Venetia2 · 17/02/2010 10:31

Hi, have been lurking, checking MN on my mobile for the last couple of days but haven't had a minute to post anything. Welcome Emma and Lucy!

Fairy, I am rooting for this to turn out as a BFP, we would just need another BFP after you to have another three. I think our success rate is pretty great, looking back over the old threads.

Lucy, I don't think 39 is too old to have a child, there are lots of ladies on here having DC at older ages than that from what I can see. My views on having a large family (I want one)are already on this thread, so i totally understand where you are coming from. I am still trying for DC 1 at the moment though.

Have my meeting with the IUI nurse today with DH. Am CD4 so should be able to have it this month. Means injections but will cope, will be worth it in the end if I get a BFP.

Will keep you all posted, slightly late pancakey baby dust

Shev40 · 17/02/2010 10:52

Hi all,

Fairy I'm with you, One born every minute, god I wanted to slap her chops, pathetic and the poor bloke! She defo wears the trousers in their house eh. And the other one as well, can't wait til next week to see her. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 2!

Lucy You ain't old girl, I've just turned 40 in Jan there and I'm sure Clure is 42 so there is hope! Just keep positive.

Clure I commend you for your exercise regime. I'm just jealous because I've had to stop the now b'cos of my ankle. Still waiting on my MRI results to see what's what.

Debi & Lady I always feel sicky before AF arrives as well.

Pops I'm glad your scan was gr8. It is amazing how much love you feel for that picture, I still look at my DD scan picture and she's 11 now.

Stac How you doing? How far on are you again?

Care 'positive thoughts lead to positive things'- I love that quote 2. Don't think acupuncture would be good for me as I don't like needles either. Bit of a scaredy cat.

Emmy The waiting is the worst. Glad your blood test went ok.

Hi to anyone else, sorry if I missed you - my head's all mince the now and am trying to keep up with you all.

Well, I'm sure I defo ov CD14 which was yesterday. Still trying to get used to looking out for changes in CM. Got my day 21 bloods next Tuesday - what level are they looking for? Can anyone tell me?

Will keep positive thoughts going! Sticky baby dust ***

Fairygodmother1 · 17/02/2010 10:52

Lucy 39's not late at all.

Ven - me too but I feel even less pg today! If af is coming it had better get it's arse here soon so i can move on rather than being in limbo. BDed this morning to see if it'd get it moving - used to work when I was younger lol!

emmy - so you're TTC #1 too! It's nice to not be the only one still tryong for #1!!!

I enjoyed That prog last night & got teary when she finally had her baby but maybe I don't want to change my career to being a midwife!!!! lol

Morning all, how are you today?

shev i'm fine thanks, i am nearly 19wks. Hitting the halfway mark.

Was the woman on the programme really that bad? Still plucking up the courage to watch lol

ven how does the iui work? When do you get the jabs?

fairy the waiting game is crap isnt it. What you up to today?

emmy my mum was kind of the same, took her 8years to have my sis, but 20 years ago she wasnt offered any help as she had me so had to be grateful. I'm sure you will get your baby hun and this thread seems to be getting luckier

lucy 39 is no way too old. Do you want a girl this time or dont you mind?

Ladybird10 · 17/02/2010 12:52

Hi All

Popsy i cant wait for that feeling of such happiness. Im on CD28, my cycles are usually 29/30 days. I dont feel pregnant but it doesnt feel like af is on the way either, im sure she will turn up when i'm least expecting it.

Fairy i watched that programme last night, how annoying was that woman? i really hope im not like that..dont really think there is any need to scream that much. But i suppose i wont know till im in the same situation.

Shev i think the level needs to be over 30, mine was 103 on the first month of clomid which is very good apparently so i just stayed on the lowest dose of clomid.

Stac i bet your glowing at 19wks, have you had any cravings?

Hi all, how is everyone? My period only lasted 2 days this month which is unusual for me but still on the november bus .
Good luck to all ttc xxx

jobobpip08 · 17/02/2010 15:25

Hi everyone

How are you all, hello newcomers and how are all our mums-to-be?

Been having a very 'blah' kind of week and feeling very apathetic (or maybe just pathetic) and wondering if it will ever happen. Got my follicle scan on Friday but boy they're hurting already. Very uncomfortable. Still waiting on my blood test results and praying for it to be something real, not just in my head lol!

Half term weather has finally picked up here but DS was too tired to go to the beach until I has halfway through painting the shed. So we've compromised and will go tomorrow after his dental check up. Should give me a boost - it always makes me feel like I'm a million miles away from all my problems when I'm there. ladybird and debi it is 19 weeks on saturday so your right totally starting to fly in. I'm not sure if its cravings I am having or if I am just a grubber at the moment lol I have went off lots of things and totally love crisps called tangy toms

jobob great to hear from you hun, sorry your having a rotten time at the moment.Hows your half term been? DS goes back to school tomorrow yay lol

I had my physio appointment and I do have spd she has gave me some exercises and tips on the way i should be lying/sitting also says I have to talk to ds and dp about helping around the house for a few weeks cos if I take it easy and follow the advice I will should be better in 10 to 14 days so thats good news. Must admit sitting with the right posture is weird lol

becky are you ok? try to stay positive. did you have cd21 bloods to see if you ov'd?

hows everyones wednesday been?

Fairygodmother1 · 17/02/2010 18:27

Lady I assured DH that i won't be like that. Deb apparently the other woman's was only preg cos her friends all are. Lucky her that she can easily fall & what a cow cos I want one & she obviously doesn't! She was soooo rude!!!!

Stac today was lesson planning day. Went ok, kept my mind off things but just got back & threw up!!!! Don't know wha thats about. My head hurts now! My contact lenses have been blurry all day! CD35 today. Longest CD was 57.

JO so envious! The sea is the only thing that makes me feel calm & gets rid of my woes (does the same for my bil too - he has ADHD but it's not managed through drugs). We also got a holiday brochure for cornwall & Jersey today. I last went to Jersey when I was 15 & we stayed on a camp site near St Helier. That was the first time I'd ever been on a plane!

hi all

so fairy ladybird and deb you are all really close to testing. I'm massively keeping my fingers crossed for some bfp's very soon

stac - always good and welcome to get the rest of the family pitching in so you can put you feet up! Can't BELIEVE you are half way already

jobo - do you have the follicle scans every month? If they feeling tender thats a good sign of ovulation?

shev - how did you hurt your ankle? I know when I did my back a couple of weeks ago I was going crazy that I couldn't run or cycle. hope you get it sorted soon

emmy - are you on 50mg of clomid? I was on that dosage last time but this time had to go to 100mg

lucy - No you are deffo not too old, I had DD at 37 and now 42 ttc #2, now waiting for tests to see if I can use my own eggs at ivf

ven - how did your meeting with IUI nurse go?

becky - do you think the clomid has made your period shorter? that happened with me.

Spent the afternoon at the horrendously mobbed Science Museum. DD loved it but we couldn't do some of the interactive stuff as the queues were unbelievable (I complelety forgot that the world and his grandma would also be on half term!!) Rest for me this evening got a spin sesh tomorrow evening and DH promised to give me a leg massage later!

Stac mmm i love those tangy toms, so nice but one bag is never enough.

Fairy i definatley wont be like that girl, and if i am then i will make sure DP puts a sock in my mouth, i know labour must be painful but surely there is no need to scream like that...she was really annoying me towards the end, i think there are people that deserve babys more than her. They dont even own a hoover so how will they afford a baby?

Deb a BFP would be amazing wouldnt it? ive had mild ovary pain today that lasted a couple of minutes, no other pains yet...

xxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 17/02/2010 20:23

I've had some pretty painful periods since being on clomid - I haven't experienced labour yet but I think some of the period pains I've had are pretty near & I didn't make that much racket! Her mum was even telling her that she was embarrassing herself!

OP posts:
Debicemmy2 · 17/02/2010 20:31

ClureI wont be testing hun, until ive gone passed my longest cycle 42days (1st clomid cycle). Ive never tested yet whilst ive been on clomid...............AF always gets there before I get chance

Just been to watch Avatar.....................Was a fab film....anyone seen it yet? I really enjoyed it Made a nice change, Hubby didnt want to come so he too had a lovely time having a shower, shave and cooking

Jobo Never been to Jersey......always wanted too but not got round to it yet, im from Lancashire....we also have a place in Turkey so always look forward to summer hols..............off work around 12/13 wks. Oh how I look forward to the rest The perks of working in education eh

Hope you ALL well.

Clure · 17/02/2010 20:32

I didn't see this programme, sounds interesting. i can tell you that there is no pain in the world like being in labour, however I did not scream like a banshee

Fairygodmother1 · 17/02/2010 20:37

Thanks Clure! I think she was a bit of a wuss or a show off! You need to sky+ it or something. Got me a bit teary & a bit annoyed!

beckylou85 · 17/02/2010 23:35

Hi all, stac I did have the 21day blood test but never got the results think i'm going to get on to them tomorrow. clure this is the first time my period has been less than 4/5 days. I'm now on my 5th cycle of clomid and my periods have been normal until this month.
Hope everyone is well. fairy I really hope you get a BFP hun, that'll be great
Good luck to all ttc xxx

Shev40 · 18/02/2010 09:40

Hi,

Sounds like we're all going through it the now eh.. CD 16 for me today, I had bad pains down there yesterday that lasted about 40mins. I just hope that when I get my bloods done it proves that I have Ov!

Debi I'm from Fife, Scotland. Amazing how far apart everyone is but how close you feel being able to share what's on your mind.

Clure I done my ankle on 10th Oct last year at a 40th b/day party of my friends. Vodka, diet coke and an Irish Jig then BAM! Achilles tendon ruptured. I was in stookie from then until 7th Dec but it's not healing properly. Had to get MRI to see what's going on inside as it's pretty swollen still and extremely painful on walking. I've been off work since then, with the exception of 2 wks in Jan when I went back but too painful. However, I am going back to work 1st Mar, pain or no cos this staying at home lark is just not me....had enough of daytime television!

Hi to everyone else and stac 19wks, that's fab, bet you're so proud of your bump.

I previously went through IVF when trying for DD. 1st time they abandoned it as follicles not big enough but I then fell pg on my on 2 months later but sadly MC. 2nd attempt was done but failed, then I fell pg with DD after 2 months - there is hope so try and stay positive for everyone that's going to this stage. I think the boost of drugs they gave me kick started the ovaries, hence the 2 pg.

hi ladies

just popping in to let you know that i got the results of the bloods for downs and spina bifda and it came back as low risk which is great news

how is everyone today? fairy are you feeling any better? I have always had really bad af even before clomid, think the pcos can make them worse.

becky you should give them a phone for the results hun, its a pain having to wait about

emmy they say if you have clomid for 6 months and it doesnt work they like to move onto other things, but it is totally down to you. Clomid didn't work for me but metformin did

clure when you were at the science centre was there a film playing with ben kingsly in it? my friends son is also in it but not sure if its showing yet lol

baby dust to all*

stac14 · 18/02/2010 09:47

shev i am proud of it especially as i'm starting to show lol, i am in glasgow so not to far from you hun, the pains sound good hun xx
