Nice clean thread for us - may there be many a BFP on here

Hi ladies,

Digi - I say hang fire on the testing thing, but have also never been able to take my own advice

Magic and Hopefully - hope the 2WW flies by with positive results.

BarrenB - so hoping you don't need to go down the ERPC route. Fingers crossed the scan goes well.

WYG - my fingers are already crossed, so I'm crossing my toes that this is your month.

VivC - well done for coping with the weekend and damn annoying about the skirt. Thinking of you tomorrow.

Hairy - really hope they figure out what's going on. It sounds utter madness and must be terribly distressing. Big hug.

Hi to Jolls, Dorcas, Cheepz and the rest of you lovely, brave and inspirational ladies. In a fit of positive thinking I'm going to move myself on to the grad board. Thank you all for your support - having this thread has been a God send these last couple of months. Wishing sticky beans to all! RHG xxx

Oooh, ladies - lots of action today! Have no time during the day at work so there's always a lot to read in the eve.

Still no RTD and did wonder vaguely this morning if I felt slightly queasy on the train to work; however, I do wonder if I was just imagining it! Feeling quite washed out still, but nothing else. I am really trying hard to hold out at least till the weekend as I hate the disappointment of BFNs and it could just be a long cycle like before.

Red Glad to see you moving onto the Grads list. How have you been feeling?

Cheepz Rubbish about the 3 month notice thing, but it could end up going quite quickly.

Clare Long cycles are rubbish aren't they - a 3WW instead of 2WW is such a killer!

Barren Good luck for tomorrow. I sympathise re the pain of MC - I have a very high pain threshold, but remember getting to a point in the middle of the night when I had a very intense hour of contractions and then passed the largest piece of tissue when I nearly lost it. Well done you for getting through it at home. I'm glad that's what I did with just DH to look after me.

Digitalgirl Huge respect for twice a day SWI!!! And Hopefully hope all this SWI leads to lots of BFPs soon!

Jollster I like the idea of building ourselves up - it's like going into battle!

Magic Sorry to hear about your BFN and the lingering pox.

Hairy Keep being so strong.

Dorcas Hang in there and hold out for testing! We'll be strong together!

Posy Sorry to hear you still feel run down. I think this is quite common and I felt the same. I had a week off work, looked after myself and took iron tablets.

clareanna · 17/05/2010 20:45

Happy graduation rhg pop back and see us x

PosyPetrovaPauline · 17/05/2010 20:51

hairytriangle · 17/05/2010 21:23

Barenbrook just re-read through - so sorry about all this must be horrid for you, but I love your good humour - your choice of words has made me chortle (hope that doesn't sound too insensitive?!)

So, did acupuncture actually work to 'get rid'? No medication?

I am thinking of doing the same, once my scan is over next week, rather than take the dreaded pills. A close friend had an MMC last year and she said she really doesn't recommend the tablet as it's not a nice experience.

x

Ah well done RedHeadGal, I really hope all goes boringly smoothly for you.
And I also hope that we get some BFPs to join you on that grads list

I've just updated Monday's list to take myself off the WTTC section now that I've joined the TTC one. Weirdly it feels a bit odd not having the date of my MMC on it.

I'm feeling shattered. Am just so sad and have struggled to keep going this afternoon after receiving some sad news . Was at work today when an email from one of my old NCT group popped up. Do you remember the weekend after my ERPC I went to a friend's toddlers party and discovered that two of the group were pregnant, one quite far along at about 5 1/2 months?
Her baby died last week, she must have been just over 6 months pregnant. It's so distressing to imagine what she's going through - I know some of you ladies have been through it and I'm so sorry if this post is painful for you. It's such a shocking thing, even when you know that it happens, when it actually DOES, oh god, what they must be going through.
What on earth does a person say? or do? Oh Viv, I'm so sorry this is rubbish timing. I thought about not posting. But if anyone does have any suggestions about anything that might be helpful for them (they have one DS aged 2), please do pass them on.

batteryhen · 17/05/2010 21:32

Hello all,

I have been lurking around, and thought I might pop in and say hello. I am trying to get familiar with all the abbreviations, but think I might be ok now!

I had a mmc in feb for twins / triplets - the scan wasn't so clear. I had heart beats at an early scan, but they were under contraction so when I went back the next week I should have been 8 weeks, but they stopped growing at about 6 & 3. I fell pregnant on my first cycle, so it all happened really quickly! I eneded up having a medical management in March, as it just didn't happen naturally. Anyhow, things did not go as planned an I had a lot of retained products. Anyway, 8 weeks on and I have finally stopped bleeding 4 days ago.

So really I have no idea where I am in my cycle, I have no idea how long it normally is as I fell so quickly after having my implant out, I didn't get to keep track! I am trying again but DP lives in Germany, so I have to time the ovulation, with flight times, and relying on that bloody volcano not to explode.....!!I would like to be added to the list but am clueless as to my stats!!

Anyway, that is my little story, I just wanted to say hi to you all xx

BUnderTheBonnet · 17/05/2010 22:50

Hi batteryhen and welcome.

Hi to everyone else too.

I do NOT feel pregnant. Not even any imaginary symptoms. And I KNEW with my other pregnancies. So I'll have my first bloody RTD at this sodding wedding, full of people asking me how I am, with that sypathetic look on their faces. And people desparate to tell me about their mcs which is normally fine, but not when I'll be on the verge of a total and very public collapse.

Also, listening to your mc stories since I've been on here has made me wonder about mine. Did you all stay at home for it? (Unless you needed an ERPC) There is NO WAY I could have been at home (in a hotel room actually). My husband called an ambulance because I lost conciousness. They whizzed me off in a helicopter and operated pretty quickly. I should have had a blood transfusion, but they delayed it so I could travel home. Did it happen like this for anyone else? Is there any significance to it?

Thanks in advance.

dorcas111 · 18/05/2010 07:32

Hi batteryhen, sorry for your loss but welcome here.

BUnderTheBonnet I can sympathize- I have no symptoms either, not even sore boobs which I normally get before my period. I'm pretty sure that I'm not pregnant and I can't believe how despondent I am feeling. Completely miserable. I also have to call up the GPs this afternoon for the results of my ruebella immunity test. If it comes back as I am no longer immune I have to get it again and wait three months before TTC, which is an awful thought.
Sorry that you had such a terrible experience when you mc. I don't know if there is any significance to it though as don't know enough about these things.

Muser · 18/05/2010 08:10

Ladybee That is so sad. I was 21 weeks. From my experience just be there and let her talk when she is ready with wine, cake, chocolate, (maybe not flowers I got so sick of them).......don't stay away or wait for her to call. On some of my worst days people just turning up unannounced really helped.

Batteryhen Welcome to our gang, so sorry to hear your story and that you have had a rough time, you really have come to the right place x

Muser that is great stuff - home straight now!

BUnder hang in there, it's not over until it's over (I keep telling myself this!!!).......and its still early for you isn't it? Sorry you had a rough time and wow, helicopter, were you aware of it? I had a horrific ordeal involving blues and twos, blood transfusions, stage 3-4 hypovolemic shock, was in a bad way......my mum said I was so pale my freckles vanished. I don't think there is any significance to anything anymore involving the trials and tribulations of pregnancy, losses etc (well certainly not in my case).......

Sending WYG queasy vibes this morn...........

OP posts:
BUnderTheBonnet · 18/05/2010 09:17

Magic it is still early - I'm now 12 dpo, but my temp have started a bit of a dip, so I think that's it.

Dorcas I am absolutely gutted too. This is ridiculous.

WYG I hope you're still feeling queasy

hairytriangle · 18/05/2010 09:40

Viv thinking of you! x

my body is weird. officially. I have now got ovulation signs ish including spots all over my chest and a few on my face. Nice. Forty two, wrinkly, rising HCG and no pregnancy, spots and wrinkes. Oh lucky me! LOL

I'm hoping that the mild crampy feeling I have is the retained product threatening to come away - that would be super cool, because tomorrow I have another blood test (if they can find room among the bruises on my arms) and it would be very cool if HCG was now going down rather than up!

Julia1969 · 18/05/2010 09:54

Hairy really feel for you. Like MC isn't difficult enough at least at some point for most of us we know that it's over and can move on to looking for the signs that our bodies, and hopefully minds, are moving forward. You're really suffering a freaky-McDeaky situ - poor you.
I still suffer from adult acne so know how unjust it feels to have wrinkles and pimples but my theory is that if you have zits, people assume your younger than you are - can be fun sometimes!

After my MC I took Agnus Castus to help regulate my hormones. Don't know if it helped but I had my first period 4 weeks after ERPC - it was slightly heavier than usual but cycle was regular from then on - so maybe it assisted.

randomimposter · 18/05/2010 10:02

welcome batteryhen - wow that IS a story, hope you are doing ok.

viv big sunny squeeze to you today x

ladybee what a sad thing to happen. I know all our losses are sad, but I can't help feeling that those later losses must be so terrible to bear.

hairy are you up at the Sussex EPU, I've found them really helpful both times. I hope you start to get some resolution soon. You've been remarkably strong methinks. You, me and Polly should have a be right on meet up at some point...

muser that's great news - happy you are so nearly there.

cheepz time to take the foot off the gas, and take it easy. I remember when I had a similar situation and got poached by an out-going boss for a new business. Lots of jealousy and snarly looks - fortunately it was agreed that I only work 6 weeks notice. And it passed quite quickly. Fingers X for you.

barrenb I had another scan just before the scheduled ERPC and it was deemed that "most" had passed (bloody hell I thought what else can still be in there!!!). Hope your scan shows the same, and no surgery neccessary.

Hope everyone else doing ok. Sorry if I've missed anything else big...

BTW chicken recipe from Fay Ripley Family Food - I originally had very scornful thoughts, bloody actresses what do they know about cooking, but I read the reviews, bought it and it's the most used cookery book on my shelf... yummy yummy, DS eats it all. (Basically brown the chicken, then fry onion, pancetta and garlic in oil, add the rice to coat, add stock, lemon zest, lemon juice, broad beans, sprigs of thyme and some black pepper... bung in the oven... easy peasy).

DS at nursery so off to whirlwind round the house and remove layers of cathair and dust... tarra all.

Thanks lovelies and welcome to batteryhen x

I am at work - figured I'd rather come in and keep busy, although DH and I are planning on going out for dinner tonight after visiting the cemetery.

Was doing okay until I just logged on to Facebook and DH had put that he was thinking of Gracie in his status - it took me by surprise so am now sat at my desk with very watery eyes!

Hope everyone is doing okay - will probably be poppping in and out of here all day today. Much love xxxxx

Thinking of you today Viv, sounds like you're getting through the day. I can't begin to imagine how hard it is.

randomimposter · 18/05/2010 11:12

viv now I'm watery eyed

lucysnowe · 18/05/2010 11:59

viv take care today, and have a good time with DH.

batteryhen glad things are settling down, and fingers crossed that you get a quick result next time (if that's what you want).

Had a massive temp rise this morning but I think that's because of my cold as nothing else is particularly ovulatory. So another long cycle methinks!

Freezingmyarseoff · 18/05/2010 12:16

Morning everyone

Viv thinking of you especially today

And welcome batteryhen these ladies are v nice and funny too, but of course sorry that you're here at all.

Muser not long to go.

Jollster thanks for recipe. I'm intrigued about her book, but I've got so many bloody cook books I don't think I can possibly get another one. Need to use the ones I've got first

Cheepz I'd be well annoyed to have work my full notice too but 3 months will zoom by. Good to know you're so important.

Hairy what a saga.

Ladybee that's really so sad it made me cry.

barrenb Thinking of you today too, hope you avoid the EPRC

Big waves to everyone else.

Not so much to report here, just feeling a bit negative. I'm really busy (hence the lack of posts) as we've got builders starting in a few weeks to do quite a big house extension. We've been planning it for over a year but I can't help thinking why are we bothering, it's not as if we know we're going to have another DC to fill the space.

hairytriangle · 18/05/2010 13:17

Jollster no I was just visiting Brighton for the weekend, I'm permanently in South Wales (for any of you that have heard of the Gurnos, you'll know that the hospital I'm under is not the most celubrious - albeit 25 miles from my house, thankfully I'm not living any where near there! the docs and nurses are nice though).

freezingmyarseoff yes, it is a helluva saga!

Hug to Viv

Thank you Julia1969 - I am doing ok, thankfully it was very early days (hadn't quite accepted even that I was pregnant - did three tests and continued to stare at them in disbelief for 12 hours, before the MC began!). I've heard of Agnus Cactus, but thought it was for if you have short cycles, perhaps it would help me regulate this weird time (I'm usually bang on 28 days)

Goodluckbear · 18/05/2010 13:29

Just wanted to say big hugs for today Viv.

Hope the scan is clear Barrenb, good luck, thinking of you too.

And glad to hear the long wait is nearly over Muser, that's good news.

Hi to everyone else too!!

xxx

Cheepz · 18/05/2010 14:03
