Be ashamed of yourselves

That’s right be ashamed of yourselves. I come in these threads thinking I’ll read someone saying what’s happening to the people of Palestine is awful but what I end up reading is people saying they brought it on themselves because they elected Hamas.

So, what if they elected Hamas. We elected the Conservative party but they don’t speak for me, they certainly don’t act on behalf of the everyday citizen of this country. Be ashamed of yourselves for not valuing the lives of Palestinians but putting so much value on the lives of Israelis.

be ashamed of yourselves for justifying the ethnic cleansing of over 2 million people because Hamas attacked Israel in early October. Be ashamed of yourselves for standing for genocide in 2023!

be ashamed of yourselves for saying we would never allow the holocaust to happen again yet Palestinians are held in an open air prison. It’s literally been called a concentration camp, with no way in or out and they are being rampaged with bombs, white phosphorus bombs being dropped on them non stop. On Sunday night 400 died because of the bombs, over 2000 children are now dead. Be ashamed of yourselves for justifying their deaths and blaming them for it.

be ashamed of yourselves for condoning the protestors for wanting Palestinians to have a right to live a peaceful existence.

be ashamed for bringing history into justifying the slaughter of so many people. Yes, Palestinians did welcome Israelis into the holy land in the 1940’s, it doesn’t mean they get to die now. Yes, Israel has a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean Palestine doesn’t. Yes, Israel has land grabbed and continues to do so but no one is allowed to say anything. Yes, their is no Hamas in the West Bank but why are the Palestinian still being killed. Why are so many people illegally arrested mainly kids - held for decades in Israel prisons. Are they not hostages? Yea, Israel asked asked the Palestinians to move to the south with 24 hours notice for their ‘safety’ yet they are being killed in the south.

be ashamed if you ask any one who stands to defend the rights of Palestinians if they condemn Hamas. Everyone condemns Hamas. Being pro Palestinian doesn’t mean your pro-Hamas. I also condemn the barbarian acts of genocide committed by Israel. I condemn the open displays of hate for Palestinian people - calling them human animals etc.

Be ashamed if you think it’s so great they are letting a trickle of aid in but no fuel to run hospitals. Electricity ran out last night in the hospital. So many babies reliant in incubators will die as a result. be ashamed if you think it’s okay for world leaders to not call for a ceasefire and instead show 100% support to what Israel
is doing.

no one has the right to hold one life more dearer than another.

you should be ashamed of yourselves for valuing some over others.

More hospitals being hit

Hit... targeted, I suspect. 😔

I just heard a R 4 BBC newsclip. In my view it was very very misleading. Immediately after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel when Gaza had full comms Israel told those in the north to move to the South. Everyone knows that. Thus the point that comms may now be currently down is irrelevant. They were warned a while back and if they chose to stay with the terrorists in the North they have been warned.

Do you know the size of gaza vs the amount of people living there.
Asking 1.1 million people to move in one of the most densely populated places on earth is a violation of rights
It is forced displacement
Where should these people go?
Many moved to the south and then were bombed in ISRAELI DESIGNATED safe spaces in the SOUTH
These people are being attacked whilst in a cage by land, air and sea
Many do not have cars
No means to move the elderly and the ill
Should they abandon them to save their own lives when there is no guarantee that the south is even safe
Should they leave their elderly grandparents to rot and die at home in a bid for a safety that is not even guaranteed?

Thisworld10 · 28/10/2023 17:51

in 2019 (but I’ve seen now) it was revealed that the Gaza Strip has ‘sizeable reservoirs oil and natural gas’ quoting this directly from the article.

also last time Palestinians were temporarily forced to flee their homes they weren’t allowed back.

Half a million people turned out in support of the people of Palestine in London today.

The doctors have said
They cannot move the patients. It is a death sentence for them
Rather they will stay with them and protect them till the end, till their own deaths

The Palestinians were warned to move south. The Israelis have now started bombing the route to the south and the south of the Gaza Strip. Israel has now murdered them.

How exactly were the majority meant to move when the Israelis have blown up the roads and vehicles and restricted fuel supplies? What about the elderly, the disabled and those too ill? What about those new born babies in the hospital intensive care units?
If they head south, where exactly were they meant to go to?
All Israel are doing with these statements are trying to cover up the war crimes being lodged against them - unsuccessfully.

Parkingt111 · 28/10/2023 17:59

@Xenia just for one minute forget everything and put yourself in their shoes
You were told to move south or risk being blown up to pieces
You have nowhere to go in the south
You have no means to take your elderly grandma with you. Are you staying or going? Many are in a impossible situation and Israel fully well knows this
Would you be making excuses for Israel and saying well atleast they warned me

Nope, this ain't it although I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say here. Nevertheless, I have to say I've found some of your posts on this thread and others pretty chilling and you certainly don't speak for me as a British Jew (one who fiercely supports Israel's right to exist and do so in peace without the threat of terrorists). Would a bit of basic compassion really hurt you - are you really that immune to all the bloodshed?

Thisworld10 · 28/10/2023 18:17

This is in the south today. So they are asking people to not get bombed in the north but to go to the south and get bombed their instead.

Be ashamed of yourselves

825 families are said to have been wiped out in Palestine! Wiped out! Entire families gone in 3 weeks.

Some of the citizens in Tel Aviv are protesting asking the Israeli government to bring their citizens back. I hope the Israeli government listens because they are still continuing to bomb the Gaza strip and as we know that isn’t good for the Palestinian civilians or the hostages. The Israeli citizens must be so scared for their family members being kept hostage and especially with all this bombing. I pray for all of the innocent people on both sides embroiled in all of this.

I can only assume that they're being instructed to do this so they can be flushed out in order to be killed. Less places to hide in the south perhaps. Horrific.

I cant take the images and videos on twitter OMG, the screams.

Seeing chikdren the same age as mine hanging dead in someone's arms...

It makes you think if that was happening to you would the world just sit and watch?

Absolutely they would just sit and watch. This is what I find most chilling. One day it might be us.

Just seeing posts here, it's not too far off the imagination.

Just seeing posters say that people peacefully marching for ceasefire are "calling for an end to Israel" is depressing.

NmeChngeFail · 28/10/2023 23:15

My son banged his head on the hard edge of the sofa earlier and I felt a small skip in my heart, waiting to see if he had minutely hurt himself for a second.

It made me think of what the mothers must be feeling when they are living out those videos.

I can't even comprehend.

I check twitter because it gives me the most up to date news and I can also see different news sources. But it is not good for your mental health. Its relentless.

I saw a child being operated on with no anaesthetic. Children saying goodbye to their siblings and saying they will see them soon.

Its like a bad horror movie and now the communications have been cut off! It seems the worse is still to come.

NmeChngeFail · 28/10/2023 23:20

If I'm honest, I dont see the point in protesting. I genuinely feel that no government is going to do anything.

People are saying, "but surely when it reaches xyz level the world governments will do something...?" And I actually tell them no, nothing is going to get done.

My hope is gone.

Also reading that now people are getting evicted in the West Bank aswell, they're getting attacked from both sides.

Its all so fucking heartbreaking. I've seen so many dead babies, so many dead toddlers over the past few weeks. So many little children screaming for their dead mums. So much fear and pain and grief and loss. How do they ever recover from that? It is utterly unconceivable to me. How do you keep going when in some cases your entire family has been taken away. Not just your family but your home is rubble. Your school is rubble. Everything you know and love is just dust.

I can't imagine being a mum there in the dark with my children hearing bombs going off all around me, knowing that there is no help on the way, that there is nothing you can do to protect your children, there is nothing you can do at all but sit there in the dark and hold them close. Then as the sun rises you know you have to do it all over again, there is no end to this in sight, this is life now. It's just fucking heartbreaking.

Thisworld10 · 28/10/2023 23:55

@NmeChngeFail I felt like that when the Iraq war happened, I went out and protested thinking it would make a difference, that Tony Blair would listen to our voices. It didn’t make an ounce of difference. I never protested again after that until this happened. Even then I was sceptical when I went out to protest but it helped to protest, even though I know ever year the people of Palestine are treated horrifically, killed for just being alive, detained without charge etc. each year, each Ramadan when Israel attacks the Palestinians I post on social media and it doesn’t make a difference. This year I didn’t post, I refused to look at posts about it so I wouldn’t feel for them but they still suffered whether I look or not. What could I do I’m only 1 voice with little to no influence.

Anyway, my point is this time it feels like more people are becoming aware, more people are united in raising awareness of what’s happening. The protests helped raise awareness and the social media movement has been different this time. I think the attacks on 7th Oct and the protests to free Palestine made people stop and question and seek out what’s happening. So protesting has worked.

Just today because people are united they managed to get Elon M to use his Starlink satellite to connect Aid agencies back with the world. That is a real difference - Gaza is not in complete darkness anymore. This completely pissed off the Israeli comms/telecoms person who ofcourse like the rest of the Israeli govt threw a tantrum when things didn’t go his way.

so please don’t feel hopeless collectively we can make a difference.

Netanyahu has called all Palestinians Amalek. What is an Amalek - I’m not Jewish or Zionist so don’t have a clue - can someone explain please (in very basic Judaism for dummies language)?

Google says In 1 Samuel 15:1–9, Samuel identifies Amalek as the enemy of Israelites, saying "Thus says the Lord of hosts: I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt." God then commands Saul to destroy the Amalekites.

So Netanyahu thinks Hamas are Amalek? Is this because of the 7th Oct attack? So then is this his reasoning for what he’s doing on the strip now? Does he then think all Palestinians are Hamas?
