Hi everyone,

OV calc says due date would be 31st Dec but didn't want to be on my own at the bottom of the Dec bus. Am on cycle 3 of proper trying as dp not been as willing to DTD knowing he HAS to impregnate me .
Hope someone hops on to keep me company soon

I want sore boobs too! When r u testing mummychicken? Anybody got any symptoms. I've had a few but then I had them last month and wasn't pregnant so trying to ignore them! I've decided to go to tesco tonight to get test then try and hold off until Saturday to do test as if I did it tomorrow morning dh is getting up early so if it was positive I would have to wait all day to the evening to tell him which I know would drive me mad!

womanlytales · 29/04/2010 14:00

my 2ww will start on Monday so still very much in the SWI mode though we're not able to do it every day [sorry about tmi]. Sometimes I feel inadequate but oh well k sera sera

Prinpo · 29/04/2010 14:11

Think you can take it as read that nothing is tmi on the bus . How come you're feeling inadequate, if you don't mind me asking?

LadyBuzz · 29/04/2010 20:37

mummychicken if it makes you feel better I had terrible sore boobs with DS1 and they were not sore at all with DS2.

I'd rather be on the 2ww then the SWI phase poor Mr Buzz!

mummychicken · 29/04/2010 21:04

florin not decided when to test yet. Last month I had a bit of spotting on about CD25 and I thought Implantaion bleeding for sure - yippee. Turned into AF.

I have had the same thing today CD26 so pretty sure AF is on her way.

Therefore, think I will wait as long as I can - perhaps monday IF af hasn't arrived. Being a tight cow I don't want to POAS costing £5 for nothing!!!

Ladybuzz thanks - I'm still hopefull

womanlytales · 29/04/2010 21:13

stay strong mummychicken prinpo - - I sometimes feel guilty that I am not at it [the swi it] all the time given that I am in the fertile period.....

Prinpo · 30/04/2010 00:10

womanlytales, I too am guilty of not always making hay while the sun shines. I'm trying to be more relaxed these days.

We've been trying for our number 3 for over two years now, with two mcs along the way, so there's been a lot of following my cycle, being aware of fertile days and then trying to ensure that we do some SWIing at the right time.

Our first two were conceived easily so when, after a few months of trying, nothing had happened with number 3, I began to get a bit obsessive and, to cut a long story short, all the fun went out of sex. That carried on until after the second mc when we took a break of a few months. It did me the world of good and, although I still have my obsessive moments, I've not gone back to how I was.

No real advice, sorry for rambling on, but just wanted to say that I think it's quite normal to not feel like doing the ideal 'every other day during your fertile period' malarky. Such is life - libidos are delicate things (well, mine is) and if I feel I'm meant to do something then it immediately takes away some of the enjoyment.

Sorry all if tmi .

Bensmum76 · 30/04/2010 07:00

Prinpo I'm so glad that you wrote about not all wanting to SWI - I no longer feel abnormal!!! I was due on Sunday, no sign of period yet so tested Monday morning and was negative and I have now gone completely off having sex. It all feels so mechanical! We've only been trying for three months and it feels like forever. Because we are not sure where I am with my cycle we have to SWI every other day throughout the month so by this time I am fed up with it, and I;m sure my DH is too!!

debka · 30/04/2010 07:07

3rd day now... no period.... I just know that if I test it will be negative and then AF will arrive....

Didn't test till AF was a week late with DD1, think I'll try and hold out till then now too.

womanlytales · 30/04/2010 10:09

More power to you debka
Prinpo Thank you for sharing.
Since this year I've been through an OD and am now on Clomid and all this treatment is taking its toll on me. I find myself getting depressed or listless quite often. I am approaching ttc as a project with goals, dates, charts, observations and all this browsing/reading on the net or from books I get from the library. On one hand I feel like OK I have something to actively go after and on the other I feel the drain on my energies towards other things - work, fun, non-ttc related life events... DH is voicing his concern on the 'schedule'. Sometimes I find it's all quite funny -- We start out instinctively following a pattern that feels right. When there aren't results though then we go through all these tests and treatments that instead of helping us reconnect with our instinctive patterns we get into this highly regimented schedule of tracking temperature, cm, cd etc etc - - all of which takes us further away from our instincts..

sparechange · 30/04/2010 13:27

Hello ladies,

I think I OV'd today. Certainly had a dull ache in the general area...

I've got my CD21 bloodtest next week, so hopefully that will at least rule out (or gulp rule in) PCOS.

The GP said I needed to go on CD21, but that is bank holiday monday, so I'll have to go on CD22.

Does anyone know if that will make a big difference to the results? Should I tell them at the time so they can let the screening lab know?

grumperina · 30/04/2010 19:33

Have updated the stats by a day - hope that's alright and I haven't mangled any dates in the process!

I have now made it to the last day when I would expect AF to arrive with no sign of it at all! Wondering how long to leave it before I POAS? Bit nervous about this, as it is our first cycle of TTC and I think it will be really disappointing if it turns out just to be a longer cycle than usual

womanlytales I find the approach you describe also helpful in terms of goals, strategies etc. That way I feel more in control. But I do not share any of this with DH, as it makes him feel under pressure. So, I throw in a few "insurance" bonks so he doesn't feel like a donation machine and make the details of when I ov etc very fuzzy. I even hid my thermometer for the first few weeks

debka · 30/04/2010 20:11

My resolve has been weakening today (AF 3 days late but determined not to POAS till it's a week late) so when I went into chemist to pick up DD's prescription I actually picked up a pg test- HOW MUCH!!!???!!! £10 for 2!!!! That is daylight robbery. Sure I didn't pay THAT 2 years ago. Resolve now re-strengthened!

i have 2 days til i said i'd test, i feel as sick as a dog, so so tired its unbelieveable not good with a dd 2 look after & have got sore boobs, am keeping my fingers crossed for a + test but after last mth with the chem pregnancy i am worried, suppose i'll find out for sure if they r real symptoms or just in my head in a couple of days, so hate this 2ww

debka · 01/05/2010 11:15

Broke down and POASed today- BFN, thought so. Feel sad and a bit silly for being so excited. Still no AF, want her out of the way now.

Prinpo · 01/05/2010 14:41

debka, it ain't over 'til it's over. Don't feel foolish - we've all done it!

CLOVER81 · 01/05/2010 15:50

Just got a bfp 3 days before af due in shock but really happy

mummychicken · 01/05/2010 16:04

Debka sorry to hear that
Clover81 Congratulations

I said my test date is today but I haven't done it yet. I'm not 100% sure whenI ov'd as I didn't test on either side of getting a on opk. Assuming the longest time AF is due today so far no sign.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up as last month I got this weird brown discharge for about 4 days before AF. I had the same thing 2 days ago but it stopped yesterday (implantation bleeding?)

Can I just say a thank you to you ladies as in RL I would NEVER discuss discharge, sex/lack of, stupid insecurities of POAS. Mr Chicken is fabulous but doesn't really understand and certainly doesn't want to have a conversation about EWCM!!

mamaof1wantno2now · 01/05/2010 20:18

congrats clover81 on ur bfp.

sorry debkaabout the bfn but its still not over yet til af arrives,

how many dpo roughly r u mummychicken? i'm about 9/10dpo 2day am due 2 test mon/tue,

i still feel sick, have sore boobs, extremely tired but having proper cramps in my stomach like af is due so don't know what 2 think any more

MountTheFairy · 01/05/2010 21:37

I am off the bus ladies, AF got me .

mummychicken · 01/05/2010 21:57

fairy sorry to hear that - I was wondering how you were getting on (still giggling over the contraptions!!)

mamma I'm 14 or 15 dpo. Absolutely nothing going on - no signs of pg or AF. Last month LP was 14 days.

If AF doesn't get me tonight, I'll POAS tomorrow.

mamaof1wantno2now · 01/05/2010 23:46

sorry mountthefairy

mummychicken how sure are you that you ovulated the day you think could it not be later, i only say this cos just realised our cycles are virtually the same & i got a positive opk cd18,cd19 this month,

LittleSilver · 02/05/2010 07:25

I know it's early but can anyone reassure me? CD19 for me, my normal ov day. Cervix soft, open, high, quite bad (what I thought were) ov pains yesterday, sure that I was about to ov. Then today no thermal shift. Not at all. Am now totally convinced this syscle is anovulatory. But if so why the other signs of upcoming ov?

Am considering going out to buy opk, but have always been put off them by the fact that they don't detect ovulation do they? They detect the LH surge, which can occur without ovulation. So not much point is there?

Should I buy Tesco own or CB digi?

mummychicken · 02/05/2010 08:23

Guess what I got this morning!!

I got a BFP!!!!

(DH doesn't even know yet as he's still asleep but I had to tell someone)

mama I had used a opk and got a on CD 13, but i didn't use one on cd12 or 14 hence not being sure if the was from day 1 or 2 of lh surge

Still not a SINGLE symptom although coffe tastes a bit odd this morming.

Littlesilver how the hell do you know your cervix is soft and open???? I used CB opk but made it last 2 months by going by EWCM
