Bloody fantastic news. massive congratulation to you both XXXXX

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 12/10/2009 08:46

Congrats MrsRigby, come join us on Grads when you're ready. I told a few people early, but most people at 18 weeks this time and it's made the pregnancy go so quickly.

Meita · 12/10/2009 09:52

wow! MrsRigby that's... that's... I'm speechless! Your hard "work" has finally paid off! CONGRATULATIONS!

Now officially our grads' list is longer than our TTC list!

And apples, sooo glad that things are moving for you too!

Chamo how are you?

Now for the rest of us: Here we come!

zayja · 12/10/2009 11:01

Yay Mrs. R! You really did it! (every other night?!?! Makes me think I'm gonna have to try a little harder!! Well, looks like the BFP ball is rollin' around here again, hope it rolls over the rest of us non-grads this month!

Cheepz · 12/10/2009 11:16

apples hope noone got in your way on the bd dash, as mrsr says every other night for a couple of days - me and dh only managed every other other night this month - progress for us but may still not be enough - like zayja my report should say 'must try harder'

totally so good to hear from you - we will have to make sure we have a Bubs category once yours is delivered - you must be over halfway no - so encouraging for the rest of us

Still coping with interminable 2ww - seems to be dragging this month [toetappingbigsigh]

hi all

Sorry for not being back in a while.. no real reason just really busy as we are moving house in a couple of weeks so the logistics are a nightmare..

hope you are all well.. and WOW two BFPs!!!!!!

chamois I know it's awful getting a BFP when you've been through what you've been through and it's so hard to feel excited.. my feeling on this was that you have to give hope to this bean and be as excited as you can let yourself be but that took a few days for me to get to..

mrsR - Congrats you! the whole at it like rabbits idea works then! and better still you can probably put DH off wanting sex for ages now!!

have had a bit of a revelation - the drs after loads of tests have diagnosed me with a vitamin B12 deficiency.. I did a bit of googling and this has been linked with early miscarriage between 6-8 weeks. both of my miscarriages were at this time..

Hopefully this isnt relevant to anyone here but if youve had two or more miscarriages it would be worth asking for a B12 test (not iron level this is separate)..

no other news, glad to see that our grads list is lengthening!!! was really nice to read back and catch up on everyone's news!!

Cheepz · 12/10/2009 22:54

i have another bloody virus - seems like several of my 2ww including the one running up to pg and subsequent mc in August had sore throat, stuffy nose and chest congestion. I think this is the 4th time in 6 months - whats the deal?? Anyone else got a recurring sore throat that pops up a week after ovulation lasts for a few days but never materialises into anything major??!!! as if the 2ww wasn't bad enough. Am beginning to wonder if its something hormonal.

That aside tomorrow is CD 23 - 5 days til P day, as before though, no early sticks for me, not least because I have zero symptoms, no nausea, no boob swelling / soreness, no tiredness other than the normal full time work plus two year old kind, no cramps or bloating, no cravings, no wierd CM, no mood swings, no implantation bleed so all in all am keeping level of expectation to minimum

Am beginning to wonder whether I should just forget about ttc and be content with ds who is so very d indeed. Trouble is a big part of me wants another dc so he has a sibling, to be frank the notion of doing pregnancy, birth and the first 9 months again fills me with dread as I am not good at the baby stage - although he was terrible sleeper and I was so exhausted the whole time it was like prolonged sleep deprivation torture

Hark and me - what a doom and gloom monger - chin up Cheepz, get a life

Meita · 13/10/2009 19:01

lee good to hear from you. Ah, moving time, such a hassle! We moved just before last christmas and the stress of it all made me catch a cold - which developed into an ear infection that had to be treated by antibiotics - which caused thrush - which helped a UTI on its way - which didn't go away through 3 courses of different antibiotics! Meaning I was basically not well until the end of February. So here's me hoping that moving will be easier on you! At least you get rewarded with a new house to settle in to
Hm, B12 deficiency, are you perchance vegetarian? Vegeterians (and vegans even more so) often have trouble maintaining B12 levels. Well at least perhaps they found what was causing the MCs - that creates hope for a new go?

cheepz chin up! The 2ww can get you down, but perhaps you are just being emotional due to pg-hormones? I know what you mean about the pgy, and first months - without having gone through it myself yet, and while wanting to get just there, I fear it too! I'm rubbish if I haven't slept enough. Then again, you mention how very dear your DS is - imagine having two such DC! Wouldn't it be worth it all?
No I don't know anything cycle-related to do with sore throats, wishing you speedy recovery!

Ok need to get home - take care everyone!

barrenbrook · 14/10/2009 06:08

Morning all,

First things first, Mrs R Yey! Big congratulations to you, so good to get a couple of BFPs on here, gives us all a little hope. All your hard work paid off!

Cheepz sorry you're feeling rubbish about it all. It's tough staying motivated when it's the same thing every month and the 2ww drags on and on. I've completely lost faith at the moment too but we must give ourselves a slap round the face and get on with it ; ) You never know, no symptoms of anything could be a good sign!

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all well and having lots of sex!

applesaretheonlyfruit · 14/10/2009 21:37

Well, done with the gardening. Nooo more.

Last time we went through this "procedure", after the mmc, and I didn't know I wasn't even ovulating, when I said I wasn't pregnant, dh asked, "why not". Good like that, Dh, you know, sensitive.

tigger15 · 15/10/2009 13:31

Hi can I join? We are ttc no. 2. I got pg in April and mcd at the end of June at about 10-11 weeks. Follow one ERPC under GA an infection and we started again. This will be 4th attempt since then and still no luck.

Plus I'm type 1 diabetic which makes the whole process a little more stressful as very tight control has to be maintained throughout. I just had a hospital appt for the diabetes and was informed the reason they want to see you after 6 months of ttc is because most women are on the verge of a nervous breakdown from the pressure of keeping control without any visible reward for doing so. And of course all these nice friends of mine keep on announcing they are going to be due when I would have been if not for the mc.

So back to the scars on my fingers from too many blood tests and here we go again.

BTW what is the thing with grapefruit juice?

louisesh · 15/10/2009 14:54

Hi All .Congrats on the BFPs.....Just returned from my cruise was BEST holiday ever loved it, just in the process of booking next years!!!!!

AF came on holiday, bloody typical. at 33 days so now back to it.Now on CD5 soo start BD again soon,.Got appt for re-current MC clinic on Monday, next week soo be interesting to see what they say.Knew it wouldn t be a bfp this month, just knew. The holiday was just what i needed to take my mind off TTC.

Back at work next Monday BAD, going to see Michael Mcintyre Mon night GOOD.

Don t know how long fertility is increased after a MC????? Does anyone know? Or if its just a myth???? Would soo love to be pg before xmas , last 2 xmas'es should have been pg but each time had a MC soo would like to erase that reminder for a nice memory....

Think will really go for it this month as timewise starting to get a bit bored of the whole TTC thing now, nearly 2 years and nothing to show for it!!!! Just booked to go back to Bruges for my bday in Dec soo booking something every 2 months soo always something to look foreward to as is the only way i find, i can stop myself getting too down about whats happened.

Does anyone else ever think it may never happen????? Sorry to end on a bit of a downer, i tend to dip in and out of feeling ok to feeling pis*ed off!!!!!

thefatladyscreams · 15/10/2009 15:20

Hi all

Oh MrsR - what fantastic news. I've been away for a long weekend and had been admiring your resolve at not testing as I caught up on this thread. Blimey, aren't these things meant to come in threes [looks at the list for who's up next!] Have you got over the shock yet?

louisesh - glad you had a great holiday despite AF's appearance. I completely share your mix of emotions. I go from obsessing about getting pregnant, being laid back in a what will be will be manner to getting so hacked off that I think about giving up. I guess because I'm coming up for 41 shortly that all these feelings are getting compressed.

Still got a stinking cold and ear infection and think I'm having yet another cycle where I've not ovulated. So have written this cycle off and not even thinking about the 2ww. I think I've only ovulated in 1 out of 4 cycles since my m/c - how the hell am I meant to get pregnant! And I've put on 5lbs in the last month (had lost 2.5 stone). Blimey - just read this back and I'm not in the best of moods today - sorry

Welcome tigger15 - I'm not usually such a grumpy cow, honest! The grapefruit juice I think is meant to improve your CM from memory. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The added twist of trying to manage your diabetes whilst TTC sounds difficult -as your hospital's comment suggests!

apples glad to hear you're finally ovulating - do hope you tracked down DH in time!

Hope you're feeling better cheepz. PITA this 2ww business. I hate biology sometimes. Why can't we just have sex and then test the next day! [TFLS stamps her foot but then thinks better about the cost of all those testing sticks!]

Sorry AF got you zayja.

Lovely to hear from you totally - how are you doing?

meita - glad you're finding work more productive. I find a real link with how I'm feeling about TTC and my work motivation. [Hence you can guess I've wasted spent most of today reading Mumsnet etc!]

Lee - interesting about the vitamin B12 deficiency. How do they treat it - just a supplement?

boodle - the Toni Weschler book is good. I'm thinking of trying pre-seed. Was it you who used it before?

OP posts:
Cheepz · 15/10/2009 16:16

Hi tigger welcome and sorry you are here and glad you are here - have added you to the list but you might want to add your details

I am feeling better today - although somewhat resigned as still no bloody symptoms but there you go - not feeling pmt yet but would expect that only around CD27. Seems everyone is feeling the frsutration at the mo - maybe its about milestones and christmas is a big one - so I know I am thinking it would be lovely to be pg by Christmas - louisesh same boat, but like tfls says sometimes it all seems so hard and i know that - its never going to happen feeling so well

tigger you must ignore us when we are like this - normally we are very supportive and upbeat but you caught us in a slump - might be that we are all a little as well as being about mrsr because she is a big part of our group and we are happy but if she slides off to a bus we will miss her ALOT

Meita · 15/10/2009 18:03

Good evening ladies,

welcome tigger I echo what cheepz said... stick around a bit and you'll see how friendly and upbeat we all are (except right now)

In case anyone would like to know, today is "pregnancy loss remembrance day" (I think it is an American thing) and the plan would be to light a candle at 7pm for one hour. I know it is a bit late to be announcing this and I won't be, myself, as will still be at work - but will think of candles and all of us women out there who had to experience the loss of a pregnancy.

I soooo have the feeling right now that it will never work for me. I usually ovulate on CD17-20, (and sometimes CD22-26 or even later), and now is CD17 so I should be full of expectation and hope - instead I just know that I won't ovulate. Ah well. Have resigned myself to the "plodding on" strategy. Totally with you there TFLS - is this lack of ovulation nature's punishment for us wanting to go back to TTC immediately after MC?

boodleboot · 15/10/2009 18:55

I HAVE GOT MY PERIOD

not somthing we usually celebrate on here granted, BUT when it is the first one post ectopic pregnancy i figure i deserve a WOOP WOOP for the fact that my ladybits still work....

This means that i need to wait another two cycles before i can officially TTC again....with a little bit of working out i can see that if i have my usual 28 day UCL then my 10th ish of dec i should be able to officially offically start to TTC....

my thrush is starting to clear very slowly...i am following the harcombe diet which is naturally elimitating the candida in my gut that is out of control....

welcome to the newbies....this is a lovely thread, welcome to you. xxxxx

Cheepz · 15/10/2009 22:10

Yay for Boodles AF arriving Woot wooot

I am still symptom free, apart from craving curry, chocolate and apple pie - but i think thats comfort eating diet has gone to the dogs this week while i have an indulgent low spell.

Next week I promise I will be back to my normal upbeat self - even though will be with Flo as oppose to with child, I think its maybe just all caught up with me a little.

That being said I am feeling better today - probably its the news that Boodles got her period! and the huge amount of sugar I have snarfed tonight, might just top it off with a glass of wine in bed with my book! DS slept through most of the week so am finally not tired to so thats good.

meita and tfls hugs and supportive nodding of head and comiserating about how crap it all is.

Might go and see if DH wants to have sex for fun! wouldn't that be a novelty

didn't find mrsr on any buses yet might go check out the grads see what Littleonemum and waiting are up to as well

Cheepz · 15/10/2009 22:11

and chamo and viv - we are doing ok on this thread, it will be our turn one day!!
