Be ashamed of yourselves

That’s right be ashamed of yourselves. I come in these threads thinking I’ll read someone saying what’s happening to the people of Palestine is awful but what I end up reading is people saying they brought it on themselves because they elected Hamas.

So, what if they elected Hamas. We elected the Conservative party but they don’t speak for me, they certainly don’t act on behalf of the everyday citizen of this country. Be ashamed of yourselves for not valuing the lives of Palestinians but putting so much value on the lives of Israelis.

be ashamed of yourselves for justifying the ethnic cleansing of over 2 million people because Hamas attacked Israel in early October. Be ashamed of yourselves for standing for genocide in 2023!

be ashamed of yourselves for saying we would never allow the holocaust to happen again yet Palestinians are held in an open air prison. It’s literally been called a concentration camp, with no way in or out and they are being rampaged with bombs, white phosphorus bombs being dropped on them non stop. On Sunday night 400 died because of the bombs, over 2000 children are now dead. Be ashamed of yourselves for justifying their deaths and blaming them for it.

be ashamed of yourselves for condoning the protestors for wanting Palestinians to have a right to live a peaceful existence.

be ashamed for bringing history into justifying the slaughter of so many people. Yes, Palestinians did welcome Israelis into the holy land in the 1940’s, it doesn’t mean they get to die now. Yes, Israel has a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean Palestine doesn’t. Yes, Israel has land grabbed and continues to do so but no one is allowed to say anything. Yes, their is no Hamas in the West Bank but why are the Palestinian still being killed. Why are so many people illegally arrested mainly kids - held for decades in Israel prisons. Are they not hostages? Yea, Israel asked asked the Palestinians to move to the south with 24 hours notice for their ‘safety’ yet they are being killed in the south.

be ashamed if you ask any one who stands to defend the rights of Palestinians if they condemn Hamas. Everyone condemns Hamas. Being pro Palestinian doesn’t mean your pro-Hamas. I also condemn the barbarian acts of genocide committed by Israel. I condemn the open displays of hate for Palestinian people - calling them human animals etc.

Be ashamed if you think it’s so great they are letting a trickle of aid in but no fuel to run hospitals. Electricity ran out last night in the hospital. So many babies reliant in incubators will die as a result. be ashamed if you think it’s okay for world leaders to not call for a ceasefire and instead show 100% support to what Israel
is doing.

no one has the right to hold one life more dearer than another.

you should be ashamed of yourselves for valuing some over others.

I've just seen a clip of the interview with Ghazi Hamad. To say he's doubling down is an understatement.

https://twitter.com/MEMRIReports/status/1719662664090075199/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1719662664090075199&currentTweetUser=MEMRIReports

I'm not really sure how anything moves forward if that's meant to be a peace partner?

I saw this. How is Israel going to have a ceasefire with this Hamas guy saying they won't stop anyway.

So will only one 'side' have a ceasefire until a 7th October occurs again then off it goes again

Parkingt111 · 03/11/2023 11:47

Alquds hospital hit again resulting in 21 injuries
Mostly women and children
Imagine losing your home and everything you have
Then you take refuge in a hospital and then you get hit there too

Be ashamed of yourselves

Hezbollah in the Lebanon who also have a stated aim to 'wipe out Israel ' are making statements which the BBC have reported.
Israel are surrounded by countries with terrorist organisations with stated aim to wipe out Israel.
Not sure how a sit down to discuss a ceasefire would work with this lot. Perhaps only the US are able to negotiate. Not looking great and if only Israel have a ceasefire, what then, are they sitting ducks!

So far its response has been contained, but fears remain its involvement may widen the conflict.

Any idea when they are actually going to make their speech?
The article just says they are going to but doesn’t give an indication on time….

This is a good website to learn about what's happened in Palestine.

At this point revenge does best fit the current Israeli stance over self defence, so I have to agree

The ownership of land is such a contentious issue isn't it? But which land?
How much middle east land would you allow Israelis to be able to live in peace with their neighbours?

.

quantumbutterfly · 03/11/2023 13:52

.

I gather from the lack of answer, that like hamas you feel that Israel should have no land.

6minutes ago a report on Al Jazeera.
Interviews with Palestinians being abused and kidnapped by settlers.

Your question is ridiculous.
The West gave land to Israel. The West was happy to do that. So nobody in the West said they should have “no land”. Far from it, they have propped up Israel to the time of billions of dollars in aid.

But Israel didn’t stick to the borders that were internationally agreed.
They’ve behaved like terrorists and continue to do so in the most disgusting way. They are about to completely destabilise the entire ME and drag in the US and everyone else. How do you think the West should feel about that?

quantumbutterfly · 03/11/2023 18:12

I see Al Jazeera are funded by the Qatari government who are looking after the head of hamas.

I shall have a look at what open source journalists bellingcat have to say.

whatswrongwiththeworldddd · 03/11/2023 18:25

Just like the BBC are in bed with Israel too. Their reporting is awful and has misinformed the nation. You just have to look at the language they use to report.

I cannot answer for 'the west'. West of what?

If Israel were within the borders you mention, would it be allowed to exist in peace.

The BBC have only just agreed to stop calling Hamas militants. They now use a rather wordy phrase to ensure they don't upset Palestinian supporters or Hamas.

There are so many wars and conflicts and some such as Darfur barely got a mention.

I imagine every news outlet or social media page has its bias. Perhaps a range of mainstream and some others. I avoid the influencer type since often so many errors in what they say.

If you don’t know what is meant by “the West” I see no point in engaging with you.
Your other questions are equally pointless.
I’d prefer not to deflect the focus from the thousands of innocent people Israel is currently killing and maiming and the millions it is making homeless.

How is this a pointless question? It speaks to the heart of the conflict.

But of course you cannot speak for the 'middle east' any more than I can speak for 'the west'.

I can’t speak for the Middle East certainly,
but having lived and travelled there, and met many many many ME people, I don’t share the Israeli government’s view that they are barbaric and vermin and “children of darkness”.
I think the Israeli leaderships and their hatred (with the exception of Rabin, who was murdered by an Israeli) have caused an enormous amount of trouble in the Middle East. Now more so than ever. The havoc and trauma Israel is currently wreaking is utterly shocking and will reverberate for years to come.
I can’t tell you what Israel’s neighbours would do if it stayed within its borders. Because the whole problem is, it never has.

quantumbutterfly · 03/11/2023 19:06

The whole problem?
Nothing to do with various countries trying to wipe it off the map?
OK.

You've blatantly ignored the fact that FIVE Arab States invaded and attempted to strangle the State of Israel at birth in 1948!

The five Arab States were Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Lebanon. Israel defeated them and took some territory afterwards, yes. But Israel hasn't expanded outside its borders in 1948 - it merely declared independence. The Arab invasion though meant expansion for security was possible. Not the other way round.

So, we do know what happened when Israel was within its originally defined borders.

Again in the 1967 war, Israel dealt with THREE Arab armies. And won.

Indeed, Israel has a history of using Land For Peace. Egypt became the first Arab State to normalise relations with Israel in return for getting the Sinai Peninsula back.

Trading something for peace deals aren't unusual. European States did it post-war with coal and steel too.

Jordan became the second Arab State to normalise relations with Israel too - Water For Peace is one such initiative as per Oslo 1993. Of course, it must be remembered that there is a history of attempted assassination and assassination of Jordanian Kings by Palestinian terrorists with the intent to prevent normalisation of relations.

Saudi Arabia was on the way to normalising relations with Israel via the USA when Hamas attacked.

Iran is quite clearly the biggest threat to Israel in the Middle East with their proxies across either side of Israel's borders.

The security problem must be dealt with effectively first as ANY political settlement depends on it.

Precisely. The conflict started with Arab States invading Israel upon a declaration of independence.

The conflict started then?
So it’s been going on for a while. Just like the UN said. Hamas actions on Oct 7th did not happen in a vacuum. BOTH sides have been in conflict for years.
And now Israel has ramped it up massively.

SomeCatFromJapan · 03/11/2023 20:48

You don't think October 7 was a ramping up then?

And I see people still haven't stopped trying to justify the attack either.

Not justifying killing innocent civilians as I think many many people on these threads have said. There’s no excuse for it. None.

But as has just been said, Hamas didn’t start the war on Oct 7th.
