Munz, just dropping in to say congratulations to you! Really fantastic news.

Milosmum, I'm sorry to hear your news.

Bella23 · 31/05/2005 09:18

Morning ladies.
Really sorry for going AWOL and thanks so much for worrying about me, just spent the weekend drinking to excess with a friend that came to stay. And yes need I add that AF arrived again..

Firstly before i continue.....MUNZ - Congrats girl...well done!

Milosmum - {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}.....so very sorry honey.

Well I am afraid that I have decided that I am going to leave Mumsnet for a while. I am still going to TTC but am going to try and put the baby making thoughts out of my head for a while as I am just feeling so unhappy and that its never going to happen that I need to try and focus on something else......what that will be I have no idea!! I just feel that I need to sort my head out.

So.....I am going to sooooo miss you guys, you have been such a great support over the last few months, I really couldn't have managed without you. I will pop back in a couple of months to check how you are all doing and I want to see that you all have a BFP !!

Rom, Wendy, Worriedbev, Milosmum, George, DQ, Nemo and all the gang. I love you all and take care. xxx

StarryEyed · 31/05/2005 09:19

Hi girls

Just a quick note to say congratulations to Munz!!!!

Sooo sorry Milosmum - I am gutted for you. I know you have been waiting a long time. Your turn will come.

My AF is due 3 June so fingers crossed. Will not test until a few days after. Will keep you posted. Anyone else testing then?

charleepeters · 31/05/2005 09:25

oh MIlosmum sdo sorry fro you huggs to you, take it easy for bit and relax.

Right ladies i need your help can anyone answer a few fertility friend questions for me, i know its probably on the web site but i cant be bothered to trawl throguh it all!

  1. Can you reset your chart to start a new one?
  2. Can you chart just by CM and mood ect or do you have to do it by temp?
  3. Whats the best thermomitor to use and where do i get one from
  4. When do i take my temp?? 5.Will it automatically show up on my chart when im ment to be ovulating after a while or do have to predicit it and put it in??

At the moment im using a chart basedon dates alone and where my periods arnet that regular and im not quite sure how long my cycle is at the moment i though fertility friend would be better to use, i do have an account with them but i have been very slap dash and would like to do it properly

ta xx
hugs to all xxx

Tabs · 31/05/2005 09:27

Milosmum - I'm so terribly sorry that your bleeding appears to have been serious after all.

Bella - take care of yourself, and hope you'll be back with a BFP very soon.

StarryEyed - good luck for Friday!

george32 · 31/05/2005 09:29

Bella, I know how TTC can take over every waking hour sometimes. Can start to send you barmy can't it!
I'm sorry you are off for a while but I hope your break from MN isn't a long one & that you come back with some good news for us soon.
It seemed to work for me when I switched my focus to running, the month after...BFP!!
Wishing you so much luck whilst you are away.
Will be thinking of you.
xx

Tabs · 31/05/2005 09:34

Hi Charlee

  1. If you enter when AF arrived it will automatically start a new chart for you from that date.

  2. If you want it to pinpoint when ov happened then you need to use temps, but if you just want a record of other factors for you to check back on then don't see why you couldn't just put other stuff in. It may still suggest an ov date if you've used OPKs, but I haven't tried it without temps so am not sure.

  3. Definitely a digital thermometer, and personally I prefer one with 2 decimal places. I got mine from Boots, but had to buy it as part of a charting pack with a fancy wallet and graph paper for you to draw your chart. Think it was about £12-£13. I expect you'll find one cheaper on e-bay though.

  4. Same time every day, when you first wake up without getting out of bed or moving around, and after at least 3 hours sleep.

  5. After a while it will show your most likely fertile time, and it will also give you a daily status with a green light if you enter data which makes it think you are fertile at that point (EWCM or +ve OPK).

Hope that helps!

Worriedbev · 31/05/2005 10:04

I am so very sorry milosmum. Hope next time brings better news and it wont be long before you see a BFP again. Lots of hugs for you.

Bella - I know exactly how you feel. I just finished af again and on to another month and I feel I am stressing out too much about this and feeling like this it just wont happen. I think I should leave the boards too although I dont post that much but always looking for inspiration. Havent got the strength to do it though so will still be looking in. Hope you get the BFP you want real soon.
Bev

HandbagAddiction · 31/05/2005 10:07

Just a quick post from me....and I'll catch up tonight in detail.....

Munz - big congratulations girl....that's fantastic news....!!

Milosmum - big hugs honey - I'm so sorry to hear what has happened. Gutting after having received a BFP initially.

To everyone else - hope you're all OK and had good weekends. I'm now on CD5......AF now over and waiting until the most advantageous bd-ing time...hot on the heels of Frizbe!!

Catch up later....

wendy11 · 31/05/2005 10:46

Milosmum - I am so sorry things have turned out like this for you. Be kind to yourself and don't expect too much of your self over the coming days and weeks. Take all the time you need to get over your loss. (((hugs)))

Bella - I am going to miss you so much on here but I can understand why you need to take a rain check for a while. This TTC takes over every part of your life and at times I know it has been my only waking thought. Not good. I just want to wish you all the best and hope that we will hear good news from you in the not too distant future. In the mean time enjoy life and the company of your DH and if you feel up to it pop in now and again just to check up on us. Sending you lots of love and hugs and I will be thinking about you.

Rom - How are you today. OK girl we will have to keep each others spirits up while Bella is away. We can do it!!!

Munz - Hows things. Has your good news sunk in yet.

Had my scan this morning and all is looking good so far for egg collection on Thursday morning. The consultant who scanned me this morning just said "Ah this looks good see you on Thursday" and left. He didn't tell me how many follicles there were or anything but I assume they are so used to doing this that they just see at a glance what they need to see IYKWIM. Last injection tonight at 10pm, thank goodness. They are starting to get sore now. Well no perfumes or deodrants for DH or myself on Thursday as apparently they affect the quality of the eggs at collection so we will just have to be smelly on Thursday Next thing to worry about......will there be eggs in the follicles and will they fertilise. Just one long round of worry.

Hope everyone is OK today.

I am going to make the most of this rare sunny day we are having today. Catch up later

milosmum · 31/05/2005 11:30

thanks for all the kind words- you all are great .

basically in limbo now....... the docs thinks i am going to miscarry. i have to check every day. if i haven t sarted spotting/bleeding by monday i ve got to take a test to the docs and they will do a super sensitive one. if that is + they will send me for an early scan. if i have a proper bleed then obiously the beanie died.

i just hope i dont get to the stage of an early scan for them to tell me that it has no heartbeat- id rather i just bleed now and get it over with, if its going to happen................

truly upset.....

munz · 31/05/2005 11:55

YAY - finally I can post, been trying all morning, our internet is sooooo slow today.

new's is slowly sinking in, (althou not too sure I believe it yet) will do once it's a def big blue line and i'm in labour! DH is still reluctant to get excited so we've not told anyone in RL yet, (will wait for the DR's I think) althou he did give me a squeeze and say hope all is OK.

MM - I am so sorry for u hon. ((((((((hugs))))))) be good to your self, and am sending u lots of sticky dust over.

Wend - how were ur shrubs in the end? hope all is well for Ireland, I've been told no buses to ireland and RM won't take responsibilty so i'm flying urs out British airways so make sure u go to the airport, as so many of the busses obviously broke down this month i'm sending all orders via train this month (althou expect possible delays due to train works and also possible surcharges of extra POAT's!)

diz - any change for u hon?

hula/CP/handbag sorry about AF girls

Loubie - huya and welcome on in.

wb - didn't do anything differnet (apart form DH was here!) BD every 48 hours from CD10 onwards, was certain I hadn't oved as well, still there's def a v v faint line (i'm sure of that I've looked so much!) althou still expecting to see AF arrive.

do u girls mind if I stick around? i'm not confident enough yet to go over to the anti natal threads. my due date is either 6th feb or 9th (from 2 diff sites) thanks for all ur support and the well wishes. Mr Munz is glad of a rest this month I think!

romilly · 31/05/2005 14:35

milosmum - that is just awful news - and so upsetting really really sorry hon. hope milosdad is looking after you.

awwwwwww bella - firstly i had a foreboding feeling AF might have come when you were so silent BUT its such a shame to hear that you will be taking a break as everybody else has said, i totally understand why - but we are going to miss you like crazy. you have been such a huge support and always so upbeat and positive, i know you have kept me going when i was feeling very low. i truly hope that some time-out works for you - and everything comes together jobwise/familywise and all that you want in life. agree with dramaqueen that your time will come, bella. please come back and let us know how you are now and then.

wendy - it looks like its just you and i left of the original "cautious" crowd, but i know our great preggie buddies are keeping a close eye on us, (dqueen, george and nemo ) and now we can add munzie to the list. wonderful news about your scan today and we will all be thinking of you on thursday and praying for it to all go perfectly.

munzie - we are counting on you to stick around hon. to get those last orders in! what do you mean "do you mind if i stick around"?? LOL!!!!

romilly · 31/05/2005 14:40

bella missing u already......

charleepeters · 31/05/2005 15:44

thanks tabs x

charleepeters · 31/05/2005 16:04

i just ordered a funky red see through thermomitor for ebay brand new for only £3.00! yay! think i fianlly got the hang of fertiliy friend!

Loubie1968 · 31/05/2005 18:19

Hi, starting to get the hang of this now!

Bella - I understand totally where you're coming from - I've posted a couple of times on the other baby forum I user to say I'm bowing out for a while cos it's all got too stressy (my problem is I can't stay away that long though and invariably creep back with my tail between my legs a couple of days later!) Take care, and I hope you get some real good news soon.

MilosMum - I'm really sorry to hear your news - I went through exactly the same in January - was over the moon when I got a BFP, but was worried as I had been spotting for nearly a week by then, so went to the doctors. They did a test and it was a BFN and I m/c a couple of days later. It's soul destroying, but I took some comfort from the fact that I knew I could GET pregnant. Hugs to you

Wendy - all the very best for Thursday, I really really hope it goes well for you.

I can't remember anyone elses names just yet - how do you all manage to do such long posts and not get everyone mixed up?!

I'm in the last part of the dreaded 2WW now, 7 DPO and gonna wait till 12 to test (Sunday, yikes!)

Good luck to everyone

Loubie xx

Frizbe · 31/05/2005 18:20

Hi all, sorry to hear such sad news on here today milosmum, big hugs to you {{{{{Hugs}}}}

Bella your off for a bit too....you will be missed , come back and see us all soon {{{Hugs}}}

Wendy, you are a ray of light for us all, really hope thursday goes well for you {{{Hugs}}}

Hi to everyone else, hope AF's are over with quickly and onwards towards easter bunny special deliveries

wendy11 · 31/05/2005 20:24

Rom - you have me really scared now. Are you sure there are not a few more "cautious" people around? Could we drag a few in off the streets just to make us feel better? Oh well by a process of elimination we must be almost there

Thanks to Rom, Loubie and Frizbe for your good wishes for Thursday. Ever heard of wishing your life away. Last week Tuesday couldn't come quick enough, now it is Thursday and then it will be Friday and then Sunday........and the list goes on. Help!!!!

Had a really nice txt message today from my bf who is on holiday in Majorca relaxing after finishing her finals at Uni last week. She just said "Another hurdle over...Keep thinking positive" She is the only person in RL apart from my mum and DH's mum and dad who know we are going through IVF so really appreciated her message

romilly · 31/05/2005 20:24

hi frizbe - how you doing its sooooo great about munzie isnt it. thrilled for her.

loubie - i am on same dpo as you - 7dpo - dont you just hate this bit - its so boring! cant drink, cant test, cant relax.......

wendy hope you are managing to stay calm, roll on thursday!

milosmum honey - hope you are looking after yourself.

i came across a weird thing in a book about TTC which i thought i'd better share with you guys - lay off peas! yes, seriously - your common garden pea - apparently they have contraceptive powers and can lower your fertility. strange but true.
