The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Morning ladies [waves],

pmsl takethat, didn't think anyone was worse than me for messing about with pee sticks, but I hand my crown to you! Grin

My news is starting to get a little better. Had second blood test yesterday and the pregnancy seems to be resolving naturally. This is horrible, but a lot better than the alternatives. Not sure when I can start ttc again, got a ton of questions when I'm back at the docs tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a lucky weekend JSing Wink

takethatlady · 13/08/2010 14:36

Just PIA(nother)R. Tesco cheapy. There is a pink line but it's so faint it might be because I stared at the control line so hard that I could still see it when I looked in the empty square Grin

DH says he can see it (but only after I made him get down on all fours to squint at it while holding it at a special angle to the light).

Just to let all you other bleedin' nutters know, in Tesco atm they're doing one test for £3.60, or a double pack for .... £3.60. Go figure. So I bought two double packs, just to make sure I go nuts...

takethatlady · 13/08/2010 14:38

Aaaw thanks baby2b. We can share the crown. I'll have it today [grabs crown from baby's head and runs away cackling...] and you can have it back next month.

You seem to be dealing really well with your sad news. Glad that things are working out naturally, though, so you don't have anything worse to deal with.

crowette · 13/08/2010 15:14

thanks takethatlady, you could have at least shaken it dry before waving it ~ I've got to go wash my face now!! Grin

I feel at home already :)

Now we've finally decided to go for it, I'm impatient and want to get started straight away. But AF arrive this morning, still got coil in and can't see me getting it removed in time for this cycle, dammit!!! Also think OH would like another month to 100% get used to the idea - although he assures me he already is, he just said to me last night 'well, it's not like you'll be able to get it sorted in time for this month, is it??' just a little too hopefully of me having to wait Hmm

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 13/08/2010 18:01

Takethat you're so cute, even with the nutcase crown on.

Crowette you sound like you're where I was a month ago. Descion made but still full of coil. My tip is to check with you GP that they are competant comfortable removing coils as you might be better going to your local family planning clinic. Otherwise I have my fingers crossed it pops straight out for you Grin.

21 days until next AF due, so just chilling out waiting for pant snot and side pain here.

gormers · 13/08/2010 20:03

Blimey ladies! Quite a morning!!

Just to let you know that I started a Just Shagging Graduates thread on the antenatal thread ready for us all to meet up on the other side when we graduate. Will be great to see if we stay as crazysane on the other side!

On graduation day, join the thread no matter when you're due - we'll all miss each other if we just stick with our 'due month' thread.

Takethat - I have a good feeling that I could be seeing you over there in the next few days.xx

baby2be - Am so sorry to hear of what's happened and have huge admiration for the way you seem to be dealing with it. WIshing you all the best.xx

See you all v soon ladies!

takethatlady · 13/08/2010 21:02

Yay! The one downside of having hope was thinking of leaving this thread. Well done gormers :) Really hope I'm over there. Testing again in the morning. Both the tests still have lines on, including the one I did this afternoon and didn't tamper with!

Either way, though, I'll still be checking in here! I love it!

crowette · 14/08/2010 09:10

NoMoreChocBiscuits thanks! I'm very tempted to call the family planning clinic and book an appointment for next week anyway - I don't do waiting very well!

takethatlady · 14/08/2010 10:16

Hello ladies,

Woke up this morning at 6am. Managed to hold out until 7am (only went to bed at 1.30 so it wasn't really that many hours since last pee). Did a test, took it back up to bed, waited 10 minutes, and in the half-light of the bedroom couldn't see a line so thought it's all over and went back to bed. When I woke up again at 8 there was a really really really faint pink line.

Saved the pee, so dipped another stick in the ramekin, set my alarm for 10 minutes exactly - and now there's another really really really really faint pink line. So faint I said to DH, 'no, there's nothing', and then he took it from me and said 'there definitely is', and under the light you can see it again.

Not getting carried away though. Got one test left for tomorrow. AF due Monday I think, so then I'll do a digital. If AF doesn't arrive I'll start to think it's possible ...

takethatlady · 14/08/2010 11:36

Just checking my four preg tests and all of them, especially today's two, have firm pink lines on them now.

They've obviously got much firmer since the development time was over, so there's still a bit of doubt in my mind.

But I'm starting to believe I've planted a sprog in my belly and that it's possibly starting to grow. Bit worried about the amount I watered it with wine (a bottle on Friday, probably two bottles on an empty stomach on Sunday, and a bottle and a bit on Wednesday Blush) but have stopped now.

The moment I start believing stuff like this it turns out I've done something stupid though.

Was it JKS's DH who didn't believe it? Mine won't until the doctor confirms it. He wants me to do a Clear Blue digital today. But I'm worried to do it because it's so black and white (I typed 'shite' then, by mistake lol). And they're less sensitive.

But I do still have that pot of pee in the bathroom, festering ...

takethatlady · 14/08/2010 12:51

Ladies wheeeeeere have you all gooooooone [listens out for echo reverberating around JS cave ...]

Just took a digi - PREGNANT 1-2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!

YYYYYYYYYYYYIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I cannot believe it! DH believes it now. I am going to get me some Schloer and a Turkish delight and have a par-tay.

Thank you so much girls for all your support. Baby dust to all still waiting!

30andMerkin · 14/08/2010 12:54

COngrats TakeTHat awesome news!!

AF finally deigned to turn up here a sodding WEEK late for the first time in ooh, about 9 years. Mother Nature sure has an interesting sense of humour!

So, with the wisdom of six days of panic, I shall say it again:
step away from the early response testers ladies!!!

vallinnapod · 14/08/2010 13:24

takethat congrats lady!! Awesome news xx

I PIAJ this morning to dip my first OPK. Two lime apparently. I had to dip and leave as was late for the hair dressers so left DH to tell me. I then said, well be better get at it later then, knowing today is full on drinking for him, and tiddly-drinking for me, to be told not to make it mechanically. I think my create card statement for my huge number of dildocams is spur enough, mechanical or not!

Hope you all have lots of JSing and wine this w/ e x

takethatlady · 14/08/2010 14:28

Thanks 30 and gormers. Chuffed to bits over here. Good luck with your JSing weekends! I've got some lucky shag cape material - I'll send it your way :)

baby2b · 14/08/2010 18:26

Congrats Takethat! xxxxxxx Grin

baby2b · 14/08/2010 18:37

p.s. thanks for all the nice comments. You guys keep me hopeful and make me laugh when I need it. x

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 14/08/2010 19:44

Wolf whistles at TakeThat as she has obviously been shagging like a filthy JustShagger. Congrats and well done. Grin

I agree with you baby2b this place is the perfect place for being made to smile when a smile is needed.

SleepyCaz · 15/08/2010 00:48

HURRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! Well done takethat :)

JosieSmith1 · 15/08/2010 09:25

Congrats takethat! Really pleased for you!

I have been getting some cramping but I have that bug that's going round so probably that. I'm getting more and more excited as the weekend ERTD is due lurks!

And sorry to keep going on, but for everyone who asked, horsey is much much better now thanks! Though my dog is ill now! Just can't win Sad. She'll be ok though, we know what's going on there. Maybe I shouldn't have kids with all these dilapidated animals around!

BrassicaBabe · 15/08/2010 10:12

Wow! Takethat Huge congratulations!! You must be seriously in shock over the moon Grin Have you stopped PIAR yet?!

Vallinna do OPKs work on clomid?

Glad horsey is better josie hope the vet and the subsequent bills were avoided! Smile

I had my first opk Smile yesterday. DH seems to be taking the JSing more seriously this month. I think he's hoping to get me knocked up before he has to JIAJ Wink

Is it okay to use Ann Summers pleasure gel wen TTC?

NervousNelly · 15/08/2010 10:40

Hi Everyone

I'm new on MN and hope I'm posting to the right thread, as there seem to be lots of sub-threads for every stage of the process. I'm easily confused.....

So anyway, as of this morning, OH has agreed to "Throw our contraception in the bin and our legs in the air" Shock

We are just seeing what happens at the moment (hence the JS thread!), but I'm so excited and nervous at the same time, I was bursting to tell someone. I went through the list of all my close friends, and finally settled on a bunch of complete strangers! Out of interest, has anyone told RL friends what their plans are? I have been talking to one or two friends over the last year or so about how broody I am and how OH has not been interested, but I don't know whether to tell them we've finally moved on a stage.

Is it normal to feel terrified at this stage???? So many questions! Sad to admit I'm (ahem) well into my 30s and know so little about it all!

I'm looking forward to sharing the craziness with you all :)

vallinnapod · 15/08/2010 12:02

Welcome Nelly! We all started off as sane, normal individuals and I think we all still are but the world of JSing sends you into temporary insanity!

brassica OPKs are a minefield on Clomid and with PCOS...I've read you should never use them with PCOS as you have higher than average LH any way so get false positives. You shouldn't use them while taking Clomid or for the 5 days afterwards for similar reasons. My cons mentioned she'd give themto me to pee on after my scan on Monday so bought eBay cheapies as a two fingers to their private prices Grin. so I of course PIAJ the second they arrive. They are way more confusing than PG tests. A control line and a faint line is a negative apparently (the two I did were like this) shagged any way....

takethatlady · 15/08/2010 12:34

Thanks ladies. Welcome nervousnelly! Don't be nervous - it's fatal to the shagathons you're going to need to go on. I'm not so much in shock as really excited! DH won't let me tell our parents until I've been to the doctor tomorrow to have it confirmed. I told him the doctor will just take my word for it, but apparently he needs to know the doctor has said it first! Men!

And no brassica I have not stopped PIAR! Have decided to use up my remaining tests for fun - yesterday I had one Tesco stick left and bought two Digi Clear Blues and two cheapy Boots. Did the first Clear Blue - preg. So this morning did another Clear Blue (still preg) and a Boots - the faintest line of all the lines I now have racked up and in the tiniest little square - they're rubbish tests!

Got another Boots and a Tesco's to do tomorrow Grin. Think I have a pathological PIAR urge. At least now I can just keep eating the Gu puds guilt free :)

Can't wait to see more of you guys over on the graduate thread - good luck!

NervousNelly · 15/08/2010 18:01

Thanks for the welcomes :)

Don't worry, am definitely not nervous about the shagathons per-se! OH in shower just now and already wondering if he'll see what I'm up to if I suggestively wander about naked once he's finished Hmm Think I'm probably right in the middle of my cycle, so no time like the present????

Congratulations takethat, though the vision of you rushing off to the loo every 10 minutes to try another test is causing me to chuckle :)

takingtheplunge · 15/08/2010 19:58

Hello again...had a sort of month off there as RL got a bit overwhelming. congrats Takethatlady!!!! You must be thrilled! Will you be sliding off to the pregnancy threads now?
Period arrived today so now at the beginning of a new cycle, if we conceived this month the baby would be due just before my birthday at the grand old age of 36! Finally got some cheapo piss-sticks over t'internet so won't cost me 8 euro a pop (or should I say, piss) this month. But POASing is a while away yet....got some shagging to do first!
Am I missing something or did frak get herself up the duff?

xx
