Debbsey - glad DD?s comment made you smile today  So sorry you are having such a hard time; must be very difficult with DH not supporting you. Really hope your holiday brings you back closer together and you have a nice time.

Hi Handbag. Good to hear your Spa treatment is still on. Fingers crossed for you.

Bella23 · 17/05/2005 20:40

Rom - {{{{HUGS}}}}} honey xx
Who have you spoken to so far regarding TTC....ie clinic, GP? What does your Dh think?

Debbsy - oh dear sounds like your Dh is totally out of favour...oops! I must say it made me laugh to read that it is not just me that feels like wanting to punch someone when they say "why are you upset, it will happen"....ARH !!

Debbsy · 17/05/2005 21:20

thanks hula fingers crossed for you what does it mean when you put & 61514 please thanks for support too bella you do feel like that though dont you sometimes lol

Hulababy · 17/05/2005 21:24

Sorry about that Debbsey - as these threads are so busy I tend to write my replies in a text editor on Outlook and then copy and paste. I will have been either a or a (can't remember which without looking back down here) originally. MUST preview!

Trix1 · 17/05/2005 21:29

Hi everyone, just joined thread from the last one. I really do hope we get our spring babies - by god we deserve them.

reminder of my stats.

Age 32
DH 34
DS 3.5
TTC for 2.5 years - two m/s last one at 15.5 weeks but baby died at approx 10 weeks (in Dec 05)

Now on day 19 of my cycle - shall be testing on 27th / 28th - usually have a regular 28 day cycle.

Good luck again to all. Please order me a baby head office any sex just a healthy baby. Im obsessed!!!!

romilly · 17/05/2005 21:30

thanks charlee, hula, debbsy and bella - i will stop being a whingebucket soon!

debbsy i think hula's cryptic numeral (61514!!) is a shortcut for doing smiley or weepy emoticons, but for some reason its not working?!! well, thats my guess anyway

bella - i have spoken to my unbelievably ill-informed GP about IVF (mr. rom has sperm banked from when he had his surgery years ago, but it was of poor quality because it was post-surgery although the sample was taken before the radiotherapy IYSWIM) and asked if that was a better route for us - but he seemed to think we should keep trying naturally for now despite my age, as we did get pg. once. i say ill-informed because he umms and ahhs a lot and quite often admits to not having a clue to my questions, ie. age limits for IVF.

Hulababy · 17/05/2005 21:32

Any chance of speaking to someone who specialises (or knows more about) IVF rom? Think your GP needs to take your concerns seriously and put you in touch with someone you can at least chat too.

Trix1 · 17/05/2005 21:35

Rom, I would seek a second opinion he does not sound as though he knows a great deal about it. I heard that there is supposed to be a very good IVF clinic in aldridge in the West Midlands - have heard quite a few success stories where couples had failed attempts elsewhere...

Can anyone advise me on this. I am on day 19 should I still have CM - I had lots of very milky cm yesterday? Sorry about being so graphic.

romilly · 17/05/2005 21:37

yes hula - i agree totally with you - i think i need to look into a fertility clinic sooner rather than later

trix - we are all obsessed! its par for the course here

Tabs · 17/05/2005 21:37

Rom - have a read of this - I picked it up from another thread the other day. Think it includes some stuff about age limits, which I seem to recall ranged from 34-45, depending on the clinic.

HFEA IVF info

Trix - I'm planning on testing on 28th if no AF by then, so we'll be together. Hula - will that be about right for you too?

Trix1 · 17/05/2005 21:37

I would seek a second opinion your doc does not inspire much confidence. I have heard there is supposed to be a very good IVF clinic in Aldridge in the West Midlands and know people who have been successful there after in some cases many failed attempts elsewhere...

Can anyone advise me on this please? do you still have mc on day 19 thats where I am now. I had a lot of very milky mc yesterday. apologies for being so graphic.

romilly · 17/05/2005 21:40

tabs - a huge thankyou for that link - you are a star

trix - milky cm is quite normal - did you have EWCM around OV time? you can get different patches even after OV

Trix1 · 17/05/2005 21:40

Hi tabs, we can give each other suppor then until then. Fingers crossed. I find the 2 weeks waiting the worst do you?

Trix1 · 17/05/2005 21:42

Rom - yes I did - i am a novice to all these different tips and things to look out for.

my friends who do not have any problems with getting pregnant would not have a clue about any of this. they would think I am mad..(envy)
