Hi everyone,

OV calc says due date would be 31st Dec but didn't want to be on my own at the bottom of the Dec bus. Am on cycle 3 of proper trying as dp not been as willing to DTD knowing he HAS to impregnate me .
Hope someone hops on to keep me company soon

Here are today's stats. Do tell me if I got someone's wrong. I moved my test date to 29th as there is something weird going on with my OV and I do not want to get my hopes up too soon if it is simply a long period. Could have moved it to the 30th but then I would have no testing buddies !

mummychicken · 16/04/2010 14:27

mount did guess that about the "contraptions" but just loved your phrasing

Daddychicken is out tonight - under strict instructions to be back before midnight and not get pissed so the big on the OPK doesn't go to waste. Poor boy is shagged out very tired

laughinglemons · 16/04/2010 14:55

Hello All.

First on the bus and first off. AF came today. I can't say I surprised (although a few days early) as I didn't feel pregnant.

Explains why I was feeling down last night - started fretting that DH is too old to be a first time dad (he will be 47 in Sep) when I looked over at him during The First Ever Live Televised Debate Before the Election and he had nodded off - and we had friends over!

Also realised that this was our #3 cycle not 2nd.. Hmmm

Anyway, good luck to All, lovely to hear about the puppies and enjoy the rhubarb.

LL.

MountTheFairy · 16/04/2010 15:26

Laughing I am sorry. I am feeling the same. My DH is 43. (Getting some comfort from the fact that he is exactly the same age as David Cameron and he just impregnated a woman!)
I am no spring chicken at almost 33. I was just having dreaded thoughts of what if it never happens...

MountTheFairy · 16/04/2010 15:29

Sorry, that was depressing wasn't it! I should be trying to cheer you up! It's just that you found me at the same gloomy moment. On the up side: it is VERY early days for you lemon, no need to worry yet. I have a friend who was 47 with their first child. They now have 3! And it seems to be working for them...

Prinpo · 16/04/2010 20:13

Hello all,

Laughing, sorry to hear about AF turning up. I imagine I'll join you on the next bus as I don't have the inclination to do much SWIing this month. Not sure what's going on but my libido seems to have taken a nose dive. Normally I get a but frisky in the build up to ovulation so I hope this doesn't mean that I'm not ovulating. Oh well, DH back from being away for a few days so I may try to summon up the energy...

lucybrad · 16/04/2010 20:34

on cd18 today and experienced cramping all afternoon. Has stopped now. Fairly sure this happens every month though!

rosieposey · 16/04/2010 20:40

Prinpo you have my sympathies as i havent been too great in the old libido dept this month, tired and stressed i think but still SWI'ing every day, its sort of like housework - i cant be bothered but im glad i did it

laughinglemons · 16/04/2010 22:34

Thanks for the support MountThe, Lady and Prinpo. I am plesaed to know how old David Cameron is, I was wondering last night.

Lucybrad - fingers crossed for you that your cramping is the implanting.

MountThe yes it is very early days and I know people do have babes later these days. DH is having a hard time at work lately and has put on weight so he just looks old! I am 34.

I appreciate that I am coming across as scatty, but by my (admittedly unreliable) calculations, I should have been at the bottom of the Dec bus so could still be on the January bus as this is now cycle 4, ucl 27, cd1, due to POAS 13 May (according to ovulation calendar due date would be 21 Jan 2011)...

laughinglemons · 16/04/2010 22:38

rosieposey that made me laugh. What isn't so funny is that SWI'ing is becoming more like housework for DH and if the housework were left to him the human race would have died out!

mummychicken · 16/04/2010 22:52

laughing hoping you get to stay on the Jan bus

Love the housework analogy -Daddychicken had a face like slapped arse when i told him he had a midnight curfew and why. Sorry - didn't reqalise having sex with me was such hard work!!!!

Really bored waiting for him to get home and trying not too drink too much wine!!

mummychicken · 16/04/2010 22:53

reqalise = realise

maybe I've had too much wine already!

mummychicken · 17/04/2010 00:15

He arrived home at 00.05 - he's forgiven.

mamaof1wantno2now · 17/04/2010 00:50

hi hope everyone is well,
i have just noticed i have somehow managed 2 gain a day on my cd, i can't change it myself as i can't on my phone but would the nxt person 2 update please change it for me please, as of sat 17, i'm only on cd15, thanks

Morning ladies, updated stats for today Mummychicken, hope you and MrChicken had fun last night Laughinglemons, you and DH are mere spring chickens - plenty of time for you as yet - i on the other hand am really trying to get pg this cycle or next so as i can have this baby at 38! Covering all the bases today and this is the last day of 'work sex' as someone else on another thread amusingly put it lol but assuming that you are supposed to SWI on the day you get a positive OPK then for the following three days this is the last day thank goodness - i think me and DH need a rest!

LadyBuzz · 17/04/2010 16:02

AF got me last night but like laughing I too would still be due late Jan if I concieve this month. So stats duly updated.

Sorry Lady, but glad you are staying on the bus.

I was wondering, is anyone taking any vitamin supplements? I am normally 'all natural' kinda girl, but what with all the talk of vitamin B etc, I thought of maybe taking some supplement like Wellwoman, or they do have those trying to get pregnant combos I think...

Anyway, I thought I'd do a poll: are you taking supplements (apart from folic acid that is)?

mummychicken · 17/04/2010 19:55

And the 2 ww begins.......

I promise to try and NOT keep checking my boobs to see it they are sore.

At work there is a CTTV camera in the corridor and I always think it would be really funny if the tapes were ever reviewed because I would be there
a) doing a little tap dance
b) grabbing my boobs
c) or a V sign to the woman at work I can't stand behind her back

mummychicken · 17/04/2010 19:57

mount
Me - floic acid
Him - Vitamin E

mummychicken · 17/04/2010 19:57

floic = folic

Louindevon · 17/04/2010 20:20

I'm taking Sanatogen Mother to be and also Eye Q omega 3 oil capsules.

Lou x (Day 23, getting tense....)

rosieposey · 17/04/2010 20:31

ooo exciting times Louindevon, we need some BFP's on this thread! Well im going to test 1 week tomorrow - might be a wee bit early but also might not be - should be around 10/11 dpo by then so maybe will see something either way.

Im taking 11 times the normal dose of folic acid - im diabetic and apparently i need a much higher dose as any potential baby is at higher risk than average for neural tube defects.

Well its been a gorgeous day here - had a fantastic bbq for dinner and now am chilling on the sofa.

claire196 · 17/04/2010 20:33

Love the image of security men across the country confused about all the 2wwers prodding their boobs in office corridors...

mount - I take pregnacare conception. No doubt it's exactly the same as any pre-natal supplement but I'll buy into anything that's 'specially formulated' for a 'healthy conception'. They really saw me coming...

LucyHoneychurch · 17/04/2010 21:38

I've taken a deep breath and I would like to join you if you'll have me? I have been lurking for long enough to have worked it all out.... I think!

TTC#2 cycle 2 UCL38-39 CD20

Good luck everyone
