Why are you all wondering which one of us is Danni Minogue - isn't it obvious?? OzzieGirly !!!!!!!

Sorry AF got you Chance and Chalky. At least your cycles are calming down though Chalky, which makes the 2WW a bit more bearable.

Hoping - I'm on the CBFM aswell. I really like being able to pinpoint ovulation exactly, although it is a total pain in the arse having to POAS every morning for ten days!

Thanks Hermia - I am desperate to graduate to Roses' new thread!

Bunny - I could have written your last post myself last month. It was the first month that I really felt that I could have been pregnant and the first month that I couldn't bring myself to test. Too hopeful and too scared in case it was a BFN. In the end I wished I had tested as I ended up getting my hopes stupidly high . Hope you have better luck!

Drewsgirl - LOL at your mum needing sex without protection explained to her!!! My mum would probably faint if I told her we were actively TTC.

WhiteRoses - how did the docs go today?? And what was your bosses reaction when you told him yesterday? (Sorry if I've missed that - I've been looking but can't find you talking about it anywhere!) Hope its all going well.

OK, I need a stern talking too. I have got myself worked up and its probably nothing. Im at work and earlier this morning I was trying to get something from under a desk. Did a massive stretch (rather than just attempting to get it another way) and as I did I felt a really sharp pain, where I would imagine my fallopian tubes/ top left of my womb would be. It was like I'd pulledsomething. And although that feeling has died down I still feel really achey - the feeling I get before AF comes. So I have totally convinced myself that I've managed to damange a little beans chances of implanting and I've totally fucked my chances of a BFP this month. Am I being insane?? Im remembering hearing that pg women shouldnt strech and I figure its for that exact reason. Worry, worry, worry. I would hate it if I'd finally managed to get pg this month and then blown it with my own stupidty. Gaaahhhh!

OP posts:
Hermya321 · 14/01/2010 12:40

pixie I just goggled 'pregnant women shouldn't stretch' and well I came up with nothing that would suggest that you shouldn't. Also remember that lots of pg women do yoga and pilatees. I was in a very full on dance class for a year with a pregnant woman and her baby arrived very much safe and sound. Ballet dancers still go to class when they're pg and from prior experience I can tell you that you twist in some very inhumane ways and they're still fine. I don't think you've blown it by any stretch of the imagination. The human body is a tough little thing and so are baby beans. Besides if you have pulled anything it would be one of your tummy muscles if you have been stretching.

Don't worry take a deep breath, go get yourself a cup of tea and try to relax because worry can add to muscle pain. Our bodies are weird strange little things.

Hope that helps!

capricorn76 · 14/01/2010 13:28

Hi girls,

Wow this thread moves fast! sorry in advance if I've failed to get back to anyone.

@Calyx, Claireinthecommunity and Chancewouldbeafinething - Thanks for the encouragement. I should have joined earlier as its good to hear positive stories and I've been letting TTC get me down especially as nearly everyone I know seems to be pregnant or has recently given birth.

I'm starting Acupuncture on Monday and will start Yoga the week after. I started drinking wheatgrass last week and I'm trying to think positively.

@Hermya321 - I've read that you should cut down caffeine but I don't think one cup a day will make much of a difference. Early on in my TTC mission I cut out alcohol, caffeine etc and was miserable so now I drink one cup of coffee a day and drink about 2-3 units of alcohol a week. I think depriving yourself of things you like just makes you stressed out (I've totally stopped smoking though although I was only on about 5 a week, mainly on a weekend anyway so it wasn't hard to stop).

claireinthecommunity · 14/01/2010 18:56

Hello all

Muser, so sorry to hear you are taking yourself off the list. I had a couple of months break from TTC and found it truly beneficial (I'd been getting pretty down and stressed by it all, as well as other factors) - hope to see you again soon, take care

And sorry to hear of your AF chalky and chance.

Fulham, Lilly is a lovely name - very pretty have you found WhiteRoses graduates PG thread yet?

Pixie, I've done that too!, not by stretching for something but by sneezing! I felt a sharp pain and suddenly got all worried about what I might of dislodged I'm sure it happened when I wasn't TTC too, so, probably nothing to worry about - Good advice Hermya

Ooh capricorn, what does wheatgrass taste like?

I'm almost past my fertile time now and am about to begin the dreaded 2WW, DH and I have been very active this month hopefully it will be enough.

DrewsGirl · 14/01/2010 19:41

Hoping/Pixie - and anyone else with a CBFM - is it worth it? I have bought a pack of CB ov sticks which were £20 i was just a bit put off by the fact that a CBFM was £100! If it works though its worth it.

HopingGotASnowyDayInTheEnd · 14/01/2010 20:10

Hi Drewsgirl,

Well, if you are as much of a control freak person who likes to know what's going on as I am, then yes it is definitely worth the investment!

I got mine from Amazon and it was only £60ish.

As I had had no cycle at all for nearly 5 years, and the Doc said it would probably take about 6 months to 'get back to normal'. I would just rather know whether I had ov'd or not, otherwise I would have been keeping First Response in business singlehandedly while I obsessively P'dOAS

Dh though it hilarious how excited I got when I started showing 'Highs' and then Ov'd - it was just nice (and reassuring) that things were working as they should.

I guess the main advantage is that it tells you when you are about to ovulate, so you can, ahem, take action early (and take advantage of the fact that the 'swimmers' can live for a few days in your tubes), rather than the OPKs which I believe tell you when you have already ov'd, in which case you only have about 24 hours of your fertile time left in which to do the do.

BFN last month, but keeping everything crossed for this time round!

Pixie How exciting! I know what you mean re the POAS - it is especially troublesome as I do a lot of travel, so have some serious time-zone issues with the testing window - my tiny brain is unable to work out when I should be setting the testing window for...

I'm sure you will be fine with the stretching, as some other posters have said, pilates/yoga is actively recommended for pg women so I am sure no harm done - will be keeping everything crossed for you this month!

Thanks to everyone else for welcoming me - lets hope there will be many lovely BFPs for us this month

WorrisomeHeart · 14/01/2010 20:20

Wow, I can't believe how fast this thread moves now! Will try and catch up...

Hobnob I don't want to add to the hyper-excitement but I've got to say that all sounds really promising - particularly the veiny boobs!

Whiteroses I'm so pleased you're sticking around - I love your long posts, and will also be lurking on your AN thread (and hoping to join soon!) How was the docs?

bunnygirl sure is sounding promising - any news?

aly and chance - I have a similar situation in that I'm a marathon-widow...DH runs ridiculous miles every week and I don't know if he's really thought about the cutting down thing - when I suggested it he said that surely the fact that he exercises is a better thing than not at all... I don't know but to be honest he gets so 'climbing-the-walls'ish if he doesn't run I don't want to push it!!

drew - mega lol at your mum asking if you're practising!

claire will be joining you on the 2ww soon - argh!

I have to say that I'm in a funny place about it all this month - I guess because I've got the clinic booked for the start of next cycle, so I'm almost not bothered about this one - daft huh? However, having said that, it would be great to be able to call the clinic and cancel because of a BFP! We've taken a different tack this cycle and started BDing slightly later than normal (in an effort to keep momentum going until my temp peaks, which is normally around 17/18). I don't know if this wil help but it keeps us slightly more sane!!!!

Anyway, welcome, welcome to the newbies. This is a great thread to be on!

Have a fantastic Friday everyone!

fudgecat · 14/01/2010 21:00

evening all

warm welcome to hopinggotasnowydayintheend and hermmia321 chance why not hide his cycle clips?

the sore books sound promising hobnob76 and bunnygirl80

drewsgirl lol at your mum! i would want the ground to open up and swallow me if my mum said that to me

hermya321 i wouldnt worry too much about caffeine - tbh the only major risk would be spilling a hot cuppa on your DP's bits!!

Lilly is a great name fulham you must be so excited

Not much news from me, had a very boring day in the office . Its another 7 days til AF is due and i have promised myself not to test early this time. Dont think that this is "the month" tho as i have been in such a foul mood all day and thats a sure sign that AF is on its way

mumnerves · 14/01/2010 21:11

Good luck everyone within 2ww

drewsgirl lol at your mum! It's something my mum would say too if I'd told her

Hobnob76 · 14/01/2010 21:12

Thanks Worrisomeheart and fudgecat sore boobs do sound like a good symptom but according to FF I had the exact same cramping and sore boobs last month so not going to read anything into it at all.

I've felt like rubbish all day! Had major tummy cramps, a little like AF being here but no sign or spotting. Still got sore boobs, tmi but my nips seem to be stuck out a lot! :laugh2: I'm tired but that could be due to not sleeping very well, and my skin on my face has broken out with eczema, like it does when I'm about to be ill, and had a high temp for the last 2 days, maybe I've got some sort of virus.

chancewouldbeafinething · 14/01/2010 22:02

OH no..i have been dreading having to give up coffee and diet coke - alcohol was no problem, but my morning coffee...that will be hard.
Is it really something that can hinder ttc? i know that you shouldnt have too much of it but surely a little???

my past few cycle lengths have been anywhere from 21 to 28 days, so this month i have decided to POAS until i get the dates right!I am stocked up on CB tests(...man they must be making some dosh)

whoever updates the stats next can you change mine to todays:
chancewouldbeafinething TTC#1 cycle 3 UCL21-28 CD4

Good luck for anyone BDing

Hermya321 · 14/01/2010 22:36

Drewsgirl Seriously check out ebay, I've found a couple on there going for almost half what you've seen.

Hobnob76 I seriously laughed at your tmi re sticky out nips and couldn't help but think of those nipple daisys they sell in La Senza which made me laugh even more. I really hope that you get a lovely suprise this month!!!

chance I've been my normal info hording geeky self and researched (asked other MN) about caffine and apparently you can have either 3 cups of coffee per day or six cups of tea and be ok. You're not supposed to have over 300mg's a day or something like that. I'm the same as you though, I don't think I would be able to face life without my morning cuppa.

I went out and bought fruit tea today which is something I normally hate. But, I added some honey to it and it actually tasted pretty good so I may have found a solution to at least several cups of my caffine addiction.

I always wonder though, my Mum said she was told to drink guiness when she was pregnant with me and she's also the biggest tea pot going. I mean I still ended up turning up. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

DrewsGirl · 15/01/2010 07:59

fudgecat - the only time i have needed the ground to swallow me up was when she asked me in front of dh he was so embarrased love him, she had asked me before but i hadnt told him - lol at you telling hermya not to spill a cuppa on dh's bits!

Thanks hoping & hermya i hadnt thought of ebay/amazon, i will have a scour of the net today after work. I bought the CB ov sticks before with the lines but i am pretty sure that i didnt get a peak day which was worrying. So this time i have bought the digital ones which give you a smiley face when its time to do it. I am starting on Sunday so hopefully next week i will get my smile.

Hermya thats good to know about the caffeine, i knew you were supposed to cut down on coffee but i didnt realise it was tea aswell, i drink more than 6 cups in the morning at work alone maybe i should but some herbal or something

morning girlies - resident stat bunny incoming..... hope you're all looking forward to a nice weekend.

still no temp rise here so there is still hope for this month yet. weekends seem to be better for DH and me BD-wise so i will try to DTD but with as little stress/pressure as possible. might even hint that it's too late this month anyway so DH won't feel like he must perform. or is that just going too far? hey - a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

fudgecat Don't worry I'll try not to let low flying cups of coffee near the DH bits. Although sometimes there is that temptation when he is being a bit of an idiot.

Drewsgirl I know what you mean, tea is like my crack. How on earth am I suppose to cope without it's lovely lovely presence in my my life.

Anyway, I signed up for fertility friend yesterday. I am a little bewildered at the amount of stuff I don't know about TTC.

Worrisome, Claire I hope the 2WW goes quick for you both and worrisome I hope you get to cancel that clinic appointment.

capricorn76 · 15/01/2010 12:48

Hi girls,

Could someone please advise me on what's going on?

Basically I'm on day 11 of my cycle which is 24 days so I haven't ovulated yet although I'm very close to it.

Since last night I've been getting quite moody and today I've very irritable. I've also been getting back pain, a dull stomach ache, soft stools, nausea and I have no appetite.

I know that there is no way that I can be pregnant because I know I haven't ovulated yet. Nevertheless are these symptoms signs that I'm about to ovulate because they feel like PMS symptoms (but they come after you ovulate right?)

Muser · 15/01/2010 15:19

Just noticed I'd got back on the list so have taken myself off again, don't want to end up on here at CD500!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not giving up trying this month, just not wanting to count cycle days or obsess. Need to clear my head a bit after the mc, think I jumped in again too quickly.

@Claireinthecommunity -

Re - Wheatgrass. I get the dried Wheatgrass from Holland & Barret. It doesn't taste very nice but I add Cranberry juice to sweeten it. I think it's helping me lose a bit of weight too which is a bonus.

Eadwacer · 15/01/2010 18:16

GOOD EVENING! Can I join your gang, please?!

My husband and I had a sort of protracted business meeting last night, and have decided that bugger being sensible (short of discovering I'm an heir to a fortune, the perfect time to conceive just isn't coming....), we're going to try to conceive this minute.

Well: Not THIS minute as I'm having my period, but from now on, anyway.

I'm not being too scientific about it just yet. I'm 30, and my husband is 36; my family is notoriously fertile and by God I look like I ought to be if nothing else. I've been keeping track of my cycle since coming off the pill, and it seems fairly regular, if rather short.

Um. That's about it really. Hello!

DrewsGirl · 15/01/2010 18:31

Eadwacer - welcome along, this is the place to be ttc, ive only been on here about 4 days and hae learnt so much already!

Hermya - what is fertility friend, i have seen someone else on here mention it before.

I have had a look on amazon and found CBFM for £52 which is a bargain boots £99 There are also loads on ebay, i might have a go at bidding on them some are as low as £30, i am going to ask DH first but hes asleep on the sofa atm.

Hermya321 · 15/01/2010 19:39

Eadwacer welcome on board, this is a very fun thread!!!

Drewsgirl lookie here I hope it's alright to link on here. Basically you go and join and then put things like your temp, CM stuff, mood and other stuff into it and it puts it into a chart for you and sends you daily emails with lessons on your cycle etc. It seems like a helping hand.

I'm glad you found a cheaper one than in boots. It seems a lot to ask for a monitor to pay £100 plus.

I was a bit naughty today and didn't take my pill. I know I sort of said I would finish my packet, but I'm just too excited and well theres part of me that can't see the point in finishing. Hmmmm we'll see if I change my mind later this evening.

ceebs05 · 15/01/2010 19:43

Hi all,

feeling frustrated - am on day 25 and started to feel really nauseous yesterday afternoon, eventually throwing up last night. Tested this morning - BFN - couldn't help myself. It's probably far too early (average cycle has been 27, ranging from 24 - 30) but anyway sickness is probably just a bug that's going round.

Drews girl - fertilityfriend.com is a site where you can put your data on - cycles, temps etc and chart your fertility (I think - am still getting to grips with it?!)

Capricorn - I have noticed that I get slight cramps and back ache around the time I think I am ovulating or about to ovulate so I guess what you're feeling could be symptoms of that?

Eadwacer · 15/01/2010 20:04

Hermya - hello again! I know that no-pill feeling. Isn't it ironic that it somehow feels naughty not to take it - when you think that back in 1963 or whenever Larkin said it was, going on the Pill was dead modern!

I just stopped mid-packet, I have to admit. And immediately felt like CAPTAIN OF MY DESTINY.

Hi Drewsgirl - I haven't bothered with any of the mechanical stuff, I've just plotted my cycles on mymonthlycycles.com. In the first few months since coming off the pill it's been incredible to see how just when the website calculator said I'd be ovulating, all the classic ovulation stuff happened (including apparently being about 100% more attractive to people. I thought this was just a legend but it seems to happen - anyone else get this?!)

Eadwacer · 15/01/2010 20:06

Oh, one more thing - those statistics look amazing and I think I've figured out what most of it means - but what's the last CD bit? (I thought it was 'cycle day' by that can't be right!)
