That’s right be ashamed of yourselves. I come in these threads thinking I’ll read someone saying what’s happening to the people of Palestine is awful but what I end up reading is people saying they brought it on themselves because they elected Hamas.

So, what if they elected Hamas. We elected the Conservative party but they don’t speak for me, they certainly don’t act on behalf of the everyday citizen of this country. Be ashamed of yourselves for not valuing the lives of Palestinians but putting so much value on the lives of Israelis.

be ashamed of yourselves for saying we would never allow the holocaust to happen again yet Palestinians are held in an open air prison. It’s literally been called a concentration camp, with no way in or out and they are being rampaged with bombs, white phosphorus bombs being dropped on them non stop. On Sunday night 400 died because of the bombs, over 2000 children are now dead. Be ashamed of yourselves for justifying their deaths and blaming them for it.

be ashamed for bringing history into justifying the slaughter of so many people. Yes, Palestinians did welcome Israelis into the holy land in the 1940’s, it doesn’t mean they get to die now. Yes, Israel has a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean Palestine doesn’t. Yes, Israel has land grabbed and continues to do so but no one is allowed to say anything. Yes, their is no Hamas in the West Bank but why are the Palestinian still being killed. Why are so many people illegally arrested mainly kids - held for decades in Israel prisons. Are they not hostages? Yea, Israel asked asked the Palestinians to move to the south with 24 hours notice for their ‘safety’ yet they are being killed in the south.

be ashamed if you ask any one who stands to defend the rights of Palestinians if they condemn Hamas. Everyone condemns Hamas. Being pro Palestinian doesn’t mean your pro-Hamas. I also condemn the barbarian acts of genocide committed by Israel. I condemn the open displays of hate for Palestinian people - calling them human animals etc.

Be ashamed if you think it’s so great they are letting a trickle of aid in but no fuel to run hospitals. Electricity ran out last night in the hospital. So many babies reliant in incubators will die as a result. be ashamed if you think it’s okay for world leaders to not call for a ceasefire and instead show 100% support to what Israel
is doing.

Surely this is exactly what Israel wants
They want all Palestinians to leave. After all they’ve been through over decades I think they will stand firm to save their own land from invasion. If they leave they will never be allowed back.

I don't think Egypt is going to want refugees in the Sinai. Have Israel even asked them? I know Jordan don't want them.

@CosimoPiovasco I know, but still I think people should have the choice. I heard a man say on the news that his dream was to leave with his family, so some might want that option. Yes, it's what Israel wants, but frankly, at this point, I'd like to save as many people as possible. I don't see a ceasefire coming any time soon. Or not soon enough.
@flufferknutter No, Egypt does not want to take 2 million of them. That's why there would need to be a scheme where countries around the world could offer to take a quota. It's awful for Gazans, but isn't it worse that nobody has even offered?

It's filmed from the perspective of Israeli soldiers stuck inside a tank, ordered to clear an area, and it's based on the director's experiences as an Israeli conscript during the Lebanese war. As you can see from the trailer, there is nothing gleeful or mocking about what's depicted - quite the opposite.

The director said "The point of a film like mine is to open a dialogue, to get people talking to each other about important issues." That was 14 years ago, but maybe it's never too late.

That would certainly be the one thing to actually help the situation. Hamas stops lobbing rockets at Israel, hands back the hostages, and hand themselves over. That would end the conflict.

He makes quite clear he's happy for Palestinian civilians to be killed en masse, that he wants to wipe out Israel and he also dismisses the 7 October atrocities as "complications". They are apparently victims and can therefore not be blamed for anything they do.

I didn't want to post this but some people need to see what is happening. And this is just one child. One. This is what a ceasefire could stop.

Israel has said Hamas killed 1400 but they also admitted that most of these people were killed in the crossfire. So not all by Hamas but by Israel.

This doesn't justify murdering OVER 8000 innocent civilians including babies and children.

If they're so sure Hamas is Gaza why on earth are they bombing the West Bank and killing civilians there?

Why have they not released the names of their 1400 dead? If Palestine can, Israel surely can.

Why bomb hospitals?

Why tell the civilians to move to a safe area and then bomb them?

There are hundreds of questions you could ask about the events that unfold.
