Hi everyone,

OV calc says due date would be 31st Dec but didn't want to be on my own at the bottom of the Dec bus. Am on cycle 3 of proper trying as dp not been as willing to DTD knowing he HAS to impregnate me .
Hope someone hops on to keep me company soon

MountTheFairy i absolutely would not advocate getting pg at this BMI but i have been this weight for many years and am ttc #5. Unlike debka my glucose isnt that great as i have diabetes (even before i was diagnosed with type 2 i had it in gestational form in all of my pgs) but my specialist who took care of me in my last pg said that as long as my blood sugars were stable and i take 12 times the folic acid than the normal dose it should be fine with this pg that i am planning, obviously he would like to see me at the optimal healthy weight but i have tried and tried and made up my mind a few years ago that i wouldnt beat myself up about it.

If i was able to loose the weight easily i would have by now (im 38) but 8 years ago i stopped yo-yo dieting, found a man who fancies the pants off me as i am and am enjoying ttc #5

MountTheFairy I actually agree with your doctor that being bigger can hinder your chances of ttc but i personally and alot of other big girls (one of my friends is on her second baby in 3 years and as far as i know weight approx 26 stone) that i know have fallen pg and had no problems in their pgs at all (for instance i had no high bp which you would expect for someone like me until about 36 weeks) infact i was probably more healthy in my pregnancies than at any other time. Like i said i dont not think its a great idea to get pregnant if you are unhealthy but hey, it happens.

God i hope this is a lucky bus for all of us, keep getting a feeling that i really am not going to ovulate this month (just because of last month i suppose) if i dont tomorrow then i will start to lose hope as i only have a couple of days after that to get LH surge (assuming it takes a day or two to ovulate after that) before i will have a too short luetal phase.

brilaunt · 12/04/2010 21:12

Hi mount, you seem to be at a very healthy weight but maybe that last push will do it for you? I just want to get my body in order and hope it works! Thanks for the info... my details are...

TTC#1, cycle 12, ucl 28-47,cd10... Does this look okay?I guess i'm too late to start temping? That starts on Day 1 doesn't it? Definately not taking part in OPKs this month but may keep an eye on CM... Any advice anyone? Thanks for having me on this bus!!! I have my fingers crossed for you all... It's really comforting having others in the same boat to talk to. BA.x

mummychicken · 12/04/2010 21:16

Just had some EWCM - only on cd10, so I've had a shower, shaved the necessary bits and now waiting for DH to get home. Poor boy is not going to know what has hit him over the next few days!
Wish me luck ladies.....I'm going in......

PS sorry to lower the tone on an otherwise quite serious and thoughful thread

MountTheFairy · 12/04/2010 21:18

Ha, ha, go for it mummychicken, I am right behind you!

MountTheFairy · 12/04/2010 21:38

Added you Brilaunt. I think you can start charting whenever really, but I'll probably wait.

mummychicken · 12/04/2010 21:48

This is my first time on a bus - and dare I make a suggestion?

The stats are really interesting but me-of-little-brain finds it quite hard to work it out ata glance. Can I suggest an addition? A date that we will wee-on-a-stick and definitely know we're pg. (Not early testing) e.g for me I intend to wee-on-a-stick on day 33 as my cycle is 32 days max. so my date would be

Mummychicken 6 May

That way I can see a bit more clearly who is ahead/behind me. I will quite happily update it and even put it in chronilogical order ( i'm a bit OCD about stuff like that)

PS DH home now - in bath - it had better not be too hot!!!!

UmBongo · 12/04/2010 21:57

Go run cold water in his bath Mummychicken - that will cool his goolies and also require you to warm him up again!!! Enjoy

I am not on this bus, but soon will be, cheerio for now!

CD15 for me and still no on opk so tomorrow is the latest i think i can ovulate (or have done so previously) and i run out of sticks the day after that so its starting to look like it might well be an anovulatory month for me

Mummychicken hope you had fun last night Im in for putting test dates if everyone else is - mind you when i put my test date as 29th of April it seems bloody miles away!

emma2617 · 13/04/2010 09:02

Morning ladies....well I wrote what was verging on a thesis last night using my phone and then it wouldn't bloody load! My thumbs are killing me!

I am CD 22 and 7 DPO...boy this is dragging! I do however FEEL pregnant!! I am soooo tired which was my first symptom with DS, lack of concentration and feeling distant, I really hope I have been lucky this month, I know its only cycle 1 but I am aching for a baby, I really feel for everyone who has been trying for much longer and am sorry to be whinging at this stage...my heart is seriously aching for another child.

Only 2 more mornings to get through without testing although I am pretty convinced that even if I am pg it will be BFN as it took ages to get BFP with DS! But it will at least fulfil my desire to POAS!

Hope everyone is doing well...whether it be resisting to test, SWIing or desperately waiting to ov!!!

HongKongBaby · 13/04/2010 12:07

Is there room on the bus for me?? Would be glad of some support during this TTC madness. The next week will be serious SWI'ing for me, well trying to exhaustion allowing anyway!

HongKongBaby TTC#2, cycle4, UCL38, CD21

My test day would be 3 May....

womanlytales · 13/04/2010 12:07

Happy to add a test date to my listing too if needed - and will try my best to stick to it.
Plan to test on Day 29 which is April 19. AF is expected on Day 28.
Am full of sobering thoughts this week...

ImpatientHove · 13/04/2010 12:18

Hi ladies - well I did post very early on this thread and have since got married and been on a honeymoon. Now on CD18 with no idea whether I have ov or not but have been SWI every day for the past 2 weeks. My cycles have been all over the place in the past so really don't know when to expect af / test etc.

Emma sounds very promising if you have symptoms - fingers crossed!

Mummychicken I will probably try to hold off testing until 27th April which will be cd32 for me..

crumblequeen · 13/04/2010 12:39

ImpatientHove congratulations on getting married! Where did you go on honeymoon?

Mummychicken I think I am going to test on 19 April too same as womanlytales. Not sure what cycle length will be as this is first month after stopping pill but that is CD30. I feel completely normal at the moment - neither pregnant or due for AF so there may still be a chance!

ImpatientHove · 13/04/2010 12:49

Thank you Crumble. We went to Jamaica and it was abolsutely lovely . Back at work today though.... aaargh... obviously I am feeling highly motivated

emma2617 · 13/04/2010 14:35

impatient congrats! Going back to work is rubbish! I am really hoping to be lucky but we will see!

I have almost convinced myself to test tonight I am such a fool as now I will have to! Realistic test date is 21st April but I think I will be testing on 13th and 16th as well! Oh well the tets I use are only £3.60 for 2 so it's not a fortune! I only use a CB a day or 2 after a BFP on a normal test as they are so expensive....but seeing the word "pregnant" is the best feeling ever!!

That's me anyway.....just trying not to pee now until I get home, not been since 1pm and won't get home until 6pm so that should be a pretty good sample!

ImpatientHove · 13/04/2010 15:50

Good luck then Emma - post and let us know the result - Fingers crossed.

I am debating with myself whether to go and buy any OPKs or whether it is too late in my cycle - I do know I used to ov late though so maybe.... hmmm...

lucybrad · 13/04/2010 16:31

rosie dont count on the opk's, they may be wrong! Once I was stressed at ov time and it put the ov to day 20ish and the subsequent AF came on day 36! I was convinced i was pg....but sadly not.

My news is that ewcm has dried up now but we shall carry on cd16, 18 and 20 to be safe. Im on hols for test time without computer or DH.

I WANNA BE PREGNAAAAAAAAAAAANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prinpo · 13/04/2010 17:11

Hello all,

Been away for a few days so just been reading through the thread and catching up on news. Impatient, congratulations on getting married. Our first was a honeymoon baby so fingers crossed for you.

In terms of BMI and conceiving, my understanding was that weight was an issue only if it affected your ovulation. Obviously, the pregnancy itself may be more complicated if you're overweight but I thought it only affected your chance of getting pregnant if it messed up your ovulation. I'm a pretty hefty size 18 and I ovulate regularly every month. Rosieposey, I love your attitude and second it wholeheartedly.

Had to laugh at the image of menfolk making their way home, oblivious to the intentions of their shower-fresh and depilated partners. Happy SWIing, everyone.

brilaunt · 13/04/2010 18:35

Hi all, could someone tell me if I need to do the updating, I still dont really understand? Thanks

LadyBuzz · 13/04/2010 19:10

Congratulations impatient

I don't think I am pg, I caved in today anf tested, I think I am 10 days DPO and it was a BFN.
Also I am very very grumpy and have the sciatica type pains that normal come with AF. I'm still keeping everything crossed that it was too early and it will still be BFP.

emma how are you holding up?

I'm finding this all quite odd, I have never had a problem before and i'm not used to this. I too feel awful saying it when others have been trying much longer!

Fingers crossed for all of us.

womanlytales · 13/04/2010 19:17

Best of luck Emma Post when you know.

Hello Crumblequeen (if this is based on truth do you use Oats? There is some lovely rhubarb around at the moment) and Womanlytales.

First time on this thread and due to test on 19 April too... TTC#1, CYC 2, UCL, CD24.

However am running (running, walking, crawling) in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday so AF might be late.

emma2617 · 14/04/2010 08:28

Morning ladies! Well I tested and shock horror it was BFN!! Not a surprise considering I'm only 7DPO but I have got the need to POAS out of my system....for the time being anyway!

I am on a training course for the next 2 days so that will be a good distraction!

Hope everyone is still going strong! I got weighed at Slimming World last night and have lost another 3.5lb! For those concerned about weight I got pregnant with DS with a BMI of approx 33/34 and since having him have lost 3 stone with a BMI of approx 27, just need to shift another 2 stone to hit that ellusive 24.9 to be classed a "normal"!!
