Nice clean thread for us - may there be many a BFP on here

OP posts:
WestYorkshireGirl · 15/05/2010 16:30

Oh dear.... my 'I don't think it's happened, but let wait another week because of my long cycle to test' may have been optimistic. Still no RTD, but just spent nearly 3 hours asleep cos I'm so tired. DH says I look pale. Feel fine in every other way. Hmm - not usual...., but I had hopes last month and look where it got me..... When I was pg last time I didn't get a + till day 39 even though I did several tests before. Only have 1 test in the house and based on previous experience RTD could just be a late one. I will try and hold out.. Tiredness could be nothing - right?

BUnderTheBonnet · 15/05/2010 16:49

WYG do you need a team of us to come and restrain you? Or do you want a "test test test" cheer squad?

LAF77 · 15/05/2010 18:38

Thanks for all your kind words everyone. DH gave me a very sweet card today hoping for another bean soon. I'm sitting in a pub post-Westfield trip and pre-Star of India. I'd like to share a glass with you all around the table (I'm having a Leffe tonight).

There is always hope, so things can get better.

Cheepz · 15/05/2010 21:13

LAF I have found a theraputic Westfield trip can make everything seem much better, although on a Saturday you must be nuts!!

LAF77 · 15/05/2010 21:40

Yes, I am crazy and even crazier to drag DH with me, Cheepz. I bought some new jeans from Uniqlo and he wouldn't stop complaining about shopping!

I've piled on the pounds post m/c with comfort eating and drinking which needs to be addressed on Monday with a return to the gym and eating sensibly!

digitalgirl · 15/05/2010 22:41

Congrats on finally getting the contract cheepz LAF hope you had a nice curry. We're on a bit of a curry binge at the mo, yesterday we had chicken & cauliflower korma and tarka dal with spinach. Today I made grilled curried chicken (defrosted too much chicken yesterday) for dinner. Unfortunately it was too spicy for ds , so had to make him some pasta instead.

magic & BUnder got my fingers crossed for both of you.

wyg I haaate bfn's so I would be holding out till i definitely new I was late. Do you have any idea when you might have ovulated?

Am definitely on the 2ww now (according to my cervix) reckon I'm about 2dpo. Have a v busy week at work coming up so that should make the first week speed by. I don't like the 2ww at all. I'm either pregnant or I'm not. But I won't know for two weeks. In the meantime no amount of sex I have will make me any more pregnant. And yet I still have to watch what I eat just in case. Had cake today, against all the low gi rules, but I think I made up for it with three hours of gardening.

VivClicquot · 15/05/2010 23:05

evening lovelies x

wyg I would refrain from testing only because I fall into the 'ignorance is bliss' camp ... The tiredness sounds promising though so fingers crossed x

cheepz hurrah hurrah for the resignation. I'm loving your poitive frame of mind too - you're a proper inspiration

hairytriangle · 15/05/2010 23:40

Quick update as I'm away.hcg 155 yesterday so up again. Had a good cry yesterday. I just want to be normal!!!!!

hairytriangle · 15/05/2010 23:45

I won't get an ovulation or af til my hormones go pesky bastard body!!!!!

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 16/05/2010 09:55

viv good luck today hun xxx

Hang in there hairy x

OP posts:
northerngoldilocks · 16/05/2010 10:02

Viv - good luck for today - hope that you get through it ok

Hairy - guess its early days although its annoying when your body doesn't just go back to normal straight away, especially if you're as impatient as me.

Its been just over 5 weeks since my ERPC and still no AF, although was having really bad cramps yesterday (odd as don't usually get them- esp not before AF) so was hopeful it might be soon. Did POAS this morning to check it was actually -ve and it was which I suppose is good from a 'getting back on track' perspective, just feels like everything is taking forever!

clareanna · 16/05/2010 10:31

morning all - popping on quickly
cheepz excellent news on the job - hurrah
viv gritted teeth and lots of smiling - good luck
hairy arrgh - don't know what to say - when are you next at the hospital? is it still going up?
northern I had cramps for about a week before my RTD (Red tide of Doom - we feel this is more appropriate than AF )
This happened for my first 2 cycles and then my 3rd cycle was completely normal.
wyg don't know what to say - maybe hold out until friday? Either way if you don't normally get a + until well after your cycle (same as me last time) you'll still be none the wiser at the wedding. Prepare for all eventualities I say, and NEVER say no to free champagne unless you have to

All bonkers in the CA household. Have been making sacrifices to the weather gods as am supposed to be having 20 toddlers to Ds's 3rd birthday party in the garden today for bouncy castle fun. Yesterday the weatherforecast was a massive lump of rain all afternoon, so I decided to postpone it a week and this morning the bastard weather has COMPLETELY changed so I'm trying to see if I can get the bouncy castle after all....
In other news - hit the first high day on CBFM - action stations all week, and my peak is due on DS's actual birthday - trying not to think too much about how perfect and lovely it would be to have made a baby on the day we had a baby....

viv thinking of you today x

hi to all - catch up properly later

Muser · 16/05/2010 11:51

I am about 2 weeks away from being able to rejoin the big list. V. exciting.

Big hugs to all who need them. And as it a Sunday morning, how about some Bloody Mary's and bacon sarnies?

WestYorkshireGirl · 16/05/2010 13:10

Murder Mystery eve very good last night - turns out DH was the murderer Not sure how I feel about that all really - he was so convincing! Unfortunately he drank too much wine, was hung over and probably still over the limit this morning so I had to drive him to the other side of Manchester (50 miles) as he had a guitar show today (he's a musician). I then had to get home via taxi, train and bus which cost £25! The things you do for love, eh?!

Still no RTD here, but quite strong cramps low down and central which kept me awake last night. I had cramps the month I fell pg before (was convinced RTD was just late) so who knows. I nearly gave in and tested this morning, but I am going to try and hold out as my body has played so many tricks on me since mc! I had EWCM 15 days a go I think.

Clare hope you managed to get your party back on and it went well.
Hairy stay strong, lady!
cheepx great news on the resignation. It's so exciting looking forward to starting a new job and meeting new people. When you you start?
Digitalgirl 3 hrs of gardening def outweighs one slice of cake!
LAFF Glad some retail therapy worked
Bunder Any news?

Right best be off to do some jobs now I'm all behind!

VivClicquot · 16/05/2010 14:55

Quick post from my phone. Am in the seventh circle of hell. Compounded by the fact my dress has split at the back so I look (quite literally) like an arse. xx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 16/05/2010 15:40

Hang in there Viv it will be over soon xxx

Great news Muser

No news really similar to last month so I am with WYG and holding out for a day or 2..........no doubt the rusty bitch is about to crash my party.......

OP posts:
barrenbrook · 16/05/2010 16:04

quick post just to wish viv best of luck, thinking of you x

t'is happening today, Accupuncture yesterday and she told me she'd open me up and clear out my uterus, it appears to have had the desired effect as I am currently lying in bath feeling like my insides are falling out my snatch . Least this will negate the need for and erpc, I hope anyway!

On that delightful note, have a good Sunday!

barrenbrook · 16/05/2010 16:05

Oh and congrats cheepz if I can be half as strong as you then I'll be a happy bunny! X

BUnderTheBonnet · 16/05/2010 16:41

Sympathy to viv. My turn next weekend, at this sodding wedding.

I have decided to wait until Wednesday and test then, so I suppose that'll be about the same time as magic and wyg? That means if it's a BFN I can con myself into thinking I just tested too early for a couple more days.

VivClicquot · 16/05/2010 19:23

Am back, and it was all really rather fine in the end. No prying questions - in fact, the worst bit of the day was my new dress splitting up the bum, which has really fucked me off as I've just gone onto the Oasis website and they don't stock it anymore so I can't swap it.

Just Tuesday to get through now, which I know will be immeasurably harder. But thank you to all of you lovely ladies for your kind thoughts and words. It means a lot.

(Oh - and am also grateful that I got a peak on the CBFM today - was concerned I'd peak on Tuesday when I might not be in the right frame of mind to do anything with any intent!)

barren - i feel awful for giggling at your post given the severity of what's happening, but "falling out of my snatch" made me bark.

xx

LadyBee · 16/05/2010 19:42

Oh my god, how irritating! I've just written a lovely long response and then pressed close on the tab and lost it all.

Right...need a glass of wine if I'm going to attempt to re-post.

hairytriangle · 16/05/2010 19:56

Claireanna yes, it's still going up - 155 on friday got another blood test this coming Weds (my arms are no incredibly bruised!) and a consultation Friday, then a nother scan the following Tuesday, so it feels a bit more like there is some kind of plan.

First scan showed no yolk sac, and if HCG rises more slowly than 60% (it's currently rising about 30% at best every 48 hours)then there is no hope of a viable pregnancy, so I'm 'pregnant' but not carrying a baby

So, if scan is ok next time I'm going to say 'just give me the frigging tablets to get rid of whatever 'retained products' (what a horrid phrase) there are so I can get on with my life!'
