sweetkitty · 29/07/2009 22:23

mcchesers - I might have to take some credit in that BFP you know if it's not too icky lol congratulations and heres to a stressfree and wonderful pregnancy

Loobylou - sorry to see you go but hope it all works out for you, take care of yourself x

Feel very down tonight not just about the TTC/BFing business, other stuff as well. Feel like I should remove myself from the top of the board as it's not CD32 and not cycle 1 TTC, I should be back in limbo land

LeeWT · 29/07/2009 22:36

sweetkitty dont go off the board its not over til the witch appears.. my cycle used to be very irregular before going off the pill and you never know i'll prob be here til cd100000000!!

sorry you are feeling down i know how you feel im up and down like a proverbial .. well something! before my mc i never obsessed it always just happened and now im probably so stressed i'm preventing it.

so lets stick together in the hope of some sanity

sweetkitty · 29/07/2009 22:40

Thanks LeeWT - I won't leave don't worry I will be here for ages propping up the list no doubt. I feel pretty rubbish getting upset about not being pregnant when I have the most adorable 5yo, 3yo and 1yo asleep upstairs as I know a lot of women would give their right arms for that, I do feel extremely grateful everyday for that. I'm v upset about MIL dying TBH I was closer to her than my own Mum and keep expecting her to come up on the train laden with chocolate for the girls

Bettymamma · 30/07/2009 08:52

Mornin all,

hope i haven't mucked any stats up, i was doing this whilst my dd's were fighting over toy farm animals.

Congrats to McChesers! Sorry to lose you for a bit Loobylou. If i don't conceive this month i'm off the bus until July because my dh is away for 5 weeks around June 2010 and the thought of a newborn with 2 small children on my own scares me too much. So we may meet again.

Hello new people - this thread was very busy yesterday!

Sweetkitty - how are you, I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL, are you still in limboland?

Nancypreg - any news?

Ok - so i very naughtily tested yesterday morning (25 of 26 cycle)and got a BFN so i feel i should be getting up from my seat near the front very soon. Have had period pains and pmt for about a week now. I have (not very often) had a 28 day cycle so i haven't totally given up hope but i do keep running to the loo thinking i've come on (tmi i know)

wow! I miss a couple of days and there are 3 more BFPs!!!! Seriously lucky bus! Am selfishly hoping the luck comes my way this month, as I have really bad arthritis and being of the drugs so we can ttc is a (literal) pain.....

Sorry Loobylou, sending lots of baby dust your way by second class post so it arrives just in time for when you need it

NancyPreg · 30/07/2009 09:08

Morning all!!

Bettymamma sorry for your BFN and hope you know where you are in your cycle soon.

Well, all the fun for me has gone for another two weeks cos af got me last night so if you ask me, this is the real 2ww - there is very little fun involved whilst waiting to ovulate, well, ok, apart from using the OPKs . I'll go and join the May bus now cos the title of this thread is so very clearly for April babies!

Ah nancypreg that's like the driver getting off the bus lol! See u on the may bus..

Can anyone tell me the most sensitive preg test u can get? Used eBay cheapy which claims 5miu and in my imagination there's half a fainter than faint line have a first response in the cupboard but read on net that these are 25miu? Have a bender of a wkend coming up so want to be careful (was preg with dd on my hen wkend and didn't know am still not over the guilt)

congrats to the new grads

x

bubbalewy · 30/07/2009 10:24

Hi everyone, i know this is TMI but has anyone had spotting after DTD around ovulation time, think i will OV today, Ive never had this b4, Its got me thinking that there could be something wrong
And a big hello to all the new passengers xx

LittleOneMum · 30/07/2009 10:43

Hi ladies,

Sorry nancypreg... and Looby

Well I did my digital test this morning, so definitely pregnant. Overwhelmed!

bubbalewy · 30/07/2009 10:55

CONGRATULATIONS LITTLEONEMUM Them faint lines always keep ya thinking dont they lol

Bettymum · 30/07/2009 11:11

Good luck LoobyLou hope your test results are all fine and your hips get better.
Sorry to hear about AF NancyPreg.
Congratulations LittleOneMum!

sky27 · 30/07/2009 11:27

Good luck everyone...now departing this bus to catch the May bus. AF caught me yesterday

Bettymamma · 30/07/2009 12:48

A big proper congrats this time LittleOneMum - i think i added you to the graduates list this morning so i must be psychic..

bubbalewy - think i've heard something like this before. maybe worth just asking at the doctors, i'm not sure.

sorry sky27

My dull, boring wait continues..

SummerC · 30/07/2009 13:22

Well...I just did a First Response test (the ones you can do up to 6 days before AF is due) and as I suspected it was a BFN. I didn't really expect it to happen the first month, but I still can't help being gutted. Now I just need to wait for AF to arrive early next week.

So, like Sky27, I am now departing this bus for the May bus.

Congratulations to everyone who has graduated and best of luck to everyone still waiting to test.

LeeWT · 30/07/2009 13:23

Ah girls girls girls.. AF chasing me today terrible cramps and am due in 2-4 days effffin ragin!!! :-(

idealcamel · 30/07/2009 13:58

SummerC Don't want to make you insane, but the FR tests aren't that reliable, depending on when you do them. If you actually look at the stats they quote in their literature, they only have something like a 50% chance of being right 6 days before your period is due.

Other reasons not to test pre-period - you could have a chemical pregnancy which doesn't take and then you'll have to deal with all the questions that will end up raising for you. And pregnancy tests get bloody expensive! Just a thought - I know that I started this process frantically weeing on sticks, and it makes life more distressing!

SummerC · 30/07/2009 14:10

idealcamel I didn't realise that. I bought a 2 pack, so I will wait a couple more days and re-test. Not quite so gutted anymore so thank you!!

What is a chemical pregnancy? I have never heard that before.

idealcamel · 30/07/2009 14:22

A chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage when your body has started to produce the pregancy hormone - basically, if you don't do an early test, you might just think that your period was a bit late. The thing is, though, that if you know you were pregnant you'll probably end up grieving for the miscarriage. More info here miscarriage.about.com/od/onetimemiscarriages/p/chemicalpreg.htm

Lots of people here have totally different thoughts about whether or not to test early - you just have to do what's right for you. I've just become increasingly sure that it's a bad idea for me!

applesaretheonlyfruit · 30/07/2009 14:37

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had experience of following.

Had ERPC last monday at 9weeks pregnant because hb had stopped. Before that I had a very regular cycle of 28 days. It is now CD11 if you count the first day of last period as the day of ERPC. Have done a first response ovulation test which shows positive, but I am wondering if that is because I was recently pregnant. I mean, could that be a mistake?

SummerC · 30/07/2009 14:50

Thank you for the info idealcamel. I can see how repeated early testing and repeated chemical pregnancies could get very distressing.

My hands are suitably slapped - I definitely won't be testing early again

Bungo101 · 30/07/2009 16:34

Hi all.
I did two early tests - I know I shouldn't - and got a positive both times, but really faint. I was not expecting anything, as have been trying for 18 months with no positives. I don't trust that it isn't going to be an early miscarriage - don't want to get my hopes up!So I'll test again in a few days. Wish me luck

Bettymamma · 30/07/2009 16:44

applesaretheonlyfruit - hope someone can help you on this one but i reckon you should bd just in case!

idealcamel - i totally agree, i have 2 BFN's for both my dd's (saved in their respective baby boxes...) I should have learnt this time!

SummerC - you're now in limbo land with me.

Bettymamma · 30/07/2009 16:45

Oh Bungo101 - good luck!! Fingers crossed. Someone once told me that the pregnancy hormone increases every other day if that helps.
