So here it is... our shiney new thread... hope you all see it soon or i will be here all on my own.

OP posts:
HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 20:17

sif I know what you mean about not spending too much now... I must admit I got a bit like that about everything last time, I spent almost nothing on mat clothes, and I ended up really fed up. I thought I was being really clever getting a capsule wardrobe all in monochrome colours, black white grey etc. Come March '08 I'd been in them for nearly a year and I was so fed up I could scream. I bought nothing but colours for ages, and was desperate to look feminine and pretty rather than slummy mummy covered in puke. So you may want to just buy one sexy bra for now and whip it out on a saturday night when you need cheering up

bubble I'm sorry I can't really help as I know so little about this but from what I've read today it seems that test results can be interpreted in many different ways especially when it comes to morphology, so it's definitely worth getting the tests done again and in the mean time your plan to give your dh's sperm a full detox sounds great. No tight underwear, avoid cycling for periods more than 20 mins, good diet, no smoking, minimal drinking, plenty of exercise and fresh air, and lots of sex of course I'm sure that by the next time they're tested things will be much improved. And I'm sure they won't stop your clomid because of this. I won't take long to get your dh's swimmers back on track so there's no point in stopping your clomid in that time.

wasabipeanut · 25/06/2009 08:28

Morning all
How are we?

Girl Yay Yay Yay! Congratulations Am really happy for you.

Irish I?m so sorry TEW showed up. I was getting all excited for you. As others have recommended lots of wine usually helps! I wish you all the baby dust and good luck vibes I can for your preparations for this month!

Head You sound like you have had a fun few days! You make that mortgage company pay for their mistake! Sometimes being a grown up is such hard work isn?t it? You just want to regress and let someone else deal with it. Or, er, maybe that?s just me

Bubble So sorry to see your dh?s results weren?t what you wanted to see. I know very little about this but there seems to be a wealth of knowledge on MN about it. Vitamin supplements certainly may help. It?s so difficult but I am thinking of you.

Sif Welcome to the downright terrifying world of maternity underwear. I am deeply envious of your 32DD status ? I haven?t measured yet but last time my cup size didn?t go up much in the early days just the width which made me feel juuuuust great. So far all I seem to have is an alarming map of veins developing. I am getting smurf boobs again.

Underwired bras aren?t recommended as they can damage developing milk ducts apparently. How accurate this is I don?t know (it could just be another way of making sure pg women know their place or NCT propaganda) but I am sticking with the wire for a while yet as I like my bust well above my waistline.

Depending on how big you get you may find your choice starts to get restricted to the Anne Widdecombe dept. Soon you may have to endure bra straps that could hold up the Severn Bridge. And you often have to wear the buggers at night as well ? and certainly will if you breastfeed.

Warning ? I ended up an E just time. Ooooh have just noticed links that Head posted. I may have to invest. Mind you this does also mean having the courage to get measured. Eeeek.

No news from me really, just seeing how everyone is. Have a lovely day everyone x

irishmumwannabe · 25/06/2009 11:01

Morning al - my word it has been busy since I was last on...

Bubble I'm so sorry about your DH's results. I'd second teh vits as a suggestion - also to give you hope - my BIL had an incident with a rusty nail when he was much younger and had a 1% chance of ever beign able to father a child. That 1% chance is now a 3 yo boy. Get thee to Boots for teh Wellman vits. :-)

Sif LOL at the bra stories - not to brag but I'm already 34DD so to get any bigger would cripple me I think (they already kill me if I'm not in a proper bra)

Hello to Head, wasabi, jumping, Suzi, girl and everyone else - hope Glastonbury is going well Issy*.

Now I meant what I said yesterday - have the EPO in my bag and the prenatal vits (cleverly disguised in a Centrum bottle - don't want work peeps to twig). DH has the wellman vits as well. Have my digital ov test from CB to try and stop the "is that line dark enough" questions. I've cheated a little on the grapefruit juice though - can't stomach the stuff so I've gone for the Robinson's Hi Fruit Pink Grapefruit squash (I'll drink loads of it with my water in work so figure I'll get at least more than I usually would and it might help.

Work has come along and thrown a very big spanner in the works though - I might have to work overnight on the 2 days - have given DH an emergency schedule which involves him collecting me from work for an hour and then bringing me back...the lengths we go to hey

irishmumwannabe · 25/06/2009 11:03

Sorry for the spelling - in work so sneaky posting and never checked.

irishmumwannabe · 25/06/2009 11:23

Also have just uploaded pics (not very many) of my hols (and a few of my little furbabies as well). I've added you all to the list of people who can see them - will ye let me know if there is any problems with you seeing them and I'll try and sort it out.

sifuentes · 25/06/2009 13:00

i can't see no pics

irishmumwannabe · 25/06/2009 14:23

Sorry I've given access to all MNers now - so you should all be able to see them now - fingers crossed.

bluesatinsash · 25/06/2009 14:39

Hello All,

Sorry, I've not been on for a couple of days I've been at the mercy of the dreaded hay fever - aaaatttchoooo! Its murder and I can't take anything due to being up the duff! Left work early yesterday to come home and put my eyes in a bowl of water so no sneaky lurking or posting for moi.

Congrats girl - well done you, how are you feeling, has it sunk in yet?

I like your spirit irish - I went all digital after a couple of months on the cheapies - both OPKs and HPT - really feel its your month and your time is NOW!

wasabi - sorry forgot to say 'hey' on my last post (head fried from all the pollen). How are your stress levels? Hope your feeling a bit more chilled and positive. I also forgot to say how I LOL at your Isabella Oliver 'hazelnut quality street' comparison - I'll never look at one again without chuckling and I know exactly the dress you meant .

Head and Sif - v. v of your big boobies - I'm a 34b, still, at 14 weeks. Even whilst breastfeeding I only 'got' to a 34C (although they were lovely and veiny - yum - not!). Head - hope you gave the Abbey hell and what for and they are now bending over backwards. You'd think they would be savouring the custom just now .

bubble - really hope you get some definitive ansers to your DH's sperm count, there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what is good or not...

I'm still feeling sickie ickly, threw up last night and do wonder when its ever going to pass (not helped by fook telling me they had it until they were in labour . On the bright side tho' my shiney new mat clothes are en route and I'll be a vision of Boden esq loveliness come the weekend [calm yourself down emotion]

Better go, DS is stirring (bless him for still napping, I've just woken up myself ).

Speak soome my lovelies x

bluesatinsash · 25/06/2009 14:40

at my spelling.

bluesatinsash · 25/06/2009 14:42

Hey irish - love your photos! your DH is almost as cute as your furbies .

Sunnydale · 25/06/2009 18:54

Hello all. Yes, this must indeed be the luckiest thread ever. I thought that as soon as I read the new title to the new thread, and that was even BEFORE Girl added her BFP (huge congrats, Girl). Well hold on to your hats (and in some cases, stomachs), ladies, because I got my own BFP on Sunday!

It has been a bit of a rollercoaster time chez Sunnydale. We were on hols in Spain last week, but I can't say it was relaxing coz we got burgled on the second day. They took money, phone, camera... then there were the many, many hours spent with the Spanish police (Catalan not being our finest language). I'd taken a preg test with me but decided not to test until we got home. I held out until Father's Day, not really expecting a positive result even though AF was late, because as regular readers will know, I ALWAYS think I'm PG every month, and in fact this month I didn't feel PG at all.

Anyway, 7am rolls round, DH and DD were fast asleep and I thought "sod it - let's just get this out of the way". One red line came up, and I took it quite calmly. "Fair enough; just as I thought," I muttered. But lo! What's this? Another faint pink line! Well, I wrapped the test up in pretty paper and awoke my slumbering husband with the immortal words: "Happy Father's Day - I have a little present for you".

Two days later, I started puking really badly - both ends, if truth be told (and this is MN, where the truth must always be told) - pure bright yellow liquid (sorry for the TMI). Don't know if it's food poisoning or a virus, but am pretty sure it's more than morning sickness as it went on for 12 hours, plus one lone puke yesterday. I've called NHS Direct and also my doctor, but there's no reassurance they can give until they get the results of my poo sample in five days time. So although I'm delirious with happiness, I'm also beside myself with worry and would be ever so grateful if anyone has experienced similar or has any words of wisdom to offer. I've googled and it seems that a virus in itself isn't too much of a worry but that listeria is. Oh lordy. The poor bean is but 4 weeks old. It is smaller than a grain of rice. I am so, so worried.

Sorry for the selfish post; I need to lie down again as still weak from not being able to eat anything. Hope all you lovely ladies are well - big hugs - and sending even bigger hugs to Irish and others without their BFP: it will happen, it will happen, it will happen xxxxx

Sunnydale · 25/06/2009 19:01

Bubble, I had to post again as I've just read back this thread and feel v insensitive for my last post now. I'm so sorry about your DH's sperm test results but am sure the DR won't stop you taking the clomid - it can only be good to have your ovaries stimulated, and yes, it's def worth having the sperm tested again as results change all the time. Sending you lots and lots of hugs xxxxxx

irishmumwannabe · 25/06/2009 22:11

Hey Sunny firstly well done on your BFP - that is so cool -

Your holiday sounds stressful - not what you want Just to (maybe) reassure you as far as I know listeria is only gotten from drinking unpasteurised milk/dairy products. Hope you get your results soon and everything is ok.

We all like to vent and moan at times and this is what your MN ladies are here for.

blue thanks - I think so too [smug emoticon] I have been known to see him at one end of a supermarket aisle and think "wow that guy is hot" and two seconds later realise it's DH.

HeadFairy · 25/06/2009 22:25

Evening all

Congratulations sunnydale... what great news!!! Sorry about your nightmarish holiday burglary saga, hope your insurance coughs up! Talking of coughing up, I wouldn't worry too much about having an upset stomach. When you're pg, especially in early pregnancy, your immune system pretty much takes a back seat to stop you rejecting the baby. I had the most rotten upset stomach when I was pg with ds. I was puking my guts up and I'm almost never ever sick, not even with drink. My sister kept saying it was morning sickness, but I knew otherwise. It was most definitely a bug of some kind. I hope your test results confirm it was nothing more than a bit of spanish tummy.

Irish lovely photos, and boy what a cute..... kitten Hehehehe my myopic eyes can't work out if your dh is cute, but I'm sure he is if you married him But oh my God the furbabies are super cute!! I hope you enjoy your mat clothes... do Boden do maternity clothes? I hadn't realised, might have to check them out. My most urgent purchase though will be bras... I'm busting out of my E cups so more F cups will have to be bought. It's so uncomfortable, I've only got one really decent underwired mat bra so I'm in a scratchy saggy old non wired one that's two years old and really won't do!

I'm still waiting for Abbey to call me back. I've requested a call back so i can start a formal complaint, but they're on a backlog so it'll take a week. In the mean time we've had to shell out £500 for our own private survey to be done which I'm gunning to get back from the Abbey as they failed to do the survey in the first place (despite me paying for it!!)

I hope the Glasto lot aren't getting too wet, looks like Friday might be a bit soggy, Issy will be huddled in her tent I think, but Sat and Sun looks good. My cousins are there, they're hardcore Glasto goers, they've been every year (that it's been on) for 15 years!!

Anywaaaay.... I'm off to eat the Magnum I bought for dh as a surprise hahahahahaha, only kidding

Love peace and hairgrease xxx

SuziBhoy · 26/06/2009 10:04

congrats sunny so pleased for you!!

this is amazing i cant believe how lucky this thread has been!! Its your turn bubble, i can feel it!!

Bubblebell1 · 26/06/2009 10:54

Morning girls!

sunny congratulations thats brilliant news

Thanks for all your kind words Re.. DHs sperm test.... it seems i was worried for no reason. Dr phoned and said that his morphology is on the low side but the fact that his sperm count is high and mobility good he has a normal sperm count. She isnt going to stop my clomid and will refer me to a fertility specialist after 3 cycles on clomid... im happy that DHs swimmers are ok. .... but im still going to make sure he improves his lifestyle coz it doesnt only benefit his fertility.

Got my day 21 test tomorro. fingers crossed that the clomid worked

OP posts:
irishmumwannabe · 26/06/2009 11:17

Ah Bubble that's brilliant abotu teh swimmers - hopefully you'l have good news for us soon.

bluesatinsash · 26/06/2009 16:27

Congratulations sunny - what did we say about being on holiday ! sorry to hear about the burglarly tho' - horrible. hope your tummy bug is on its way out. Just take lots of liquids.

Gret news too bubble - and quite right getting your DH de-toxed .

Head - no Boden don't do maternity yet - I was wishing myself a la glamorous Boden photo shoot in my new clobber from Blooming Marvellous

Feeling this afternoon as on of the lovely ladies on my other thread has had bad news (mc) and it just brings it all back, the worry, fretting, is it all going to be OK? TFI Friday and I can get DH to soothe my fervered worried brow.

Love to all x

p.s. wasabi - new IO catalogue arrived yesterday gorgeous but MEGA expensive .

Sunnydale · 26/06/2009 17:14

Hello all - thanks for your congrats. Blue, sorry to hear about your friend on the other thread. I think I might take myself off to an annexe thread for paranoid wrecks, as I don't want to bring the mood down here, and I saw Wasabi on a thread that seemed comforting in the early stages.

Head, thanks for your reassurance - how PG were you when you had the upset tum? I'm worried coz the bean is so tiny, and of course I have one of those day to day guides telling you exactly which part of baby develops every day (which I can recommend, but won't as it only serves to make you more paranoid. The 12 hour yakking seemed to happen on Heart Formation day, though hey, it's probably not an exact science. Or is it...?

Bubble, so glad to hear DH's swimmers are up to scratch after all. Remember they managed to produce two beautiful DCs already... they can do a third! I'm sure the clomid will work its magic and this month will be your month.

Irish, your DH is indeed lovely and so are you - what a photogenic family! Think what cute babies you'll have.

Head, sorry to hear the Abbey are being rubbish. Honestly, you'd think they'd all be offering stellar customer service these days, wouldn't you.

As for maternity clothes (feel I'm a very long way off ordering those yet) I found Topshop cheapish and cheerful last time around. But the most beautiful stuff ever was at eliasandgrace.com - they have designer things, but they only buy the maternity-friendly bits from the collections. Swoon. Definitely one for window shopping only...

Issy, thinking of you at Glasto - hope the weather isn't too wet - props for going, you are v right to have fun and take your mind off things, and I admire you for it. Hope you are having a lovely time.

Hope everyone else is most well xxx

sifuentes · 26/06/2009 17:19

oh dear sorry to hear about that is it Barbie? Hope not oh dear. not that I want it to be anyone else either but i saw her posting on other threads a bit ago.

sunny ace news. Bubble and IRish. It won't be long for you two now i'm SURE

I have felt ok today. Bounced into work in an amazing mood. Then had annoying conversation with boss and burst in to tears. now feel happy again but nausea just starting to creep back so best leave the office as I really don't like being sick at the station! Am hopeful that I am passed the worst of it though.
Seriously craving really salty runny bluey vetoed cheeses with parma ham and salami.
Have eaten nearly a whole thing of taramasalata today. weird or what.
Love the photos irish lucky you. And I VONT the kitty!!

bon weekend tout le monde. can't wait to be able to buy new clothes. sorry all weak and floppy - deffo time to go.

sifuentes · 26/06/2009 17:25

Oh I just saw it was MLS :
that's really awful news. I'm sometimes look on that thread too because of the similar boat scenario and I recognise people who were very nice to me on the MC threads.
Is Barbie ok I could tell from the most recent posts.
oh and finally blue i hope your hayfever is a bit better.

HeadFairy · 27/06/2009 21:56

quick post from me on the fly... just wanted to reassure Sunnydale my tummy bug was pretty early on, about 6 or 7 weeks I think. I'm not sure if it was heart formation day but perhaps it was sensible part of the brain day because my ds is totally bonkers Seriously though, I'm sure you'll be fine. The body has a very good system of protecting a developing baby. It always protects the baby first, of course you that suffers instead

A big hello from me, enjoy the hot weather. I'm on nights next week so I'll be posting at wierd times of the night

xx

Bubblebell1 · 28/06/2009 08:59

Morning girls!

How is everyone??

Well its day 23 and 8 dpo. i feel so tired and my (.)(.) are wierd.

Im trying not to read into it tho as im not convinced the clomid has worked.

So PLS PLS keep my mind away from this awful symptom spotting.

OP posts:
SuziBhoy · 28/06/2009 15:09

oh i hope its your turn bubble, but do keep away from symptom spotting as ive read that clomid side effects are similar to pg symptoms, but that doesnt mean it hasnt worked!! Im excited for you..... how long do you have to wait before you know?

Bubblebell1 · 28/06/2009 16:54

Thanks suzi, i hope its my turn too and irishmums then we all have BFPs and can move to the Antenatal forum!

I was thinking that about the clomid aswell and i know that your mind can play cruel tricks on you. i got up twice last night for a pee and i havnt done that in years.... 2 yrs 4 months to be precise.

The earliest they are back is tuesday. i will phone them every morning from tuesday anyway just to make sure.
