Issy - that's wonderful about your scan and so so glad baby is tucked up in there .

at your experience though, maybe they were just trying to be overcautious on your behalf but I'm maybe giving them too much of the benefit of the doubt. I would try to resist getting jiggy with ex, as someone said to me once, there are plenty ways to skn a cat . Just don't want you worrying if you had any post-jiggy bleeding... Have a fantastic time and yay! to the chilling and mediation - lovely.

irish - have dropped a big truck of babydust over you and hoping your nips are a sign of a bfp en route! Glad you had a fab time in Korea - .

Hey sif - I haven't been sick since Thurs and do feel better (touch wood). Really think it partially due to everyone knowing and me talking about it. You don't really appreciate how stressful it is keeping your pg secret especially if you feel like death. Still have to eat little and often and still only a few things I can stomach but really hope its beginning to pass. They do day the placenta takes over from 14 weeks so any day now thank you very much .

Head - bought any new comfy clothes yet? I ordered from Bloom Marv via MN and got 18quid off total as we get 15% discount - note to all! I've ordered the double sided pillow as I'm uncomfy already in bed.

Bubble - how are you and clomid getting on this week? how's that gorg. new puppy? Are your slippers still intact .

Hey suzi - how are things with you?

Waves to Sunny and girl x

Bubblebell1 · 22/06/2009 19:38

Well.... its day 17 and clomid side effects have subsided i also got a + opk on saturday but have just stuck to the every other day rule... (gp said best to do that til dhs sperm test results come back) going for day 21 test on day 22 and will keep my fingers crossed that i did ovulate and i get a bfp soon.

wasabipeanut · 23/06/2009 14:10

Hi everyone,

Sorry I?ve not been able to check in for a few days. We are house hunting like mad at the mo having accepted an offer on ours and when I do get 5 minutes I just want to sleep. I am beginning to struggle a bit with the tiredness although am grateful that the nausea isn?t too bad ? just when hungry or if hit by a particularly offensive smell!

I look like crap though ? my skin looks all putty coloured and I am already having to wear trousers with the button undone whilst at home. I seem to blow up gradually throughout the day ? maybe it?s just a water retention thing. I can?t wait to get into the maternity wear but to do so yet (8+1) seems to just be tempting fate.

Issy and Suzi I am so glad that you have both been reassured by respective scans and tests. Issy have a fab time at Glasto. Just stay out of the mosh pit!

Irish Ooooh I am getting all excited for you. Sore, er fizzy feeling nips was the first sign for me! South Korea sounds ace ? am so glad you had a good time. Looking forward to seeing a few pics.

Blue Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better and that the dreaded ms may be starting to fade. It?s vile when you think it?s going and then it comes back with a vengeance. Have your Blooming Marvellous clothes turned up yet? I am going to have to get some more stuff I think as last time I was big in the Summer (Ds was a September baby) and this time will be the complete opposite.

Wishing Thank you for your lovely positive post. They are always nice to read!

Bubble Your new puppy and indeed existing ones are so cute. Fab names too.

Sif How are you feeling? You must be about 11 weeks by now? I know what you mean about this feeling of fogginess. I am clumsy too and then cry like a child if I break or walk into something.

Head You have been quieter of late. I assume all is well and your are just busy!
Right, I need to go and do practical bank stuff. Boo.

See you all soon x

irishmumwannabe · 23/06/2009 14:14

Issy so glad that you are ok and that the bean is nestled in still. Sticky vibes on the way and more on order too!!

that's a pity about the medicos beign so unhelpful - hope you get that resolved to your liking.

Blue glad that your ms seems to be subsiding - hopefully you won't have any recurrences. :-)

Bubble so glad to heat the Clomid effects are goignt oo - hope you get a BFP this month around.

Hi Suzi. Head, Wasabi, Jumping, Wishing and anyoen else I've missed

So I've realised that in my holiday fuzz yesterday I was miscounting - today is only CD27 - am feeling quite ill and had an innocent kids smoothie that made me nearly get sick - couldn't sleep on my front last night due to tender (.)(.) so ...I might test tomorrow if nothing has happened....watch this space.
(Remember I did have loads of symptoms in March but that was just a mega long cycle but fingers crossed)

irishmumwannabe · 23/06/2009 20:44

have started AF again - going to go away and lick my wounds for a while. I'll probably lurk to see how you go and will talk toyou all later.

Bubblebell1 · 24/06/2009 08:50

irish im so sorry... i really thought this was your lucky month. sending you and hoping your enjoying some naughty treats.

How is everyone else?

XxX

OP posts:
SuziBhoy · 24/06/2009 09:05

aw sorry irish, hope next cycle brings better luck x

girlwithacurl · 24/06/2009 09:48

Sorry Irish, have a large glass of wine and drown your sorrows!

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 11:09

Hiya all, sorry for long absence, the MIL was over from Cyprus so we were out doing stuff. I'm mightily relieved to be back to normal, I found it quite stressful having dh around all the time not helping with ds sitting on the computer all day

I've been very busy with the house move too, the mortgage company have cocked up our survey which has held us up, so I had a big row with them yesterday. I'm now brewing for a full on fight, ombudsmen and all!

irish so sorry af arrived, please don't be a stranger for too long. Your holiday sounds fab by the way. Glad to hear you had a great time!

Issy, I'm really happy for you that the scan went well and your baby is fine and dandy. The hospital sound like a bunch of arses though telling you you can't have an NT because you're too much of a worrier. What a load of balls. Even if you chose not to have an amnio to confirm anything, it still gives you the chance to consider what's going to happen if you do come out as high risk. I've always said I wouldn't terminate a baby if it was confirmed it had downs but knowing either way, even if it's just knowing you're high risk, can allow you prepare yourself mentally. I've heard very good things about the FMC, I hope you manage to get in there for a nuchal. Mine was great, because obviously they have to really hunt around for the nuchal fold to get a good measurement, it can sometimes take up to an hour so you get to get a good long look at your baby. Mine was waving, and jumping around

I hope you have a chilled time at Glasto. I'm a bit biased, I went once, waaaay back in my early 20s and it was rotten. A mud bath, I had most of my clothes stolen from my tent, missed most of the bands I wanted to see, was pitched next to the biggest bunch of tossers, and spent the whole time with a rotten hangover and dirty hair (which I really can't cope with ) so I hate Glasto, but I'm sure it'll be lovely for you. I think I just had a bad experience!

wasabi I always find my skin is rotten in the first trimester. I always look like death.. the whole glowy thing starts a bit later for me. However, my skin was never better about four months after ds was born, which is ironic because I was so tired I should have looked like death then too

I wouldn't worry about the maternity clothes thing, I've been in mat jeans since six weeks hahahahahhahahahaha! I still fit in to a couple of pairs of loose trousers and skirts, but that's it. Plus I hate having anything too tight around my abdomen, I've got such rotten trapped wind it's horribly uncomfortable so those stretchy waistbands are great

bubble so glad you got your + on your opk... hope the day 22 test goes well and this is your month. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Sif sorry you're still feeling rough... I'm not too bad. I get the occasional bout of total exhaustion, and the nausea is pretty much gone now, again just when I'm tired and hungry. It was the same last time really. I went skiing at 14-15 weeks when I was pg with ds and I felt pretty normal by then, didn't stop me skulking off the slopes at 3pm for several hot chocs in the mountain cafe rather than pounding the blacks as I would probably have not done when not pg

suzi so glad you're progressing... sounds all very promising. Hope it all carries on.

Wishing lovely to hear from you.. glad it's all going so much better. 19 weeks is fantastic!

Hello to everyone else, I hope you all have a lovely day.... I'm off to pick a fight with another poor unsuspecting member of staff at Abbey

xx

girlwithacurl · 24/06/2009 13:51

Well, this must be the luckiest thread ever... Got a BFP this morning...
only 3 to go now... All my positive vibes are coming for Irish bubble and sunny now!

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 14:15

Oh wow, great news girl, so happy for you

irishmumwannabe · 24/06/2009 15:08

AH Girl that is fantastic - I'm delighted for you - congratulations

Have decided that have to get back on the horse now - will get out the grapefruit juice, EPO, opks, bbt thermometer and crack down on DH and his swimmers.

Thanks everyone for your lovely words of support - I think I was in a post hooliday/AF funk yesterday but nothign can keep me down for too long.

Head I really hope you are getting somewhere with your mortgage company - I remember this time last year had the same thing - what a head wrecker. but the house will be worth it.

talk to you all later.

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 15:13

yay irish Good to hear you being so up. Good luck with all the plotting for this month. We'd miss you if you disappeared for too long!

SuziBhoy · 24/06/2009 15:56

congrats girl really pleased for you... let us know how you are getting on

sifuentes · 24/06/2009 16:30

Blimey O'Reilly. I turn my back for half an hour and the board goes mad.Whenever I have time to lurk it's just little me all on my own hitting refresh. over and over again. [tragic loser emoticon]

Well first I must start with the lovely girl! HOORAH for you. I'm massively happy for you. You have been keeping a very low profile lately so I was worried about you but clearly you were just getting jiggy with it! Hope we see much more of you now that you won't be anymore hawhawhaw.

Irish sorry about the BFN. Those symptoms are a bummer. Good to hear your chin is back up again though. And I agree you holiday sounds completely amazing.. I'm already wishing I got more of those in with DP. I loves an adventure, me.

Issy i know you are chilling in a crop circle dressed in white robes right now but wanted to say that i really recommend a private scan. The FMC were too busy toi see me so I went to a lovely clinic upstairs from them called the birth company. The sonographer gave me as much time as I wanted and gave everything a proper once over. I would go there for every scan if I was a bit more flush. They also have 3d which is awesome.

Oh dear - must go and pray to the porcelain god. Will get back to the rest of you later!!!!!
sorry for the TMI but you know - no secrets on here
bleurgh - going

Bubblebell1 · 24/06/2009 18:49

Girl that is the best news ive heard all day! im so pleased for you. congratulations

Dhs results came back. dont think its good news so gonna feel sorry for myself for a while. Im worried the dr will stop my clomid. and without that i wont ovulate. feel lost

OP posts:
SuziBhoy · 24/06/2009 19:04

bubble sorry to hear your feeling down, i take it you both have to go for an appointment then? i think ive told you this already but i will again just incase!! my dp got "bad" results but looked what happened to us... im not sure how but it did... dont give up hope as it will probably happen when you least expect it to! sending all my wishes x

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 19:07

Hi bubble so sorry you're so down. I posted on your other thread about this with a link to an article about how sperm morphology is classified. It appears that many clinics don't use WHO guidelines for classifying morphology, so give a misleadingly low reading. It's important to get another test done in a month. In the meantime, get to Boots and get some Wellman tablets to give your dh (they're in the vitamin section) which may help. I hope all this helps, and that perhaps those results weren't as accurate as they could be.

sifuentes · 24/06/2009 19:33

Oh bubble that's shit. But look at Gordon Ramsay. He had fried most of his in his hot kitchens and still managed 4 bambini. But of course you feel down about it. It's a blow. But at least you have one amazing puppy to divert you not to mention the very gorgeous dcs. Biocare do some really excellent multivitamins. They're stronger than ones you can buy in BOots though not dodgily so. A naturopath gave them to me and I notice a difference in our hair and nails and skin so I'm sure they helped elsewhere too. I'll try and find a link for you later.

Head it's lovely to see you bcak here again. You must be exhausted with work and DS and in laws and mortgage rucks. Hopefully things will calm down a bit soon. I'm pleased that you have begun to feel a bit better. I just need to know that there is a light at the end of this particular tunnel. I just feel like I have lost my identity and personality. Dramatic I know but evening sickness is seriously damaging to one's relationship health - friends and pretend marriage!
blue SO pleased that you are feeling perkier too and in your maternity clothes. I don't fit very much properly at the moment. I still have the same body shape apart from the engorged norkage which are much increased and feel like i am in a style void. I just don't want to shop until i get to 12 weeks. Too superstitious.

Yesterday I popped into JL on oxford st for a bra fitting. 32 DD thankyouverymuch [Andy Murray reverse punch thingy emoticon]
Anyway apart from boasting about the fact I finally have a cleavage the reason for this tale is that the woman refused to fit me with an underwired bra. It maybe didn't help that I was wearing a bit of a boudoir bra cos it's one of the only ones left that fits at all, but she thought it was outrageous that I didn't want to go into an anne widdecombe styley right away. I said I thought it was unecessary at this stage as long as the bra was a good fit. And she looked like I had told her that I thought it was ok to keep taking crack. QUe? Please tell me I don't have to wear droopy boob bras just yet. ploise ploise ploise??!?

wasabs totally with you on the tummy front. I obv haven't had a baby before but haven't kept my top button done up for some time. I think it's a mixture of water and wind It's also just more uncomfortable and nausea inducing to have it done up. Praps before I was wearing clothes that were too small but could keep them done up because I didn't feel sick?!?! who knows.

Anyway. WHAT a bloody ramble.

bubble I hope you get some good news from people who know more about this stuff on the other threads. [passes bubble a big slice of chocolate cake, a cup of tea, a magazine a comfy sofa and a quiet room]xxxxxxxx

suzi have you got a scan coming up again soon?

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 19:43

hahaha sif, that's nothing! I'm in 34F, yes that's right F!!!!

Anita do some underwired maternity and bfing bras... I did start wearing non wired mat ones last time I was pg, but they're horrendous, they give you that terrible mono boob look Trinny and Suzanna used to go on about! I think Figleaves sell Anita bras, but you can google them. I found them in decent sized dept stores, though maybe judging by your experience, not JL.

Be warned though, there aren't that many nice mat bras, someone suggested hot milk ones were rather groovy too and I did have a quick glance at their website the other day and they look rather sexy. Just make sure they're really well fitted, err on the side of generous, so you don't have any problems with wires digging in.

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 19:44

anita bra, told you they weren't exactly sexy but at least you won't be sweeping the floor with your nips

HeadFairy · 24/06/2009 19:49

figleaves sell a few hot milk bras they're not underwired, they are however rather lovely. Much nicer than anything I've ever seen... I might be off to get some myself! The hot milk website does give other online retailers that stock them if you're desperate for underwires (it's an NZ company so you can't get them direct)

Bubblebell1 · 24/06/2009 19:51

Thanks girls,

his sperm count was 98 million, morphology 4, motility 31% rapid 8% slow 48% non progessive.. something like that.

ive read some sites and some say that its normal and others say it isnt... im confused and hoping the dr will shed some light tomorro.

gonna get him and his swimmers on a lifestyle detox.

OP posts:
sifuentes · 24/06/2009 19:53

Thanks head, you page 3 stunna you!!
yeah ...I must say those bras don't shout out "i'm in my second trimester - jump me now" do they. I have seen Hot Milk but to be honest while I may still be increasing in size I'd rather not spend too much and I seem to remember they're a bit pricey so might save the investment for towards the end.
Mind you I am in a bikini top today so they will end up on the floor if i don't give them some more support very soon!

Anyway - off to watch a bit of the cilic match if it's still on before sobbing my way through an episode of Grey's Anatomy. Have a lovely evening xxx
