Emma Good that you got the POAS out of your system for the time being I have five more days to go and not much to distract -- so it's kinda foggy in my head right now.

Way to go on your weight loss - I am sure you'll reach your goal BMI soon. I am currently 29 and hoping to get to 25 by end of the summer.

MountTheFairy · 14/04/2010 08:48

Mornin'. Gotta run but just wanted ask Emma how. HOW? HOW? I want to loose a stone and it is proving very difficult.

As for your BFN, I am sorry, but as you know it's a bit early to test... So I do not think we are taking you out of the running just yet!

rosieposey · 14/04/2010 08:53

Well no on my clearblue opk this morning again so it looks like it wont be my month,I think that my cycles are too short to ovulate now - as the clearblue doesnt say that you are ovulating it says that you are ABOUT to ovulate so based on that i would have to assume that even if i got a tomorrow that i wouldnt ovulate till day 18 or 19 which would give me a very short luteal phase Maybe im not Ov'ing because of the chem pg last month, i dont know.

Anyway hope everyone else is doing ok Emma good luck for testing in a couple of days!

crumblequeen · 14/04/2010 09:54

Welcome lemons yes I always use jumbo oats for yummy crunch! Not many weekends pass by without crumble in our house!! Love rhubarb too.

Good luck for marathon - I did a 10k a couple of weeks ago which is obviously nothing compared to marathon but was my first proper race!

Nanny01 · 14/04/2010 11:58

Congrats emma I did wonder if you were from what you said earlier.
I am going back to the gym after the school holidays, my little ds will be starting nursery so no excuses now. I am at my heaviest but still concieved last time when I was only a stone lighter. I think cerezzete screwed up my system longer than I thourght. HAve no intentions to tell the doctor we are ttc as they would throw a fit at the fat woman so still collecting my perscriptions. I have heard it can take a while for this particular one to come out of your system so though this is our 5 month of ttc I feel we have only had 3 months as it took 6 weeks to get af back. WHat was your experiences of coming off the birth control?

ImpatientHove · 14/04/2010 12:29

Hi everyone - thank you for all your congratulations!

Went and bought some OPKs yesterday - bargain - 2 for the price of one in Superdrug!

Good luck for the marathon - I live in Brighton and will be spectating. It's a boring route though so take your ipod!!

Nanny when I came off the pill last time I conceived first month but am waiting to see what my cycle is like this time round. I barely had af for the 3 years after my dd was born and since then have been on the pill. Who knows!

Bensmum76 · 14/04/2010 13:11

Nanny, when i came off the pill i got pregnant straight away with my first son. THis time I came off the pill in Feb, and was then four weeks late for my period, am hoping this won't happen again this time! Feel like I missed one month's trying as didn't get period for two months!!

LadyBuzz · 14/04/2010 14:11

I am def def not pg, i tested again this morning first thing and got a BFN just waiting for AF to kick in now.
Not due til Saturday but surely it would have showed by now? it was one of those early ones.

Fingers still crossed for you Emma

Nanny01 · 14/04/2010 14:51

I was on the mini pill this particular was ment to be really effective which is great when you son't want to be pregnant but not when you do. Dh and I wanted to space the younger ones out as we didn't want to feel to stresed like we did between our 2nd and 3rd children who were 22 months apart, sort of wishing we had started at the begining of last year rather at the end. Feeling lost with out the pushchair though my little ds is loving it.

Still January would be good for me if we get a positive test. Trying to keep positive.

ImpatientHove · 14/04/2010 14:58

LadyBuzz - some people don't get a BFP until the date af is actually due. You still have 3 days so you def still have a chance. Fingers crossed.

I got a positive OPK today so DH is in luck (again!) tonight

lucybrad · 14/04/2010 16:17

rosie I still think you may end up with a really long cycle because of the chem pg last month. It does make sense - keep trying.

rosieposey · 14/04/2010 16:26

Lucybrad you are right, its weird because after DS i had 28/29 day cycles and recently they have been getting longer - 30 days ish and obviously because of the chem pg it was about 31/32 this month just gone.

Good news though - i have had niggly period type pains for the last hour or so so did an internet cheapy (which i usually do late afternoon anyway just incase the clearblue misses as i test quite early) and the second line looked nearly as strong as the first - in the instructions it says nearly equal or greater intensity so nearly equal was good enough for me.

I also did a clearblue digi as back up and i got the so yippee! it seems like i might be ov'ing in the next few hours or day - SWI'ed this morning and will do tomorrow morning (there is never enough darn time in the evenings!!) so you never know... it was quite late for surge this month though will have 11 day luteal phase which should be ok i think.

LadyBuzz · 14/04/2010 16:35

Good Luck rosie Impatient lucky DH

I am putting it to the back of my mind (or trying to ) until Saturday or Sunday.
I have never tested early before so I will look on the positive side!

debka · 14/04/2010 17:15

I will test on 24th April if no AF by then. This would be day 30 for me, but not sure whether I ovulated this month (first since coil removal) as had no obvious signs like I usually do.

What happens if you have an anovulatory month, is there no telling how long it will be before AF comes?

Lou

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 14/04/2010 20:11

debka I got pg in end of Feb - before losing the pregnancy and found that I was absolutley shattered the week before AF was due. I was also off my food that week, which isn't like me at all so had an inckling but didnt actually feel sick (apparently that doesnt happen till about week 6)
I also began getting cramps a few days before I was due on (which is pretty normal) but they then just became sensations/fluttering off & on.

Remain positive, wishing you loads of luck

debka · 14/04/2010 20:48

Thanks ifatfirst, i think it may be a bit early unless something v odd is going on, today is only day 15!! Just feel incredibly tired and fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon, v unlike me! Best of luck to you too

MountTheFairy · 14/04/2010 21:15

Hello ladies, well, like rosie OV is being a bit elusive this month. Pretty much my last chance for the OPK is tomorrow, after that luteal phase would be too short. Well, tomorrow would give me only 10 days, but I think that's a bare minimum! I read somewhere that your luteal phase always stays the same, but mine definitely changed. I remember trying with the OPK's about 1.5 years ago (when I thought of TTC first, oh how I wish we stuck to it then) and I was a textbook case: 28 day cycle with OV on day 14. In the last few cycles I have definitely been on the 10 - 12 days mark for the luteal phase. I am wondering why it changed. This is why I am thinking of my weight: it is the only thing that changed since then apart from obviously getting older. Since then I have gained 2 stone, but now lost one (or something around that). Any experience anyone with luteal phase changes?

Oh, Lou, I think I had an anovulatory cycle a couple of cycles back and it was a 23 day cycle, which is very, very short for me!

So if I ever ovulate I am planning to test on the 27th. I am happy to add those dates to the stats. Would it be rude to ask ladies for their age as well? I thought it would not be TOO rude, given it's anonymous!

I have witten an essay, haven't I? Sorry!

MountTheFairy · 14/04/2010 21:17

Oh, I think I somehow gained a day in the stats. Did anyone else? I am happy to update them if everyone thinks they may have accidentally gained a day.

debka · 14/04/2010 21:20

yes i think i gained a day but i am v v stupid with numbers so it may well be correct!!

PS why does it matter if your luteal phase is short?

MountTheFairy · 14/04/2010 21:24

Apparently it does not give the fertilised egg (if it is fertilised) enough time to attach itself to your womb and it may get washed out with your period before your body gets the signal not to "flush". It only gets that signal once the egg has attached... Insert a disclaimer here about me being nowhere close to a health professional!
