Hi everyone,

Well Friday night, mmmmm, I ain't feeling too gr8 today. My boobs are killin me and I just wanna curl up and go to sleep. I never normally get such sore ones. I'm only CD 17 for *** sake.

As you can tell, I'm not in a very good mood. DP away out, DD at a sleepover. Me (as the song goes) All by myself...don't wanna be....all by myself...

Tv's kack as well. Being at home is really doing my head in - making the days longer. Can't wait to get back to work. 2day I had a panic - conception and weddings, jeez, talk about stressing. Went to see the wedding dress shop cos (fingers crossed) if I do conceive, wanted to know if my wedding dress be adjusted. Thank god there is scope to do so. As you can imagine took a weight off my shoulders.

Stac my emotions today showed themself when I read your reply to my previous post. Started blubbering after I read your response - what am I like, numpty

Anyhow, sorry for the long post, I'm away to feel sorry for myself again. Have a good wkend

hi all

did a 14k run before breakfast and back held up fine, am currently suffering a sore hamstring muscle which I think is related to my back problem. Anyway, feeling ok. mind you think my glands are a bit swollen and hoping it won't develop into anything nasty before school starts. Think I've been overdoing it this hols, so much work to do.

shev and Deb are you taking evening primrose oil? I used to take it specifically for very sore boobs (only take it till ovulation if ttc)

hope you have a good day today fairy

hi all, and hoping you all enjoy the weekend, we taking DD to her friends birthday party later (bracing myself as its at indoor playcentre!) xxxxxxxxx

shev did you ask nurse about the breast pain?

debi I am fine thanks, how are you?

clure hows your hamstring? that is some run you did, how many miles is 14k?

Hey to everyone else, how are you all and what are you doing with your sunday? xxx

Venetia2 · 21/02/2010 12:23

Hi all, Have been lurking again as so busy this week.

Thanks for asking about the IUI meeting Stac and Clure, it went well. They have decided to start me next month which is good as I get one more go at doing it (nearly) naturally with the Clomid.

The nurse is really nice and it all sounds pretty simple, just Clomid (a bigger dose than I have now-75mg) then a couple of injections after thats finished and another injection to induce ov. Haven't collected injections yet because they have to be kept in the fridge and i am not sure I want to look at them all month! Am getting my hopes up again that this will be my month, have not even ov yet so completely bonkers really but oh well.

Am doing my temp every day and charting it, maybe that will help. Even drinking grapefruit juice, although it is giving me heartburn.

Fairy and Lady sorry that AF got you. Hope you are both taking care of yourselves.

Yummy I am so sorry about your HSG experience, I hope the sedation makes it easier for you, will it be different people doing it (could you ask for it to be someone else?).

Hello to everyone else! Hope you are all having relaxing weekends.

Went shopping yesterday for some bits we need for the house and tried (not very hard) not to look at the baby furniture. Can't even watch One born every minute because its to upsetting, so not really sure why I am tormenting myself with cots. Anyone else doing deranged things like this (Apart from those of you with good reason e.g. Stac etc

Did also tell my boss at work about the IUI, I think the number of appointments might be hard to explain in an obviously fit person otherwise, he was really nice about it, quite refreshing really.

Hello ladies hope you all had a lovely half term. It goes way to fast!! Not looking forward to returning to work, seem to have lost my enthusiam for work lately
Theres been so many posts will try and catch up.
Jo i'm so envious of you living near the beach, i love the beach, we live miles away. I live in The Midlands. How are you feeling now? Have you had your resukts back?
fairy and lady so sorry AF arrived sending hugs your way ladies []] How are you both today?
Ven i think we have to remain hopeful each month hun. Glad things are getting starting for you re iui. How are ypou feeling about the process? I also had hideous heart burn from grapefruit juice!
Anyway school work calling chat later
xx

Venetia2 · 21/02/2010 13:27

Popsy I know you are right about keeping your hopes up, I am torn between great optimism and trying very hard not to get my hopes up in order to avoid yet more disappointment.

Generally I am trying to think positive but being realistic too.

Being on Clomid gives me major mood swings which affect how well I achieve a balenced view!!

Am feeling quite good about the IUI, I know the success rate isn't huge but the consultant did say that about half of the couples would achieve pregnancy after 3 cycles at their clinic, and we get IVF on the NHS in our area too, so that sounds OK, also I am fit and have got my weight up to a level my consultant thinks is "acceptable" so thats good too. (Lost lots of weight when my father was dying and I was very stressed, not deliberately). In fact no-one has been able to find anything wrong at all, almost wish they could so we could fix it.

I sympathise about the work, I am checking MN too much writing a report today.

Fairygodmother1 · 21/02/2010 13:43

Afternoon - bit of a bad night - If i wasn't cuddling my hotwaterbottle then I had pain, then i needed the loo, then i had to change so finally got off to sleep at about half 2 only to wake at half & to change, pain killers & another hotwater bottle.

Feeling much better today. had a walk into town & a bit of a shop. Got a bit of a headache but think it's the depressing rain.

glad you are doing well Pops but totally feeling your lack of enthusiasm. Gonna get my personal statement finished today to get the job hunting underway.

ven I'm just waiting on my appointment for IVF (be a few months yet. I get 2 rounds free as far as I can make out).

Hi Stac hope you are well. Got any snow?

Its easier said than done ven Hubby was always the positive one and you sound alot like me in regards to emotions. I was scared to be too optimistic as its further to fall when AF arrives. It was very up and down!! A rollercoaster of emotions, which is why its so great having people that understand on mn.
Sorry about you dad i hope you had lots of support aound you. Glad you have got your weight sorted so you can proceed further. I think you are right in regrds to finding things wrong so they can be fixed.
Back to parents evo notes!! But silly me has left al the books at school, so writing it off the top of my head!!! Not good with the way my brain is lately
Take care
xx

Venetia2 · 21/02/2010 13:59

Popsy I had lots of support when Dad was ill, Mum and I had help from the hospice and DH was great too, I just never really put the weight back on until recently, don't know why.

Fairy we get 2 cycles of IVF and then 2 frozen cycles too, which seems really generous, I thought the NHS only gave people one or two goes usually. Do you get frozen cycles too? (Might be worth checking if you need more than 2 goes, the success rate is less I think but still boosts your chances)

stac14 · 21/02/2010 14:01

Hi ladies, I suppose it sounds easy for popsy and I to say keep positive and I know how hard it is while taking clomid and thinking about all the next steps in this nightmare of ttc. If I am honest I really struggled to stay positive. When I fell pregnant I had got to the stage were I thought it would never happen for us. The problem is ttc takes over our lives leaving little room for anything else. I hope when you both feel a little better you can see the way forward lots of virtual {{{hugs}}} for you

fairy so sorry af is so horrid this month, I felt the clomid done that to me too. Hope your relaxing as much as possible. I'm fine thanks, no snow at the moment but its sunny and freezing. DS has a rotten cold that I think may be becoming a chest infection so have to keep an eye on him. Hows the personal statement coming on?

popsy how are you? my mind is mush just now too, hope you get your notes done, rotten about having to go back to work for you all, sometimes I miss it but other times I love the fact that at the moment I am a sahm

Thinkin of you all at the moment and sending many positive vibes and baby dust your way, your time will come. In the great words of the band journey dont stop believing (wow how cheesy was that lmao) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

stac14 · 21/02/2010 14:03

sorry missed a few post in between taking ages to post ven so sorry about your dad, sounds like you had a rough time hun xx

popsy1 · 21/02/2010 14:33

Cant believe we r at 300 posts already!!

We've had snow here and there's more forecast!

We were posting at the same time again Fairy. Really sorry that AF is a painful one. Congrats to hubby on new job

I hope you dont think i was being patronising about keeping positive. It wasn't intended to be. I was all over the place emotionally, maybe with grief as well. I was, at times, so low and never thought it was going to happen. With our history and 6 new months of clomid i was convinced it wasn't to be. You ladies have helped me through some of the hardest times of my life, i hope i can help you too

xxx

stac14 · 21/02/2010 15:26

I totally agree with you popsy thats another reason I wanted to stick around with you ladies, we all know what its like to be on this rollercoaster xxx
