Be ashamed of yourselves

That’s right be ashamed of yourselves. I come in these threads thinking I’ll read someone saying what’s happening to the people of Palestine is awful but what I end up reading is people saying they brought it on themselves because they elected Hamas.

So, what if they elected Hamas. We elected the Conservative party but they don’t speak for me, they certainly don’t act on behalf of the everyday citizen of this country. Be ashamed of yourselves for not valuing the lives of Palestinians but putting so much value on the lives of Israelis.

be ashamed of yourselves for justifying the ethnic cleansing of over 2 million people because Hamas attacked Israel in early October. Be ashamed of yourselves for standing for genocide in 2023!

be ashamed of yourselves for saying we would never allow the holocaust to happen again yet Palestinians are held in an open air prison. It’s literally been called a concentration camp, with no way in or out and they are being rampaged with bombs, white phosphorus bombs being dropped on them non stop. On Sunday night 400 died because of the bombs, over 2000 children are now dead. Be ashamed of yourselves for justifying their deaths and blaming them for it.

be ashamed of yourselves for condoning the protestors for wanting Palestinians to have a right to live a peaceful existence.

be ashamed for bringing history into justifying the slaughter of so many people. Yes, Palestinians did welcome Israelis into the holy land in the 1940’s, it doesn’t mean they get to die now. Yes, Israel has a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean Palestine doesn’t. Yes, Israel has land grabbed and continues to do so but no one is allowed to say anything. Yes, their is no Hamas in the West Bank but why are the Palestinian still being killed. Why are so many people illegally arrested mainly kids - held for decades in Israel prisons. Are they not hostages? Yea, Israel asked asked the Palestinians to move to the south with 24 hours notice for their ‘safety’ yet they are being killed in the south.

be ashamed if you ask any one who stands to defend the rights of Palestinians if they condemn Hamas. Everyone condemns Hamas. Being pro Palestinian doesn’t mean your pro-Hamas. I also condemn the barbarian acts of genocide committed by Israel. I condemn the open displays of hate for Palestinian people - calling them human animals etc.

Be ashamed if you think it’s so great they are letting a trickle of aid in but no fuel to run hospitals. Electricity ran out last night in the hospital. So many babies reliant in incubators will die as a result. be ashamed if you think it’s okay for world leaders to not call for a ceasefire and instead show 100% support to what Israel
is doing.

no one has the right to hold one life more dearer than another.

you should be ashamed of yourselves for valuing some over others.

@Parkingt111 Does it actually give them a voice though? Do they even know how their images are being used and the message those who they have never met are sharing on their behalf?

If you read lots of these posts and news info you will see the people of Gaza are delighted they are not standing alone in this siege.
Their families and friends are once again able to tell them they have support.
They felt alone and abandoned during Israel’s complete blackout of Gaza.
So yes, those who are interviewed are happy that their plight is reaching the world.

flufferknutter · 30/10/2023 16:03

If the people of Gaza know they are not invisible and that the outside world does care - even if their psychopathic governments don't - then it may help them feel a little less alone. Humans are social beings, they need to know they matter to someone, especially in their darkest hours.

Those ambulances may contain elite baby murdering terrorists and so are legit targets.

I understand the horror at the deaths in Palestine. What I don't understand is why people are blaming Israel and ignoring the fact that Hamas have a deliberate policy of hiding behind innocent Palestinians. Their actual policy is to maximise the number of deaths of Palestinians. It's so cynical and tbh utterly depraved, but there doesn't seem to be much criticism, just criticism of Israel.

We in the west, democracies, are supposed to be better than terrorists, we hold ourselves to higher standards.....

So if you want to sink to the level of Hamas, then fine, bomb Gaza to oblivion, with no consideration to the death toll... because thats what you re saying Israel should do, that is also their stated aim....

I don't want anyone to sink to the level of Hamas,@Alexandra2001 , so please don't put words in my mouth. Everyone can see the horror being played out in Israel and Palestine. But I truly don't understand the endless posts about how evil Israel is when the ultimate responsibility for what is happening in Palestine is Hamas'. Everything is following from the atrocities they carried out, followed now by their hideous policy of deliberately hiding behind innocent Palestinians.

Hundreds of bombs will drop on Gaza tonight, killing many innocent people, children. The responsibility for that decision, to indiscriminately target large groups of civilians as collateral damage, lies with the Israel govt and its supporters, and no one else.

CosimoPiovasco · 30/10/2023 19:30

Note.
Everything is following not from the Atrocities of 7 /10 but from years of atrocities against the Palestinian people. 7 / 10 is being used an an excuse by Israel to ramp up their activities in Gaza.

To re iterate @SeeReality s words….we do not see it!
We do not see Hamas on fishing boats as they are shot at
We do not see Hamas playing football on the beach whilst Israel shoot and kill small children playing football
We do not see Hamas hiding behind kids on roof tops when they are killed by snippers
We do not see Hamas in hospitals Living in tunnels under hospitals that are only 16metres above sea level anyway!

We mourned the loss of all those killed in Israel and now we mourn the loss of all those killed and who are continuing to be killed in Gaza.

There is no excuse for Israel to be conducting an attack on Gaza of this nature.

The Israeli government are carrying out acts of terror on Gaza. Family homes are being targeted, specifically those of journalists, at the moment. Being a legitimate government does not mean they can't also commit war crimes and acts of terrorism. What they are doing is unforgivable, and the majority agree. Support for the Israeli government, even in mainstream media, barely exists.

Fair enough, if you truly think Hamas don't have any responsibility for the deaths of the children they hide behind, then there's nothing more to say I suppose. I guess sometimes people choose to see what they want to see. And they choose to ignore what they want to ignore.

I'm with you totally. Hamas are using the Palestinians and wanted this outpouring of hate against Israel to happen. Hamas could have handed back the Israeli hostages early on and this current terrible terrible Gaza situation could have been avoided. Hamas don't care about the fate of the Gazans at all. They are using them like pawns.

Now the claims Hamas are hiding out in a hospital are unverified. Apart from a very suspicious looking "photo" from Netanyahu.
However, let's hypothetically imagine Hamas have been proven to be hiding in Al Aqsa hospital. Is it justified to then bomb it, killing the 14,000+ refugees, wounded and medics inside, just to get those Hamas fighters? Surely it would be better to send in Mossad? Can we really say "those 14,000+ deaths were worth it - a few hundred (at most) Hamas fighters were also killed"?

Edit to add: the 14,000 number of course being the reported number not just inside but the immediate vicinities, since hospital is full to bursting.

Short answer: no, I don't think the deaths of children are justifiable. What is going on is horrific. I also think Netanyahu is a terrible human being. But I also think that Hamas are, incredibly cynically and with zero regard for the lives of the people they claim to represent, choosing to hide behind civilians. They have a deliberate policy to maximise the number of Palestinian deaths. And they knew what they were doing when they went around gleefully raping and slaughtering Israelis, and uploading the videos to the internet.

@Parkingt111

Are you actually seeing what is happening or are you being fed images to feed your outrage.

Genuinely- how do those images help the people in them? How do they help solve the problem? How are they helping you?

This narrative is really harmful , do you think people want to show you these images ? Is all they got is all they can do to make people see their reality . The people on the ground like motaz are restlessly trying to show people
Like us in the west what is going on ...
is no use for everyone though as obviously some posters here are not moved at all

immigrant002 · 30/10/2023 20:04

Also i saw a line in bbc saying

Separately, Hamas has released a video of three hostages being held in Gaza. The BBC isn't showing the video as we do not publish material which may have been filmed under duress

I had to search at the video . It does show a woman very upset and very angry it doesn't look like she is reading from a script to me . She seems very angry at the israeli government for not doing more to get them out .

Bibi is saying is propaganda ...

Netanyahu doesn't care about any hostages. They've been used and the world's being played. Hamas are either useful idiots or are part of it. This situation has been contrived in order to claim Gazan land.

immigrant002 · 30/10/2023 20:22

@flufferknutter i think hamas main motive was to stop normalisation with saudi which they have achieved

Anyone see the video of mohammad hadid describing what happened when jews were moved from Germant to Palestine??
He is now being classed as an anti- semite . The story he recounts feels truthful- so why then is any negative story regarding people of the jewish faith even true is anti semite ????

Netanyahu refuses a ceasefire
The bombing continues, more die, more are maimed ,more are injured, more children become orphans and more graves are dug

In the hospitals doctors work with nothing to save the few

and all Braverman can do is lie whilst Sunak hides ….shame on them.
