Hi everyone,

OV calc says due date would be 31st Dec but didn't want to be on my own at the bottom of the Dec bus. Am on cycle 3 of proper trying as dp not been as willing to DTD knowing he HAS to impregnate me .
Hope someone hops on to keep me company soon

Just updating, I had put cycle 1 instead of 3

Thanks for clarifying rosieposie It is nicer then BD!

I'm not thinking too much about that part at the moment, just holding out for next Saturday, I have an abundance of early pg tests donated by a pg friend that I am trying to keep away from

Rosie I have to say your method of every day for a week or so is actually what seems to suit me and my body, but as I haven't exactly been successful so far I thought I should change my strategy and go for every other day and start earlier... Oh who knows, it's all shooting in the dark. For me at least.

Welcome chico.

brilaunt · 11/04/2010 21:22

Hi girls, I'm about to start charting too, trying for 11 months. Have mild PCOS but have gradually lowered my BMI from a whopping 35 to 30 - next step 25 aRRGGHHHH! Can I jump on your bus, although dont know how it works?! Have used OPK for few months, but they are a drama in themselves for me... So before any medical intervention, I want to start charting CM, temps and carry on losing weight! I would love to have some company on here if you will have me?xxxxx

Hi can i join please :-)

I was on the Nov bus, got BFP but unfortunetly had a early MC.

Im due on this week so going to have a break and start after next cycle which said due date for Jan.

TTC# 3, CYCLE 1(post MC), ucl 27-28.

debka · 11/04/2010 21:46

Hey ladies, can I jump on the bus too please?
Just decided to start TTC no2, fell pg with DD by mistake despite PCOS so have high hopes this time round (please don't remind me when I'm on the January bus next year!). DH has been ill and mildly depressed and totally off sex for months, but managed to jump him last night , hoping to repeat tonight or tomorrow.
I would cut and paste but I am too stupid to do it- can someone add me on please

Hi brilaunt. Well done on your weight loss. I am trying to get down to 25 myself, although I am not that far, at 26. That last point seems to be quite elusive though! My doctor, however says that it can make a lot of difference.

Welcome on board. Give us your TTC# (number of children you already have and which you are trying to conceive. Ie. I am TTC 1: I have no children, trying to conceive my first.) You are on cycle 12 now? UCL (usual cycle length) and CD (cycle day you are on today).

mumsie123 · 11/04/2010 21:51

hope i have done that right

x

debka · 11/04/2010 21:54

Does your BMI really make a huge difference? Mine is 40 , but despite PCOS my periods are very regular and as I said I fell pg with DD without even trying.

rosieposey · 11/04/2010 22:22

Mine is 40 too debka, i dont have pcos but i know its not ideal for getting pg - i am hoping i dont have too many problems this time - i have conceived 3 times in 2.5 years so thats not too bad i suppose given that im 38 too.

emma2617 · 12/04/2010 10:43

Morning ladies!! Well CD21 and I still haven't tested, I am so proud! I think it's a lot easier not to test this time round as I am working full time, have a 13 months old and am just starting up my 2nd job as a slimming world consultant so the only down time I get to dwell on it is when I'm bored at work...and the HPT is at home! Only problem is I work 2 mins from trafford centre so could easily go to Boots and buy one, but I will stay strong! AF is due 1 week tomorrow, this is going to be the longest weeks! Especially surrounded by three...yes THREE....pregnant people on my team at work (and there are only 18 people on my team, 5 of which are men!!) so 23% of my female colleagues are pregnant...nightmare when your TTC! I just hope I bump it up next week!

Hope everyone is doing well and the SWIing is happening with avengence! By the way, I had no idea what SWI meant and was happily saying BD...why did no-one tell me?! I do have a contrary opinion though, I think that BDing is sweet!! But then to me "shagging" is so crude!!!!!!

Bit of an update, apart from tiredness, snapiness and being short tempered I have no symptoms I could so with something right about now as I am starting to think that I've not been lucky this time. On the upside my next 2 fertile times are the next 2 bank holidays so it will be less difficult to fit the SWI in!!

QUESTION In all seriousness, how early would you test? And I mean to seriously expect a positive result if you were pregnant, not just because we are going insane during the 2WW!! I am desperate to wait until AF is due but thinking of testing on Friday which is 10 DPO and 4 days before AF is due. Would you do the same?

Hi emma yes I would wait till Friday(except if i have internet cheapies I cant resist testing everyday from 22 lol)

lucybrad · 12/04/2010 11:44

mount I know its sounds silly, but I figure that starting at day 7 im kinda building up stocks so to speak , but i agree that i definataly feel more up for it on some days than others. For me I dont really fancy it at all after about day 15 but I wonder if this is pscycosomatic (sp) as in my mind i must have already ov'd by then.

Any way its day 14 today and i just found some ewcm again so i am hoping that at least this shows i am relatively fertile. I have doubts over my egg quality thou, as im an old bird in ttc terms.

BrassicaBabe · 12/04/2010 11:53

rosieposey · 12/04/2010 13:50

Emma2617 I got a faint positive 8dpo last month and the next day but then started to get negs as the pg obviously didnt take - that is the earliest i have ever tested and the earliest i have ever got a positive. I would really suggest waiting until your at least 10dpo though as it depends on when you ovulated, how long the fertilised egg took to implant ect ect, it takes approximately 48 hours for the hcg to show up in your urine from the time the egg implanted so if you said it was roughly a 6 day journey down your tubes and then two days for implantation to get hcg into your system then 8 days is probably the earliest you can test (i had a very very concentrated 8 hour sample that i had held off all day for). Its not written in stone though it can take longer or indeed a shorter amount of time for the eggs journey ect so just wait till at least 10dpo to test if i were you.

I definately wont be testing before then this month after last, just wish i had never known neither would i have if i hadnt tested so early.

Lucybrad no EWCM for me today and im on the same day as you, No on clearblue opk today either so am hoping that it happens tomorrow or its starting to look really late in my cycle as ov wont happen till at least a day after the positive opk, then ill be worrying about a short luetal phase. Fingers crossed i actually ovulate this month though!

kittycatcat · 12/04/2010 14:30

Hi all. I am CD31 today. Did a test sat which was 13 days PO but it was neg so i guess AF is on her way to get me . Cycle was only 29 days last month but 30 the month before...

Did you test yet Emma2617?

MountTheFairy · 12/04/2010 15:16

Sorry Kitty. Let us know... No for me yet either and I am out of OPK's. On order to come on Wednesday so I do not want to buy anymore. Will have to stab in the dark. Shock, horror! I have a feeling it will happen tomorrow (back pain, no EWCM yet though). Or I'll just buckle and get more OPK's on the way home...

debka · 12/04/2010 16:19

Thanks rosieposey, I am unconvinced that your BMI makes a huge difference, I think your general state of health is more significant (my BP, glucose etc were all perfect throughout pg and the birth was straightforward with only gas and air). Best of luck this month for you TTC!!

Nanny01 · 12/04/2010 16:26

Feel better as I can relax as we have no birthdays in january. Can't believe it's bee 5 months ttc already. Thank goodness we started as we were considering leaving it till next year. Dh isn't worried but I keep worrying things don't happen as quickly as they used to for me. I am trying to believe it will happen though.

womanlytales · 12/04/2010 17:51

Emma 2617 I am CD 22 and after a crabby day at work [abandoned post lunch] I pulled out the last remaining pregnancy test I have [It's a Boots one]. I was wondering if it would say when to test -- and predictably at the very top it said test the day after you expect your period.
So I put it back in a different drawer and willing myself to go back to 'normal'.
I am much saner now but tomorrow will be another crazy day. I must find something to keep me terribly busy else I am most certain I will go mad [all the while a part of my brain is screaming -- this is so silly - just let it happen...]

Bensmum76 · 12/04/2010 18:19

As last month I was four weeks late with my period and did two negative tests, one at two weeks late and one at four weeks late, I plan on leaving it this time as long as I can. Its always so disappointing to see that single line come up on the test that I don't know if I can bare it again this month. I think those of you who test lots must be so brave, or used to it???
My DH and I are currently SWIng every other day, and thankfully tonight is our night off as I have ironing to do and fancy an early night!!
I have my fingers crossed that this is a lucky bus for us all

MountTheFairy · 12/04/2010 18:44

debka, rosie, my doc said it did matter, even with my BMI of 26, but then I have no clue - I seem to be in good health (blood count, BP etc.) and still not getting up the duff, so you are doing a lot better so far with your BMI debka then me with mine. Saying that, the doc is very worried about my hubby being at BMI 35, both ferility wise and otherwise.

Louindevon · 12/04/2010 19:47

So CD17 for me and not sure that I have ovulated this month (1st since coil removal) and as we last BD on day 10 (trying for a girl), not feeling very hopeful of a positive. My ovulation is usually very obvious. Oh well, I guess only 1st month of trying!

I promised myself (and DH!) that I wouldn't obsessive about baby no3, but aarrgh!!
