Morning all, a quick sneaky post from me as I am work and should be getting on with, you know, work stuff!

Just wanted to agree wholeheartedly with everyone that there is not a jot of towards Halo. I honestly couldn?t be more thrilled for you! RL people are a whole different ball game though! Not you of course my lovely pinklady

Zippys I?m getting a (whispers) Kia Rio, if all goes to plan. Not the swankiest car in the world I know, but this is for the girl who previously owned an MG Metro (G-Reg) and currently owns a Hyundai Accent (P-Reg) ? I?m moving up in the world ladies! Seriously though, it is a very good deal, the car is a 58 plate, but wasn?t registered till December 2008 so it is not even 2 years old yet and I?m getting it for under 5k.
My current car passed its MOT a few weeks ago, by the skin of its teeth, so I need to get a new car before next year. Add to that the fact that the tax runs out in a few months, I?d rather not have to fork out for another 6 months of tax only to get rid of it a short while later.

So much for the short post! I?ll pop back later for a proper catch up!

Kaloki · 26/07/2010 11:23

womanlytales Funny isn't it? I've never felt jealous of anyone from the frolickers getting pregnant, but if anyone else says they are then the green eyed monster comes out to play. Even just on other parts of MN.

I really hope that we can all stay in contact once we all have kids and through their growing up, even though I've never met any of you, you all mean a lot to me. Even the new frolickers who I haven't talked to yet.

SaorAlba · 26/07/2010 13:44

I'm still lurking. Trying not to obsess too much.

Trying to keep sane so have dug this out of a First Response Fairy thread. Likelihood of an accurate pg test result:

10dpo=35%
11dpo=51%
12dpo=62%
13dpo=68%
14dpo=74%
15dpo=80%
16dpo=88%
17dpo=92%

Must not test until Friday.

highheelsandequations · 26/07/2010 15:54

Taking a break from packing (the bit of holidays I really hate) so thought I'd see what's going on here.

zippys will keep you informed of anything I try. I know what you mean about trying to relax and obsess, it's bloody difficult. I also know what you mean about not getting your hopes up, testing and getting a BFN is so depressing, but it's hard isn't it. Try to keep positive. Can't answer your scan question I'm afraid, the nurses I've seen for scans have been a little vague about exact timings, suppose they don't want to guarantee anything.

LankyLegs the overindulgence last night definitely improved my outlook on things! Was sure clomid was going to be a wonder drug so was very dissapointed when we didn't conceive on the first cycle but know there is still hope so I am trying not to lose faith. It's this book that I was talking about, think the vegan one has the same name. I believe it's mainly aimed at women who are having fertility problems due to lack of ovulation but it also says it could help others. Think I will get it when I'm back from holiday, just don't want DP to think I'm getting too loopy. One day I might be brave and try a Brazilian, strange that I've had my legs open for what feels like half the medical profession yet I'm embarrassed about the beautician seeing it . Sounds like you had a fab weekend. I'm forever telling people far too much after a few cocktails. Not quite sure how I've managed to keep all the ttc business from my best mate for so long, must not have been drunk enough yet.

Tomboywife I try not to mention ovulation to my DP but it's difficult, especially when it's one of those occassions when the time is right but you're really not in the mood. Think your new approach sounds like a good plan.

kkas completely agree with your FB fury. have you seen the "post this if you're a mum who's swapped their eyeliner for eyebags ..." status? A few of my 'friends' have used that one recently. maybe we should start a "post this if you've swapped your sexy undies for pee sticks and would love to be a mum but it's just not happening" status. (Sorry if that sounded a little bitter)

kaloki hope the antibiotics work their magic for you soon.

womanly this is my 3rd cycle of clomid. Was so sure it was going to work quicky for us but still trying to keep my hopes up. I've this cycle and have also heard of successes the cycle after finishing clomid so fingers crossed.

SoarAlba it's only a few days till Friday, hide your sticks till then!

Hello everyone else, hope your Monday's are not too awful. Those of you with ERTD are free to join me for pink fizz, ben & jerrys, green & blacks and some trashy tv this evening. Hoping those of you mid cycle are enjoying lots of SWI and fingers crossed for those on the 2ww.

This was going to be a quick post and have sat here for ages now! Better get back to the packing as today this house is holiday prep central. I have my many lists and schedules and all is going mostly to plan.

gardenpixie · 26/07/2010 16:45

Highheels I've heard the cycle after clomid is meant to be a good one too. Fingers crossed you won't get to find out because you'll have had a BFP by then! I think I am about to go on it if I get a BFN this cycle (just had to have a hycosy test to make sure the old tubes were open so it would be worth going on clomid - all fine thankfully but a bit ow)! Good luck with the packing!

SoarAlba be strong, be strong! Friday's not that far away ... athough I know it actually is if you're waiting to poas ... keeping my fingers crossed for you!

kkas sorry to hear about the SWI-ing not going so well. DH and I are still not on speaking terms following weekend argument so I'm trying to work out whether it is wrong to shag someone I'm not talking to just for the sake of TTCing. I'm verging on thinking it's OK but maybe I'm just a bad person ...?

Hello to everyone else too hope you are all well

raspberrytipple · 26/07/2010 19:11

Hello all back at you, I feel properly inducted now with all these hellos

Lanky - I think I may get addicted to pregnology, just had a quick look and apparently today is my best day to baby dance..... busy night for me ahead although I had already convinced myself I am pregnant hence my post on another thread....

Felicity - thanks for the info on angus castus - I did actually think it was a cactus plant, didn't fancy using a cactus plant for anything conception based purposes ...... ouch

Tomboy - i can relate to the way you addressing OH, mine still thinks its funny at the moment but I don't know how long he will put up being used as an object at certain times of the month!

Anyways, hello officially to everyone else, I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with you xx

kkas · 26/07/2010 20:14

highheels love the idea of that status. that might shut them up!

garden being on speaking terms is def not necessary!

raspberry cactuses and TTC = ouch!

zippys · 27/07/2010 06:28

CaveMum · 27/07/2010 06:51

womanlytales · 27/07/2010 07:54

Sorry Zipps (((hugs)))
Lanky The pregnology site is fabulous -
highheels Best of luck to you - I do hope the cycle proves lucky for you and DH.

Thanks for the drink Cavemum can you ake it a large gin please . Getting a new car is so exciting, it also sounds like a great deal.

Mumsnerves as you can see the freebie test didnt work its magic for me

TomboyWife I am v impressed with your SWI every other day.

LankLegs can I have some more of your bubbles to drown my sorrows please. I have also told by best friend we are TTC as I know she will understand (took 18months to get BFP with her little boy).

Kkas I promised I wont tell your DH, we have test drive this weekend, quite excited. Cant believe your 'friends' FB do people not actually engage a brain sometimes

Kaloki your post made me cry I also feel so close to everyone here and I dont know how I could have got through the last year without you guys. How you feeling chick? Have the antibiotics kicked in? How are the wedding plans, its getting close now.

Womanly ooh my next appointment to get my test results is 18th August, although I do think it may be worth trying to move it forward. I agree unknowing is so horrible.

Highheels hope you have an amazing holiday and managed to finish your packing.

Soaralba as you can see I couldnt resist the temptation to POAS but I hope you are being stronger than me and when you do POAS you get a better outcome!

Well I have had a little cry with DP this morning but feel better than I did last month so at least thats something. It was quite funny last night though, I told DP that I was late but said I didnt think I was pregnant to which he reponded, ooh thats it positive thinking (he always thinks I see the negative when it comes to health and TTC) so I blurted out - I am trying to not get my hopes up, I have already worked out when I would I due and when I could tell people after the first scan I think I shocked/ scared him a little!

I have very much left all the science with TTC to me, he doesnt always know when I am due ERTD and doesnt have clue when I OV (infact I dont think he realises that you have time sex and cant fall pregnant just any time in the cycle). I think I have done this as it very much me who has pushed TTC, he obviously is in full agreement but I am older and as I have said before have been broody since I was about 17!

Sorry I am rabbiting on about crap, off to drink my gin now .

MrsWajs · 27/07/2010 08:10

Gin at 8am zippys - you have my utmost respect!!x

MrsWajs · 27/07/2010 08:14

And also my hugs cus I failed to notice your earlier post! So sorry hun. Am not gonna regale you with the usual crap i.e. it's not over til it's over, blah blah blah cus I know how shit it is. Have an extra gin from me.x

Ariesgirl · 27/07/2010 08:22

Sorry to hear that Our Zippys. I'm totally with you on the idiocy of DH/Ps. They really can be daft and then they look very shocked and surprised that you're upset when ERTD turns up. I said last night I'm premenstrual (yes, I'm afraid so) and he just chuckled and said never mind .

You enjoy your breakfast gin.

OP posts:
MrsWajs · 27/07/2010 08:29

Never mind?!?!?!

Aries Have you broken both his legs??

I have to admit I am lucky with DP as he doles out the appropriate commiserations/sympathies when ERTD turns up or I'm having a freak out about temp drops etc etc but I still genuinely don't think they 'get it'.

CaveMum · 27/07/2010 08:34

Aries, if they weren't so necessary to the TTC cause, I'd be tempted to put his knackers in a vice!

Never mind?! Has he no brain?!

LankyLegs · 27/07/2010 08:47

Zips my dear girl - am really f*cking sorry. And sorry for swearing am genuinely annoyed for you esp being so late and everyfink.

Ugggh - you are doing the right thing having gin at 8am - am joing you.... salute.

Aries - I think I would tie MrL's nads in a knot if he responded in such a way. You tell him wot's wot girl.

zippys · 27/07/2010 09:18

You know you lot are the only peeps who could make me smile so much after having such a shit start to the morning with talk of gin, nads in knots and knackers in vices

Aries I agree with breaking of legs - he doesnt need them to shag! (would normally say PMT could be BFP symtoms but I dont think you want to hear that) so have a gin with me.

In fact lets all drink gin all day and get totally pissed

highheelsandequations · 27/07/2010 09:37

Just came on to catch up before leave for holidays. So sorry zippys but I will happily join you in a day of gin drinking, as long as you'll help me stand back up when I fall over and don't mind the drunken slurrings later. Give me enough gin and I'll probably tell you all how much I loves you

felicityFlick · 27/07/2010 09:49

Just downed my first gin of the day with you all - here's to many more xxx

gardenpixie · 27/07/2010 12:31

Oh zippy so sorry to hear about bfn; I will def join in with the gin drinking though - excellent way to get through a Tuesday!
I seem to have joined in a little late though so I'll just have to play catch up...

Kaloki · 27/07/2010 13:55

zippys Sorry about the BFN

I'm ok, still cramping, tried having sex yesterday and got really awful cramps afterwards, how irritating

Waiting for my weeding boots to arrive so I can finish the mock up dress and get started on the actual dress. And we ordered DP's outift as well

TigerseyeMum · 27/07/2010 14:32

Sorry to barge in but I am new here waves and am about to have my first 'try'.

Got me folic acid, got me calendar, have given up alcohol and chocolate (cries), GP was no help whatsoever, so you never know.

Am thinking of buying some preseed off ebay. Dunno.

Oh my life is one long merrigoround of pretending I am not thinking about being pregnant

Kaloki · 27/07/2010 14:54

You've given up chocolate?! You're braver than me, TTC is stressful enough without removing my chocolate supply!

Welcome though

TigerseyeMum · 27/07/2010 15:33

Kaloki thanks Yep, choco-free so far (week 3 and counting), as apparently it can alter your hormones and as I have endo I am trying to get my hormones 'normal' (well, ish) so no choccie, no alcohol, supposed to be low sugar but that's not going quite so well!

I am also getting my 5 a day....fruit and veg that is
