The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Hey vallinna yanbu to be at your DH. You've waited over 100 days for this chance! Sounds like you might have to have a turkey baster baby .

On the subject of the sperm donors we all live with, mine is now pissing me off because I'm leaving my job for a new one in September and my old boss has invited us round for champagne and dessert next Friday, along with two other colleagues who are leaving and their partners. We have all been good friends and are leaving to go to new jobs in different parts of the country. But this is the first day of the football season and DH's team are on TV that evening, so I have to go on my own. He wants me to bring him back some dessert. That day he'd better just shag me and keep quiet or he's going to be in big trouble!! [starting to wonder if there is a business to be had in refrigeratable pouches for collecting the necessary and using when in a mood with DHs up and down the land].

Day 29, 99% sure I haven't ovulated yet. Fed up and grumpy!

vallinnapod · 28/07/2010 14:03

sleepycaz the very fact you have injured yourself for the cause (I am assuming) propels you to the top of the JS league!

SleepyCaz · 28/07/2010 14:14

NoMore - Thanks, pouring self a vodka and tonic. Carefully avoiding baby batter tubs!

Vallinna - If only it were for the cause.... Get this:

baby2b · 28/07/2010 14:20

Hey ladies, got very heavy AF this morning, so only had four days of knowing I was pregnant. Do I count today as CD1? Should I wait for a bit before trying again? Is it too early to have a glass of wine? Any advice would be appreciated. x

SleepyCaz · 28/07/2010 14:23

PS I don't understand the acronyms

What is JS? And CD?

SleepyCaz · 28/07/2010 14:23

baby2b - Sorry to hear that. It's never to early for a glass of wine!

baby2b · 28/07/2010 14:24

Omg sleepycaz, think you should make that vodka a double. Hope you heal quickly and can get back to JSing soon.

baby2b · 28/07/2010 14:26

JS is just shagging and CD is cycle day. This thread doesn't have too many acronyms, so don't worry

SleepyCaz · 28/07/2010 14:35

Thanks baby2b. Healing WAS going well. Until I got impatient on Sunday night and demanded that we 'give it a go', cos it hadn't been quite as sore for a day. Unforch, halfway through, I realised it was bloody agony and had to stop. Poor old DH. (Although I did finish the job for him

Ooops, just remembered that am on antibios form the accident! spits voddy back out

Thanks for the acro's. Am a bit thick at this.
Guess I'm a JS, although a delayed one ATM!

vallinnapod · 28/07/2010 15:19

b2b I'm sorry , you can't really be anything other than upset. As you say, cold comfort but at least it was only 4 days - not that it makes it any better. Never to early for wine

SleepyCaz my eyes are still watering....sod the antibiotics, drink! Or maybe bathe in the vodka!

baby2b · 28/07/2010 15:51

Thanks vallinnapod, I'm just trying to put it into perspective that it at least seems possible that I can get pregnant in the near future. Hope that makes sense?!

Think DH is quietly relieved that his swimmers work, so hopefully he won't feel as pressured now!

Anyway, looks like I am settled in this thread a little longer.

BrassicaBabe · 28/07/2010 17:00

PMSL at you lot and your fridge deposits

Welcome back MsChutneyand milano

Welcome along SleepyCaz for your lady bits injury sounds truely horrible! But ouch and double ouch at JSing with stitches!! You are certainly devoted to the cause!

So sorry baby2b that's sad news. If you have a glass of wine, I'll have one too and then you aren't drinking alone

Well I'm CD22. Today the bread in the bag smells and tastes a bit fusty even though it looks okay. So I've either got super taste/smell pg senses or actaully the bread is off!!

takethatlady · 28/07/2010 17:54

sleepycaz and baby2b I'm sorry for the horrible times you're both having. If it's any consolation, I reckon antibiotics and wine are a pretty decent combination for a fun night, so drink on I say!

Have you checked the date on that bread brassicababe? That's a novel way of detecting early pregnancy! Sounds hopeful though!

JustKeepSwimming · 28/07/2010 18:18

Lol Brassica

Sleepcaz - and OWWWW! Hope it all heals up soon - though i am pleased to have found a new word from your other thread (minjury )

B2B - gutted for you, but def a good sign about being able to get pg.

Glad you're all drinking already & relaaaax

CD22 here, at least 10 days before i can start wasting tests thinking about testing

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 28/07/2010 18:25

Oh Baby2b that's terrible news. Enjoy your wine, and vodka, then, have some more. (won't hug you though as I have a tummy bug which you don't want)

And SleepyCaz ohh OWWW! I had to stop reading your post because I felt a bit sick (blame said tummy bug) reading it. You poor poor thing. I've had a mild injury in that area, but nothing like that. Have another vodka (it's virtual and therefore doesn't interfer with RL antibiotics).

Brassica if the bread is going green, it's off!

Please someone tell me to be sensible, a dodgey stomach isn't a sign of pg is it. It's a sign I should have cooked my eggs better. Right right?

BrassicaBabe · 28/07/2010 18:42

You can put your dodgey eggs on my green bread if you fancy NMCB!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 28/07/2010 19:00

Am quite sure DH will be thrilled when I serve that combo up for dinner . I'd better be careful what 'sauce' bottle I grab out of the fridge.

Reading that back, it seems no wonder I have a dodgey gut.

Dinner at mine anyone?

SleepyCaz · 28/07/2010 22:33

Haha nomore. Might pass on the invite!

Talking of bread, I found an earwig in my bread yesterday. It was only a day old! (The bread, not the insect). I thought it was a cockroach though, and screeched the bloody house down. Cue both DC's wandering over to the kitchen gate and staring at me like I was a nutter!

SleepyCaz · 29/07/2010 09:04

Morning all.

Still in pajamas over here (slattern).

Soooooo fed up with having enforced 'ban' on JS!

It is v cose do OD and am still all sore

Bugger it.

SleepyCaz · 29/07/2010 09:05

OR, ''it is v CLOSE TO OD....''

Haven't got my hat on straight today, I don't think.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 29/07/2010 09:52

No worries Sleepy Only just out of bed here and def still in pj's. Ended up awake half the night running to the loo. Gah, Stupid body.
Hope your lady bits are feeling better today.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 29/07/2010 10:12

Screw this. DH is still in bed, and he's not sick. I feel like some one is manhandling my intestines and I'm watching DS. I'm off to sort this out.

Have a good day all. Looking forward to having a laugh when I wander back in, much much later.

BrassicaBabe · 29/07/2010 10:48

Hmm NMCB that sounds the wrong way around!

Not sure I can manage "funny" today. In the middle of the angst ridden 2WW. I'm more likely to sound like "sad old dirty-dressing-gown-childless-cat-woman" than engaging and funny

Voice from the sky come in "CD23 in the bigbrother Brassica House and she's not moved for 3 whole days"

Hope the ladybits are healing Sleepy

Oh and the bread was def off. So no super pg power sense of smell for me!

BrassicaBabe · 30/07/2010 10:13

blime girls we slipped to the second page there!

Where is everyone? Of JSing?!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 30/07/2010 11:17

Unfortunately JS means Just Sleeping in my house the the minute

Seem to be on the mend, apart from pains in the side, and wondering if I have a UTI or Kidney infection. Will go to DR if no improvement as I want to get back on the JSing wagon and I'd like a final go before AF arrives in the next couple of days (had a BFN this morning, which I wasn't surprised by tbh)

Have a good day all.
