Westkazza · 06/05/2009 11:41

Thank you all I'm still in shock. The doc is not sure how many weeks as I did 2 tests in April and they were BFN so I could only be about 4 weeks. My cycles are so mad so won't know until I have a dating scan next week.

Again thank you all for your congrats but also for just being a really nice bunch of peeps. I'm still gonna hang around if thats alright as I'm a nosey bugger and wanna know how everyone is!!! god luck to all of you xx

fruitbowl · 06/05/2009 12:22

Yay LisyL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chuffed to bits for ya! Well done lady! Hope DH picks you up v gently and whizzes you round in the air! (or something!)

Hi everyone else. Bit short fot time so can't reply to you all as I'd like but I'm in 2ww and of course absolutely certain I'm pg FOR NO GOOD REASON AT ALL. Well other than it's my obsession. I'm sure you know what I mean. Teeny tiny bit of queezy feeling last few days but it's probably all wishful thinking. God, i HATE this bit of the month - agghhhhhhhhh!

Love to all xx

fruitbowl · 06/05/2009 12:30

Oh my god, I'm so dim - didn't read the latest page so am 3 years behind everyone sorry (stoopid icon)

Mummycat so, so sorry you're low. My DD is constantly telling me to play games where she has a baby sister - feel for you I really do. How bout talking to your GP about depression concerns and maybe get an appointment with the practice counsellor to talk through how you're feeling? Whatever you decide. Take good care of yourself. x

Westkazza - brill! brill!brill!brill! news! congrats. So happy for you. Tell us other old birds how you did it? Oh OK I can probably guess

fruitbowl · 06/05/2009 12:32

Feel even more stupid now - was getting this thread mixed up with the TTC over 40s one hence the "old birds" comment. No offence intended. I'm off to have my head examined as I've obviously lost the plot today...

amelied · 06/05/2009 13:11

Fruitbowl It may be "pregnancy brain" that you are suffering from???

Evening Ladies,

Can't believe I have missed so much on here. I have been laid up with flu (not swine though I dont think lol)

Have had really bac migraines with the flu and just can't sit at PC, even had to take time off work because it was doing me in.

Ok firstly Congrats so Lisy, Katlonka and Weskezza, well done to you all. It's so exiting to see these much wanted and awaited BFP's. Good Luck to you all and I hope you have happy healthy pregnancies.

The clomid was really good for me this cycle and I didn't have any side effects, in fact it was like I wasn't even taking it.

Also handy enough I had a bad chasty cough starting on Sundy so bought some medicine, not Robitussin but another one with the same active ingredient and have been having ov pains since monday so at the moment I haven't dried up either
Have been having loads of sex because the plan was every other night but I have been feeling that bad that we went 5 days without so have done it 3 nights on the trot now. I'm a bit like John Wayne at the moment lol.

Awen sorry to hear about what the consultant has said (((((hugs))))). I hope that things can work out for you. That's a long time to have to wait to see the doc again though. This really annoys me because they leave you in limbo for an eternity. I hope you're feeling a bit better now hun.

I finally have my appt through. It was meant to be for March (around cycle 3 of clomid) but it's for 29th May. I know exactly what i want to say and ask but I dare say they wont even aknowledge me. It's also with a different consultant this time.

I hope eveyone else is ok. Good Luck to everyone waiting to test and those waiting to ov.

beanieb · 07/05/2009 08:36

Congratulations Westkazza!

stac14 · 07/05/2009 09:54

Hey clure
no wonder your fed up chick, that is terrible service, hope you get some joy today xxx

Hope everyone else is well. xxx

MamaMaiasaura · 07/05/2009 12:33

Katlonka, Lisylou1980 and Westkazza FANTASTIC news really pleased for you all. This is a very lucky thread, lovely to see so many graduates. Hope we all join you too

I had letter from consultant offering that i try another round of 150 clomid, presecription request for provera etc enclosed. Think we will give it a go but just have the feeling that it is probably pointless at the moment. Ds2 down to 3 feeds a day though, bless him.

xx babydust to all xx

stac14 · 07/05/2009 13:27

Hi alfiemax sounds promising with the cough mixture, I used evening primrose oil caps this month and didnt seem dried up as last time

Hi awen Good to hear your going to give it another shot, nothing ventured nothing gained eh, and with it being so lucky on here you never know!! Can I just ask a quick question? Where you on the metformin longer than the clomid last time and what dose you were on? (sorry that was two questions)

beanieb · 07/05/2009 13:30

Hi all.

do you mind if I ask some questions as I wasn't a memebr of the other thread and don't know your histories.

Is there anyone here who has been prescribed clomid even though they are already ovulating? Anyone with 'unexplained' infertility? Has anyone here been successsful on Clomid after not managing it on their own despite regularly ovulating or are you all taking Clomid because you don't ovulate?

Clure · 07/05/2009 15:57

Hi,

I was just wondering if any of you ladies have had experience of provera not working. Maybe it's just me! I've just fired off another email to consultant secretary as I can't get through on phone.

stac you are right it is a shoddy service. So tempted to go private!

amelied · 07/05/2009 16:13

Hi Beanieb

My story is that I have been given 6 months worth of Clomid - I am round #3 this month and have another 7 days before I can test.

I do ovulate, I have had 3 miscarriages in the past 3.5 years so I can get pregnant, although it does take a bit of time for it to happen. Had all the recurrent miscarriage tests which came back normal. My FC has given me the Clomid to basically speed up th process as I have just turned 40.

On saying that, I have read on here that it has the reverse effect if you can ovulate.

Do you know why they have gave you this if you are ovulating?

beanieb · 07/05/2009 16:25

Hiya Amelied,

they gave it to me because I have 'unexplained fertility' and they said that if it made me release more eggs I might have more chance of the sperm getting to at least one. Am a bit shocked that it might actually have a reverse effect though!

I had a scan on day ten and they said I was about to release an egg, but only one.

I am 39 and feel I am running out of time. been trying since October 2007 and never got pregnant.

I am only on the first round of a 3 month course at 50mg and I am expecting my period this weekend so getting very twitchy about testing (I won't though!!) even though I have had absolutely no PMT, no pregnancy symptoms etc. It's all been a bit strange this month really.

amelied · 07/05/2009 17:25

Hi Beanieb That was the same explanation that I was given to increase my chances.

I only have read about a reverse effect here - not by FC or any other books/publications I have researched on.

amelied · 07/05/2009 17:29

Sorry I clicked on "post message" in error there

I know that feeling only to well that time is running out...

Im on 50mg also, taken at night to try and sleep through the side-effects.

I will tell you one thing though - my last short-lived pregnancy (mc at 11 weeks) - I had absolutely no pregnancy symptoms, so there is hope for you. Keep in touch and tell us how you are getting on and chin up and best of luck

amelied · 07/05/2009 17:31

Another thing Beanieb - have you had any exploratory (sp?) scans or a camera internal scan, lap & dye etc - you may have a blockage?

stac14 · 07/05/2009 18:32

Good evening ladies, I just wanted to share my news that I have managed to ovulate this month the doc phoned to tell me, unfortunately it was dp who took the call so I dont know my levels but I am just so chuffed as this is the first time on the clomid that I have ov'd so I am officially on 2ww, so happy xxx
