Ridiculous Symptom Spotting... come on... you know you do...

OK, so since TTC I've thought (or wondered briefly) the following might be signs of being pregnant...

funny rash on my legs - still don't know what this was
three spots on my forehead - I was convinced this was a hormone induced 'breakout' as I don't normally get spots)
General bad mood - turns out I'm just grumpy
crazy dreams
needing a wee
not needing a wee
not liking the smell of coconut - weird
feeling very weepy and sore boobs - hmmm... this could have just been PMS!
stuffy nose

This month I have a massive craving for Mango which I'm normally indifferent to - I am of course CONVINCED that it's my month...

Am desperately trying to hold out till next weekend to test... I need distractions! anyone else had any funny symptoms and wondered if it could be a SIGN?

of course subject to af not arriving in the meantime tho ladies i have had a bit of restraint as dh was popping to shops today and i was tempted to ask him to get a test but i didnt, so feel quite proud i was able to resist!

My cycles are all over the place at the mo. Anything from 28 - 39 days so the guess work continues!! Does any one else finish AF and then either within a couple of days or up to a fortnight after it's all finished have another couple of days of AF again? Does that make sense???!!!

Not sure what to advise about testing again either. Maybe hold off until the end of the week (I know it's hard!)when maybe it would be more likely to be a BFP. I'm just thinking about the fact that your cycles are normally shorter at 28-29 days and you are already 31(just trying to save you £££ on the tests!!)

Sorry if tmi but after a promising start to yesterday with tiredness, major forgetful and severe gagging at the smell of salad cream, last night I had stabbing pains and abs felt sore to the touch and had watery pink discharge, got up this morning now its watery brown tho not much. Went to bed with the usual thoughts of maybe implantation but after af cramp this morning i expect its just af.

Intead of tormenting myself with hopes of implantation im accepting af is coming and looking on the bright side, going out with dh to a party so i will get to have a drink and its before ovulation as well so guilt free and at least af has arrived like clockwork so helps to predict key times next time.

Its weird coz i was feeling quite lighthearted this time as didnt really feel like it would happen 1st time but yet felt so empty this morning when i woke up. Bloated tummy is nearly gone so couldnt even rub that lovingly! Boobs not as sore now either and im sure not looking as swollen. Not sure what that was all about, maybe settling down properly after coming off pill in oct/nov, i dont know, ran out of answers.

Now its the 4ww arrrggggghhhhh!

My ridiculous 'symptoms' this month have been:
Smelling stuff from the other side of the room.
Feeling tired one night and unable to sleep the next(which ended with me cleaning out the spare room, tidying DS's room while he slept and putting two loads of washing on)
Having weird feelings in my abdomen area.
Having to pee at about 7 every morning.
Feeling off at the thought of DH making his usually lovely Macaroni Cheese.

driving me bonkers. My AF hasn't been terribly regular for a while, I guess she should be here in the next few days, will just have to wait and see!

gone back on what i said and now i am tormenting myself with hopes of implantation and well im sure in a few hours af will be in full force laughing at me but until then heres my thinking on the matter...here comes tmi!

Usually af starts as very dark brown, mainly when i wipe for a couple of days then heavy dark red for a couple of days maybe 3 then back to dark brown for a day or 2. This time started as pink watery when i wiped at bedtime. Yesterday light brown again just seen on tissue. This morning so far still the same. Today would be the crucial day for me would expect to see full AF in full force at least by bedtime tho then again can imagine having a great day of very little happening then tomorrow morning being smacked in the face with af!

So heres my maths...I thought i ovulated cd12 based purely on the length of previous cycles tho to be fair my longest has been 33 days i think and shortest 25 so not actually any real regularity here but felt a dull niggly sensation that day and thought that may have been ovulation. However on cd17 i had major cramps for several hours which seemed too early for af. Im kicking myself as i know better than to leave dh surplus to requirements after i think ive ovulated as i dont actually know when i did and would typically ovulate later those months thus missing the opportunity. Checked my diary and did the business 3 and a half days prior to these cramps, so subject to sperm surviving a few days and an egg just 24 hours it is still possible but probably only just...! So if I were to assume that this isnt af (which is another question in itself, do you count the spotting as cd1 or do you wait for full flow to count cd1???) then today would be cd 28 with the spotting starting on cd26, which counting from the cramps which im suggesting could be ovulation then the spotting would have occured 9dpo which based on what ive read mathimatically all adds up for possible implantation bleeding. Having checked my diary the sore nipples started the day after the suspected ovulation then the day after that strange sensation in my tummy. I recall having ewcm for a few days and it was later than the cd12 when i first thought i may be ovulating but not sure if it was at cd17 tho as not written that down.

Oh do you see how im losing the plot lol! Major straw clutching.

Can I chart my latest symptoms regardless, of lets! Still major tiredness, Boobs still as they were but soreness not as bad, but dh assures me they still look swollen and veins still very obvious. Feeling slim like ive lost weight but havent really, maybe a pound after the bloatedness went but still a bit heavier than the norm despite looking and feeling slimmer. The tiny bit of tummy that remains doesnt disappear when i breathe in which it normally would do oh and gagging at the smell of dh trainers! Weeing lots tho maybe thats down to the fact i cant wait to go and inspect whats going on.

Of course bfn yesterday which i did on the basis of being utterly mad and just had to do it even knowing that if it was af it would of course be bfn and if implantation then may not show yet. Did pee on the same test today just for some poas satisfaction! This is def my strangest cycle ever and i guess i wont give up hope until i see RED!

Ant!! its great to 'see' you again though im sorry to hear you're still no further along than i am . Did you go awol for awhile the same as i did?
These symptoms you've had, are they recent? And what cd are you on? Sorry for firing questions at you lol One more, how have you been?

Bossy i had to read your post a few times before i understood but i totally get it now. would def be too early for a bfp if it is implantation your experiencing (crosses fingers and toes for you). I think i read somewhere it can take up to 3 days after implantation for hcg to show up (i could be wrong tho so dont quote me on that).

To update on me im now on cd33 and STILL no sign of af. I poas yesterday and again this morning and not so much as a whiff of a line. Like you bossy i am starting to think i ov'd later than i thought as i can remember having lots of ewcm at a later stage but didnt write down what day it was. tbh i haven't been writing anything down at all just taking my clomid and trying not to think about anything else..speaking of ewcm i have some more again today-i dont know wtf is going on!! I give up!!
Cramps coming and going and bbs do feel bigger, quite bouncy actually but not sore.

Oh and i forgot to say because i am taking clomid i assummed i would ov 5-10 days after my last tablet, but i did have a kinda flu at the beginning of my cycle so im now starting to think that might have delayed ov.

Ant i was very pleased to see a familiar name and then i was so annoyed with myself for feeling like that because to see a familiar name means that you are still in the same boat, and obv i really hoped you would have had your bfp by now. I know that sounds quite confusing but i hope yswim? dont know why i had to say that but there it is anyway lol

been to loo a zillion times, teeny tinge of pink then just brown again, this is such hard work. Since i came off the pill in oct/nov we havnt always been careful so every month i thought i might be pg so altho our first month of actively ttc its already been a few months of this torment tho everytime i think about it now i feel a bit crampy. I am just tormenting myself, i wish i could think about something else but i just cant, tho i do have my positive thoughts lined up ready about why its better to conceive next cycle!

I did go AWOL for a while, things were getting on top of me. But things are better now, have my got my sensible head back on

My symptoms are recent, as in this cycle. I haven't got an exact CD as my cycles are still a bit iffy, but i reckon I'm on about CD28ish. I am going to wait a while before I decide to test if AF is a no show.

Hello ladies, I've been trying to avoid mn since it adds to the baby craziness but I guess I've caved.

bossy I'm still a little confused with your days but I think implantation bleeding can happen several days or even a weeks or so after implantation. The little ball of cells is busy burrowing in and can cause a slight bleed at any time (i think, dont know though!). dont know if that changes anything for you. Also I would go with EWCM in terms of ov symptoms probably. Although lots of people report EWCM during early pg... Oh the confusion!!! Also (just to waffle on a bit more) I read somewhere that bleeding can also be a period - the hormones arent quite geared up for pg yet and some areas of the uterus not providing a home for baba can shed their lining. (Again, I am NOT an expert, just spend way too much time googling pg stuff).

I'm on 9DPO and going crazy! Had sooo many symptoms but I just know there's a good chance it's all in my head. Already done 2 hpts today. And there's plenty more if I can dehydrate myself a bit to concentrate my wee. They were of course BFN but I swear if I stare at them for long enough a line starts to appear...

Im doing good ant, apart from being on my 5th cycle with clomid and hoping it works soon as iv only 1 dose left to take, then its back to the consultant to see what nice tests lie in store .

I decided not to come on here for a while cause i was at the end of my tether and an emotional wreck about it all,but feeling better now thank god.

Well theres very little going on, My pads are still dry and only see a lil bit of brown on the tissue and thats when im trying very hard to find something to examine. It started Monday at bedtime as pink watery, 2 full days of dry pads but a bit on tissue when i pop to the loo. It sounds promising but i kind of dont believe implantation bleeding happens to people like me. Its the last bit of hope you have before accepting af and dont think i would be lucky enough to get it. Im not sure i really belive thats what it is tho date wise it adds up. About 3 cycles ago i had a couple of days of brown spotting then nothing then heavy af so this could be following a similar pattern so im just waiting really and seem to be popping to the loo once an hour. Usually i would be excited about the increased urination but ive tired myself out with all this. Tho the alternative apart from it just being straightforward af is that when i had those stabbing pains monday night followed by this spotting maybe the egg just didnt take this time. Then you go round in circles and say but oh the pains could have been implantation...!

Oh, does anyone know if you count cd1 from the spotting or from full on af coz usually i count from the spotting, tho this month based on the very little i have going on i wont be counting until real af emerges. This obviously has an impact on my cycle days and therefore when i think i may be ovulating. Just wondered what everyone else does?

Seany - I seen Bubble on the Due Nov '10 ante natal club thing, but that was in March/April - she said she had got a BFP and said she was due 24th November, but haven't seen her since. (not that i am stalking her)

bossy i have been told by my gaene consultant to count first day of full red flow as day 1, hope this helps. I have to say though that is so strange what is happening but it does sound awfully like implantation..

Day 35 for me and still no af!! nips were very swollen last nite, even dp agreed after i demanded he examine them lol

thanks seany will count from today then as af has well and truly arrived tho actually feeling quite good. Dont know what the pregnancy boobs were about but if it was that the egg just didnt take then im optimistic that next month it will!

Just had a good girlie catch up with my friend and im looking forward to my night out with dh next weekend too and being able to have a drink or 2 and such a relief to see af and get started on my new cycle, hate it when it drags out like this, so feeling positive vibes.

bossy oh no i'm so sorry AF arrived but glad you have such a positive attitude about it. I think going out with DH and having a few drinks sounds good. If AF arrives for me in a few days I've decided to buy something nice - like a top or something.

I'm only on ttc1 cycle 2 seany, so feel really quire embarrassed actually about how crazy I have already become,especially reading some of the stories here. Fingers crossed for you at the moment.

that said, here is a list of my symptoms at dpo 10:
tiredness (until yesterday)
cramps (totally normal)
strong pee smell (my imagination?)
bleeding gums twice
bleeding nose twice (ok so a tiny bit of blood on tissue but weird??!)

I also spotted on 7dpo and thought that was it for the month since I usually spot for several days before af. But it stopped and now only 3 days to go and no more spotting!

Of course I'm a serious POASer and have had 3 BFN already today.. But, that last one.. maybe there's a hint of a line. I'm talking tilt it in the light, stare for half an hour kinda line. DH agrees it is there but I'm thinking an evaporation line ??

So what do you ladies think? Thing is, I have the internet cheapies that are super sensitive (10 whatever it is) and first response - all negative. Surely I would have seen something by now? (more than my imaginary evaporation line I mean!!).

dont be embarrassed claire, everytime i pester dh to look at my ever so round but veiny and firm tummy or my 'pregnant' boobs he gives me that look and i always say that im not the only one doing this and that most women ttc are just as bonkers coz we all want it so much and i assure him that im normal!

I still havent been able to fill a whole pad in ooohh 64 hours. Had one smidge of what looked like af and thats when i admitted defeat, despite these dull af cramps im still wishful thinking. Those pregnancy boobs have gone which tbh i didnt even have when i was pg last time so that was weird, wonder what madness this next cycle will bring!

bossy that is so strange!! I would hold off for a day or two and if af does not arrive properly do a test. It is possible to bleed during early preg-my friend bled really lightly with her first dc and the fact that af was so weirdly light was what pushed her to do a test.

I dont think i am going to do anymore tests. I spoke to my gp today on the phone and he said to quote "those over the counter tests are no good,they claim to be able to tell you about 30 seconds after you conceive but they are no good! Most people actually dont test positive until a week after the missed period. Come to the surgery on monday if your period has not arrived by then and i will do blood tests"
Hes quite a crap gp tbh but he gave me a little bit of hope.

Bossy - I would do what Seany says - hold off for a few days and if AF doesn't arrive properly, do a test!

I have had no more weird symptoms, except the same as you Seany with the swollen (and sensitive) nips last night.

The only sign of impending AF for me is that I start to feel a bit bleeugh, then she comes. So far, I haven't felt like that. Am keeping my fingers crossed.

What I was planning to do is keep a note of how I feel, any weird symptoms I have this month so that I don't get worked up about the same ones next month.

I guess i am out for the month, had a tiny tiny smidgen of pink on the toilet roll this morning (a tiny spot the size of my wee fingernail).nothing since but i usually spot before af so it would appear that is what is going to start happening. im on cd36, this has been my longest cycle ever. my nips are still sore though no doubt that will disappear when af arrives in all her glory..
