So a slightly lighter and less scary thread for those who are chucking away the pills and the condoms and hoping for the best!

go on frakkin just do it hahaha

BrassicaBbe - my parent's sheep are currently lambing, so I will no be going on any lovely little walks with DD round there then!!

(And I have two cats - who spend all day outside, only to come in and shit in the cat tray, any ideas who will deal with that mid week when dp working?)

I am currently writing an essay, with a max word count of 2,500 - so far Im on 3,789....oops

any ideas how to tell DP then ladies??

BrassicaBabe · 24/03/2010 15:19

owo how long does a line stay on the test for? Can you wrap up the test into a fancy pressie box?

OnlyWantsOne · 24/03/2010 15:23

uh... I could do that, but i dont fancy giving him some thing soaking in my urine ...

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 15:24

You have a dd don't you?
My friend told her dp by dressing her dd in a Big Sister T-shirt.

My SiL cooked a meal with baby potatoes, carrots etc but she is a bit of a knob and had a tantrum when BiL was oblivious.

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 15:26

Try changing all the it is to it's etc in you essay I had to resort to that for my final assignment.

OnlyWantsOne · 24/03/2010 15:27

hahahahahahahahahahah yes, I could do that - but then would have to hide the T shirt from DD forever more to stop her letting the whole world know.

I am a little fretty about bean not staying put - I suppose just have to wait and see, when do you think I should go to see GP?

OnlyWantsOne · 24/03/2010 15:28

not allowed to use abreviated terms, its an English degree - grr will cut some out of it tonight at least the 1st draft is done Im wondering how I will be able to do my third year and have a newborn baby....eeek

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 15:32

Try not to worry, I know it's hard though.

I would see Gp soon it might make you feel like you are in safe hands and put your mind at rest.

BrassicaBabe I would love some sheep you lucky thing.

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 15:37

That is harsh!

I am trying to decide if I should sign up for a degree knowing we are 'just shagging'.

I'm hoping it will happen soon and make the decision for me. Its messed me up a bit as dh just changed his mind about #3 out of the blue so I was almost all prepared to just have two dc and finally get my degree.

PrivetDancer · 24/03/2010 16:03

haha that is hilarious about the baby carrots and baby potatoes meal! poor bloke - how on earth was he supposed to guess from that??!

owo i have been incredibly paranoid about this too, got a scan on friday to attempt to reassure me.

frakkinaround · 24/03/2010 17:46

But I don't feeeeeeel pregnant! Not that I would know.

I thought there would be this wonderful moment of knowledge that I should test, not a 'I can't really be pregnant can I?' moment....

And it's DH's birthday tomorrow. It's not normal to be this scared, is it? Anyone remember being like this with their first?

OP posts:
notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 17:57

frakkin I was petrified with my first, was an unplanned pg.

Weirdly Dh knew I was pg second time round and told me to test two days before AF was due.

30andMerkin · 24/03/2010 18:08

ROFL at the baby veg. I can just imagine the scene...

"Do you notice something different about your meal tonight darling?"

"Yes, I appear to be living in Lilliput."

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 19:03

I like to think it was more like...

"How are the BABY potatoes" all nicey nicey,

"Do you want some more BABY carrots?" smiling,

"BABY sweetcorn darling" through clenched teeth,

"I love these BABY fecking sprouts don't you?" seething with anger

Launches Babybels at a confused BIL yelling "I'm up the duff you insensitive twunt how could you not realise from these small vegetables"

She is an arse and didn't speak to him for most of the first 3 months.

OnlyWantsOne · 24/03/2010 19:23

frakkin - I feel constantly nausiated, all afternoon, either im about to have a stomach bug, or this is MS kicking in allready.

Had two girl friends round for tea, had to make polite conversation whilst feeling like death. One of them said "you look a bit peaky, youre not pregnant are you?????"

LOL that was swiftly denied.

Still dont know how to tell DP. Please, more ideas ladies.

When you go from one to two DC, did you ever have a pang of guilt about changing the family dynamics for your firstborn?

I felt really sad that it wont just be me and DD any more

BrassicaBabe · 24/03/2010 20:17

PMSL @ notso

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 20:30

I felt really guilty for a while and for a while after ds was born OWO.
Especially as dd started school when he was a couple of days old and I know she found it hard to adjust.
I used to wonder how I could love another child as much as I loved her, but you just do.

I am on a mission tonight to get dh in the mood he's been playing hard to get which is out of character. I hope he's not getting cold feet about #3.

pipistrello · 24/03/2010 21:57

Shrieking with laughter on the tube at notso !

Currently badgering DP to agree to a shag tomorrow morning before I go to work - he has day off and seems to be saying he would rather have an uninterrupted lie in than have sex with me. How insulting!

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 22:05

I know how you feel pipistrello, these men don't know they're born.

I have tried my best to be alluring this evening,
(I do admittedly look like shit after spending most of the last two days vomiting)
I shall be retiring in a minute and hope he joins me.

BrassicaBabe · 25/03/2010 09:51

OWO How did you tell DP in the end? What was his reaction? Do tell!

I hope pipi and notso both got the shags you were looking for I'm sure you were both lovely and suitably alluring

pipistrello · 25/03/2010 10:15

And frakkin , any update on the stick-peeing?

Nothing this morning for me, apart from a faceful of garlic-breath (mmm, alluring), but he has promised that this evening will be given over to shaggy fun. How about you, notso ? Hope the vomiting has cleared up as well.

OnlyWantsOne · 25/03/2010 12:14

heyup - Brassica, I still havent told any one in reallife - one of my closest friends and I have just had a massive row and I know its me being completely irrational and silly but I cant tell him why so he's cross with me.

grr still dont know how to tell DP - will be tellin him Friday night when he gets home.

Bless, he has already offered to take DD to a playcentre on Sat morning so I can sleep as Ive obviously said I feel rough last couple of days.

Odd not being able to just tell people and say - yeah the reason I had to leave my lecture twice, and the reason I cant drink coffee, yeah, my tummy is churning because IM PREGNANT!!!!!!

Did another superdrug test this morning, great big fat positive

has any one worked out my EDD for me yet? please ladies?

pipistrello · 25/03/2010 14:32

Blimey, owo , I have no idea. Something to do with adding something to the first day of your last period, then counting from there? Or if you happen to know when you had the crucial shag, that would be helpful

Incredibly bored at work so am going to take advantage of the fact that no-one can see my screen, and sneakily watch One Born Every Minute on 4OD.

30andMerkin · 25/03/2010 17:25

You can watch OBEM at work pipi?

I would expect all the wailing and mainlining Twixes I need to get through an episode would give me away!

pipistrello · 25/03/2010 20:19

Well, with earphones in, noone really notices. I'm a bit tucked away. As it happened, someone very unreasonably needed me to do something after all. Bah. Will watch tonight instead.
