So a slightly lighter and less scary thread for those who are chucking away the pills and the condoms and hoping for the best!

Rofl at you having a grope at work!

I'm 29 and you?

OnlyWantsOne · 30/03/2010 14:16

NO feeling sick today, all is good b00bies hurt though

BrassicaBabe · 30/03/2010 14:25

A whipper-snapper at 37 - not!

Only one is sore. Maybe I poked it too hard. All good fun in an open plan office

notsochickchickchicken · 30/03/2010 14:44

Ha, just snorted tea at you and your boobs Brassica.

Glad your feeling better OWO, have you been to the docs yet?

I am bored, DD is at athletics, DS and I wanted to go for a walk but it's chucking it down.
I'm flitting between mning, mariokart and making sausage casserole!

frankenfanny · 30/03/2010 14:47

Thanks for the welcome. I think I prefer Frank to Fanny though

I am 40 so fertility dropping as we speak. Therefore not going to think about it.

How many have got pregnant off this thread?

alypaly · 30/03/2010 14:56

bump

notsochickchickchicken · 30/03/2010 14:56

I think it's four but I haven't been around from the start.

How old are your dc frank, my dh is worried about age gaps, I have a dd who is nearly 10 and a ds aged 5.

frankenfanny · 30/03/2010 15:56

notso mine are 14, 10 and 4. I "do " age gaps, lol. It is swings and roundabouts, you adapt to fit, don't you. What is he worried about? Mine is wanting a few child- free years before he is too old!

I am guessing AF is Aunt Flo? lol, haven't heard that expression for years. Must have been brought up posh we always called it That Time Of The Month.(sooo prudeish, I know).

notsochickchickchicken · 30/03/2010 16:13

I think he is worried that they won't relate to one another, he and his 4 siblings were all born over 8 years and are very close.
I think he was also looking forward to us being quite young when our dc left home.

Correct with AF
My mum used to get all embarrassed whenever we mentioned our period so my sister and I used to call it The Ladies Time, and tampons Ladies Accoutrements, to wind her up!

BrassicaBabe · 30/03/2010 17:29

Crap. I gave in to the lure of Google. This could be ovulation bleeding

If it is, then last night's shag will have to do. DP is working tonight.

Crikey you pair are old hands at this lark. I'm still not sure if this is a good idea at all

notsochickchickchicken · 30/03/2010 18:42

Wtf is ovulation bleeding?

frankenfanny · 30/03/2010 19:34

Found this googling

"Sometimes, during the middle of a woman?s menstrual cycle, when she is ovulating, she may have some bleeding. Ovulation bleeding is different from the regular menstrual flow. Ovulation bleeding tends to be pink to red in color. Ovulation bleeding is lighter than menstrual flow. Ovulation bleeding typically will last for one to two days."

Wish I'd had a sister to wind my mum up with, she wouldn't let me buy Tampax until she'd checked with a doctor.

IKWYM about not relating, but there is 2 years between me and my brother and we hated one another. My teen actually gets on best with the youngest. And whilst I can understand your DH wanting to recreate his childhood, was it cos they were close in age or cos of the way they were brought up?

I can't argue with his other point though. Mine is the same. And we were only going to have 1, to save money and get our lives back quicker. But here we are again

notsochickchickchicken · 30/03/2010 19:58

Strange, I've heard of implantation bleeding, but not ovulation bleeding.

I think they all just seem to have similar interests, so get on well.
I think that while our DD and DS love each other thay don't necessarily relate that well to one another so it can't hurt to chuck another one in the mix!

BrassicaBabe · 30/03/2010 21:06

There are 6 years between me and my youngest sister. When we were young I could show her how to do stuff; taught her how to swim etc. We lived in different circles in the middle years as 6 years is an eternity at 10/16 or 14/20 etc. But now get on great.

In an attempt to chill out, I've slugged tonights folic acid down with a nice glass of white wine

pipistrello · 31/03/2010 00:03

Sounds perfect. I have washed mine down with Ribena and feel v envious as a result. Might it not have been an implantation bleed,bb? Or would it be too early for that? Oh I don't know.

Welcome, frank! I am very admiring and envious of people who've already reproduced!

I think, if I have understood this cervical fluid thing properly, I might be about to enter a fertile phase. Boyfriend is out on the lash tonight but we both have tomorrow off so hopefully we can get down to it tomorrow morning.

notsochickchickchicken · 31/03/2010 09:06

Morning all

How's your boob today Brassica? pipi am in awe of you being able to read your fluid, I am completely oblivious to the arts despite having a regular rummage!

I succumbed to a massive gin and tonic last night which rendered me rather drunk as have not had a proper drink since coil removal.
Did lead to a good shag though on day 14 too, so fingers crossed but not legs.

BrassicaBabe · 31/03/2010 09:45

Morning everyone

(I like having this tread. It feels like home )

Boobs are fine today, probably because I've stopped poking them. Much to the releif of my colleagues around me It's too early for an implantation bleed. So "whatever" in a Jeremy Kyle stylee.

Maybe I'm just going to be a mad mother, but I've not stopped drinking. There's too much going on to give that up too. My head would explode good and proper!

No shag for me last night (day 17), but did manage 14, 15 and 16 Hopefully the little suckers will survive long enough if yesterday was the much elusive signs of ov.

Right, back to some proper boob groping work

BrassicaBabe · 31/03/2010 09:46

oops, meant bad mother not mad. Maybe that's prophetic!

notsochickchickchicken · 31/03/2010 10:03

I know what you mean, it's nice to be able to discuss ttc.
I have only told two people in RL one of which I'm regretting because she texts me almost everyday asking if I'm up the duff yet.

I don't think I can hold off the drink as completely as I have been for much longer, maybe I'll just not drink the week I'm due on.

Perhaps you will be both mad and bad and possibly dangerous to know

frankenfanny · 31/03/2010 11:09

Morning folks

Well AF due this week, (how many people in RL would be remotely interested?). Am not going to get hung up on calendars n stuff cos not very sure of cycle anyway, but could even be a bit late.

So of course I am definitely not symptom spotting. It is very annoying early pregnancy symptoms can be like AF coming on or a virus.

In a way hoping it is not anything as have been really enjoying all the carefree shagging

pipi I am very envious of those who are embarking on their PFB. It really is a very precious time and so exciting. Once you have 2 or 3 everyone is like, meh.

pipistrello · 31/03/2010 12:36

Well we will cheer for you and not be remotely meh here frank.

Just had a nice morning shag on what I think is about day 17 but as I have randomly unpredictable cycles I guess it's as good a time as any. As for the cervical fluid, I have no idea what I'm doing, just noticed I semed to have lots. But I could have just wen looking forward to a shag, if you know what I mean.

I like this thread too

BrassicaBabe · 31/03/2010 12:37

I've never talked so much about my "internal workings" with anyone so much before!! And I'm afraid I do count dates on my mobile phone calendar

Back to the carefree shagging then

BrassicaBabe · 31/03/2010 12:39

And bli'me, it must be quiet around here as we made the "most active" list

notsochickchickchicken · 31/03/2010 12:50

Wo betide anyone who is the slightest bit meh when I eventually get pregnant, I shall open a whole can of hormonal whoopass on them!

I confess to writing down when we've shagged on the calendar in my aptly named family planner.

Must remember FA though, I'm not so good at remembering pills, DD is living proof!

notsochickchickchicken · 31/03/2010 12:52

Aww not most active now, I've never acheived that status in all my years of mn.
