I thought I'd start a thread for all of us who worship at the shrine of Toni Weschler, spend whole seconds analysing cervical mucus, slip over in the shower checking cervical position and spend two minutes every morning flicking their heads from side to side in a valiant attempt to stop a baby pulling the thermometer out of their mouths. Ladies, this thread is for all of us, may it see many many BFPs!

Congrats Spilt Come to my antenatal thread!!!!

hippychick66 · 24/06/2010 18:50

I know what you mean. the sore boobs etc are great when you need them but rubbish when you don't.

This week I've had morning nausea and period pains at the same time - that is a right bowl of crap I can tell you. I just kept thinking, "OK Nausea you can sod off now!"

Very detailed stats - well done.

I must have already forgotten who that person changed to - I thought it was still a hot drink. Oh Shush Hippy you're probably blowing her cover.

LittleSilver · 24/06/2010 20:38

Oh poor old you hippy. That's so not fair!

For StatsMeister I was 2 months ttc.

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 24/06/2010 20:44

I think if everyone who is discussing ttc on MN saw this thread they would defo start charting. silver took 2 months, i took 3 months (I know it hasn't worked out but it is still pretty darn quick to conceive)

I think it just makes you feel very in control. If we go for 3rd time lucky I will be charting again (but the old fashioned way with pencil and paper - ha ha).

Wow, spilt that is fantastic news! Charting is definately the way to go, judging by this thread.

hippy, glad that you're still doing okay. Symptoms of pregnancy whilst going through a MC are a great big kick in the teeth Hope the pain doen't get too bad. And, I for one am pleased that you're hanging around

For StatsMeister, I was TTC from January - but missed ovulation in January, then had anovulatory cycle in February, then DH was away at the crucial time in April - so that was 6 months, but only 3 decent cycles IYSWIM. So, 6 months or maybe 3. Okay, I'll shut up now

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 21:06

You're right hippy, I think charting has saved us all a few months, there's been a lot of very quick conceptions (not that it felt like it beforehand!)

Hope the sickness subsides asap for you, could it be anxiety/stress as much as anything? I have always had nausea when stressed, since age 10. Can be very debilitating for e.g. when buying our house I was a total mess and couldn't get out of bed until 9.30 most mornings because of the sickness. PITA. Thank God I could just swan into the lab at 10.15 and make up the time later!

B I'm already there!

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 21:11

Will update BV and then we are all up to date ready for the next person to add themselves. Actually I reckon cycles is a much better measure than months. Luck all!

hippychick66 · 24/06/2010 21:28

Quick question for you girls. I asked my mates on the over 40 thread but they haven't answered me yet (they obviously just don't care if this poor old Hippy dies!)

I have been having shooting pains mostly in my legs since the night before the bleeding started. It's like pins and needles only stonger/sharper.

Is it to do with the MC or something separate.

I am now becoming paranoid that i'm gonna die of deep vein thrombosis or the like.

Could it be that sticky blood thing?

I know you'll say ask my GP and i definitely will when i see her on Tuesday but i am a bit loopy and keep thinking the worst .

BabyValentine · 24/06/2010 22:17

Hi hippy. I'm no expert, but I doubt very much that it has anything to do with the MC. Have you ever had sciatica before? That usually causes pain, pins & needles, numbness etc. usually on one side only. Never had it myself, but pins & needles sounds like some kind of nerve problem to me. I bet it disappears in a day or two - don't be paranoid about DVT. You don't have any risk factors do you - recent operation, inactivity, overweight, smoking, air travel etc. Or are you flying off to the Maldives for your recuperation and haven't told us

Danilou22 · 24/06/2010 22:27

Congratulations Split!!

Hippy I second babyV I am sure you are fine. Have heard about leg pain with eptopic pregnancy but you have had a scan so know it is not that. I am sure you will be fine x

Not much to tell here. Only that my temps are still low but not as varied and jumpy. I was taking EPO for the first time this month until I thought I had ovulated and then i stopped and now everything seems to be regulating

All these BFP's are very enouraging and are encouraging me to keep charting

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 22:28

If you're worried you can always call NHS direct and see what they say? Also no clue I'm afraid but hoping it just goes away.

8rubberduckies · 25/06/2010 12:55

Hi all, good to hear about some BFPs on here and on the March bus too.

I am very, very confused as on CD28 and don't think I've OVd yet, but started spotting. I feel really hormonal and emotional and am getting some cramps, but nothing like AF cramps, do you think I'm spotting because I'm OVing? I've never spotted when OVing before, so maybe the Metformin and the Agnus Castus are doing their thing (although only been taking Agnus Castus a few days. My temps were all over the place this cycle until cd24, and for the last four days have been flatlining at 37 degrees. My chart looks nothing like last cycle's. It's all so much more complicated than I thought it would be...

chocciechip · 25/06/2010 13:22

Hippy sorry, only just seen your post. I haven't experienced that in MC. My guess (and it's just a guess!) is that you're anaemic. It wouldn't be odd that you are after having a MC. I suggest you go to your GP and ask for bloods. Hope you feel better soon. x

rubberduckies Do you chart on FF? If so you can anonymously share a link to your chart homepage (if you want) for us to pour over and have a look at with you? I don't think it's unusual for some woman to have spotting during ovulation - I don't but I have heard of it.

So nice to see all the BFPs. Hope this doens't sound mean but I wish charting would kick in for me too ... I'm now in my fifth cycle of TTC since my last MC.

8rubberduckies · 25/06/2010 13:39

Hi chocciechip I am on FF yes, I will read back over this thread in a bit more details and get the instructions on how to link my homepage to you and you can all pull apart my chart and tell me I am doing it all wrong support me and tell me it's really not that bizarre

8rubberduckies · 25/06/2010 13:53

Have I done it right I wonder?

my charts

8rubberduckies · 25/06/2010 13:55

No I did it wrong!!! . Now, this should work!

chocciechip · 25/06/2010 14:20

duckies You've got the right link, but nothing is displaying except your name. I've checked my FF homepage settings and I have 'auto update' checked on my chart settings ... have you got the right boxes checked on the settings page to ensure your current chart is being displayed? My page looks like this.

chocciechip · 25/06/2010 14:22

... there's also an option at bottom of page to select the charts you want to display ... that might be where you need to set it. Not sure what I did now?

8rubberduckies · 25/06/2010 14:27

chocciechipI've added my charts now, thanks for that! I am IT inept.

chocciechip · 25/06/2010 16:27

This is very speculative duckies (I'm no expert!) but if it were my chart this is what I'd be thinking. First, I would ignore the temps during AF because those can be high anyway. So I would guess CD8 marks beginning of your temps for the first half of your cycle.

I see from your previous chart FF gave you a coverline at 35.85'C. Your coverline for this one might be at just above 35.9. But you don't have a pattern of at least three temps higher than that at any stage so I dont think you can assume ovulation from that basis. Besides, coverlines are totally meaningless really and can change from month to month.

Also I did a quick google for "normal" temps in phases of cycles and first, there is no such thing, but they are apparently typically between 36.1C and 36.4C. Yours are still within that level.

Plus, you have had no EWCM yet ... so... so my guess is you haven't ovulated yet and what you're looking at is lots of spikes in the first half of your cycle.

The absence of EWCM is the biggie I think. I see you started getting EWCM around CD28 in your previous cycle so it may well be you're heading for that stage now (fingers crossed that you are).

If instead you started AF then it might be an annovulatory cycle, but I think its too early by your dates and history to start thinking like that. If I were you, I'd be thinking ovulation is still heading my way .... which is what you were thinking, weren't you .

spilttheteaagain · 25/06/2010 16:49

Wow choccie you're good at this! What you say makes a lot of sense, let us know how you get on 8rubberduckies, EWCM or AF in the next few days? Good luck

hippychick66 · 25/06/2010 16:53

chocciechip you sound very knowledgable. Clever old you.

ducky I had spotting when i ovulated first proper cycle after my MMC. I have never had it before or since but it is supposed to be a sign that you're very fertile so lets hope it is ovulation spotting.

Good luck.

I have a scan on Monday to check if i have anything left in 'there' that needn't be there and then a follow up with GP on Tuesday to discuss how we are gonna get a decent egg out of this old chicken.

Will update you all next week.

Enjoy the sunshine. Take care those who are preggers.

Come on England!

LittleSilver · 25/06/2010 19:01

Oooh hips, does that mean you are (possibly) thinking about getting back on the charting rollercoaster? I nearly asked last nigth but thought it was a bit personal, so forgive me if it is. Fingers crossed for Mon.

theteasonme · 26/06/2010 17:47

Hi ladies, defo no BFP for me yet but those stats are giving me hope - I'm the only 'original' member who hasn't got a BFP yet but the best thing come to those who wait eh?!

You were the 600th post LS a landmark indeed.

My temp went up this am (CD20) but I'm not sure I've ov'd yet - it might be because I took it an hour later than usual so I'm going to wait to get three high temps in a row to be sure one way or the other.

Are we all enjoying the weather? Hope you're ok Hippy xxxxx
