The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Poor you NMCB sounds grotty.

Another 4 days for me before AF due. No symptoms. But only 2 internet cheapies in the house so I'm avoiding the BFN for now.

vallinnapod · 30/07/2010 12:45

Afternoon ladies,

Got a guilt DH at the mo who had a drunken go at me for not being affectionate enough! I wouldn't snuggle up to him in the cab home last night as we were going over speed bumps and I needed the loo! Cue very guilty and affectionate hubby this morning Bit of a 180 from basically accusing me of using him for sex!

I love drunken mini-arguements as I am invariably in the right! Plus the guilt is an amazing bargaining tool!

Weekend of drinking ahead. Am aiming for liver failure as I see the doc next Tuesday for my ovulation jump start!

baby2b · 30/07/2010 14:40

I love mini-arguements too and especially the making up JSing.

My boy is away on a lads weekend, so not much to report here. Still got AF, so will probably just drink lots this weekend and eat lots of naughty food!

Good luck Brassica!

BrassicaBabe · 30/07/2010 16:17

Hmm, rather gassy

PG symptom or symptom of 2 nights of cauli-curry (super low fat/calorie)??!

JustKeepSwimming · 30/07/2010 16:43

but what nibbles have you got?

Trying to resist my bulk lot of cheapie tests, it's far too early still

CD24 here, 9 days til AF...

BrassicaBabe · 30/07/2010 17:02

I've got more cauliflower curry if that helps JKS I've determined to lose a couple of lbs this week!

Less than 30% chance of a positive test at this stage - might help stop you from peeing on sticks

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 30/07/2010 17:35

Cranberry juice is REVOLTING and your mojitos are evil B2B (but only because I can't have any ).

Brassica I'll swap your caulicurry for my kidney infection. Both are good for weightlose, but I figure yours is more fun. Mind you at least I get to laze about in bed while DH(shocked face) is washing the dishes!!!

No AF here, but I think it'll arrive tomorrow.

Any fun plans for this weekend? (other than much boozing you pack of drunken hussies lucky girls)

JustKeepSwimming · 30/07/2010 18:35

Cauli cheese not really my cup of tea sorry!

I'm more a Kettle Chips kind of gal

Not much boozing here, well a few glasses maybe, lol.

PIL here so not going to test until after they've gone anyway, and always want to test first thing, so Monday will be my first chance - still too early i know but hey, i've got lots of tests

vallinnapod · 30/07/2010 19:14

So I get home from work and some eBay cheapies have turned up. Now how DID that happen

That's the problem not having a period, at some point I hope I'll ovulate so I keep POAS every two weeks just in case! [insert some sort of loon emoticon]

BrassicaBabe · 30/07/2010 19:28

vallinna Well, at are only cheap.

Ooh Kettle chips. I'd murder for some of those. Put on half a stone recently though and it's got to go!

First glass of wine down for the night. Bit oof a gap now while I mooch in front of the telly before showering and heading off to the pub.

takethatlady · 30/07/2010 23:41

Girls you've put on such a spread since I've been gone - cauliflower curry, kettle chips .... you shouldn't have!

Just to say I love mini-arguments and make-up sex too. We had an argument after seeing Inception last night, because I said I thought it was structured like the paradox/Escher-style staircases in the film and DH said he didn't know what I meant and I said it was a paradox and he said he didn't know what I meant and I said it was like the staircase and he said he didn't know what I meant and I felt like I was back in the film and we were never going to get out of the conversation but keep going round and round so I yelled (only a little bit) and then he got afraid and wouldn't speak anymore and then I said I felt like he was Mr Nice Guy and I was Little Miss Loon and he said he was the one who should feel like a lunatic and then we went to bed. And then we woke up and realised how stupid we were and JSed like bunnies

Had pant snot, too, yesterday, and we JSed before we went to the film too, so fingers crossed.

ViveLaFrak · 31/07/2010 09:00

Well my catalogue of circumstantial symptoms is increasing - bloating, sore boobs, nausea, tiredness but inability to actually fucking sleep and excessive crying.

All except the nausea and tiredness are typical AF signs though. And the tiredness could be insomnia related. This is bloody confusing....

Hope you get better soon NMCB!

BrassicaBabe · 31/07/2010 09:14

Could be promising though Vive When's AF due?

I am a fecking idiot! Had the urge to POAS today even though AF not due til Wednesday.

BFfeckingN. Let me tell you folks, there are no "evapouration" lines. When it's N it really is N with no hint of a line. (Internet cheapie)

I kinda had a little pact with God, except he wasn't playing We've got friends coming for dinner tonight and it will be a very boozy night. So I said that if I could get a BFP early then I wouldn't drink tonight

SleepyCaz · 31/07/2010 09:14

Ooooh cauli curry?! Sounds v nice. I had a Fray Bentos pie and baked beans for tea last night! Followed up by a Bournville bar! The dark choc is low calorie, you see

Stiil 'just sleeping' here

These dissolvable stitches don't seem to be dissolving fast enough for me!

DH left for work this am at 7.30am, and didn't even leave me a coffee on the table. He did do breakfast for one of the DC's though (the easy one!)

Vallinna I am useless at mini arguments! Always end up just giving in, which infuriates DH!

Is now too early for one of those mojito's?

Got a wedding at 3.30pm, but it is freezing cold and pissing with rain, bound to ruin my nice new dress (huffs)!

VLF how long til you can test?

TTL pant-snot is my word of the day!!

BrassicaBabe · 31/07/2010 09:23

Missed your post up there takethat Yeah for pant snot! Let your 2WW be swift and succesful my dear!

I'm still cringing for your lady bits injury Sleepy

No arguements or make up sex for me, just drunken JSing. DH seems to have found a love of 69. Never been particularly impressed with that one, but twice this week and I'm being converted.

baby2b · 31/07/2010 10:26

Morning ladies, hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks on Holiday from Monday. Hopefully being away will allow for lots of JSing and win me a baby!

If my cycle isn't messed up I will be back around 2WW. Hope to come back to exciting news takethat and ViveLaFrak.

p.s. sleepy it's never too early for a cocktail!

SleepyCaz · 31/07/2010 10:36

yums up the early mojito

Good luck with the holiday sex, B2B

Brassica I am a bit 'meh' about 69, but my DH loves it too! Take it it's an aperitif to the actual 'act' as it were?

Have massive headache now and reeeaaaalllly can't be arsed with this wedding later! Am not even going to be drinking!

gormers · 31/07/2010 11:47

Sleepy - yowzers at your injury! Sounds awful - admiration for the brave face and determination to still js!!

Frak - sounds like good potential to me, how long until testing wouldn't be deemed officially crazy?!

Not much js this week as have been on nights and only seen DH for a very sleepy hour each day - only managed to overcome the sleepiness twice! Entered the 2 week crazies 2WW now.

Talking of which, anyone else work in the NHS and find the use of "2WW" a little weird now when talking about hopefully happy news?!!

Off to brother in laws for a BBQ today. Anyone else think it's unreasonable for him to call us at 6.30 last night and ask us to make desert for tonight, and be there at 3pm today (2 hours drive away!). Of course, we have no Friday night/sat morning plans - we'll make the bloody food for your do! That's precious JS time that we've now lost out on!!!

BrassicaBabe · 01/08/2010 01:55

Crap night. Night in with friends I don't see for 3 months at a time was crashed by(normally lovely) BIL and wife who I see nearly every day!

Poor DH now understands how important it is that I see "my people" sometimes as we live in the pocket of "his people". Peeved!

Worse? I can now hear DH snoring from upstairs and I'm still downstairs!

SleepyCaz · 01/08/2010 08:09

OMG. I am dying a slow death. Faaaaaaaaaar too much wine.

Seems I was sick in the car, ditto my dress, also my cardigan. Broke lovely necklace too. Shit.

DH in bed snoring his bloody head off too.

gormers · 01/08/2010 13:11

Sleepy - sympathies sent your way, I feel your pain! Good night though?!!

Spent yesterday feeling nauseous all day with a variety of abdo pains - of course my 2WW brain jumped where it shouldn't to explaining it all. Came downstairs this morning to make tea, saw the milk was 3 days out of date - the milk that DH had ben feeding me yesterday in various guises! Guess that explains the day long nausea then!!

Hope all the hangovers disperse and allow you to get on with some JS!

SleepyCaz · 01/08/2010 18:39

Gormers, Fab night! Lots of free drink at very fancy wedding. Paid for it all day, but thank God it is now bedtime and the sofa is all mine!!

Yikes about the milk! You never know though....

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 01/08/2010 19:58

Haha Sleepy, yesterday you couldn't be arsed going to this wedding nor were you going to drink and now you have a hang over. The unexpected drunken nights are always the best.

It's August now, so I'm allowed back on the drink. Feeling a bit sick though so will refrain for the now.

Happy about feeling sick though, as it's nausea sick and not the kidney infection sick. Still no AF either, so I'm thinking I'm visiting my nearest boots tomorrow morning for a wee stick or two

How has everyone elses weekend been?

JustKeepSwimming · 01/08/2010 20:21

NMCB - sounds possible!!

No news here, not even a hint of a symptom, boo.

So enjoying some lovely white wine we taste tested in Majestic

CD26, 7 days til AF.....may try wasting a test tomorrow, or not depends if i get organised/cba.

BrassicaBabe · 02/08/2010 11:05

CD 27 of a 28 or 29 day cycle for me.

PMT like mood from hell should hit anytime now or tomorrow.

No symptoms for AF or PG.

Got hideous nausea, but that's down to the port scratchings we ate in our Monday morning meeting
