I thought I'd start a thread for all of us who worship at the shrine of Toni Weschler, spend whole seconds analysing cervical mucus, slip over in the shower checking cervical position and spend two minutes every morning flicking their heads from side to side in a valiant attempt to stop a baby pulling the thermometer out of their mouths. Ladies, this thread is for all of us, may it see many many BFPs!

empty if it doesn't switch back and are confident day 17 is right, you can click on your day 19 temp and check the "discard" box. That should force FF to change the date back.

LittleSilver · 01/07/2010 19:16

Thanks guys for your kind words just a bit wibbly. It means a lot. Pregnancy always makes me have +++watery CM, and of course it makes me run off to the loo to check.

Oh, hippy, we are buddies for real . I feel like I've gone through so much with you guys.

Orchid, how many DPO are you? When's test date?

Empty check you out with your EWCM? ON TCOYF.com they download proud pics on the CM gallery!!

I would love to have loads of EWCM!! I never seem to have any!

bessie26 · 01/07/2010 22:33

hey guys, could I ask you for some advice on my cycle?

my UCL is 31 & I O around CD16. I'm currently on my 2nd cycle since MC, so I think things are still being a bit wierd.

according to CBFM my peak was CD11 & CD12, but I've had EWCM CD11->15 (today) so I'm thinking that maybe I tried to O, but didn't manage it?
My temp did go up slightly on CD11, but then went back down again, but my temps have been a bit wobbly all year - am seriously considering vaginal temping just o see if I get better readings!

spilttheteaagain · 02/07/2010 07:20

bessie are you on Fertility Friend? If so you can share your chart which would make it a bit easier to comment on. Choccie explained how about 10 days ago on this thread.

If you haven't seen a sustained temp rise (3 or more high temps) it's probably unlikely you've ovulated yet. Your body can gear up to it and for some reason not ovulate and then try again. I would keep SWI if I was you as you're in your usual fertile phase now.

Is there any reason why CD11 and CD12 might be a bit incorrect? Bad night, wrong time etc?

emptyshell · 02/07/2010 08:39

So as long as my temp boings up and down above the coverline I'm still in the running right? It's dropped this morning to just a smidge above it, but my temps are up and down anyway as a general rule.

bessie26 · 02/07/2010 10:00

split all my cycles are on TCOYF and I also have the last 2 on FF

I did wake early on CD12, but my temps wobbled lower after that anyway. I had EWCM again this morning, so I really don't think I can have O'd (when I had a fever back in Jan, I had about 25 days of EWCM & still don't think I managed to pop an egg out!)

empty - as spilt says, having 3 higher temps is a good indication that you have O'd - my problem is believing my temps!

BabyValentine · 02/07/2010 10:40

Morning bessie - can't see your TCOYF charts.

From your FF charts is does seem like you haven't ovulated yet, and your temps are just getting back to normal after the MC. Are the last two low temperatures reliable; did you take them at the same time/after a good sleep? If yes, then it suggests that you did produce a surge around Day 10, but then didn't ovulate. I don't think that is anything to worry about, especially as it is so soon after your MC. Keep swi'ing though

BabyValentine · 02/07/2010 10:42

Just realised I've just repeated everything spilt said. Ooops, great minds and all that...

bessie26 · 02/07/2010 22:22

hahaha - if you both say it, is must be true!

a couple of the temps were a bit early, but always after at least 3 hrs sleep. My temps were a bit wobbly before the MC, someone said on here about sleeping with their mouth open affecting their temps? perhaps I should try sticking my thermometer somewhere other than my mouth?!

BabyValentine · 04/07/2010 10:43

Never did it myself (my temps were usually unaffected by disturbed sleep), but I do hear that vaginal readings are more accurate!

spilttheteaagain · 04/07/2010 20:31

bessie how are you doing now? Any hint of ovulation?

And teason, you were on the 2ww IIRC, how many DPO are you?

8rubberduckies · 04/07/2010 20:55

Hi all, have been away for a while frolicking and forgetting about ttc, it's been so nice! I left my thermometer at home but was also very slack with taking all my pills, so am feeling a bit guilty, but am only on CD7, so there may be hope for me this cycle, you never know.

I have been feeling very broody this week and therefore very determined; there was a lovely woman camping next to us with her 4 lovely kids. Was so lovely watching my ds, who's 2 next month, running around with them all and having loads of fun, and the older children taking him under their wings. Felt really sad at the thought of him being an only child and never a big brother . I'm 95% sure one of my closest friends is pg too - she hasn't told me officially yet but I am convinced, it's so obvious every time I see her and her dp! It would be so great if we could be pg together!

I haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread yet properly but I hope you are all well

bessie26 · 04/07/2010 22:30

8rubberduckies - am so jealous pleased to hear you've been off having a fab time - where did you go?
I know what you mean about wanting a sibling for DC - I was an only child, and I really don't want DD to be one too!

spilt - still no sign of O, but I'm seeing my accupunture lady on tuesday, so hopefully she'll be able to encourage an egg out!
I've also started the vaginal temping, so I'll let you know if I get any less wobbly temps!

theteasonme · 04/07/2010 22:59

Hi ladies, quick question... my temps can't be relied upon completely at the mo - have had a few disturbed nights/mornings and I just plain forgot one morning

Anyway, I got a +ive OPK late last week then another, even stronger the next day BUT I've not had any recognisable EWCM or any pain that I remember. My temp is higher today though and was just above the coverline yesterday. Would you say I'd ov'd?

I've tentatively said I have on the March bus but am not convinced. What do you think?

theteasonme · 04/07/2010 23:01

OMG my message was number 666 - just had to add another one!

Orchid12 · 05/07/2010 08:11

hmm, not sure teason You could well have done. Some months I only get a slow rise after OV. To be sure I would carry on SWI for another couple of days if you can!!

8 I am an only child and it didn't bother me, my dad was my playmate when I was younger and it means we have a great relationship now, so it's not always a bad thing. I know what you mean though about wanting a sibling. My DS is also 2 in a couple of months and all my friends with children the same age are PG now. I'm finding it really hard to be around them as they sit and talk about how exciting it is to be expecting again when for the love of God I can't seem to manage to get PG again. My broodiness just won't go away!!

My post OV temps are fluctuating wildy at the moment. I need to test tomorrow or Wed so we can confirm DH's SA on Thursday. I'm trying not to be negative before I've even done it but I just don't "feel" pregnant in any way. At least I'll know one way or another

emptyshell · 05/07/2010 14:43

My temps were sky high but have dropped to just teetering above the coverline - due in 2 days, have done everything we can this month but meh I dunno.

8rubberduckies · 05/07/2010 21:17

Good luck Orchid, make sure you tell us the news as soon as you know!

bessie and orchid I am an only child, then my Dad went on to have three children in his second marriage, who are a lot younger than me. I have always felt a bit envious of my half-siblings' close relationships, and always wanted brothers and sisters to play with even when I was growing up. My partner was one of 3 boys and is desperate for more than one as well... my friend came around with her 6 month old today and my heart melted when I watched him cuddling her...

bessie I went to Devon camping - it was lovely! Want to be back there

spilttheteaagain · 05/07/2010 21:21

Bummer empty, I hope that doesn't mean what you think it does.

hippychick66 · 05/07/2010 22:25

theteasonme you may be a little devil but don't fret about the 666 thing

Just popping on to let you all know I'm alive and well and even doing a bit of SWI.

Had a little bit of egg white the other day so eased DH in gently (god that sounds so much worse than I meant it to ) You know what i mean started suggesting and initiating sex!

Have had a couple of faint lines on an OPK but not dark enough yet. So expect a positive in the next couple of days and will then have to suddenly become all sexy again (yawn yawn - bit pissed off cos should really be pregnant now and not having to pretend to be sexy at all ) Still ho hum.

I swing between really wanting to get preg asap so i can be back on target and dreading a positive cos it will mean I have to start worrying about a 3rd MC!!!! arrgghhh.

bessie26 · 05/07/2010 22:38

8 I would love to have 3 kids... 1 down, 2 to go! and camping eh? hmmmm... perhaps I'll give it a go when DD is a bit older (and only in a poncy Winnebago type thing!)

empty it's not over until AF shows her ugly face!

teason I think you have to wait until you've had 3 temps above your coverline before you can be sure(ish) that you have O'd

I appear to be "drying up", but still no temp rise, so maybe my body has given up trying to push an egg out? Is very annoying as I'm booked in to have my progesterone levels checked on friday, which I guess I'll have to now have re-done next month... which means a month delay before my Dr can try to get me referred

bessie26 · 05/07/2010 22:45

hippy I know what you mean about the fear of a third MC, but at least then they'd give us some tests!

DH is going away for a few days tomorrow, so I guess I should really be doing something other than a*sing about on here

hippychick66 · 05/07/2010 23:45

bessie guess you're off shagging like mad but thought I'd ask anyway.

Have you had 2 MC's in a row then??? Sorry if you've already mentioned it.

LittleSilver · 06/07/2010 13:00

hippy you made me laugh out loud! Glad to hear you are, er, getting down to it. I know what you mean about it being a pain to be sexy.

I'm fine, having madly ordered a tray of vol-au-vents that we had at DD3's baptism becuase that is the only thing I fancy right not. Last week it was microwave rice, week before it was marmite on wholegrain toast, and a few days ago I bought a whole crate of ginger beer and then promptly went off it after 3 cans.

The madness of the 1st trimester.
