Hi everyone,

OV calc says due date would be 31st Dec but didn't want to be on my own at the bottom of the Dec bus. Am on cycle 3 of proper trying as dp not been as willing to DTD knowing he HAS to impregnate me .
Hope someone hops on to keep me company soon

Haven't told mr chicken yet - quite happy to keep the news to myself (and you lot) for a little while

banana87 · 02/05/2010 09:11

Can I join?

CD1 today, so offically ttc number 2....eeek!

DD1 is 19 months old and took 1 month to concieve, although we had a mmc before her so I am quite nervous this time around (IF we get lucky again ).

Looking forward to getting to "know" you all and lots of babydust.

grumperina · 02/05/2010 10:58

Congratulations, Mummychicken!

I also did a test this morning... and got a BFP too! Totally in shock as we didn't expect it to work first cycle

LadyBuzz · 02/05/2010 11:21

Oh wow 2 BFP's Congratulations mummychicken & grumperina fantastic news, lets hope your good luck rubs off on a few more of us!

HongKongBaby · 02/05/2010 12:13

Yes congratulations mummychicken & grumperina that's brilliant news

Prinpo · 02/05/2010 12:17

Wow, grumperina, wonderful news!!! Congratulations.

Right, ladies, hope this is a good month for the rest of us. Let's have a few more BFPs before the week is through.

thirtyone · 02/05/2010 12:38

congrats to all the BFPs. Wishing you healthy and happy pregnancies. x

milanomum · 02/05/2010 13:46

Congratulations to all those BFPs!! I'm afraid I'm not a regular poster but I tested on Thursday morning with first response and got a BFN :-( but...I'm waiting for AF because I really have symptoms - or maybe it's my imagination!? Sore boobs, heightened sense of smell, gagging at toothbrushing... I'm very confused. I am not even sure if I ovd this month cos I didn't have the ususal soreness in my side... Only a day or two and I'll know I suppose but I think I'll be on the Feb bus.

On the point of sharing with dh - no way! We just agreed we'd try for no2 and that's it...he has no idea of dates or anything..which of course means he has no idea of the stress and worry I go through!

LucyHoneychurch · 02/05/2010 14:31

Congrats grumperina and mummychicken!

Let us know Mr Chicken's reaction!

womanlytales · 02/05/2010 14:44

Congrats mummychicken and grumperina - Best of luck to all the others trying this week and for those who got a BFN, I do hope Feb is your month.

mamaof1wantno2now · 02/05/2010 14:50

mummychicken · 02/05/2010 18:32

Thank you all.

Mr Chicken shed a tear when I told him! and said "Ithought you were". He could have told me then coz I've being going through hell!

I have no symptoms - but with DS, it took AF being a couple of weeks late before I started to wonder whether I was pg due to feeling sick and sore boobs. Mind you, things taste a bit strange but that could be due to a slight hangover from several glasses of wine last night - well I REALLY didn't think I was going to get a BFP!!!

Bensmum76 · 02/05/2010 18:46

Congratulations to our new BFP's. Lets hope there are many more of us!!!

evie2000 · 02/05/2010 19:39

hi there, I'm not on your list but I have been spying (sorry for that!) just wanted to say congratulations to those of you with BFPs - just the best feeling in the world, and damnit to those of you with BFN. It's a cruel world when you get that sort of news when our bodies are already at their lowest ebb.
I'm sitting on my hands to stop myself from testing - I'm day 28 of a cycle that ranges from 28-31 - keep reminding myself that letting nature take its course and seeing AF is a gentler way than that big NOT PREGNANT that you get but equally the test is burning a whole in my bathroom cupboard. It says you can test 4 days before you are due - anyone got experience of the reliability of that or do you still have to do another test when you are due if nothing shows up....in other words convince me not to wake up at 7am and poas tomorrow!!!

mummychicken · 02/05/2010 19:49

evie if you can hang on for another day, the accuracy goes upto 90 odd percent.

Good luck

Prinpo · 02/05/2010 20:25

Hello, evie the spy ,

No advice, but a test in the bathroom cupboard would be like a half-eaten twix in the fridge for me! Can you go and bury it in the garden for a couple of days?

mamaof1wantno2now · 02/05/2010 21:01

hi everyone hope everyones ok,
i'm due to test 2moro but have awful cramps in my stomach so unsure whether af is gonna show her ugly face,
my longest cycle takes me to tuesday but have been 31 days the last 3 months so thats tomorrow,
i have bought test strips off ebay but i have now read loads of bad about them so don't know if i should wait til tues to see if af shows up or not and then buy a proper test, even them i am not sure what test to buy as i don't know which is best,

evie2000 · 02/05/2010 21:16

thank you I'm going to try to be strong - another day is worth it isn't it! As for the cheapie tests I really don't know the answer I'm afraid - I bought the sainsburys own brand, two for £4.50 which I didn't think was too bad - not digital but who needs that - I want the most basic, surely it all tests the same thing or am I naive!
Anyway, the spy will sleep and try to avoid testing - thank you...
see you back here on tuesday morning when the 'half eaten twix' will have been munched for sure!

mamaof1wantno2now · 02/05/2010 21:44

good luck evie, hope u get ur bfp, fingers crossed for u ,

smallblackflowers · 03/05/2010 09:03

congrats to mummychicken and grumperina!

I'm off to the feb bus as AF arrived this morning. Good luck to everyone else!

evie2000 · 03/05/2010 10:02

Sorry to hear smallbf. I resisted testing this morning. Thank you all. Will see. Tomorrow is day 30 and may not be so easy! Enjoy the bank holiday

mamaof1wantno2now · 03/05/2010 10:12

sorry smallbf about ur af coming, good luck on the feb bus, i'll prob see u there,

i'm on cd 31 of a 30-32 normal cycle. i tested this morning & got a bfn, still have all my symptoms but still also have cramping like af, i got pos opks on cd18 &cd19 so don'y know if this is gonna change my cycle cos i have never ovulated that late b4, oh this whole ttc business is so confusing,
