It's times like these I feel vaguely sorry for DH - this week I've got pmt, next week will be AF so grumpy anyway, but clomid grumpiness on top, then he gets a week where I'm demanding non stop BD followed by a week of me being depressed about it not working. It's all fun, fun, fun!

stilltrying · 24/08/2005 19:27

my af is due any day now and my pmt starts at ovulation time and then eases off when af comes usually the day before. Think my af will be here in 2 to 3 days as a bit less stressed. i do hope the clomid doesnt turn me into a monster. Ive already decieded to try and control it as much as poss, i mean we wont bd if im a moody miss will we

katierocket · 24/08/2005 19:28

LOL Roobedo, I so know what you mean.

hi katie &co. Looks like I'll be joining you soon.

Spent ££££ seeing a consultant yesterday, and although I didn't exactly learn anything new, he does concur with my analysis of the situation, rather than old GP's (finally have a new one now anyway).

So we've gone from nothing happening, and being told nothing could/would be done, to action on all fronts. In the next few weeks we've got to have sperm test for DH, blood tests for both of us, and ovarian scan + clomid + monitoring scans for me.

Work are going to think I have some fatal disease when I have to take that much time off for appointments!

curvybebe · 25/08/2005 12:54

hey Milesy hope u doing a lot of bd'ing ....Keeping my fingers crossed xx

katierocket · 25/08/2005 17:34

Lunsarsea - that's great news
So good to hear you are getting somewhere.

Loubie37 · 26/08/2005 09:23

Thats great news Lunarsea (your name reminds me of Frank Lampard's new baby daughter....Luna Coco Lampard, or Luna C Lampard )

I hope everything works out for you. How's everyone else doing? No news myself as yet, this 2WW lark does my head in every time. AF due next Wednesday and no signs either way yet, I think the getting up in the night for the loo must have been mind tricks because after the first 2 nights, it's not happened since!

Have a nice weekend everyone

Loubie37 · 26/08/2005 09:24

mumsyof4 - thanks for the inspiration!!

Loubie37 · 26/08/2005 09:25

milesygirl, hope the pains have gone now, did your consultant come up with any answers?

milesysgirl · 26/08/2005 09:30

he said if there still there today then call him for an appointment ....but they have gone he said its quite normal to have some pain in the lower part of your tummy on clomid so he wasnt worried at all .....

Lunarsea - really pleased to hear you've managed to get a new doctor AND have seen a fertility specialist. Shame you had to go through all that rubbish with your old GP. Fingers crossed for you when you start your tests - have you been given any dates yet. Had my 21 day progesterone test yesterday & have to ring the doctor next thurs to discuss results. Have another test next week (cd 2-5) to check ov is kickstarting. Getting really scared now in case it's not just a luteal phase defect..... Keep hoping I'll pull a last ditch BFP out of the bag!...... AF due on Monday! Keep us posted with how your tests go..... Love Iona x

Roobedoo · 27/08/2005 08:39

So where is everyone on the CD stakes? Katierocket, aren't you due AF soon? (still hoping for you though) My AF due Tuesday I think. Just when I've come to terms with definitely not being pg I had a massive wave of nausea yesterday - nearly to the point of running to the loo to be sick. Only lasted about 5 mins but of course it has now pricked the 'could I be?' thoughts. This sort of thing only annoys me as I have no other symptoms. Arrrrgggghhhh it's so annoying.

katierocket · 27/08/2005 08:55

Roobedo, that sounds really promising, fingers crossed. I am due on Monday and definite that it's coming. oh well, roll on another month. Let us know how it goes with you.

Loubie37 · 28/08/2005 18:33

Well, I'm now on CD25 and this morning for the first time ever, Fertility Friend has decided that my chart is 'possibly tri-phasic'!!

For the last couple of days I've felt like AF was definitely going to turn up, but today strangely enough I've felt OK again, so who knows?! Trying so hard not to get my hopes up....

here's my chart , what do you think?

Good luck to everyone else

Twiglett · 28/08/2005 19:01

Loubie

its been a while since I've looked at charting but doesn't 10 successive temps above the base line mean something?? doesn't it??

Loubie37 · 28/08/2005 21:15

I'm not sure really....I've had high temps before all the way through until AF has started, but they usually start dropping by now.

I steel feel like AF is lurking though, I don't feel PG that's for sure!

I'll know in a few days I suppose!

Roobedoo · 30/08/2005 10:08

Anyone got any news? Katierocket, did AF arrive yesterday? Think I'm due today, but only because I had my injection two weeks and ago, although don't have any AF signs yet. Wish she would just come so I can start the clomid again (DH probably wouldn't agree!)

katierocket · 30/08/2005 15:20

hi roobedo. Yes it did. I have to say that in 15 months of trying this was my blackest weekend. Just felt that I cannot keep going with the constant treadmill of anticipation followed by disappointment. Still waiting for results of DP's 3rd sperm test so that might herald more hope.
If you don't have any AF signs that's really hopeful isn't it?

Loubie37 · 30/08/2005 18:45

I'm out of it too . Was so upset when the spotting started yesterday, AF will probably be properly here by the morning, so I'll be starting my first round of Clomid on Thursday no doubt

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat katierocket, fingers crossed for roobedoo

Roobedoo · 30/08/2005 20:30

Nurse who gave me the injection told me to do a test if no AF by this Friday, but then she said that I could wait until the Friday after to save money (as if that would happen!) Feeling quite negative and had a horrible evening yesterday feeling totally fed up with it all, so know how you feel Katierocket. Sorry about your AF and yours too Loubie37 - at least you get to try the drugs now!

Loubie37 · 31/08/2005 20:16

Well, tomorrow it is, I'm quite nervous about popping my first pill...

I've got a question for all you seasoned Clomid girls...will my cycle change because of Clomid? It's normally 27 days long - will it stay like that or get longer/shorter? Does anyone know how long it usually takes for OV after the last tablet?

Thanks x

Roobedoo · 01/09/2005 11:10

So, has your head spun round Loubie? Don't know about the cycle length. If you are being monitored and given the LH injection, you are meant to get AF two weeks later. Katierocket may know as she didn't have the jab. Still no AF for me, so will test tomorrow - but expect AF will turn up just in time to stop the fun!
