I thought I'd start a thread for all of us who worship at the shrine of Toni Weschler, spend whole seconds analysing cervical mucus, slip over in the shower checking cervical position and spend two minutes every morning flicking their heads from side to side in a valiant attempt to stop a baby pulling the thermometer out of their mouths. Ladies, this thread is for all of us, may it see many many BFPs!

hippy please do stay with us even if you need to take a break from charting/trying etc. It's a nice little group here. I for one like the smaller slower threads, it's easier to keep track of people! Some of the conception/pg threads have about 70 people on... I would be so confused

Not sure who asked but this month I have been taking EPO (1500mg/day until ovulation) and Tescos Vit B complex (includes 2mg Vit B6) in an attempt to stretch the luteal phase. However if I do get a BFP then I'll have no idea if it made any difference!

DH has been on zinc, vit C and folic acid for about 2 months now as well so that may be having an effect.

silver, I think i will cave and test tomorrow morning. Scared though. I don't want a blank stick... if only they had a way to say "definitely +", "definitely -" or "inconclusive, try again tomorrow".

My tests say they have a cut off of 10miu/mL for HCG. That's quite sensitive isn't it?

I did mean to wait longer but I am obsessed and desperately impatient

Danilou22 · 23/06/2010 20:06

Evening all.

Well I am currently out in the garden with a glass of wine!! Temp was still down this morning and FF has now changed my chart and has not detected ovulation (sorry can't remember who asked but it was FF that marked the ov day)

Sorry to moan as I know people have much worse but I am gutted! I just want to be normal, whatever that may be!

Have very odd PG symptoms over the last week or so which are not helping, I am feeling sick esp in am and have been so dizzy I have thought I am going to faint a couple of times, my boobs seem to have swollen (although they are huge any way!)and seem to have more veins and to top it all off I have cried at the most pathetic of things today!!

Just want my scan date to come through!!

Sorry everyone, just wanted to unload a bit

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 20:11

Oh Dani , I'm sorry you're struggling. Not really got anything useful to add, but didn't want you to be unanswered. Are you expecting to hear about your scan imminently or is that in the lap of the gods?

Danilou22 · 23/06/2010 20:13

waiting for an appointment

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 20:22

I found a game you can play on FF here

Shows how different people's charts can look... I wasn't great a spotting ovulation day!

Danilou22 · 23/06/2010 20:27

Just had a go! I wasn't very good at getting the exact day but near!!

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 20:36

I was amazed at how different the charts were. And kept thinking how creepy it would be if one of mine popped up... if I recognised it that is!

Danilou22 · 23/06/2010 20:38

I think I would start to worry if I actually recognised one of my charts! I would need o get a new hobby!

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 20:43

Well yes, we probably all do. But TTC sucks you in...

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 20:46

That said, I am going to go and water my strawberries so I can say I have not just sat on MN/FF all evening. It was a nice sunny one as well!

Danilou22 · 23/06/2010 20:46

Hopefully I will either ovulate soon or get whatever it is you get on an anovulatory cycle so I can start to feel better about charting again

hippychick66 · 23/06/2010 21:51

I got 25% for 20 charts - rubbish score. However I was guessing quite a lot and there was nothing much riding on the outcome.

I was often 1 day out as well so if it where my own chart it would be ok cos I'd hve done the deed every other day around that time.

WHAT AM I DOING??????

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 22:00

Oh hippy

Must Try Harder

spilttheteaagain · 23/06/2010 22:01

(I had two goes and improved, I guess it's practice)

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 07:14

LittleSilver · 24/06/2010 08:02

YAY SPILT!!!!!!!!!!!

LittleSilver · 24/06/2010 08:17

OP posts:
theteasonme · 24/06/2010 08:41

Oooh yaaay!! Another BFP, that's fab news spilt congratulations!

I am indeed waiting for the arrival of my IO clothes - I'm possibly more excited about the 'luxurious wrapping' than the tops themselves!

xx

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 08:59

Ah that makes sense, what have you bought teasonme ?

chocciechip · 24/06/2010 12:31

Congrats spilt!!! So nice to have seen a chart in action, so to speak!

dani I had another look at your chart then went off to try and find as similar as possible an example in TCOYF -apologies if you have already gone through this.

Weschler has some troubleshooting tips for charts where it is hard to see ovulation. Including: 1/change the battery in your digital thermometer (it might not be working properly) 2/ If that doesn't work, maybe try using a glass thermometer which apparently can be more accurate for some people 3/ Take temps vaginally - most accurate method. She also stresses importance of taking them at same time every day and after 3 hours sleep.

Maybe, if you are struggling to get the three hours sleep you could try 'adjusting' the temps using her directions ... i.e. reducing the temp by a bit for every half hour of sleep you don't get etc. It might be best to switch to a farenheit thermometer for this so you can follow her tips closely (I temp in farenheit but convert to celsuis ... but only because I stupidly bought the wrong thermometer off amazon ).

I only got 65% for that test. Some of the ones I think I would have instinctively got right I went and changed my mind on. Good thing FF decides when I ovulate!

hippychick66 · 24/06/2010 12:37

I think you should have a list of successes (best leave me off !). So if people have a quick browse at this thread they can see how bloody good charting is.

Also would be nice to see who is due when. Especially as you all keep changing your names (just to confuse this old bird!)

Someone (DG I think) asked for a reflexologist up norff, but am I right in thinking she now has a BFP. (See how confused I am!!!)

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 15:15

Alright then hippy, Current Graduates:

LittleSilver, DC4, months TTC?, BFP 08/06/2010 at 14DPO, EDD 16th Feb 2011
BabyValentine, DC2, months TTC?, BFP 10/06/2010 at 18DPO (nerves of steel!), EDD 13th Feb 2011
BUnderTheBonnet, DC2, months TTC?, BFP 20/06/2010 at 12DPO, EDD 1st Mar 2011
Spilt, DC1, months TTC 3, BFP 24/06/2010 at 13DPO, EDD 4th Mar 2011

(some details missing, but I think I found everyone... apologies if I missed someone off)

I don't think DG has her BFP yet so is probably still interested in the reflexologist (DG you can stay in hiding!)

spilttheteaagain · 24/06/2010 15:18

My boobs hurt

I was desperate for sore boobs yesterday because it would have been a sign, but now I have a line they can feck right off!
