OK, so since TTC I've thought (or wondered briefly) the following might be signs of being pregnant...

funny rash on my legs - still don't know what this was
three spots on my forehead - I was convinced this was a hormone induced 'breakout' as I don't normally get spots)
General bad mood - turns out I'm just grumpy
crazy dreams
needing a wee
not needing a wee
not liking the smell of coconut - weird
feeling very weepy and sore boobs - hmmm... this could have just been PMS!
stuffy nose

This month I have a massive craving for Mango which I'm normally indifferent to - I am of course CONVINCED that it's my month...

Am desperately trying to hold out till next weekend to test... I need distractions! anyone else had any funny symptoms and wondered if it could be a SIGN?

pleas join in the madness and let me know I'm not the only one! xxx

I've had a 21day progesterone test and it was normal. Dr was very nice about it all and he said I can refer you if you want but as the progesterone was ok, I thought ok, give it another month

Have just e-mailed a private clinic here to ask about initial tests and costs...do not want to wait too long

Went to a local fun fair with DS on saturday, saw one woman, easily 6mths pregnant and smoking...I was nearly in tears and angry with her

Doubt its implantation as all the tests I've done have been negative...too down to hope now, so will just wait for flo to start properly - what's the betting it takes a good couple of days to get going and raises my hopes again!!

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 15/06/2010 22:03

pussin its baffling and so stressful. when i went to first apt with gynae cons there was a nice big egg ready to be released and he said he didnt think he'd be seeing me back again. obv that wasnt true so next step im told will be the dye test. (i had a diff cons on my 2nd visit and left the hosp in tears cause he wouldnt answer my questions)

Its hard seeing pregnant women who dont take care of themselves.

Where abouts in the world are you? Do you know if you're local hospital gynae clinic has a long waiting list?

bossyboop · 16/06/2010 10:00

It makes me angry too, walking down to nursery with dd, theres a 21 year old woman taking her child to nursery while her partner pushes the buggy with another child in while she smokes and she is heavily pregnant gggrrrr!

Was reading some old posts about people getting a bfn then hours later the test shows a bfp which of course you should disregard after however long, but then later test reveal bfp and they went on to have babies...anyway - I like to leave my tests in the cupboard in case this miracle ever happens to me which means that if i get the urge to poas again as i had probably done that test too soon anyway - i have a test to reuse before popping it in the bin. Of course not a lot happens, I still have my bfn to look at but still get the satisfaction from poas but without another wasted test!

Note to self...must start manufacturing my own brand of pregnancy tests in order to make my millions...

PussinJimmyChoos · 16/06/2010 19:12

Sean - am in Bristol..not sure what the wait list is like...have managed to book an initial appt with a fertility consultant for a few weeks.. will be mid cycle then so hopefully he will be able to see whether there is an egg about to come out etc. Have been told we can still TTC so am a bit that he may see the 'swimmers' as it were!

Will get DH tested as well but a bit as I seem to be the one being proactive with all this...

Am horrified that second cons made you cry! Hope you complained! So, are you having the lap and dye on NHS or? Hope you don't have to wait too long

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 16/06/2010 21:14

Bossy thats great that you managed to get an apt so quickly.

All my treatment so far has been nhs and dye test will be too. Am going to my gp next week to see if he can speed apt up as i still havent received any letter and im meant to be due back in july.

Dont be embarrassed about the consultant seeing swimmers,as i have no doubt that they have seen everything imaginable and dont even bat an eyelid. I have heard of some tests where they ask you to come in after intercourse, now that would def make me die of embarrassment! Oh the things we women go through!!

I thought this morning that af had arrived for def as i had cramping and bright red blood when i wiped but have been using tampax and theres hardly anything on them (kinda like end of af brown blood in tiny amounts) ,so ive just got nothing on now as its stopped completely. And my boobs feel really heavy

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 16/06/2010 21:15

oops had just reread bossys post and wrote bossy on instead of pussin

PussinJimmyChoos · 16/06/2010 21:27

Well I am bossy so

When can you test Seany?? I bet your hopes are getting up

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 16/06/2010 21:44

If the bleeding doesnt come back i am going to test on sunday, which will be 2 weeks after i had the orangey tinted blob of cm.at the time i thought it might be implantation but now im suspecting it was maybe late ovulation

Im actually not getting my hopes up for a change as im used to the let down by now so im just going to wait and see lol

did af show up for you today pussin?

PussinJimmyChoos · 16/06/2010 21:47

Yes but was sooo slow starting (as predicted) so I POAS (again!!) just to rule it all out and as expected, BFN

Bit emotional today..only took three months to conceive DS so feel a bit eeek that going down this route now and also scared that if I have to take Clomid, of multiple pregnancies

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 16/06/2010 22:02

aww try to keep your chin up (i know it is easier said than done). when you conceive so quickly with your first it is such a big shock to have nothing happen second time around (only took me 5 mths to conceive ds).

If you're like me you will feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders when you come out of the consultants office,as it feels good to know that something is being done to help you.

Also you have prob heard a lot of horror stories about clomid but truth be told i had no probs with it. the only thing i found was on my second cycle taking it i got really dizzy, emotional and had mood swings but it was gone in a few days and that only happened that one time.

Its so hard watching other people in RL having babies at the drop of a hat.my sil who is same age as me is preg with her 4th.we were both preg at the same time(was her 2nd),so she has managed to have another baby and be 5 mths preg in the time that i have been ttc number 2

LadyStitt · 16/06/2010 22:11

oh my god - I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!!!!!

I Have had sore boobs - not as sore as they are before a period just a bit achy!!

I have had mild stomach cramps, pains in my lower back, i have gone off tea, have got a spotty face (i don't usually!)

I am more tired then i am usually too, but i have just started a new job....

I am hoping they are symptoms but i don't want to get my hopes up... maybe there is a simple explanation for them??!!!! argghhh, i don't know!!!!

My period not due till 28th June..... i am going baby crazy!!!!

BABY DUST TO YOU ALL !!!

BookAnt · 17/06/2010 10:36

Morning Ladies,

What I thought was AF starting has turned into nothing..... just a teensy bit of brown for two days then nothing.

I have had some constipation
I felt queasy yesterday in the car, had to put window down for some cold air.

Other than that - I'm just mental

How is everyone else??

Madasajarofwasps · 17/06/2010 11:02

Hi all - much madness going on here too ! I do have to laugh at myself as I was sooooo determined not to symptom spot but it is just so hard not to. I am now 9dpo (possibly, can't be sure) and the nausea seems a bit stronger, metallic taste, tiredness, headaches, slight cramps, sore boobs. I ate a tinned peach yesterday and nearly gagged, but this could all be in the mind!

I also tried a little run yesterday. Just to clarify in case you think I am being reckless, I normally run 20 to 30 miles a week and not running for me is not normal and makes me stressy. So I tried one yesterday and I felt so breathless and my heart rate was up so I had to stop after 4 miles and walk a bit - this is most unusual for me (I ran a marathon two months ago) so I am not unfit!! My mouth was also drier than Ghandi's flip flop!

I WILL NOT test until next week - AF due on the 25th, we are away until Monday so this will help the resolve over the weekend but next week I very much doubt I will wait til Fri!!

pussin sorry you are feeling rubbish - big hug to you {{}}

seany hope you can hold out til Sunday - thinking of you.

Ladystitt you are most definitely not the only one!! Sounds like you are in a similar cycle to me - good luck, and maybe we could try and resist testing too early together

Madasajarofwasps · 17/06/2010 11:05

Ooops sorry Bookant missed you there - will you be testing soon? I hope you are not mental and its a good sign for you .

BookAnt · 17/06/2010 11:29

I am going to hold out on testing until 25thish.

I have no idea when i am due, as last month AF visited on the 14th..... so I have no idea

NinjaChipmunk · 17/06/2010 13:01

day 29 of a 28 day cycle and still no af. should i buy a test on the way home if i haven't started by then?

Madasajarofwasps · 17/06/2010 13:17

Okay Bookant - I'll hold out to the 25th if you do

Ninja oh I couldn't tell you, but if you want to know now get a test. You did day you would wait til Thurs or Fri and well its Thurs now. I understand your nerves tho, fingers crossed for you. Do you still have symptoms?

NinjaChipmunk · 17/06/2010 13:32

a bit burbly in the tummy maybe but not really anything else. mind you i didn't have any symptoms at all with ds, just a bump and a bit of heartburn near the end!

Madasajarofwasps · 17/06/2010 13:41

lol at the bump and hearburn . Good luck whenever you decided to test - just one thing we are away on Fri and will be without t'internet - I will be on tenterhooks for you - but don't let me influence you! Take the test when you are ready

TheDiceGirl · 17/06/2010 14:34

Sorry I keep going long periods without posting, I'm trying to avoid symptom spotting and this website doesn't help my addiction!

STILL no AF. I'm getting frustrated. This is CD43! Aaaaargh I tested just over a week ago last I think, and got BFN.

Give me some hope/a smack in the face ladies, is it anywhere near possible for me to be pregnant if I'm still getting BFNs? Anyone had this problem at all? Or is my body just completely hating me.. I can't say I'm really having any symptoms, apart from being a moody cow. Did have heartburn but I haven't had it in the last week. So confused!

NinjaChipmunk · 17/06/2010 14:36

how long are your cycles usually dicegirl? have you seen a gp?

TheDiceGirl · 17/06/2010 14:42

I don't know if I'm honest, I haven't really actively kept track up until the last 2 months or so. But I'm sure the month before this, it was about 27 days. No I haven't been to gp.. Do you think I should?

NinjaChipmunk · 17/06/2010 14:47

if af has always been regular before and about 27 days then maybe yes. but if its always been a bit random then maybe start to write down the days your period starts (if and when!) and when you think you ovulate i guess so you can see if there is a pattern? sorry i know thats not much help right now.

TheDiceGirl · 17/06/2010 15:00

Well I don't think they've ever been perfectly regular but it's never been this bad before. Think I'll book an appointment for a week's time and if it comes before then I can always cancel. Thanks, you have really helped! Even just talking about it makes me feel slightly sane

NinjaChipmunk · 17/06/2010 15:07

its a horrible thing t go through without being able to talk about it.
i'm so bad at not talking and thnking about it that i've just managed to blurt out to my work colleague that i'm a day late and i need to test!
