Is it just me or does Niknik's post look funny?
Can you re-post Niknik?

Sorry Jemma

Posted instead of previewing, I was hoping no one would notice.

I'm sorry about your dissapointment, but it sounds as if this weekend has given you the chance to reflect and be more relaxed about ttc.

I'm trying to be really mellow about it all this month, pretending to myself that I'm not bothered either way and if it happens it happens. But at the moment I am only on day 21, if know that if no AF by day 27 though I know I will be on tenterhooks.

Any sign of AF yet?

Don't balme you niknik - i tell myself to not think about it and be more realistic but still when it gets close to day 28 i starting thinking and i bet i imagine symtons sometimes!
Donut!

No, on day 33 today but unless i have ovulated in last few days i'm sure it's not my turn this month!
Maybe next time hey - fingers crossed for you though!

Are your cycles usually reg?

Oh Jems, I posted on your other thread. Just wanted to say if you don't know when u r ov'g then it's harder to get pg. I know that is really obvious but it would be really handy for u to know when u are ov'g and build up a good picture of your cycles.

Jem

Are you normally as late as 33 days? Is it worth repeating?

My cycles vary between 21 or 28 days. I know I ovulated on Day 14/15 this month as I have the last 2 months, (things have got a bit more regular since m/c).

The problem is I have been coming on only about 10 days afterwards which is a bit too short and concerning me, but I will be seeing my fertility/infertility Doc in about 2 months, so we will see if he can suggest anything about it then.

Nik, I'm the same, short cycles, always have had. They are 24/25 days and I too have a P about 10 days after OV, not been a bother before but see what your man says at your appointment! Good you got that - did u ask for one??

Report
Jemma7 · 27/08/2003 09:10

No Nik, my cycles we always regular 28 days but since coming off the pill they have varied from 26 days to 38 days.

Not very helpful at all - Therefore i have 12 days every single month of wondering.

Jems, how many tests have you done? I didnt test po until nearly 5 weeks. Prior to that I'd done 4 neg tests.

Quacks yes I think in one way I feel better that we are being checked out but it is getting all the results back which is the nail biteing bit

Jems any sign of AF? Do you still feel sick? I agree with Bunny you may have tested too early

It is, but if there is something wrong, they can hopefully rectify it or offer a solution. Wish you and your DH lots of luck! He made me laugh when he said his sperm had a bad head and wouldn't swim!!!!

Good luck Niknik - make sure you keep us posted!
No sign of A/F - usually have achey tummy few days before, have had the odd ache here and there but nothing lasting - sometimes get achey boobs too but only really noticing that at the mo when i take my bra off!

Anyway, on day 34 today, only 4 more days to wait - if nothing by day 38 will test again.

Thought I'd add myself to the TTC hopefuls. I actually posted something on the original "Anyone trying to conceive..." thread, but won't depress myself to see exactly when that was. Until recently I've been leaving it to chance, but that has been spectacularly unsuccessful. It was DS's 2nd birthday yesterday and I realised how fast time flies. Anyway, I'm on day 28 of my first Persona cycle, so we'll see what happens.

Jemma7 · 28/08/2003 11:00

Oh good luck Azure - i am on day 35 of cycles - longest has been 38 but think i will come on today!
If i do i am starting Persona this month - how have you been getting on with it?

Report
Azure · 28/08/2003 13:11

I've found Persona very simple to use, although was getting a little tired of those sticks by the 16th one. At least it uses early morning pee rather than some of the OV sticks (which also require a 4 hour loo visit gap). As I mentioned in another thread, I was a little disappointed not to get an "O", but that's quite common initially. I've had my first green day since day 5 today - all the rest have been red. My cycles vary from 25 to 31 days, so there are a couple of days to go before I'll think of testing. I hate this wait for a/f.

Report
quackers · 28/08/2003 13:32

Hi Azure, welcome!! Hope Persona is successfulf or you! I got pg last time straight away using it. Don't worry about the o, it sometimes doesn't even appear after a few months let alone the first 3 as you say. Next month will be much easier, only 8 tests. I think I got down to 4 tests as I have short cyccles and would get LH by day 11.

Hope nobody minds if I add myself to the list of those ttc. I am on day two of my cycle and we are going to start trying for no 3 this month. I am trying to eat healtily and limit alcohol as I found this has helped in previous ttc.

My pregnancy history is mixed. I ttc ds1 for 12 months, and also have ds2 (14 months) but have had two early miscarriages (8/9 weeks and 4/5 weeks) and threatened miscarriage with ds2. So feeling anxious!

I love persona and used it with last 3 pregnancies. Didn't for no1 and convinced that is why we had to try for so long. As it turns out I ovulate around day 19/20 in a 32 day cycle. My ds used it as a boat last month but once dried out and kitted out with new batteries it seems to be working again.

Good luck to everybody trying this weekend and those of you waiting. It is such a stressful time and so good to have a safe outlet for frustrations!

went to Boots yesterday to look at persona (cos everyone here is raving about it!)only to find I can't just buy one, but have to order it from pharmacy counter. Is that just my Boots or are they all like that?
should I go look in a bigger branch or something?
the amount I have spent on OPKs over the last yr is justifying the expense.

Report
LucieB · 28/08/2003 14:48

At the Boots I went to, I got one straight away over the counter. They don't tend to keep them on display, probably because of the risk of them being nicked.
It is definitley worth the outlay.
Good luck

Hi Eyelash nice to see you here, good luck. I'm just lingering like a bad sme ll at the mo. I'm waiting 2 more cycles after m/c ( not that it helped after the last m/c I have to say, might have been better just going for it) and then I'll be ttc again!! Yeh! So for now just started on Persona again to check my ov. Defo works tho!!! Good luck to allxxx

Azure · 01/09/2003 08:18

Well, I may not have got my "O" on Persona, but I did manage to conceive. Tested positive yesterday!! It's been such a stressful month - I've been working 50 hour weeks and we've been trying to exchange on sale of flat/purchase of house for the last fortnight - that I thought there was no chance it would happen. Spent all day in a daze.
