Fairygodmother1 · 09/02/2010 18:37

I hear you pops! I can't wait either as didn't sleep too well. Had an amazing bought of S & D!!!! Then had two nightmares so head is very fuzzy today!

Congrats to Pink - you said it would happen when you went skiing!!!!

Also congrats to DP Stac. Clure i now know your bomb shell. I knew what is happening was happening but I never guessed that!!! Welcome to the team. lol!

pink - thats faaaaabulous, really pleased, another bfp

stac, good on DP! Lovely to hear lo is making him/herself known to you!

pops - how are you feeling? You are a teacher aswell aren't you? It's tiring this pg lark! As you say only 3 more get ups (or one more in my case, lazy part timer!!)

Deb - the old timed sex thing is a bit of a bore isn't it? Especially having a little one, a job, house-work etc etc I also train 4-5 days a week so the old bd-ing is sometimes low down on the list!!

shev- good you finished the clomid, you can "relax" a bit now!

fairy - how are you? I expect you have heard the latest at school? hope you are ok. I said to your class that i would try to pop in on friday to see Romeo & Juliet

jobo - how are you
Hope the rest of you ladies are well, I went for my final chiro session and I feel grand. Did bodypump last night but used lighter weight where back was concerned. This evening I am trying pilates to see if I can work on strengthening my back and core. I'm still waiting for AF. I have no more clomid to take as now I think I may have to wait to see what next course of action is for me. Think I may try to wait for natural AF rather than taking provera.
Have good evening all x

Fairygodmother1 · 09/02/2010 18:47

Clure like I said, knew about the thing weeks ago & knew it was coming. Your part in it all was the shock lol!!!!
Be good to see you Friday. Think DH is coming too!

I'm waiting on AF to appear but hope it's after Thurs if it's coming at all. GP is stupid, sent me a letter today in ref of cons letter to them saying that I need a smear done - no i don't it's a swab for Chly so will make sure they know that on Thurs!

Thank you everyone.

Stac congrats to your DP on his driving test. That's one test i wouldn't ever want to take again. I keep having sharp pains to the left of my tummy button (if looking down). I know that your uterus is very low so i'm just presuming it's everything else preparing to get sluggish again iykwim?

Good Luck to Everyone!!! Lots of baby dust to you all... i was giving up and this has given me totally new hope. xxx

jobobpip08 · 09/02/2010 20:15

Hey Pink absolutely fab news! Now no more skiing!!! All the cramping is perfectly normal, just the uterus already starting to accomodate baby. Bit scary tho, I know. Fab, fab, fab!

stac well done DP - a driving test is a biggie when you're older. My DH does have a licence but prefers to motorbike, so his driving skills are really rusty. Don't let DP get rusty - he has to take you to Maternity!! Taking it easy today?

clure yes, pilates is really good for core strength and rehabilitation. I was watching someone the other day on one, its looks like a really good low impact way to exercise.

fairy hows you? I've heard of S & M, but being a bit dim tonight, whats S & D? Can't even think of anything it might be?

Everyone else? What have you all been up to?

I had a lovely day with my angel mum friends and their babies, 7 and 11 months, so cute and chatty. Nice to have a chat with them about everything as they don't judge, don't recommend what I should do, just listen and comment when needed. Plus feed me!

Also had acunpuncture and she was pleased I'd had the blood tests done, I think shes hoping she'll be proved right about the thyroid cos it looks good when she is!!

Lastly parent/teacher night and yes, DS is a genius. Well, ok, not quite, but his reading is scarily good but he needs to stop being silly when he comes in and make good choices about who he sits next to (bless, its a tough life when you're 5)!

super sticky ski jump babydust xxxx

Ladybird10 · 09/02/2010 20:38

Congratulations pink its so exciting when you hear about another BFP, It really gives me hope, especially if you were told that you would never conceive naturally. You must be over the moon....

Hello to everyone, i really enjoy reading the posts on here, i dont feel so alone now that i have found this site.

Wonder who will be next for the BFP...

Baby dust to all *

stac14 · 09/02/2010 22:02

Hi ladies, thanks for the congrats dp is chuffed think he would have gave up if he hadnt passed this time.

pink I panicked at the start of this one as I had sharp pains on the right hand side, but an early scan showed everything was fine. Try not to worry and remember you can take paracetamol.

Roll on half term, no having to rush to school lol will post properly tomorrow I'm off to bed Take care xx

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 17:51

Did anyone watch the new tv programme on C4 about labour? I couldnt I have sky+ but I'm kind of scared about it lol going to build up the courage to watch so I can show dp what he's in for, his ex had a c-section so he doesnt know what its like xx

beckylou85 · 10/02/2010 19:07

Hi all, stac I don't want to test till saturday if possible. AF due now so I want to give her time to arrive, I hope she doesn't though .
How is everyone? I've been quite tearful over the last few days, especailly yesterday. My car broke down again I just sat and cried then a lady stopped in her car to see if I was ok as she'd seen me crying so then I felt a little daft .
fairy when are you thinking about testing?
Hope everyone is ok
Good luck to all ttc xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 19:11

Hi Stac I missed it too & wanted to watch it!
Feeling tired but it's end of term. No AF today...hope it doesn't come tomorrow as have my swab.

Aww Pops - wasn't the best day here. Had chat with HR today & they were as helpful as a chocolate teapot (scrub that, chocolate teapot would have been great - about as helpful as the pope having free contraceptives!!!)

beck was gonna test sat or sun but I've got an ultrasound to check on my PCOS ready for IVF on Sunday so maybe they might spot something then so maybe get out of it lol.

I don't think I am. Boobs a little achy & feel a bit bloated but thats it. Prob PMT as everything was annoying me the other day.

Ladybird10 · 10/02/2010 19:30

Hi all

I watched that programme last night, one born every minute, i think that progranne could put people off having baby's but not me, i think all that pain would be well worth it when you have your bundle of joy, by what ive heard some labours are easier than others...DP wondered what was going on as all he could hear from the other room was screaming lol
I just think its all amazing

CD 21 and have been having pain from my ovarys since CD12, felt really tearful today and started crying on DP when he came home. So nice that he is so understaning and just give me lots of hugs and says all the right things

Good Luck to all xx

popsy1 · 10/02/2010 19:40

Also had a chat with HR on Monday. Not looking good for maternity pay Had to tell head im pg (didn't want to til after 12wks) and hopefully they can sort something out!!!

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 20:37

Pops How come it not looking good for maturnity pay? You should still get SMP!

xxx

OP posts:
popsy1 · 10/02/2010 20:47

I've been at the school for almost 7 yrs but I've switched from a non-teaching role to a now teaching role the pay comes from different areas. I apparently have to work 1 yr before I get full maternity pay! The head is leaving at Easter so I need to get this sorted asap. She's gunna talk to HR and then chair of govs.
It's all good fun........I supose. How's yr sch at mo?
Xx

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 21:04

Meetings today haven't given people much hope.
I feel totally drained really (thats why typing/spelling is off!) & don't know how much effort I want to put in but I'm also very competitive & don't want to let my kids down.

It's so hard...Also I feel like i can't say we're trying for a baby in case it goes against me, worried that when I am or if the IVF comes up soon then that might go against me, like you say - find a new job & the SMP will be rubbish! If only I was now - I could take redundancy rather than maternity leave & look for a new job once baby was born. If only life could be that simple!!!

CareBear1 · 10/02/2010 22:14

Hi all,
Popsy u been employed by the same school all that time?

Fairy I know what u mean, it seems a definate gap in employment law that there is loads of protection and support for people once they are pregnant or have children but not whilst going through ttc.

cd29 for me - feel very typically pre AF and reckon she will start any day.

stac14 · 11/02/2010 09:37

popsy thats a crap situation hun, but you may be entitled to other benefits when on maternity leave, also if your unsure of what your entitled you could try contacting employment law and discuss your situation with them. Would mean you have the knowledge for when you talk to HR hun. Try not to worry

fairy and clure doesnt sound like you two are having the best time at work either, are they cutting staff? fairy how you feeling about the scan at the weekend?

becky oh bet yoy can't wait till sunday, fingers crossed for you, what a valentines gift that would be

ladybird it can be the clomid making your hormones go all over the place, dp said last night i was like jeckyl and hyde when i was on it. But its all worth it. Hope your not too sore.
Well lo is kicking quite regularly, still trying to get used to it lol my backs much better, thanks for the advice clure, i go to the physio next week for spd, may need some strengthening exercises. Ds's last day at school for a week so iam looking forward to some nice days with him, although i suspect i will be ditched for his friends lol xx

Pinkali37 · 11/02/2010 09:55

popsy how far are you? I think i am 5 weeks. Have had a very mild form of the pain just before your period starts. did you have the same thing?

Fairygodmother1 · 11/02/2010 18:15

Stac I have a fantasy (although I've tried to stop myself) that they'll tell me something might possibly be in there! lol. On day 29 & no af yet but might be late if I did ovulate late. Had swab done today & nurse didn't say I might be coming on.
Kinda excited that the ball is positioned to start rolling. Will contact cons sec on Mon to say I've had all the tests done & that she can put me on the list!
care you are a day ahead of me. Did Af arrive?

Pink have you booked in yet?
