Lia sending you a very un-mumsnetty hug. I hope you and your DH are looking after each other.

liahgen66 · 21/02/2010 11:20

Thanks lou am pissed off but ok. Like we are when bloody period arrives month after month.

Am passing round bacon butties and freshly squeezed orange juice if anyone would like one

Loujalou · 21/02/2010 11:22

Our bodies like to play tricks. This from the girl who monthly thinks she must be pregnant. I have been doing this a lot of months too.

CherryPie3 · 21/02/2010 12:00

Lia I'm so sorry!! Won't be long tho I'm sure Hope to see you and everyone else on a/n boards soon!!!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

beckylou85 · 21/02/2010 12:07

hey fairy fingers crossed this bus is our lucky bus!
Hi to everyone! Another lazy sunday for me as the snow has stopped me going anywhere, not that i need much of an excuse to stay in my warm house .
good luck to all ttc xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 21/02/2010 13:23

Loujalou When people ask me when I'm gonna have kids I now just say, when they arrive - no-one ever questions that further! I've almost been married a year so the persistant questions will be very soon. maybe I'll just say I don't want them & see the shock on their faces! Know how you're feeling about bodies playing tricks! So unfair.

hi beck not too bad today as long as i keep ontop of the painkillers. Not as bad as last month so thats sonething to be grateful for Fingers def crossed for this bus cos I really don't want a Dec baby as my nephew's b'day is a week before xmas & I was moaning when he was born that my bro didn't plan that well!!!!

Guessing you're in the North as my friend text to say she's got loads of snow. Just rain here.

xx

Ariesgirl · 21/02/2010 13:35

Fairygodmother, I've been married 7 and a half years and people have given up asking! I used to not want children and when people asked if we were going to and I said no they used to ask "oh, why not?" That used to make me very cross. When someone said they wanted or were planning a baby, I never used to ask "oh, why's that then?". I just change the subject as I don't think it's anyone else's business. But looking at it, I see that our family and friends have been remarkably good and tactful, it's the people who we don't know well who are the people who always say "Why?"

ILoveGregoryHouse · 21/02/2010 14:29

Lia sorry . Hope we'll see you on the November antenatal board. Enjoy the bacon sarnie and the swi. mmmmmmm, bacon sarnie...(no swi for ilgh or mrilgh for a wee while).

TeaFan · 21/02/2010 15:41

So sorry Lia, fingers crossed it happens soon... a bacon sarnie and fresh orange juice sounds fab, thanks

My boobs hurt like hell and i've started getting cramps, am guessing my period will be here any day now Really got my hopes up this month

Evening all

Many congrats to Maclaren - fab news

So sorry Lia at your news

I missed the bacon banjo's this morning - anyone fancy a large G&T? I'm going to have one to wash down a hotdog - classy eh?

SWI-city here as I have no idea what's happening to my bod. Think the bf is buggering things up. Had what I think was ov pain this morning so have jumped DP at 4pm

PollyPoo · 21/02/2010 19:22

Lia sorry to hear your news, I hope you are doing ok.

Jet I will join you - pour me a v large one, I could do with it... Witch still not here, but my enormous sore comedy norks have deflated and I'm all crampy now so won't be long. Have just realised this was month 22 not 21. How fecking depressing.

JetLi · 21/02/2010 19:52

Oh Polly - here's a LARGE tanqueray and tonic, with ice and a slice. I'll crack open the export strength 40% proof stuff for you

PollyPoo · 21/02/2010 20:14

Thanks Jet I needed that

JetLi · 21/02/2010 20:19

Sante, cheers, kampai Polly - only the merest soupcon of tonic water this time

PollyPoo · 21/02/2010 20:39

Hah, an alki drinker after my own heart! Fill her up again and lets crack open the green and blacks while we are at it.

Loujalou · 22/02/2010 08:58

I hate the bliming snow. Had a fun morning planned now am stuck indoors. If it wasn't so early I could have some booze, instead I have yummy left over pizza. Not sure it will be so nice cold but was lovely. Anyone interested?

PollyPoo · 22/02/2010 09:23

Ooh I love cold pizza for breakfast, thanks Lou. What were your plans today? We have got pissing rain and horrible misty greyness, so I'd much rather have snow.

No red tide of doom yet, but still feels about ready to flow. Off to visit my ma today for TLC. I might have to pretend I am 1) 4 yrs old, and 2) Ill, so I can lie on the sofa with my head in her lap while she strokes my hair and tells me everything will be ok. [sappy cow emoticon)

Loujalou · 22/02/2010 09:47

Awwww.... Sometimes mums can be great. My mum was awesome when Adi was born, we have had our moments since but they are useful creatures.

Was going to take Adi to a group and then go to the gym, whilst he was at creche. Instead am seeing some friends which will be lovely too, just need to get out in the snow [hate snow emoticon].

Pizza has sausages on it - which I know in some parts of MN are frowned on but they are made by the lovely lady at the farmers market and are totally lush.

stuffedmk · 22/02/2010 10:04

Morning ladies.
Cold pizza...yum!!!
I have something even better though.....My chicken's first ever egg [proud chicken mummy emoticon] lol

I am having a bit of a dilema and need to put my thoughts down so I apologise for the ramblings
I have been doing karate for a few years now and have recently been given a date for my all important black belt grading. The dilema I face is whether to hold off TTC until after the end of May which is when said grading is being held.
I can do some stuff while pregnant (if it ever happens ) but to grade to black you have to endure complete exhaustion for hours followed by a bit of a beating (for want of a better word lol) so there is no way I could do it. Obviously, even if I keep TTC I may not fall pregnant before then anyway, but if I did it will probably be at least a couple of years until I would be in any shape to attempt the grading......assuming I go back to training after a baby.
My head tells me it's only 3 months to wait and I should do it so I won't regret anything. I just have the constant fear of DH changing his mind again.....I have been waiting for 8 years for him to agree to a second child, now he has finally said yes I really can't stand the idea of putting it off any longer.
I suppose it would mean I would avoid a birthday too close to the expense of christmas. And I could use the time to shift those last few pounds that got stuck on my belly over the mince pie period lol .
I guess I know what I should do really...it is just so hard to make that decision.

SWI time is not far away so I need to decide

JetLi · 22/02/2010 10:07

Another taker for cold pizza here please Lou - blardy snow means pram walk has been cancelled (tis the highlight of my week since involves copious amounts of pork products in the cafe afterwards). Rather cold pizza than yet more porridge

Could anyone fancy a hot chocolate this morning?

stuffedmk · 22/02/2010 10:13

Yeah, pass the hot chocolate....chocolate helps me think.....honest
