We're getting serious this time BESHies. Welcome to the Palace, where the emphasis is on sophistication. Cast your eyes over the plush carpet, admire the oh-so-carefully worn leather armchairs with sidetables and little green lamps. We have the Bonds of the ages as barstaff, waiting to serve martinis and the finest champagne.

To your left you'll see the Pit, which hopefully we won't be needing much. To your right the Cave of Gloom, and straight ahead we have our special space for the 2WOOFL. You'll find beanbags and gym balls there, the walls have been specially painted to allow you to write your symptoms up and wipe them off if they disappear. It's all the rage for Blue Sky thinking these days. And there are donuts and coffee to keep you going as you try to shift that paradigm.

Hi all.

I have had some spotting this morning. No cramps as yet. it may settle, I guess.

Muser · 03/07/2010 10:48

What colour spotting salty? I know you must be freaking out, but don't. I've read that spotting around the 6 week mark can just be a sign that everything is bedding in and stretching and so on. Fingers crossed for you.

OP posts:
saltyair · 03/07/2010 10:50

Spotting was pink, but is now brown.

I'm trying to not get too far ahead of myself, but I can't help but feel that this might be it.

Muser · 03/07/2010 11:22

Pink/brown is better than red. Brown is old blood, it could just be old blood appearing as things shift around.

If there's an EPU near you I'd recommend going in and seeing them, just for reassurance. You can have blood tests to check how your HCG is doing, maybe a scan too. Fingers and toes crossed for you salty.

OP posts:
saltyair · 03/07/2010 11:31

Thank you muser. I think I'll see how it goes for a couple of hours and then perhaps go to EPU.

Tbh, if it's on its way out, there's nothing they can do except tell me to take parecetemol if it starts hurting. But as you said, they can test me.

Ariesgirl · 03/07/2010 11:55

Fingers, toes and limbs crossed for you Salty my love. Like Muse said, go and get checked out if you start really worrying.

Hope HB gets into her holiday let - can you imagine her banging on the door with two fists howling "LET ME IIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNN!"

Guess how much sleep I had last night? Guess, guess. Two hours! Am completely fucked. And not in a good, literal way.

RunLyraRun · 03/07/2010 12:25

Just popping in to say I've got everythng crossed for you, Salty. Come back later to update us - we'll be here.

Why 2 hours, Ries? That's what I had the night before, but 9 last night made up for it. Is MrA back?

Scorpette · 03/07/2010 13:25

Oh Salty, am sure it's just 'one of those things', but that doesn't stop it being nerve-wracking. Good idea to pop to the EPU if you're still worried in a little while, and like Lyra says, we're here for you.

Ariesgirl · 03/07/2010 13:45

Yes he's back Lyra, just many hours later than expected. And then there were some added complications. And then the cat woke me at 5am. And then 6am. And then my sister thought 6.30am was a suitable time to send me a text, and my phone was by the bed doubling as an alarm clock. MrA snored throughout, though I guess I can't blame him for being a more than a little tired .

ginhag · 03/07/2010 16:03

salty hope you're alright....

I've had bad stuff today too. Not pink spotting though, red blood. Fuck. Seems to have stopped (ish) before it got too mental, but I am pretty fucking worried. And I can't get seen by an epu over the weekend. Balls. No pain at all though, and just one splurge...so far.

I am dealing with this in the only way I know. Having a pint in the sun and trying not to think about it.

I would appreciate any good thoughts and shiz that anyone has going spare, but not tales of people who bled and were fine...I heard 'em all last time see.

PollyPoo · 03/07/2010 16:29

Oh GinLove I am sorry about the redness. I am sending you all the BESH good vibes, hugs and love I can muster (which is quite a lot). You should be feeling it right about....... NOW. I like the plan of a pint in the sun, I would partake myself if I didn't have to go to work in a mo. Will be thinking of you lovely lady and keeping everything crossed. xxxxx

RunLyraRun · 03/07/2010 16:32

Ginny, I have love and handholding and squeezes and positive energy to spare, and it is all for you.

I've got everything crossed to the point that I've tied myself into big knot - just one finger free for typing.

And I'm concentrating so hard on sending positive vibes in your direction that I've given myself a headache (really).

I have picked my pressie up from the PO and it made my cry a bit. Thank you very very much. Am wearing it now xxx

Muser · 03/07/2010 17:04

Nothing is allowed to go wrong. Nothing. I forbid it. You deserve this so much.

OP posts:
saltyair · 03/07/2010 17:06

Gin that sounds like an excellent way to deal with the menkul. I really hope it was just a sensitive cervix splurge (which, if you believe Google, is very common - same thing that makes your gums bleed when you is Dffed allegedly)

Am adding my positive vibrations to the others.

I am going to ignore the menkul and make curry. So there.

Incidentally - what is it with EPUs? Is one not allowed any sort of crisis over the weekend? I also cannot see anyone until Monday. Rubbish.

RunLyraRun · 03/07/2010 17:11

Curry sounds like a good plan Salty. Unfortunately it's not just EPUS - hospitals at the weekend are like hospitals in the middle of the night - no doctors around and no way to get anything DONE. Drives me crackers. I've still got everything crossed for you.

Scorpette · 03/07/2010 17:15

Well, everyone knows it's medically impossible for anyone to be ill at a weekend

Gin, no words, just love, hope and hugs. Am copying Lyra's everything-crossed contortions for you. Always here for you, my Luvver xxxx

saltyair · 03/07/2010 18:26

Thank you for being so lovely. After much gusset rummaging things seem to be decreasing, which I think is good, although Dr Google (the only one working at T'weekend) seems to think that this:
A) is completely normal and nothing at all to worry about
B) is potentially life threatening and I should call an ambulance
C) it isn't life threatening, but it is dff threatening.

Helpful muchos.

still sending those vibes Ginsling

iggypiggy · 03/07/2010 21:02

Sorry to hear of the blood for gin and salty - am sending muchos positive thoughts for everything. The really annoying thing is that blood can mean something or nothing, and there is nothing to do but wait, which is not fucking helpful, is it?!

Anyway, liking the pint idea, have all limbs crossed as far as they can be.

TwinkleToes76 · 03/07/2010 21:40

Thinking of you Gin and Salty - tis a horrid place to be in. I hope you both get reassurance scans soon.

RunLyraRun · 03/07/2010 22:00

Still thinking of you Gin and Salty - hope you both get a good night's sleep.

cheggers · 03/07/2010 22:34

More good vibes for gin and salty hope all will be well x

Scorpette · 04/07/2010 00:04

Have been worrying about my gals all day. Big loves and I hope tomorrow brings an end to all troubles xx

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 04/07/2010 08:07

Me too, thinking of you gin and salty.

PollyPoo · 04/07/2010 08:46

Morning hags. Just checkin in to see how Gin and Salty are doing? Hope bleeding stopped and sending you BESH sticky vibes. Xx

saltyair · 04/07/2010 09:15

Morning my luvvers.

Thank you so much for all the positivity.
whispers gusset seems to be clean and clear and under control this morning, although I don't want to jinx anything.

ginsterspasty I hope you're doing ok today
