Hi Dizzy and welcome

Good job your cycles aren't 227 days - that would be a real nightmare!!!!

Do you mind me asking how they spotted your fibroid, and now you know about it, are there any signs/symptoms that you had that are caused by it? Just being curious and nosey really, as I've been trying for over 4 years, with just one m/c (last Oct), so always good to know about things which could be causing problems.

Frizbe · 22/05/2005 19:53

Hi Dizzy hope your stay is a short one!

Hulababy · 22/05/2005 20:48

Hi all. CD24 today, so still mid 2WW. Af due this weekend (maybe Friday). No signs of anything either way yet.

My weekend was lovely. Lots of drinking and over indulging! Friends baby is due in 4 weeks, and they are getting so excited. Lucky things got pg straight away, although she had been off pill for a long while before and had a good idea of her cycle patttern. Think they went for he one busy week, bum on pillow method, which worked. Tempted to try it this time and see.

Now for the catch up Sorry for anyone I miss; sure they'll be loads after two days and more of messages!

Handbag ? how did the mud wrap treatment go? Did you have fun?

StarryEyed ? belated congrats on wedding anniversary.

Frizbe ? Any news yet???

Oh, and the house?well, we still have completed on the apartment. Our buyer is a nightmare. He has his mortgage offer and had signed all the papers in preparation for exchange/completion, but still hasn?t brought his deposit (£88k!!!) in. DH is chasing again tomorrow and giving him some form of ultimation. The buyer does have a few other stuff going on but even so. On good point though ? our house Is ready to start the snagging checks and possible completion by 19th June!!! Fingers crossed.

Also, just read about your DD and the swimsuit. My DD was exactly same. She loves her armbands and a float and can doggy paddle on her won with them. I put her in a suit and she hated it and lost every bit of confidence with it. So, ours is in the cupboard too.

Bella/Worriedbev ? hi, and hope 2ww goes fast!

Milosmum ? sorry about BFN Maybe too early though

Trix/Tabs ? any signs yet? None for me either way.

Munz ? sorry to hear you sounding so down I am sending you extra baby dust for this month.

Charleepeters ? congratulations to your sister; hope you are joing her really soon.

Wendy ? well done with the first injections; and good luck!

Dizzy ? hi and good luck! My AF is due around next weekend too. I hate the wait!

sparkly · 22/05/2005 21:35

Sorry abou the bfn, milosmum, but maybe it was just too soon. I've not taken the plunge yet and tested. I may do it tomorrow at work. Another mid morning trip to Boots then testing in the toilets at work! Not the best scenario but that's where I was last time I found out I was pg so perhaps it will work twice!

Had a great weekend with dd and dp and feeling very positive in general. Not felt like this since my m/c so fingers crossed I am over the worst of that. Was a real struggle for a while. Now I must get off MN and go do some work for tomorrow morning!

Tabs · 22/05/2005 21:42

Hi Hula - no real symptoms that tell me either way, but plenty of imaginary ones as usual!

I think in reality my aches are down to actually doing some exercise for a change, my tiredness is due to too many late nights, and my occasional queasiness is just wishful thinking, as I had it a couple of months ago too.

Temps are offering no clue.

Ah well, time will tell I guess.

Sparkly - pleased to hear you're feeling cheerier, and good luck for tomorrow - make sure you come straight on here and let us know the result!

fresco · 23/05/2005 07:25

hi there

I hope i am on the right thread?
We been away for 2 weeks in the Algarve and came back on Thursday night. It was brilliant and nice and hot.Didnt last long enough though.
Any more bfps anyone?
Sorry for the last af munnz, when are you next due? i take it your name is Louise? or is it?
Where are you now? and when are you coming to Scotland?

Debbsy · 23/05/2005 07:30

morning all some advice needed please used clearblue opk last nite as was getting classic ovulation pain that bad i had to use a hot water bottle they said i had lh i had 2 lines same colour. But didnt baby dance as dh didnt get in till 11pm and he was v tired ans still is this morn have i now missed chance as i cant use opk till tonite. But part of me wants to put it out of my mind foR A LITTLE WHILE AND JUST GO ON HOLS

sparkly · 23/05/2005 08:04

Morning all ... have decided against testing today. Keep getting the tell tale cramping etc of AF so believe it would be a wasted £10. Will still be testing on Wednesday though if no AF. Must say, normally I'd crack and test asap but given how irregular my cycles have been since my m/c, I'm much more relaxed.

Hope everyone has a good day ... now off to finish the work I didn't quite finish last night because I watched Desperate Housewives!

Frizbe · 23/05/2005 08:50

Ah Sparkly probably a wise move...

I woke up today, thinking hurrah no af, whipped out a test, and lo and behold what started as I was doing the biz....AF, Grrrrrrrrr what a waste of money that test was...........bloody af, grumble, grumble, so that's a 31 day cycle this month then.....
Thus I'd like a lost in post form please Munz
Back to the drawingboard for me girls, or anywhere else that takes our fancy
Although dh's comment got him a cheeky boy slap this am, as he said, 'you'd better hurry up, or I'm going to be to old for another one' men eh, I obviously told him he could lump it, and his swimmers we'ren't upto the job or we'd have a beanie today! ha...

Milosmum any more news?

Handbag and Teuch are you testing? n Handbag how was Spa?

Hula lol re swimmo, the only reason I brought it was we got a cheaper inflatable jacket whilst on hols and dd liked it, so when I saw the swimo I thought I'd gotten it right, but oh no.....still I shall save it and if she doesn't grow out of it, we may get some paddling use out of it during the summer somewhere? Also glad the move seems to be relativly on track, how nice to think you should be moved in a month! You should have a housewarming thread me thinks!

Hi Fresco, bet you've got a lot of reading to do! Hope your hols was nice?

Debsey leave it, stuff it, 4 days to go till your hols!! mmmm sun, sea, sand and well you know the rest

Munz, Bella, Rom, Wendi, Tabs, n everyone else hope you have a great day, me n my backache r going to sit here, doing some work and drinking tons of coffee, seeing as we're not preggers we might as well!

Hulababy · 23/05/2005 08:52

Good luck sparkly; hope AF stays away.

Debbsey - I would just try and get som,me BD in today if you can. OPK suggest that OV is about to happen, not that it has already happened, so still some chance.

Good to hear you have had a lovely holiday Fresco

dizzy36 · 23/05/2005 09:27

morning all, Tabs, I was told I had a fibroid after a scan during my last pg and a recent internal ultrasound confirmed that it was still there. after both my previous pregnancys my periods changed quite drastically (experienced flooding after the first and after the last one my periods are longer with spotting at beginnin and end) both are symptoms of a fibroid altho I have no other symptoms. I'm so sorry for you having an m/c after 4 yrs of trying - life is so unfair sometimes. I hope things happen a lot quicker for you this time. Seems like yesterday I had my m/c but it was 15 months ago and still trying. I'm not as bad as I was in that I'm a lot calmer the week coming up to my AF. I've learnt a lot from this website, beleive it or not I didn't know anything about cf until a few months ago and I've only just started charting!

The worrying thing is we BD every month around ovulation and still nothing. I have friends that are falling pg within months of ttc. I can't imagine life without having another child, not just for me but for my little 5 year old ds - do you want to hear something spooky...a couple of wks b4 I did a test to confirm I was pg last time my son told my best friend that 'mummy is having a baby'. We both just laughed it off but lo and behold couple of wks later I was pg.

fingers crossed for anyone waiting for AF this weekend

StarryEyed · 23/05/2005 09:37

Hi all

Thanks you for all your good wishes. Had a fantastic wedding anniv - DH bought me flowers and took me out to a lovely meal. Very nice!! My birthday is at the end of this week so keep it coming. My sister too is pg with her first but very early still. I felt happy for her and envious at the same time. Wish it was me. I am only testing next week so 1.5 weeks to go. Urgh!!

Auntfanny · 23/05/2005 09:44

Worriedbev · 23/05/2005 12:00

Good morning everyone.
CD19 for me now, so counting the days. Had a strange temperature chart on ff though. ovulated on day 10, seven days later my temp went up from 36.5 to 36.9 - highest I have ever had, and then on Sunday to 36.8 and then today 36.7 so it is coming down but still high for me. Any ideas?
Is anyone due to test yet or got a few days left until af.
Bev

HandbagAddiction · 23/05/2005 12:02

Frizbe · 23/05/2005 12:07

Oooooh handbag, that sounds promising hopefully?

romilly · 23/05/2005 13:17

er friz - dont you mean worriedbev ???

worriedbev, high temps can be a sign of pg. BUT (theres always a but) i have had them and then they dropped, so theres no telling really... hope they stay up for you

welcome (or isnt it welcome back) dizzy

more later, feeling quite motivated to get some work done this morning!

romilly · 23/05/2005 13:21

debbsy - forgot to say, i would bd if i were you - you never know, the eggie might still be going strong

hi bella wherever you are, is your head better now? im now going teetotal for the 2ww, think i'm gonna Ov in next day or so. CD11 so im drinking gallons of grapefruit juice and hoping mr. rom is in a good mood with me

teuch · 23/05/2005 13:55

holy moley ! have been really pre-menstrual and crampy all weekend so went shopping to cheer myself up (public holiday...). By chance I was in the same place that I bought my last test that was positive so thought I would give it a bash and...it is only bloody positive!

I am absolutely sh!tting myself - haven't even told DH yet and also drank quite a lot of wine on Friday...raging at myself but I was so sure this wasn't our month...after one m/c I was sure I would be so good when we got our 2nd chance.

My head is all over the place but scared...

teuch · 23/05/2005 13:57

also...no congratulations please! too early adn I am more than a bit superstitious.

best of luck to the other testers x

dizzy36 · 23/05/2005 14:11

hello again. quick question, you know I mentioned my fibroid earlier? (sounds like am getting quite attached to it doesnt it) well dr said its about 7andahalf cm which sounded huge to me. He also said shouldn't affect fertility that much. I've read up on Fibroids since then and found out that fibroids the size of a 14 wk embryo can be a problem - from memory this is about 9-10 cms, am I right?

dizzy36 · 23/05/2005 14:15

teuch, just read yours, false positives are unlikely so sounds like you are...congrats. I wouldn't worry about the booze either, I had one big drinking weekend when my ds was conceived and he's fine...normal for you to worry about it though when been ttc as long as we all have stress doesn't stop when finally get the news we want.

dizzy36 · 23/05/2005 14:16

so what do I do...congratulate you! should have read it all...sorry luv. all the best

Frizbe · 23/05/2005 14:40

Oooo Teuch! but I shan't say it....

Rom, no I did mean handbag, posting with all the details later, as she is due to test today! although worried bev's news also sounds promising!

Milsomum any news?

Hulababy · 23/05/2005 14:43

Please let us congratulate you! It does sound so good And a positive test too. Don't worry about the drink. The month I finally found out I was pg with DD I had been drinking loads at a reunion party. DD is 3 now and just fine
