Morning ladies. It is Monday already down under. You are probably still asleep.

Jolly I am thinking of you today. I hope all goes well and you are reassured. How many weeks now?

Hippy, you are funny! I am sure you'll have another baby, esp. as you are the sex goddess of the over forties.

Now that SWI is over, and I've had an enormous temp jump (feeling very pleased about that), I'm not feeling very motivated for SWOI. However in the light of the new information about seminal fluid being good for implantation, I shall just have to get on with it...

Beatie, what's Italy like? Are you having fun? Where abouts in Italy are you? I would love to travel in Europe, but it is such a long way from here. I went when I was a girl, but haven't got back yet. I figure that when the kids are grown I'll have retired from work, so then we can travel a bit.

Any way, DD2 can't find the brown sugar for her porridge, must dash...

JemimaPuddleduck07 · 16/08/2010 00:23

It's so good to hear most of you find SWOI a bit of a chore. I'm ok up until I get the temp shift and then I kind of lose the will to be bothered!

Poor DP got made redundant on Friday and now he's talking about taking a contract in Saudi for three months which would make TTC a bit tricky. Maybe I can freeze some of his soldiers and defrost them at the right time each month!

Good luck to Jolly tomorrow x

SassySusan · 16/08/2010 10:10

Just popped by to {{{Jolly}}}

Good luck today xx

hippychick66 · 16/08/2010 12:20

jolly I have no idea what time your scan is but please please pop in soon and put me out of this misery.

saw lovely GP about legs today. She said it could either be a nerve thing, i did have a nerve problem before but the tablets I took for that cannot be taken during TTC - so would just have to out up with it. OR it could be that I am ameamic (cos of the MC's).

She has sent me for various blood tests, including thyroid, B12, full blood count etc etc. She said the fact that I have restless legs at night points towards aneamic. So we'll see. It doesn't look like I'm dying though, so that's good Grin

alba thinking of you and your 20 week scan today - lucky old you (not old as in aged but old as in a friendly term!) Hope that little boy is just perfect and you have all good news for us.

GG How are you today???

Day 3 for me - so nearly time to SWI - gotta love these early ovulations!!!!

gum did you have to tell us about sperm helping the embryo to implant????? Now i feel duty bound to SWI all the time Shock. Lucky I love sex so much isn't it Wink.

randomimposter · 16/08/2010 13:19

hippy glad you're not dying you sex fiend you... top news!

Scan not til 3.30 then have to collect DS from nursery so won't be home til after 6 I'd have thought. Thanks everyone for your lovely wishes, am surprisingly calm and resigned to it all.

Diege · 16/08/2010 14:01

Hello! Just a quickie from work to wish Jollster the best of luck and to say hi.
Day 6 here, so also having to think about starting to be nice to dh...I am quite liking this temping thing, though remembering to take temp is already proving quite challenging.
Interesting beattie about what you say about your LP and supplements. I think I'll give it another month and see if things normalise a little; I was quite liking my short cycle! May well end up as test buddies Hippy if my ov is later again this month!
Right, off to a course Just me on it though so no snoozing at the back...
Oh and Sassy, yes, I'm sure my HOD will be over the moon with any maternity announcements. Having said that though, I had my first 3 in my 'old' uni, so 'new' uni' have only had to put up with the one leave so far!

SassySusan · 16/08/2010 14:31

Hippy I think you're misinterpreting gum's post. To my mind, it read that implantation chances are improved if the sperm is carried in seminal fluid - i.e. the sperm is ejaculated into by DH, rather than fertilisation in a lab. I don't think it means you have to keep shagging after fertilisation. At least, I hope it doesnt' mean that!

Diege No doubt they thought you'd got children out of your system before you arrived... When you get to 5 though, they may well lose all hope that you'll ever stop. 5 children must be a lot of hard work!

Jemima the only thing worse that SWI is not being able to SWI - looks like you need montly conjugal visits to Saudi! Grin

galwaygal · 16/08/2010 16:17

Jollster - logged on to see how things went for you. hope it went ok.

I am on cd2 and happy about it. Diet starts today. I am enthusiastic and keen to lose some excess baggage I am carrying around, and thinking positively. I just hope I keep motivated with the dieting this month.

randomimposter · 16/08/2010 17:17

Hi all, thanks for all your thoughts.

Sadly another MMC, baby measured 10+1. Have had a few tears of course, but am ok, as was not really a shock as suspected it really.

Have already been to the pub for a pint... Blush.... now off to collect DS (after a breath fresh mint!).

back later x

SassySusan · 16/08/2010 17:25

Oh Jollster I am so very, very sorry xx

Be gentle with yourself - it's one thing to suspect, it's another to know. So sad for you.

hippychick66 · 16/08/2010 18:25

Sad jolly - I don't know what to say my love. You deserved this so much. I am so disappointed for you. I'm guessing you'll got for a natural MC rather than an EPRC cos that seemed to go better for you before. Have you talked about that with the hosp yet. Damn Damn Damn. I wish I knew how to fix this for you. I feel sick. All your MMCs seem to stop about the same time - lets hope they can give you some tests and some answers.

hippychick66 · 16/08/2010 18:37

Sorry I meant you deserved this TO GO RIGHT so much. Not that you deserved another MMC so much. It sounded right when I typed it. I hope you knew what I meant.

randomimposter · 16/08/2010 18:40

hippy you big fart, I knew exactly what you meant. Am touched by your concern. Thanks too Sassy....

Biggest issue is contemplating that bloody SWI again....WinkGrinAngry

hippychick66 · 16/08/2010 19:02

I was making dinner and I suddenly thought, 'OMG did I say she deserved it?' Blush rushed back to laptop, re-read my post, kicked myself hard!!!

jolly you are such a trooper. Don't worry about the SWI, just get through the next few days. I know it's a horrid thought, but can you get some tests done on this pregnancy to find out if it is a chromosome problem etc?

Big Fart signing off to finish making dinner.

thefatladyscreams · 16/08/2010 19:18

Oh Jollster - words fail me. I'm so sorry my sweetie. It is just so horribly unfair - as you're only too painfully aware. Does seem especially cruel that you get to the similar stage each time - probably too early days but can your GP shed any light on that?

Loads of hugs (and a huge bottle of virtual Sauvingnon Blanc) to you xxx

jollster have just been reading last couple days since being without broadband for a week. I am so so sorry to read your news. :(

Echoing what someone else said, tis one thing to suspect, quite another to be proved right. Take care of yourself. xx

hippychick66 · 16/08/2010 21:26

jolly Angry Angry Angry - you're just too nice to get angry - so I am getting FUCKING angry on your behalf.

lia how's it going with your pregnancy, Mrs? How was the twin delivery?

GG I'm on CD 3. We both have short cycles, so we could end up in a shag-fest together. Except you can pretty much shag any time of the month. Thinking of you too.

loony how funny that you were called 'Hippy' -were you a bit of a dippy Hippy in those days??

liahgen66 · 16/08/2010 21:55

no twins yet!!!!! Shock 40+4 and going in for induction in morning. Am very excited but hoping it doesn't go on too long at ms (whoever called it Morning was having a fucking laugh right? ) gets worse as day progresses and i'm normally flat out unable to speak by 9pm.

I know it's good so a really really trying not to moan but god its debilitating.

Had scan last week at 8 wks and nice little baby shape in there with good heartbeat so am more hopeful, (won't get complacent as We all know how easily it can all go wrong sadly):(

Also got 5 cysts on rght side that weren't there earlier in June and apparantly this is good as they help to sustain a pregnancy, never heard that before but it's good so am listening.

Been out of the loop for a while and feel a bit behind s can't really namecheck but hi to anyone who knows me. :)

gumblossom · 17/08/2010 00:40

Jolly, I am really sorry to hear your news.It is awful. Will you get some tests done to see if there's a reason?

Lia, glad to hear things are going well.I imagine doing a delivery would be incredibly difficult with ms.

I used to have it all day long, and worse around dinner time. God - it was awful, but I'd just love to have it again! Last time I went to acupuncture regularly which really did help take the edge off compared to the previous pregnancies.

I'm 4dpo today (not that I'm counting or anything). Had a tiny little sudden craving yesterday for a tomato sandwich. When I did, I thought, "Mm, I remember that happening in past pregnancies". Of course I will drive myself completely mad by the time 12 dpo comes around. I really should find another hobby!

Sassy I think I interpreted that info the same way as Hippy. One of the comments made (on the forum where I got it from) was that seminal fluid after O was an indication that the male was still around so it was safe to implant. It's just a theory though.

Rowing - are you there? Come and say hello?

SassySusan · 17/08/2010 08:36

Oh, ok - that's depressing... 2 solid weeks of shagging... when we spoke to the consultant the other week - he went "There is no way to definitely say you have ov-ed other than a scan and a blood test, so you should be at it like rabbits all the time"

Ok, I'm paraphrasing... but you get the gist Confused

SassySusan · 17/08/2010 08:41

How are you feeling today jollster?

randomimposter · 17/08/2010 08:50

Morning Sassy, am ok thanks. DS at nursery today (his usual day, yesterday an extra). So about to tuck into some breakfast and copious mugs of tea (cos I canGrin)... have to go to new rented house later, do some measuring and work out which bits of furniture WILL fit in, then to EPU for the next steps discussion.... then home for more packing up - moving day next Thurs!!!

Thanks for all your lovely messages; it really helps. Hardly anyone in RL knows so it's really supportive to get (virtual) hugs and squeezes.
