The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

On my way out to destroy any possible brain cells with more wine!

crowette · 20/08/2010 18:46

I've been to the family planning clinic and got myself de-coiled Grin so am now officially mad TTC! Eeekk!!

baby2b · 20/08/2010 18:46

Have a great weekend ladies x Wink

BrassicaBabe · 20/08/2010 19:18

Congrats on the de-coiling crow Grin Let the shagging commence!

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 19:38

Dagnamit! AF has arrived so officially not pg. But, I can don the cape again next month and we have decided to JS like mad next time so we have best possible chance.

I'm actually feeling etter now I know for definite, was going slightly mad before! Grin

Sorry for driving you all nuts! Blush

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/08/2010 20:58

Heh, Josie think we're all driving ourselves nuts, not you! Grin

Hurrah Crow let the good shags roll!

Wish I had a life. This lack of a babysitter thingy is driving me nuts. I'm actually watching Wu-How. Sober. (Sobs quietly in the corner)

SleepyCaz · 20/08/2010 21:20

Was the service and burial for one of my best friend's little grl today, she was stillborn. It was hard, but her and her DP were so brave. I'd have had to be held up, but she was such a rock. Made me feel extremely humble to be moaning so much about it taking time to get preg.

Brassica Had my coil out at the start of July. AF is awful today, so so heavy, Having to use Tampax mega-big with a sanitary towel too, as they keep soaking. Am lying on couch watching Masterchef Final while DH and DS camp in a tent in our garden Grin
Bless DH, he bought me a bar or Bournville, Tampax and some paracetamol home from work.

Have been out to buy DS's PE kit for starting reception today. Bawled when I got home, he seems too little!!

Crow Wooo!! Get that shag-cape on? Is it a sexy one??

No more How you doing? Is WuHow any good? Keep meaning to watch it.

*Josie, AF suck's doesn't it? Hugs.

I want Christine to win. I also want wine, but we only have Carling!! Agg.

vallinnapod · 21/08/2010 18:23

KIPPER PLEASE!

Despite everything, I just Googled 'itchy nose as a sign of pregnancy'

Right, back to the hangover munchies...

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/08/2010 19:05

Points and laughs at Vallinna.

Can't believe I'm looking smoking hot sexy for DH and I'm to tired to want to do anyting with it. Stupid insommnia.

Truffkin · 22/08/2010 11:49

Morning (just!) ladies, hope you are all having js filled weekends.

Josie sorry to hear about ertd making an unwelcome arrival, here's to a fun month of js in excess!

This weekend I have spent time with my friend who is almost 2 years into TTC with PCOS and 7 months on clomid. She's feeling quite positive though and has developed a great 'whatever's meant to be' attitude. Had a fab time and much frantic wine related romantic jsing and we're now off to watch the Villa match at the pub (combined with lunch and more wine)

Enjoy the rest of Sunday!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 22/08/2010 18:22

Gosh it's quiet in here this weekend. everyone must be out drinking poas shagging Grin.

Pant snot tells me I'm on track to ovulate on Weds. Fingers crossed I haven't missed counted and ov on Tues when I have guests staying over! Either way operation seduce DH is working quite nicely. WinkGrin

How has everyone elses weekend been?

cowboylover · 22/08/2010 19:14

Ok probably TMI but what the hell does very pink light spotting mean? Only lasted a few hours?

I was waiting for pant snot as I thought it was ovulating day but then I had that?

Dont want to google or I will be pregnant, my womb is falling out or I am about to wont the lottery Smile

Anyone else had this?

baby2b · 22/08/2010 19:28

Yep, thought it was implantation bleeding but it wasn't. I did google it and mid cycle it's meant to be an excellent sign of fertility! :)

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 22/08/2010 19:47

That's what google told me too. It just proves that sometimes googling is a good thing!

CBL go forth and get knocked up is what your spotting means Grin

NervousNelly · 22/08/2010 22:43

Hello everyone! Hope you had an enjoyable weekend? Mine was more drunken than I intended, whoops! Was at a family party and to avoid all the "when are you having kids questions" I obviously had to drink 5 GnTs followed by "some" red wine Wink. Though in my defence this was over the course of 10 hours!

Oh well, this was happily followed by some hilarious JS as OH had to keep telling me to shut up, as we were staying at my Mum's house (sorry if TMI!!!).

Was surprisingly feeling ok today, just tired. Off to bed soon. Only another week till ERTD due; I'm not particularly feeling guily about the alcohol consumption though, as my one qualifying shag this month means it's highly unlikely I'll be PG. In the meantime I intend to continue in the spirit of the thread, sometimes having sex just for the sheer fun of it Grin

Hope everyone else is getting their wicked wayWink.

vallinnapod · 23/08/2010 13:30

Hey viriods - hope the weekends were all good!

After drunken Thursday and Friday I laid off the booze.

Rather frustratingly I have all the symptoms of early pregnancy AF. Sore boobs, absolutely knackered, spots around my mouth (that could just be the glue sniffing Wink), bloated, tearful... Yet thanks to the array of tests I have been under I still hold out some hope know neither is the case. GAH!

milanomum · 23/08/2010 13:39

hey girlies - hope you all had a good weekend.

Vallina how frustrating for you! maybe it's not a bad idea to switch to a new doctor if she's only there once a week.

nervous I like your attitude! I had a great weekend but overdid the booze a bit too.

Will be working on wickedness as I'm on CD5 and that means the shag cape will be most definitely doing its duty over the next, oh, 10 days or so ;)

milanomum · 23/08/2010 13:40

cross-posted (ish) vallina ... double GAH!

NervousNelly · 23/08/2010 15:52

Vallinna it does sound as though something is happening, I do hope so

I also have the spots around the mouth this month, but suspect that's more to do with too much booze and not enough personal grooming ;)

Milano enjoy being wicked - lots of BFP vibes coming your way :)

NervousNelly · 23/08/2010 15:58

Oh vallinna I also wanted to tell you, and anyone else who have yet to see ERTD (re)appear, about a family friend.

She only ever had about one period a year, yet had 4 daughters! They were born in umm 1971, 74, 76 and 79. So I'd say that's a fairly good strike rate considering! I don't think evolution has moved on that much in 30 years, so for those who seem to see no sign of the dreaded ERTD, it can still work :)

(Though as this is the JS thread, we aren't concerning ourselves with that Wink)

takethatlady · 23/08/2010 16:10

Hello ladies,

Sorry I've been away - went home to visit parents and DH's parents, who live near each other. It was MOST annoying. My mum is planning ways of moving near me and destroying my life, tried to persuade me to give up my entire life where I am (and where I have job I love/home and friends/where DH has job he's happy in, and where we are happy) to move back home and be near her so SHE can see more of the grandchild I have just lost/not yet conceived. She also asked me if I thought I should give up alcohol because it might have contributed to the early miscarriage. On the funny side, we watched Atonement and my 17-year-old step-sister and her boyfriend were there, and my mum managed to be both patronising and horrifying when she asked them if they had ever heard of the word 'c*' before (pivotal to the plot). What is that woman on? This close to telling her to fuck right off...

Rant over! Went out with DH's sisters and got pissed and danced to crappy music which is always good for shaking off the stress. Bleeding stopped today so I'm ready to shag on.

Thanks for the messages, and thanks for the message of hope loopeylu. My cycles are all over the shop anyway so it can't make much difference! STarted on the agnus castus now [hears the crackle and snap of yet another rule breaking ...]

Vallinna that's crap. You need to kick that doctor into touch. You're paying for this aren't you? I'd make a fuss. Actually, I wouldn't make a fuss because I'm an idiot and I never make a fuss, but if you've got the balls I'd throw some stink bombs at them! Sounds hopeful that your body is kicking into action though? Once it gets going you'll be fine I reckon.

Better go off and get shagged up ...

gormers · 23/08/2010 16:46

Hi all,

Been away for a few days and just caught up with everything today.

Takethat - I'm so so sorry to hear what's happened, I can't imagine how hard it must be. But it sounds like you've dealt with everything in an absolutely remarkable way, all my thoughts and cyber hugs are with you. Good luck and have fun with the Just Shagging this month!

Vallinna - I agree, symptoms have to be a positive thing, means that at least things are moving on in some way. I also agree that your dr needs a bit of a gentle KUTA. I work in the nhs, and know that all the private pts we get expect and do get better service than your team is giving. They would also use results from other practictioners, so if there was another doc that was available more than one session a week and a bit more forthcoming with info, then you could consider moving across.

Hope everyone else is well, enjoy the JSing!!! The Graduate board awiats you all!xxxx

cowboylover · 23/08/2010 17:32

Thaks for googling for me!

Im away from DH for the rest of the week so im lookig forward til the weeked already.

Happy JS Smile

crowette · 23/08/2010 18:34

Hallo ladies!

Shag cape is firmly on! And yes, it's a sexy one Wink

Other half did have a wobble, thought he was going to change his mind, but it was something he had on his mind that he'd been putting off telling me in case I left him. In the end he told me and it is a total non-issue to me. He'd been worrying for nothing, the dafty.

Had a hug after our chat, one thing led to another and now he's being all protective possible father to be - all excited too, bless him Grin

Hope everyone is well :)

takethatlady · 24/08/2010 08:52

Hello ladies,

Right, I'm back on the shag wagon [the shwagon?] and it's got bright pink go-faster stripes on it and dice in the mirror... it's just GOT to get me preggo soon...

Lol at your DH crowette, mine sort of did that a couple of weeks ago. He told me something absolutely ridiculous and freaked me right out about how serious he thought it was, and then thought I was a saint for not caring two hoots about it! Men are weird ... perhaps they have hidden babymaking hormones nobody knows about. Definitely they discuss this on the alternative universe dadsnet thread.

Right, I now have one week to finish writing before I start my new job. Of course I wish I was rocking up pregnant but at least I won't be squeezing a bump into hiding straight away!
