hi, I just wanted to let you know I got a BFP this morning .. It was a FR test and the line was faint but definitely there. Will need to test obsessively again just to make sure it's all definite...

looks like November's shaping up to be a lucky month ! can't wait for all the BFP announcements

Ariesgirl · 23/02/2010 20:46

luckyseven, sometimes I think you can have too much information. It's meant to be empowering but it can drive you wild with confusion. I'm not saying this from experience of TTc by the way, but from my observations of life! My SIL heard about my temp taking and told me to stop immediately and just concentrate on good healthy shagging! This is from someone who spent years trying, who had severe endometriosis and ended up having IVF.

zenthinking - lots of congratulations. All the best.

Icedlemonmuffin · 23/02/2010 21:00

Congrats to all the BFPs really envious of you all !

Feels like red tide of doom not far off so have reserved back seat of dec bus !!

I am trying to stay hopeful it will happen but the more hopeful I get the harder I fall.

rosieposey · 23/02/2010 22:14

Im about to join you in reserving a seat on Dec bus iced as i have the usual dull crampy pains that signal AF is only a day or so away.

After all the drama of the last couple of days just want to get on with ttc again so will be glad when i can get started with day 1 of cycle again.

Congratulations Zen

LadyBee · 23/02/2010 22:53

Congrats Zen - lovely news
and welcome luckyseven

bunnygirl80 · 24/02/2010 08:43

I've been away for a few days and it's nice to come back to see some new BFPs - congrats to you all.

We're still SWI - although very quietly as the ILs have been staying with us and our bedroom walls are very thin. They've gone now though so we should be able to actually enjoy ourselves tonight

PollyPoo · 24/02/2010 09:32

Congrats to all the BFPs!

Well, it is CD25 today - a day that I have not reached in 3 months due to ridiculously short cycles. Bad news is my temp took a nosedive this morning so the red witch will doubtless be here by tomorrow. Gar. Still - its a step in the right direction, just need to get that cycle a little bit longer!

Anyone POAS today?

stuffedmk · 24/02/2010 09:50

WOW! Congrats to all the BFPs!! This Bus is looking like a good one to be on
Have decided to keep trying this month and if it happens then the black belt will be motivation after baby to get in shape. However, after this month I will have a break for a couple of months. I would prefer to avoid a december/january baby anyway, and that should cover the grading aswell. So we will see what happens. DH was a bit funny about me being picky (and I only spoke to him about the xmas thing, haven't mentioned the grading). I think he thinks it is sensible but, I dunno, he is mostly only going along with TTC#2 because I have been so upset about him not wanting to for years, not because he is enthusiastic about another child. Don't get me wrong he will be a great dad to another DC, just as he is to DS but me getting choosy didn't go down all that well.

Mind you, don't be too shocked if that plan goes out of the window if I don't conceive this month lol

Lorelai · 24/02/2010 09:55

Hi all. I was on the October bus with not much luck, so hopefully this one will be better for me! Can someone add me to the list please (can't copy and paste on my iPod)?

Polly repeat after me - "I have just had a implantation dip, I have just had an implantation dip.....". Well I have tried to fool believe that I have had one, but obviously not as still not won a baby on lottery. 25 days is a milestone though.

Tea that is rubbish - our stupid bodies just don't know what they should be doing.... They should know we want to have babies and go on and make one. Here are one of my chocolate muffins I made the other day. They are totally yummy.

Waves at everyone else!

TeaFan · 24/02/2010 10:18

Sorry about your BFN sunshine, I have more refined sugar and alcohol at the back of this bus than you can shake a POAS stick at tho', should cushion the blow if you come to join me

Was thinking of starting a thread for those of us TTC 12 months+ but i'm scared no-one will write on it

addictedtomn · 24/02/2010 10:22

hello again everyone, and hi lorelai, i remember you from oct.

right then, for thoes that dont remember i'll re-cap my situation then maybe you can help!

i'm having an operation in 2 weeks time (we found out after this cycle started) to give me some info on why i keep mcing, me and dh stopped trying this month (around cd12), because of the op, and using condoms as protection, however we are both really crap at remembering to use them, so also used 'no sex over 7 days of fertile period' however the last time we had sex before fertile period we forgot to use protection.
my af is due, but i have no inclination that its about to start. i need to go and buy a preg test but i'm really scared. i have this gut feeling that i am and i want to be but i dont want another mc, which is why i need this operation. i'm going to get dressed then iff to buy a preg test, please can you hold my hand, and i'll post as soon as i know

Thanks for the sympathy Louja, I fear I am turning into a desperate woman!

I was going to be made redundant in April but now have a position to stay on...I try to convince myself that this is a good thing but know I am not going to enjoy the new role at all. Have agreed with DP that i'll stay on for the cash until I have a baby then just not come back but let's just say I now have more motivation than ever to make it happen soon!

addictedtomn · 24/02/2010 10:24

sorry i took so long posting that i missed everyone else's posts!

Loujalou · 24/02/2010 10:34

I was going to set up a bus for those p*ed off with being on so many buses.

Tea you need to just tie DH onto bed at SWI time and make sure the lucky sperm is there.

Icedlemonmuffin · 24/02/2010 11:05

Tea and Lou you should do a joint bus 'trying for ages and now have sore ladybits from SWIing!!'

I would join (turned into a bus whore trying to keep my mind off arrival of af)

Loujalou · 24/02/2010 11:15

Go on Iced start the bus. There are some others on this bus who would probably join. You can bring your muffins along specially if they are boozy ones.

TeaFan · 24/02/2010 11:17

Lol 'bus whore' That's sums it up nicely!

Addictedtomn am thinking of you, let us know the result

Loujalou · 24/02/2010 11:19

Addicted got my fingers crossed for you - doesn't sound like you are having much fun at the moment.

sunshineandstrawberries · 24/02/2010 11:37

TeaFan I'll join you on the +12 months!

Zen Congratulations

Addicted how are you going on? Have you POAS yet?

I need wine and chocs. Still no AF, just tiny spotting. Its just not fair.

VodkaGirl77 · 24/02/2010 11:38

Hiya

Thanks for the congratulations and congratulations to those who have since got their BFPs. Sympathy to those for whom the witch has arrived

Can I ask a stupid question please? I've now done 4 tests all of which are BFPs, but haven't told the OH yet, as after last month's chemical pg I just don't want to get his hopes up too early. However, when I do tell him I want to get the Clearblue digital and show him the pregnant message. My question is - how long does the message stay on the test - is it just a short time, or does it stay on for a while? Told you it was a stupid question

TIA

SilverBoots · 24/02/2010 11:44

Big congratulations to all the new BFPs!

So sorry to hear that Lia, hope you are OK.

Rosie - I had exactly the same thing happen to me too & on Monday. Tis a bummer. Bloody evap lines, I was very excited for a couple of minutes though!

Hi & welcome to all who have joined recently!

Any news yet addicted ??

I'm still getting BFNs, it's all part of my morning routine now - willing that second line to appear ... & it doesn't.

Loopy - I'm trying Shettles for a girl - has gone a bit awry this month though.

Boots x

(Did you know that Superdrug are BOGOFF on First Response?? They found their way into my basket this morning)
