Ridiculous Symptom Spotting... come on... you know you do...

millymoo1234 · 29/03/2010 21:22

OK, so since TTC I've thought (or wondered briefly) the following might be signs of being pregnant...

funny rash on my legs - still don't know what this was
three spots on my forehead - I was convinced this was a hormone induced 'breakout' as I don't normally get spots)
General bad mood - turns out I'm just grumpy
crazy dreams
needing a wee
not needing a wee
not liking the smell of coconut - weird
feeling very weepy and sore boobs - hmmm... this could have just been PMS!
stuffy nose

This month I have a massive craving for Mango which I'm normally indifferent to - I am of course CONVINCED that it's my month...

Am desperately trying to hold out till next weekend to test... I need distractions! anyone else had any funny symptoms and wondered if it could be a SIGN?

pleas join in the madness and let me know I'm not the only one! xxx

Hi All,

This is my first post ever on MN I've been following this thread for a couple of weeks now and feel like I've finally found a place to balance my (seeming??) insanity. It's so nice to know that I'm not alone.

DH and I have been TTCing since about January but have only really put our minds to it in the last couple of months. And now I'm coming up with symptoms I'm sure I'm imagining. Uugh.

It's about 4 days post-ovulation (sorry, haven't got all the acronymns down yet) and I'm feeling really wiped out, tired, slight sore throat, horrendously grumpy and a sore left ovary feeling. Sort of feels like af time, but that's more than a week away. This is going to be a veeeeeeeeeery long week....

Thanks for all the laughs

Madasajarofwasps · 21/06/2010 21:55

Aw dandeliondrama we'll look after you here! The waiting is the worst isnt it? I started imagining/feeling symptoms 2dpo (days post ovulation). I hope the wait goes quickly for you.

I can recommend going camping to take your mind off things I haven't been obessessing as much, and some of my symptoms have dropped off a bit. But my sore boobs are still tingling away and I have started to feel a bit bloated too. I also have the odd wave of nausea and the tiredness is still here (but then camping with two young children always wipes me out but I did nod off 4 times in the car yesterday, I wasnt driving I hasten to add!) I must resist testing until Friday . Good luck in joining in the madness.

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 21/06/2010 21:57

Hi Dandelion, good luck for ttc .is this number 1 for you? I agree it will probably be a long week for you,but dont worry we will all be here to keep you company and offer you words of encouragement restraint when you want to test early

madas how'd your camping trip go? have you managed to be a good girl and stay away from boots

emmy i totally agree with you! positive thoughts all round for me!

Dice we can help keep each other on the healthy eating wagon, cause believe me i will need help lol

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 21/06/2010 21:58

sorry madas crossed posts there, and you have already answered my question

Madasajarofwasps · 21/06/2010 22:25

Hi seany I hope this new cycle is a good one for you .

Camping was great, although not quite the same minus the late night drinking lol! And yes I avoided Boots, I just have to keep avoiding it until Friday, which will be tricky as a new out of town one has just opened!!

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2010 22:36

evening, how is everyone? well, i just feel bloated and tired today. not going to test till weds i think, then if nothing has happened by fri off to the docs i go to see whats going on.
lets hope there some positives this week for us.

NinjaChipmunk · 22/06/2010 12:17

well cd34 of 27 day avg cycle. 19 dpo, have just been to loo and had cm which was a tiny bit blood tinged. so should know if af has finally arrived by this evening i guess? a pad is in but the jury is out. if its not started tonight i shall test tomorrow am. hmmm, hopefully it will at least be an answer......

Madasajarofwasps · 22/06/2010 13:39

Good luck Ninja I agree we need some BFP's on here soon to prove that we are not all bonkers xx

bossyboop · 22/06/2010 13:46

Hi everyone, been reading all the posts but only been on 2ww a few days so not a lot to report. TBH i was writing this month off, loads going on so buy busy busy, dh not been well or dd, been very tired due to being so busy and didnt really get to BD as often as we should so didnt really expect it to happen this month. Last af was a bit weird so wasnt too sure when cd1 was tho i think i may be on cd20 today.

I had began to wonder if cd17 was when i ovulated with a short luteal phase as UCL is 27-28 days. Month 1 had ewcm on cd17, month 2 bad cramps cd17, this month - month 3 ewcm on cd17. But then this happened last night cd19...

Went to loo and had pink streaks in cm, af not due for another 7-8 days. Today got more definite pink streaks in ewcm and pinky beige tinged cm, tho not very much.

Ive never ever had anything like this between periods apart from if i missed a pill or something so this has me feeling quite excited that it could be implantation. Tho in the back of my mind im reminding myself im not sure if we did it at the right time, but then it only takes once right?!

Another week to wait so im stepping away from the FR but also stepping away from the wine...

NinjaChipmunk · 22/06/2010 13:48

thanks madas, i think it will end up being af though. what i want is a magic button so if it is af i would just know and not sit here waiting to need the loo and see whats there.

it all seems a bit odd to me, why after having incredibly regular periods for ever, is it late the first month of ttc but all bfn when i test? why couldn't it just come on time or be straightforward?

sorry but feeling like i need an outlet for my pissed offness. bloody bodies, who'd have them?

Dandeliondrama · 22/06/2010 20:03

Hi Madas, camping sounds like a great distraction and have no idea how you managed it with 2 children! I'm sure that's a skill I'll have to master . Yes this will be number 1 for me seany...DH wants 4 but then again he's not the one who has to give birth! I may need to gently re-adjust his thinking. Haha.

Am starting to feel the pressure tho, as DH is heading towards the wrong side of 30 and I've had an ovarian cyst removed a few years ago. Am hoping that won't affect chances of TTC but worry nevertheless.

Am still feeling under the weather today - does one run a temperature when pg?

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 22/06/2010 21:21

Bossy I had that pink tinged cm on cds 16 and 18 last cycle and think it might have been late ov, cause af didnt arrive til cd38 .
With you usually having a 27-28 day cycle its quite promising that it could be implantation for you.i'll keep everything crossed that it is (apart from my legs obv as its coming up to our busy time of the month )keep us posted cause we want to hear every symptom in great detail.theres nothing like obsessing over someone elses symptoms when its not time yet to obsess about your own lol

Dandelion i think 4 is a perfect number (though bloody hard work id say) .You might be able to change his mind (not so gently) when your in labour with number 1 lol

4 is how many me&dp want, though its not been working out according to plan
Not too sure about temps when your pg,though i know your basal body temp goes up slightly.

ninja feel free to rant and rave all you want.it does feel better to get it off your chest [hugs].sorry your feeling so shitty.

TheDiceGirl · 22/06/2010 21:39

Hmm well it's CD48 for me and still nothing yet.. Starting to feel a bit crappy though but I did manage to eat healthily today! So I'm very proud of myself

Anyone had any good "symptoms" lately? Make me laugh, I've had a lousy day

NinjaChipmunk · 22/06/2010 22:23

thanks seany, its a drop in the ocean compared to what some go through so i know i really shouldn't grumble.

anyway, i'm out of the game for the duration of flo's visit, dp has been told to make sure his strength is up as once af is gone its every other night for us for the forseeable future (might add he did say he thought he could rise to the challenge!)

i promise not to be so miserable next time, otherwise i'll go mad! hope to see some positives here soon, sorry you've had a lousy day dicegirl

bossyboop · 23/06/2010 07:37

that will keep me away from the FR seany just in case its late ovulation. Trying to stay grounded but cant help smiling to myself and having visions on it sleeping in a little egg shaped sleeping bag! DH just smiles at me and he is excited as well tho wont be any shock if its not.

All i can report is the last few days been to loo more, not for a tinkle, the other. Nothing suspicious about it just more often. Have been very thirsty but probs just the weather. No runny nose but it has been bunged up tho I dont have a cold or hayfever. Did feel some twinges last night but could be late ovulation rather than implantation. Quite bloated tho just low down. Started walking like a penguin last night, couldnt help but adopt the pregnancy waddle as just feel a bit weird, but that is probs just psychological as im thinking about it so much!

bossyboop · 23/06/2010 08:43

tired of googling implantation bleeding (tho should be an expert on it now) so needed something new to look at so been looking at ovulation calculators and changing details about UCL and LP and seems to bring back around about the same fertile days each time and we did BD the day before the earliest of these fertile days. Also thinking if this is late ovulation then we did also BD a couple of days before this started. So either way still in with a chance which probably makes things worse as before i didnt think we had hit the right time so wasnt really expecting it but always secretly hoping! On CD 21 possibly 7-9 dpo. Glad you all know what i mean, DH's eyes glaze over when i talk about dpo and ucl etc!

Madasajarofwasps · 23/06/2010 10:22

I'm not mad, I'm not mad, I'm not mad!!!!!!!

Just POAS this morning, shouldn't have done its too early and it was only a cheapy boots one - and a faint line, not too faint as I don't have to squint, its def there. Whoopee!! I am so excited. I know its early days I'll do the other test on Friday to be sure. Oooh er its been a while since I have been in charge of a baby - hope I remember what to do!

Bossy try not to drive yourself bonkers. If its any help I have the bloated feeling and waddled a bit . I can also feel it when I reach down to do my shoes. I thought I was imagining it all. Fingers crossed for you xx

NinjaChipmunk · 23/06/2010 12:15

woohoo! congrats to you madas, what lovely news. you must be chuffed to bits.

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 23/06/2010 13:44

Brilliant news madas!!! big congratulations 2 u and mr madas . finally a bit of good news in the camp!! delighted for you

Bossy hopefully you will be sharing the same news with us very shortly

BookAnt · 23/06/2010 16:34

Aww Congrats Madas!!!!

But I am a little disappointed in your resolve You were supposed to be waiting til the 25th to test with me (whine whine whine)

I have nothing to report, besides being desperately thirsty and having a sore throat. I still feel tired (but expect it is probably the weather) And keep dropping off for 'naps' during the day.

Welcome Dandelion!!

How is everyone else??

Madasajarofwasps · 23/06/2010 17:25

Oh I know BookAnt . I was going to wait but something came over me this morning - I woke really early and thought I must get a test I really must. Your strength in resisting to test is most admirable and I hope you get the reward for it .

I'll test again Friday and pretend its the first one if you like . Good luck xx

bubblebrain · 23/06/2010 18:39

Hello, Been off MN for a little while but good to see the thread is still going!!

I have been symptom spotting like mad and been having really wierd cramp/stich like pains on the left hand side. Immplantation?? or ovulation??? Nothing?? Agh driving myself mad. Cycles last two months have been 38 days each and I think i'm about day 24 today.

Any advice on what the pain might be would be great and hope I am not going completely bonkers!! (probably too late though as I am on here again!!)

Dandeliondrama · 23/06/2010 21:53

Oooooh, ooooooooh jumps up and down bubblebrain I'm having those weird cramp/stich like pains on the left hand side too! And every now and then there's a left lower back twinge too. That's been going on for about 3 days now. And when I bend over I get another weird little pain sort of mid-tummy, right above my belly button . Maybe we are bonkers????!!!!! My cycle is about 28 days, and I'm on day 23 or so now....

TheDiceGirl · 24/06/2010 10:34

thanks ninja i'm feeling much better now, just one of those days i think! And congratulations madas! About time we had another bfp on here, really chuffed for you I still don't really have anything to report. I keep thinking i can smell or taste cider but that would be it really. CD50 today! Getting ever so slightly frustrated how are the rest of you crazy lovely ladies?

bossyboop · 24/06/2010 16:21

After 2 days of stretchy cm with pink streaks, yesterday had nothing but today more streaks tho just the once when i went to the loo. Been feeling niggly twinges and this morning felt quick sick and dizzy and had to do the ironing sitting down tho it wasnt particularly warm and i had eaten a good breakfast, been to loo a fair few times too - 3 times in 20 minutes this morning and bursting each time. Still bunged up and a bit sensitive to smells tho not gagging but turning my stomach. Good luck to all!
