Hi everyone,

OV calc says due date would be 31st Dec but didn't want to be on my own at the bottom of the Dec bus. Am on cycle 3 of proper trying as dp not been as willing to DTD knowing he HAS to impregnate me .
Hope someone hops on to keep me company soon

mummychicken · 18/04/2010 08:35

laughing hope the marathon was fun

vitamin e

Supposedly men are given it when going for IVF. No idea really, but wanted him to "feel involved" although in reality all that happens is he rolls his eyes and groans every time I give him a pill.

emma2617 · 18/04/2010 09:04

morning ladies!! Let me just preface the next statement with the fact I am not letting myself get excited so please don't egg me on! I just can't bring myself to tell DP just incase it's wrong!!

I have tested this morning, day 27 of 28 day cycle, got the faintest of faint pink lines on a tesco HPT! It didn't show til right at the end of the timescale so I am going to retest on tuesday morning to get a definite answer....I really hope it's right!

rosieposey · 18/04/2010 09:33

Ahhh Emma I think congratulations are in order it sounds like you are our first BFP so i think you can probably get excited! Whenever i get early BFP's they are always faint and always show up when the test strip has gone white again and all the dye has gone bar the faint line so dont worry about it being at the end of the time as long as it was in the time.

A line is a line is a line, if you got a faint pink line its because there is hcg in your urine and if you have hcg in your urine its because you are pg, test again on Tues and hopefully it should be a little darker - good luck.

Laughing Brighton marathon! the most exertion i am going for today is mowing the lawn - hope you have a great time though

Lucy hello Welcome to the thread i have added you just above me.

mummychicken · 18/04/2010 21:36

3 days into 2ww and my willpower has wained already.

I did a OPK on day
11 O
13
14 O

I an therefore working on the premise that Ov happened on day 13. Last month, luteal phase was 14 days so, assuming it is the same this month I am expecting a 27 day cycle (unusual but not unheard of).

So AF due 30 April, new test date 1 May

How pathetic am I?

mummychicken · 18/04/2010 21:38

Updated to include my lack of willpower

Here are today's updated stats. Some testers today I believe!

I have no idea whether I ovulated at all this month. No on OPKs but had some EWCM and SWId so we'll see... Not holding too much hope but I think I will try and relax a bit more next month. Who knows maybe I even delayed my ovulation with stress!

Nanny01 · 19/04/2010 09:20

SO frustrated cd 11 or 12 and no highs on my monitor or peaks wondering if this is another month like last. With my last child I came of depo and it took 6 months for af to return but when it did it took only 1 cycle to regulate and was 28 days then only 3 months to concieve. There again now 3 years older so who knows and also a few more pounds heavier. At least school holidays finished and only have the eldest and youngest at home, they are happy people they can do what they want.

MountTheFairy · 19/04/2010 09:24

Thanks mummy, lou, rosie, claire, laughing. Are you taking the vitamins just on your own initiative or did you get any advice from the GP or similar?

Welcome Lucy!

emma2617 · 19/04/2010 10:55

Morning ladies! Aaaargh...I hate this limbo between a feint BFP and a nice strong one that's going to convince me!! I tested again this morning and it was still faint, but as HCG doubles every 48-72 hourse I dont know why I though 20 hours would make a HUGE difference!!

Also, I know there are a few of us TTC #2+, has anyone experienced diarrhoea in the very early stages? I have been naughty and been googling and it can be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy so I am a little concerned now!

sparechange · 19/04/2010 11:14

Hello ladies,

may I hop on? I've got a well-used season ticket for the MN bus route.

Sparechange TTC#1 Cycle 7 UCL 29 CD7

I had some a blood test on CD3 last week, and am due to have another on CD21, and DH is being dispatched to the hospital to wank in a cup have some tests so hopefully we won't be on too many more buses

ImpatientHove · 19/04/2010 11:27

Congratulations Emma! Very exciting. A line is a line is a line!

Sorry to those who have af

Welcome LucyHoney and sparechange.

Mount - I am taking Higher Nature MKumtobe multi vit, vitamin C and omega 3 fish oils (when I remember....). As recommended by nutritionist friend.

Well we have been SWI all weekend - I am still totally confused about the OPK results I keep getting and I think after this pack is finished I am going to stop using them. very strange results.

Good luck to those who are testing today..

MountTheFairy · 19/04/2010 12:49

Spare welcome. I think I have "spoken" to you before. I am at exactly the same stage as you, even same cycle! My blood tests came back all ok, and just waiting for DH's wank test results. I think he'll make a GP appointment this week.

Hove I share your OPK confusion. So far they worked well for me, but this month I think I am ovulating on CD 22????

laughinglemons · 19/04/2010 12:52

Welcome sparechange I've added you to the stats below. What date are you due to POAS?

You are just in time for hopefully our first BFP..Emma...can we say congrats yet?

Yes mummychicken the brighton marathon was fun. Lots of support as it was a lovely day and the city's first full marathon. Lots of Music, banners and cheering - children banging things and offering jelly babies. One child made me laugh as I heard her asking her Dad why all these people were dropping their litter (ie the water bottles!). There were also big blokes in uniform (st johns ambulance) hold industrial size tubs if petroleum jelly and wearing surgical gloves - in brighton!

Also thank you for the vitamin E link, I total agree that it will make DH feel he has more of a role to play (might even benfit him).

womanly sorry that AF got you. Glad you are still on January Bus

sparechange nearly snorted out my toast at "wank in a cup"

Oops forgot I was supposed to be testing today - I had tested and posted yesterday - BFN but no signs of AF still so will test at end of week again.

laughinglemons · 19/04/2010 12:56

Hi Crumblequeen, I meant to ask what is OPK?

Womanly sorry I've left your earlier POAS date on the stats.

crumblequeen · 19/04/2010 13:02

OPK - I think Ovulation Predictor Kit? I haven't been using those though (yet) - did you mean someone else?

ImpatientHove · 19/04/2010 13:06

My stats seem to have gone wrong - I should be on CD24 - is it just me?

milanomum · 19/04/2010 13:07

Hello all! Sorry I've been AWOL!
Congrats Emma - sounds promising! I won't be testing till AF is late. I WILL NOT test early
I usually get pain in my side around ovulation but haven't had it this month... it's weird because according to ov calc my fertile period ends tomorrow. I'm confused even without the ov sticks!

PandaSam · 19/04/2010 13:13

impatienthove the stats are wrong for today; but laughinglemons posted earlier to say that she changed them and then realised they had already been done; so she put them up ready for tomorrow

sparechange can I ask, I thought Docs made you wait 12 months before they started doing tests - I'm not at that stage yet but just curious (I dread having to wait 12 months to TTC; I'm so impatient)

sparechange · 19/04/2010 14:07

panda I think they say see a doctor after 12 months of trying if you are under 35, but go after 6 months if you are over 35
I'm 29, but DH is 40, so I thought it was better to air on the side of caution.

I told the GP how long we'd been trying for and he was happy to refer for tests, but did stress lots of SWI is the way forward, and also advised avoiding stress/working late when I'm OVing

I'm also slightly concered that I have quite a short leutal phase - it is around 10 days which isn't dangerously short, but is quite short so I thought it was worth checking out.
And I'm also hugely impatient

laughing congrats on the marathon. Were you happy with your time?

mount hello - yes, I think we were both on the sept/oct buses?

emma2617 · 19/04/2010 14:34

Welcome Spare I hope you have a lucky bus trip this time!

Well I tested again at lunchtime (did I mention I am a POAS addict?!?!) Used a first response, not the early one, the bog standard use on the day of missed period one, and there was a feint line but not until like 5 mins, the disregard time being 10mins, so I am starting to believe! I have 1 more FR to use tomorrow morning, then a Tesco cheapy for Wednesday morning! If all is looking good then I will buy a CB digi just to see the word "pregnant"...to summarise, I am now quietly confident! Just hope it's a sticky one!
