Well wasn't impressed with MN shutting down last night!!! Think i'm a little addicted as had to keep checking to see if it was working or not

fairy i went for one scan and the nurse said i was either pg or af was imminent. Af arrived a few days later. Hopefully it wont be the same with you. Although my cycle was a normal 32 days not late like yours. Are the symptoms you are experiencing normal for you? If we ever have a 'normal' month I think i was always pretty abnormal at this ttc lark. fell pg whilst trying not to, no luck then for 8yrs then fell when i'd given up, then lost him and now a BFP when i was begining to think it wasn't going to happen plus aload more stuff i wont go into!!

Welcome Lucy loads of support here for you hun.Haven't heard about prone to conceiving a girl, like Stac higher % of twins but not the sex of a baby. Although mum is convinced we are having a girl!

Went for my scan yesterday. I was a nervous wreck, so sorry if i annoyed any of you ladies when i was stressing . Scan was wonderful, realy made it all feel real. Saw our lo and their heartbeat was strong We were both so relieved we cried. Thank you ladies again for your endless support

Love to all

Pops agree about last night. I'm far too abnormal at everything! I don't know what is normal! If you can remember how many days? Thats two now without a tinge of it coming. A few cramps but nothing major. The sore boobs are erratic cos some months I have & some I don't. I think PCOS in me stops any normality! But since taking clomid it's only been late once when Stac found out she was pg & we both had a long cycle (my af arrived & luckily her's didn't). We haven't really tried this month either - what with work stuff!

stac14 · 16/02/2010 16:08

yay popsy fantastic news, how many weeks have they said you are? Totally agree about being addicted to mn lol kept coming on to see if you and shev had posted

fairy regarding the scan they really cant see anything till about 6 weeks so you never know. what times your appointment? Cycles are defo not normal when ttc. I had sore boobs but some days they didnt feel too bad other days even a hug ached. If you remember when I got bfp I had had lots of colds and was generally quite under the weather. defo waiting in suspense for you

debi how are you?

hey to everyone, what have you all been up to? pink hows things with you?

lots and lots of baby dust

popsy1 · 16/02/2010 16:22

Sorry fairy i just searched through my diary and i can't find it. I normally record everything, which is why i think it was an earlier month as i wasn't so good at recording!!

Thanks stac and Deb. We were so relieved. They said i'm just over 8wks, so still early days. Seeing midwife on Thursday, will hopefully make dating scan then We are going to go for a nuchal scan as well.

Fairygodmother1 · 16/02/2010 16:54

Hi all, app went well, all done in like 2 seconds! She told me to wait till the weekend to test.

stac If I am I'm only like 4weeks +5 now. My sister my best mate & mum(for mum it was like 23 years ago though) they didn't get BFPs till 5 1/2 weeks +. So plenty of time really!

Phoned cons sec when I got back & she was surprised I'd got it done so quick. She said we're well underway now. So either was there should be a BFP in my future (just when really).

Pops Thanks for looking. Whats a nuchal scan?

Glad your appointment went well Fairy. The wheels are certainly in motion for you Hoping for a lovely end of term pressie for you hun
A nuchal scan is done between 11-13wks. Its a private scan that checks for a higher risk of downs. with loosing my son after the amnio last year we dont really want to go down that route again.

Fairygodmother1 · 16/02/2010 17:50

Good idea Pops. You need to do whatever prevents & learn from last time. When my friend had a stillborn due to the cord around his neck, her daughter was CSec, she want allowed to go over her time (unlike last time). can't believe that'll be two years in a couple of weeks!

Fairygodmother1 · 16/02/2010 18:43

Stac i just feel in more limbo than normal. Why do I have to be so weird??? if it's not to be give me af & I can get on with destressing, having a natural month. If I am pg - give me a BIG FAT POSITIVE!!!!!!

lol.

also, you are right, any problems & they get back to you really quickly!

Oh BTW it's confirmed i don't have any dodgy diseases & DH def does not have HIV or HEP!!! lol. Good to know eh?

Debicemmy2 · 16/02/2010 19:01

Im ok Stac thanks. Not too sure what to think mind,,,,,,,norm (on clomid) have a 32/33 day cycle but last month I had a 25 day on and now I am CD 28 and feel like poo(always feel sick when AF on the way though) My mind all over with not knowing when AF is coming
Does anyone else feel very sick before AF comes?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

stac14 · 16/02/2010 19:04

thats what i felt when i got my bloods back too they check for all the dodgey diseases. Totally understand why your fed up being in limbo hope its a BIG FAT POSITIVE lol x

Fairygodmother1 · 16/02/2010 19:14

Deb what is normal is the most important question. Was saying to DH as we walked back from Drs - Why do people keep asking me whats normal, I don't know what normal is. I don't have normality - af all over the place, clomid gave me false normality e.g 28 day cycle! ARGH!!! What does 'normal' mean????

Hi Ladies

Hope your all well and enjoyed valentines day, DP spoiled me with flowers, sexy underwear etc and a romantic meal.

Welcome Emmy and Lucy, the ladies are very friendly on here.

Sounds promising for you Fairy, hope you get your BFP at the weekend.

Popsy it must be an amazing feeling to hear lo heartbeat, i think i would worry just like you and Stac did. At least you can relax a bit now.

Ladybird10 · 16/02/2010 19:21

Deb im on CD27 and i have also been feeling a bit sicky, but i get this most months before af is due. I also get really prominant veins on my boobs which is another sign of pregnancy but af always arrives

xx

Clure · 16/02/2010 19:45

hi all

welcome emmy and lucy, I took clomid for one round last time and got pg with my gorgeous DD who is now 5 and desperate for a brother or sister. lots of support here!

shev - sounds like a really positive time for you!
ladybird and Deb- you too! When will you both test?

pops - so glad scan went well for you, i had a nuchal scan, so glad I did, really put my mind at rest when they told me my baby was very low risk of downs

fairy - you sound so up and down hun, it sounds like another positive time for you (though I know you don;t want to get your hopes up again) fingers crossed for you, when will you test again?

I spoke to GP secretary who apparently does the referrals and let her know that I would like to be referred to Guys so the wheels are now in motion! Still waiting for af, can't even remember what CD I'm on. Off to pilates now, now trying to build up core strength to protect my back. Have spent one whole day and another half day today doing school work. My role will be changing after half term and have got a lot to take on! Wish me luck

hey ladies, thanks for my hugs at the weekend, much appreciated. . welcome emmy and lucy. i've just started 2nd month of clomid and have pcos too.

fairy, how's things, have you tested again yet? few things sounding positive, i have myu fingers crossed for you.

stac and pops, thinking of you and hope scan results show good things! fingers crossed all will be fine.

fairy and venetia I totally know what you mean and feel the same in terms of wanting a big family.

hi to the rest, nice to read everyone's messages.

well today I went for accupuncture for the first time. saw a really lovely therapist who went through my medical history in loads of detail and was really knowledgable - so much more helpful than the last consultant i saw! she picked up on a few things about diet changes and said a lot of my symptoms point to a weak spleen and that i could take supplements to support it (it sure was a whole lot more than just needles and more than i was expecting). the needles part was less weird than i thought - she put two in my stomach, one in my right knee (as my right tube is blocked) and 2 in each foot. the right foot throbbed a bit but others felt fine. then she put a lump of herbs on the two stomach ones and set fire to them (!) It made the needles warm and sent a warm glow through my insides, a bit like an internal hot water bottle which kind of carried on glowing for a few hours afterwards. overall felt very relaxing and i am going again in a few weeks. anyway, just thought a few of you might be interested as we'd talked about it before.

she also gave me a book on fertility, which the best quote i have seen from it so far says 'positive thoughts lead to positive things'! the power of wishful thinking maybe?

hmm, pancake baby dust. x

Fairygodmother1 · 16/02/2010 20:05

Clure I'm all over the place. In limbo i suppose!!!

care it's def positive mind but thats easier said than done! I loved accupuncture but couldn't afford to keep it going!

lady I get the blue vein thing too - so convincing that a couple of years ago after a stupid one last night thing with an ex she thought I was pg (we wasn't careful - now know that PCOS was prob to thank for no baby - the only time I'll thank it).

OP posts:
Ladybird10 · 16/02/2010 20:18

Clure af isnt due till Friday but if it doesnt come then i prob wouldnt test till next Wed, i havent had many signs that af is on the way but im sure it will arrive

Fairy the blue veins are so annoying as every month i think im pregnant.

Good Luck to all xx

popsy1 · 16/02/2010 20:32

It was fantastic lady Scans always amaze me. We had been going to this fertility unit for scans for a long time, twice over!!So it was amazing to come out having a picture of our lo Very emotional. We have said we've seen our baby from a very small follicle!
What cycle are you on Lady? They signs are so similiar it used to drive me mad!!

Clure did your midwife recommend a place for the nuchal? I've had high blood results with both my pregnancies so they will prob come back high again!! Do you know when your treatment will start?

Carebear i contemplated accupuncture, very scared of needles and a friend went and threw up everywhere so opted for reflexology!! A wimp i know!!

Fairygodmother1 · 16/02/2010 21:31

Clure · 16/02/2010 22:17

pops - I went to the nearest private clinic that offered nuchal, think it cost around £80 (thats going back 5 years) I thought that the nhs now offered them? It may be worth checking. Good luck with it x

carebear - interesting about the acupuncture, I went for reflexology as wasn't too sure about the needle thing either!

Off to bed as woke up at 5.15 and couldn't get back to sleep (head so full of stuff!) the pilates is a good way to wind down as well as strengthening things, recommend it.
