My news of the day is dh went docs to ask for blood test form for the screening he will need for our treatment when I get preg again. His blood has to be screened 30days prior to the treatment & if done at Portland could cost about £400 . The treatment has to be up to 6wks preg so wont have much time to organise that & the screening, so the docs gave him a form to take home, requesting urgent results, which means when I get preg, he can get his blood screened immediately rather than go through rigmarole of trying to arrange it all, or go Portland & pay for it Confusing isnt it? Thats why we got on the case now!

I've just had a call from midwife so so weird..she sounded really nice though and was sympathetic about mc. She's going to come and visit us at 7 weeks, just really hope it's not tempting fate

Thanks 4ever yeah it was pretty swift of her as I only gave my name yesterday. But still, 7 weeks feels way too early for me to be seeing a midwife.

Don't have MLS's number, hopefully Neeko might be able to get on. Crossing everything for her.

Cupcake* that is lucky to see a midwife so early they usually see you approx 9 weeks plus so I really hope she puts you a little at ease.

I just entertained my bf newish girlfriend who is sporting a 6 month bump and I did really well (pat on back.) I was going to offer her some of my special hoarded baby things left over from ds but I am not quite there yet.... but I did think it so we are getting there!

I am after a bit of advice... So - I applied for a new job - had first informal interview today - they said they will be recommending me for formal interview.. ok. So if I go for that job - and get it - then I have a 3 month (not 12 week - 3 month!!!) notice period for my current job - so would prob start in Feb... as interview not till late Oct...

Am rambling - is all a bit hypothetical as haven't actually been offered the new job.. but I'd have to be there a year to get any maternity benefits... So really would have to put ttc on hold for 6 months if got job... I will be 34 in Feb - the job is not really much more money (£900 more a year than I currently get) and is 2 days less holiday a year.. It is a more senior job but in a smaller company...

Now I realise I shouldn't put my life on hold for ttc as could never happen... but then again would seem stupid to put myself through all stress of interview to not want to accept the job is hard one.. What you lot think?

Hey Iggs dilemmas dilemmas... Know what you mean as have taken whatever I can grab onto at work for exact same reason re mat leave in new company etc, also dont wanna leave. However we cant put our lives on hold for the sake of ttc cos that equates 10x more pressure - not healthy. If ttc was not a factor what would you want to do? I think that whatever life throws us we find a way of dealing with it. For random example; my bf had never been on hol with her dp & son til last year cos worried about affording it. As I said to her, you FIND the money for these things, as with (even better) example; when you have a baby! Only you can decide hon.. Go with your gut!

C'mon MLS!!! Im hoping she will get in touch with Neeko & she will let us know. Please let her be bouncing down a corridor as we speak?!? I gotta leave at 4pm, if no news by then please can someone text me?

Hi there, Hope you don't mind me coming in here. I reckon Iggypiggy sd negotiate for a MUUUUCH bigger payrise, and an extra two day holidays. If they do this, THEN, and only then should you reconsider whether to take the job. Otherwise, why move if you're hoping to be off soon, taking mat leave and etc...
