Evening.

Big wave to Cupcake Sorry to hear you're in meltdownland. I really hope that you get a BFP and it'll act like a Monopoly get-out-of-jail-free card. Sending you as many positive thoughts as possible for everything that's happening on Wednesday.

Jools Lots of positive thoughts for you too. This IS a lucky thread so it could be you! LBM Hope that you and DH are not actively not trying whilst you make up your minds.

MLS No furry pencil case but lots of folders, paper and post-its. I get ridiculously excited about stationery. There's clearly something wrong with me.

Fifi how are you doing, honey? I hope the down hormones haven't kicked in. Remember to post on here even if you're feeling really low. We've all been there and it really helps to get it out.

Moon Iggy et al. Hope you're all hanging in there.

Big waves to everyone else. As Cupcake said I am 12 weeks tomorrow according to the scan.

Neeko · 07/09/2009 21:20

It seems that in the time it took me to post LBM and Moon have been and gone - oops!

littlebellsmum · 07/09/2009 21:23

Kind of around but need to go - bath run and trying to bid for sparkly shoes on ebay at same time. Never mind the evenings labeling - as I teacher I know you appreciate this! And DD's pencil case is pink and furry!!

littlebellsmum · 07/09/2009 21:24

Oh, neeko - not actively trying, just not activly not trying iyswim! It could make our minds up for us!! ( I should be so lucky!!)

Neeko · 07/09/2009 21:26

Fingers crossed for a not-so-surprise surprise BFP then

littlebellsmum · 07/09/2009 21:40

indeed! nightneeko - labels are screaming at me and the first packed lunch of the year, deep joy, only about another 199 to go before I get the summer off!!

bluesatinsash · 07/09/2009 21:48

Neeko - I have this image of you lying surrounded by your post-it pads and just smelling them - enjoy .

Cupcake - so lovely to hear from you (we miss you ) but big hugs for you melting down. It's that scary CD26+ when either joy or despair is just round the corner. Sending every BFP vibe I can muster. As MLS says the rule of sod re: DH's work will mean you get a BFP and everything else will cease to matter. Fingers crossed for him and your interview outcome. Have you started writing yet or just doodling in your shiny new author note book??

LBM - proud Mummy moment coming up for your DS's first day at school . How are you bearing up? Bottom lip quivering yet? Thanks for tip re: trainers for SPD. Have looked at MBT ones but they look a bit too much like 'special' shoes for folks who have one leg shorter than the other .

4ever - SPD is 'symphysis pubis dysfunction' which is basically when your pelvic bones start rubbing together in a very painful way. Its casued by pg hormones relaxing everything in that region and is very sore. Some poor women wind up on crutches but most muddle along with various support belts...

Moon - fingers crossed your uncommon pre-AF pains are BFP pains in the making...

anniebigpants · 07/09/2009 21:50

Evening ladies, just marking my place on our sparkly new thread, love the title by the way!
Will be back tomorrow, im shattered after my long long day at work-left house 7.30am, not back home till 7.45pm. 9 more Mondays to do then im off on maternity leave.

bluesatinsash · 07/09/2009 21:53

Forgot to say - 12 weeks tomorrow Neeko - yay!

cupcakefairy · 07/09/2009 22:20

Hi girls, just popping back in to make the most of my 'mumsnet day' as dh calls it

Thanks blue, I miss you all loads too but still feel I need to stay away a bit. Plus it's nice that every week I come in you're all one week further on in the pregnancies feels like it's going faster! (For me anyway!) I know...these last few days of the 2ww are the worst, my temperature tomorrow and Weds will either make me very sad or very hopeful! Fingers crossed. At least I have a PLAN for next month (nutrition & supplement plan from my fab Fertility book) so hopefully shouldn't meltdown too much.

Haven't started officially writing but lots and lots of planning, and yes I do have a very shiny pink project book for all my planning which I'm so excited by (fellow stationery lover here!)
Feeling a bit better now as had a good cry on dh and he is just so good about things, never worries, which rationalises things for me - he's so good for me!

Will let you all know the outcome of black Wednesday thanks for all being just so lovely x

(ps- Moon here's my hand as we both reach end of cycle)

4everhopeful · 08/09/2009 10:00

Aww Cupcake sorry its all feels like its falling down round your ears at the mo, work worries are all you need right now. Will pray for a good outcome all round on weds for you, you so deserve some luck hon, & it does come in threes! A new chapter for you too... Thanks for thinking of me today too sweetie xx

Neeko 12 wks is the magic number!! (De La Soul just came in my head then!) Maybe we should do an Emmsys remix?! I like the magic lottery finger you had for Jools too!

LBM good luck with the school run! The roads are packed again now! Thanks for thinking of me too hon xxx

Bluemoon glad I made you laugh & you share our silly sense of humour! Certainly made us giggle! Sorry if AF is on her way.. If she does turn up maybe you & DP should make a fertility pie too for next month?! Good on ya with small steps & talking to pg office lady - had 3 here & was hell. All gone now thankfully, but know how blummin hard that is. Im really relating to you & cupcake being close to testing & all those wierd desperate & hopeful emotions that come with it. Lets hope the emotion of joy follows closely for both of you, and the lovely Jools and her non symptom spotting too!

MLS glad to hear your sounding bleugh! No such thing as naughty food when preggers - its called 'cravings' - milk it!

Thanks for the white coat analysis Blue! Oooh tired at the thought of Annies long days..

Well im surprisingly ok today. Not gonna torture myself with thoughts I should be giving birth today, cos fact is im not, & thats not gonna help me feel better is it? Also how many babies come on edd? So, feeling alright really, tho annoying man opposite was huffing puffing & saying 'oh Im not in a good mood today' & he's so moany I couldnt help saying 'me too, my baby should of been born today' . He stuttered sorry, and I do feel a bit guilty now, but he's always ranting on! Anyway, off at 2pm & a bit of 'me time' at hairdressers... Its 27 degrees in London today so home to swingchair in garden with a nice bottle of rose after that...

iggypiggy · 08/09/2009 10:01

Hi All - v. v quick catch up from me. Agree with cupcake - the thread seems to have had a nice vibe about it lately.

vjay Had a quick look at the pics of little optimus Alex - he is so gorgeous.

Just want to say thanks to all of you for thinking of me - am missing you all and just really want to sort my head out and come back with a BFP to share with you all.

I am right at the end of my cycle too - so AF due sometime over the weekend I think (trying not to count too obsessively) - but nothing really to report.

But in the spirit of sorting my mind out I have done the following:

  • Spoken to a second friend who I had been avoiding as she is currently pregnant with her second child.
  • Applied for a more senior job in a new organisation as am not happy at work. *Started doing more exercise and joined the gym at work *looked into a qualification that I've been meaning to get for ages.

so I hope I am doing all the right things to take my mind off this!

Lots of love to all of you - and fingers crossed for BFPs for all of us still trying!
xxxxx

fifisboys · 08/09/2009 10:27

Sorry i havent been able to post much over the last few days. DS1 starts nuresery next week so we've been busy preparing for that and im also busy trying to get our wedding booked and stuff..been super busy

Neeko im feeling much better and positive now. I had a friend who i havent spoke to for a few weeks ask how the 'bump' was coming along and that was hard but i managed to get through the conversation without breaking down which is a milestone for me

We have also decided that we are not going to be careful over the next couple of weeks until my 1st af and if anything happens then it happens, if not i start obsessing and drawing up our bd schedule for after af

4everhopeful · 08/09/2009 10:37

Wobbling a bit as discussion re ex managers edd being yesterday - feel like getting on desk and shouting 'its my edd today'

4everhopeful · 08/09/2009 11:18

Now I just got a work e-mail about a song called 'A Child Is Born'. Is someone up there testing me or what? Feelin a bit of a lonely weeble - where is everyone?

mermaidspurse · 08/09/2009 11:31

big hellos to iggy my oh my girl that is a brave list you have set yourself to completing I am mega impressed
cupcake so, so have my fingers and toes crossed for you. Maybe we should change the greenhouse to a stationary cupboard

moon that is a big milestone facing 'the bump that has been avoided' and you know you are getting there when you can do it.x

fifi wow congratulations on the upcoming wedding. That is a great event to look forward to. Hope all goes well with nursery and that you are okxx

annie creamcrackeredness you poor thing.

4ever oh well we can always rely on boring man to do his thing Have vision of you standing on your desk growling. Get down nicely and leave work early going past handbag/shoe/chocolate shops on the way. Have a nice afternoon off anyway. Bloody hard week.

4everhopeful · 08/09/2009 11:33

I just wanted a little hand to hold on my edd to stop me wobbling...

Im trying to be strong & not dwell, but I do want to acknowledge it with those that understand that edds are hard for us.. Iv spent about 6months dreading september coming & now the first edd is here & it feels quite lonely.

4everhopeful · 08/09/2009 11:49

Ah well sod it! Just spoke to my amazingly lovely DH who put the smile back on my face in his great way - just needed someone to go 'yea its shit isnt it - you ok?!'. My DH never fails.

Thanks mermaid as said, booked afternoon off to get hair done.

Iggy the top 2 on your list were also on my list post meltdown a couple weeks ago in run up to this dreaded month. Its helped massively. Just feeling sorry for myself today cos in work most dont have a clue what day it is & as said, all I needed was a few words from DH to help (not forgetting Gracie & Cupcake who did give me something to smile about - small things..)

mermaidspurse · 08/09/2009 11:51

am here lovely lady you have every right in the world to dwell on this day. Easy for me to be strong when I have a ds and you don't have to be strong here thats what this is for.Sorry I wasn't back straight away my shopping came and my blinking phone has gone flat and an't find the charger.xxxx

iggypiggy · 08/09/2009 11:56

mermaid you really are lovely aren't you xxx

4ever take may hand - huge hugs and thoughts from me for today xxx

4everhopeful · 08/09/2009 12:17

Thanks mermaid & iggs. Im annoyed at myself cos have been in a good place & felt really calm & accepting of things. Dont wanna appear to be a drama queen stamping my feet demanding attention, just want the odd offer of a hand or a hug & that it IS ok to feel a bit sorry for myself today. In fact if everyone did know & Id had the knowing looks & nods & armsqueezes Id prob be smiling away going - no honestly Im really ok about it - fact that no-one is has made me all stompy & sorry for myself. Damned if you do damned if you dont kinda thing... Oh bring on that wine...! Think its hard cos im sitting in work 'acting normal'.

mermaidspurse · 08/09/2009 12:29

did you say 27 degrees in London? its raining here.
An arm squeeze is such a little thing but in rl can mean so much. Every girl can be a drama queen whenever she damn well wants Hang in therexx

Joolsiam · 08/09/2009 13:22

Just flying in to offer 4Ever a hand and say a special hello to Iggy

No time for more Left home at 06.55. Got to the Welsh office at 11.25 and have been in meetings ever since ! This is my ten minute lunch break

Symptoms at 8DPO
Yesterday - mild period pain all morning. Abdomen felt very hard. Boobs seemed to grow during the day - usually they might grow a little immediately after ovulation, not now

Oh, and raging thrush this morning - the last two times I've had it this bad, I've ended up with a BFP

There, I've probably jinxed it now !!

Off to inhale a sandwich. No idea when I'll get a chance to log in again today (no internet access in tonight's hotel)

Love to everyone and good vibes to all small panters approaching the end of their cycles

One thing I will do before rushing off is go find the list ...
