Hiya all, sorry for long absence, the MIL was over from Cyprus so we were out doing stuff. I'm mightily relieved to be back to normal, I found it quite stressful having dh around all the time not helping with ds sitting on the computer all day
I've been very busy with the house move too, the mortgage company have cocked up our survey which has held us up, so I had a big row with them yesterday. I'm now brewing for a full on fight, ombudsmen and all!
irish so sorry af arrived, please don't be a stranger for too long. Your holiday sounds fab by the way. Glad to hear you had a great time!
Issy, I'm really happy for you that the scan went well and your baby is fine and dandy. The hospital sound like a bunch of arses though telling you you can't have an NT because you're too much of a worrier. What a load of balls. Even if you chose not to have an amnio to confirm anything, it still gives you the chance to consider what's going to happen if you do come out as high risk. I've always said I wouldn't terminate a baby if it was confirmed it had downs but knowing either way, even if it's just knowing you're high risk, can allow you prepare yourself mentally. I've heard very good things about the FMC, I hope you manage to get in there for a nuchal. Mine was great, because obviously they have to really hunt around for the nuchal fold to get a good measurement, it can sometimes take up to an hour so you get to get a good long look at your baby. Mine was waving, and jumping around
I hope you have a chilled time at Glasto. I'm a bit biased, I went once, waaaay back in my early 20s and it was rotten. A mud bath, I had most of my clothes stolen from my tent, missed most of the bands I wanted to see, was pitched next to the biggest bunch of tossers, and spent the whole time with a rotten hangover and dirty hair (which I really can't cope with ) so I hate Glasto, but I'm sure it'll be lovely for you. I think I just had a bad experience!
wasabi I always find my skin is rotten in the first trimester. I always look like death.. the whole glowy thing starts a bit later for me. However, my skin was never better about four months after ds was born, which is ironic because I was so tired I should have looked like death then too
I wouldn't worry about the maternity clothes thing, I've been in mat jeans since six weeks hahahahahhahahahaha! I still fit in to a couple of pairs of loose trousers and skirts, but that's it. Plus I hate having anything too tight around my abdomen, I've got such rotten trapped wind it's horribly uncomfortable so those stretchy waistbands are great
bubble so glad you got your + on your opk... hope the day 22 test goes well and this is your month. Keeping everything crossed for you.
Sif sorry you're still feeling rough... I'm not too bad. I get the occasional bout of total exhaustion, and the nausea is pretty much gone now, again just when I'm tired and hungry. It was the same last time really. I went skiing at 14-15 weeks when I was pg with ds and I felt pretty normal by then, didn't stop me skulking off the slopes at 3pm for several hot chocs in the mountain cafe rather than pounding the blacks as I would probably have not done when not pg
suzi so glad you're progressing... sounds all very promising. Hope it all carries on.
Wishing lovely to hear from you.. glad it's all going so much better. 19 weeks is fantastic!
Hello to everyone else, I hope you all have a lovely day.... I'm off to pick a fight with another poor unsuspecting member of staff at Abbey
