Hi fairy i actually got that pain towards the middle of my pregnancy, in particular when i was turning in my sleep, i would cry out in pain which panicked my DH something rotten but once i settled it was fine.

my MIL used to be a midwife and she said that any kind of pain like that is fine as long as it eventually goes away and is not constant.

I would mention it to your midwife to put your mind at rest, however, in the meantime dont worry about it, i found that gently massaging it made it go away. I dont get it now.

I had my MW appointment yesterday and it seems that babba is still breech which is starting to be of concern, only because if it doesnt turn within the next two weeks then i have to see a consultant to discuss a c-section. I was really flat about it yesterday but after sleeping on it i am thinking that maybe it is a good thing, as i have said before i am a complete 'pain wimp' and although it is a bit of a cop out maybe it is just the ticket for summerbird So i have now decided i am not going to worry about it as DH said he would rather that the baby and i are safe with no complications.

Hey all,

Lucky you Summer, I wish Jelly was still breech... . You can have the C-Section for both of us!! Think of me stuck in the hospital being induced day after day, waiting for it to work... Won't even have DH there as there's no point in him starting his paternity leave just to sit around the hospital with me all day... So I'll be taking my laptop and a load of DVDs with me and a set of headphones, aswell as books. When they try and induce you early, it can take two or three days for anything to happen, but they won't let me come home. Crap isn't it...

Crunchy, I can't believe that they did that to you!! What a bunch of arses!! Well done you for not taking it though and getting another positive result at the clinic!! Hope the appointment with the MW goes well next week.

Fairy, I got those pains too hun, please don't worry. It's just your LO burrowing in nice and deeply - you wouldn't want it any other way!!

So, other than that, a quiet day here. Really struggled when I went out today, I thought I'd been feeling really well through this PG, but strangely I felt really tired and uncomfortable today. But there you go - I am coming up for 34 weeks so I guess I should start to expect some discomfort. Jelly is jumping around all over the place though so that's good!!

Off to make some Nachos for tea tonight - yum yum yum!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day!!

summerbird · 25/04/2009 18:52

Oh dawn i know hun in fact you were the first person i thought of when i was getting all fed up about it - i thought that dawn would be jumping through hoops by this point! that is partly why i picked myself up and started thinking positive about it, so what if i am achy for a few weeks afterwards as it will all be worth it.

so where are all of our TTCers then i looong for stories of knicker checking and 2WW's! Come on lasses

OP posts:
DawnAS · 25/04/2009 19:24

Hey Summer,

Totally freaking myself out, reading stories on MN about inductions. Seems like people would rather avoid them at all costs and ESPECIALLY before you're full-term as they can be incredibly painful.

Also just realised that although the MW said I can have an epidural as soon as they've broken my waters, it's still really painful getting to that stage apparently - so I guess G&A it's going to have to be - bloody brilliant - NOT!!

Yes, I want to know where all our TTCers are aswell - have they abandoned us all do you think - I hope not!!

summerbird · 25/04/2009 20:55

dawn stop reading mumsnet and just talk to us!! MN is good but can also be evil

aaaaaaaand relax and have a virtual glass of vino!

Well as you can see I'm coming up to slap bang in the middle of my cycle so there has been frollicking galore in my house (especially as BIL has been away)! Last month I didn't ovulate until sometime between CD17 and 19 so I think we're just going to have to keep going until after that... poor DH!

So how is everyone? More to the point WHERE is everyone?

Iate, hope you're ok? Come back whenever you're ready.

crunchynutter · 26/04/2009 13:31

Hi all and thank you! i'm glad you all agree I wasn't over-reacting! I laughed about it with the receptionists who were actually quite sympathetic! I said I was willing to do another tese if the doctor wanted but they said there was no need and I still didn't talk to the doctor even though he walked past I hope to God the midwife is a little more confident as I am likely to either burst into tears or physically attack her! (DH has just said i'm like the incredible hulk as I had a bit of an explosion of butter! )

Anyway, fairy I have been getting those pains/twinges in my side too- been as they only ever last a minute or two i just sit or lie and wait for it to pass! They were usually along my left side but the last couple of days I have felt it slightly higher up on my right side?! I just think with all that's going on in there we are bound to feel something! I am feeling much better but i'm starting to panic about keeping the house spotless (it's been difficult with all the decorating but we are nearly there!) My dog seems to be sheding fur like he's bored of it or something! I'm getting really paranoid that the hover needs to be on 24/7! but... I am too scared to carry the dyson upstairs incase it does any harm so DH is getting LOTS of nagging at the moment

I bet all the TTC's are out frolicking in the sunshine! IT is a rather lovely day! xx

crunchynutter · 26/04/2009 13:34

ooh- Hever I almost forgot!! you were due yesterday! Any news?? I hope all is well lovely! xx

NewMember · 26/04/2009 18:03

I have said Cycle 2 as I am now going by my Clear Blue Fertility Monitor! I should really be 5/6!

heverhoney1 · 26/04/2009 18:13

Dawn - You could be worrying over nothing you could go into labour naturally, and I wouldnt listen to other people on here. People are much more likely to write about things that have gone wrong than they are to say - It all went just fine!

DAWN and SUMMER - Get ready for constant texts and phone calls from people you barely hear from from 1 month to the next normally! I am getting a bit tired already of assuring people that there have been no deliveries and that if there had been my mum has a list of numbers to text with the vital stats. (This is not me having a moan about you guys, for us its different everyone on here is on the same page - this is about nosey people who normally couldnt give a {tried to think of a polite way of putting it but cant} *%&T)

CRUNCHY - You are in no way over reacting! I think your docs need to look seriously at their records there could be someone out there who now thinks they are pregnant but arent! either way mistakes like that should NEVER happen!

heverhoney1 · 26/04/2009 18:14

Ah- New mamber AF sucks!!!!!

NewMember · 26/04/2009 18:17

Yea I feel so FRUSTRATED today - i have NEVER had a 24 day cycle! Really odd!

DawnAS · 26/04/2009 20:38

Newmember, are you sure it's your AF and not implantation bleeding? I realised there was something slightly odd when I got bleeding a week early and assumed it was my AF, when actually it was implantation... Do you know when you OVd? It would be very unusual to have such a short time between OVing and AF if it was only a week or so... Just an idea...

Hever, you could be right, I guess I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst. As long as I tell them I want the epidural really early on, I should be Ok. How is your LO Hever? Still wiggling a lot or has he/she slowed down in readiness for popping out?!!

Big waves to Pistachio, Summer and Crunchy!!

NewMember · 26/04/2009 20:43

Hi DawnAS

My clearblue stated 2 peak days on the 12th & 13th! I started having slight cramps in my lower tummy and back about 4 days ago - i was also more tired and emotional! So I started thinking ... this could be it

Although this morning I started bleeding! It has continued all day, its also getting heavier so i really think it must be AF!

So gutted about it - starting to worry a little!

summerbird · 26/04/2009 20:44

newmember could it be implantation bleed? dont want to build your hopes up but if it is that unusual then maybe... do you have any odd symptoms?

hever i know what you mean, i havent had it yet but am expecting the onslaught over the next couple of weeks. I have deleted a whole load of 'friends' from facebook just for that reason as i dont want the world and its wife knowing my business this close to the birth.

so how are you hever? (from someone who really does give a $%!£ )i suppose it is just a frustrating waiting game now, are you managing to get out and about? at least the weather is nice to sit outside.

masses of babydust for our TTCers *

Hi summerbird - I was more tired and emotional! The bleeding has continued and got heavier!

I have never had a 24 day cycle - very odd!

DawnAS · 26/04/2009 20:55

Hmmm, Newmember, implantation could be different for everyone. My Mum had bleeding every 6 weeks through two of her five pregnancies, almost like a normal period every time.

If you're worried though, call the GP tomorrow and just ask the question...

xxx

NewMember · 26/04/2009 20:58

Yea think i am scared its another 'chemical pregnancy' - time will tell I guess!

How long to you have to go now?

x

DawnAS · 26/04/2009 21:54

I hope it's not another CP for you... have you taken a PG test just in case?

I am 34 weeks on Wednesday, exactly a week behind Summer, but they are going to induce me early because of the diabetes. I've got a scan at 36 weeks and if Jelly's still within normal ranges, they will probably induce me at 39 weeks, but if she's a bit bigger, they will normally induce at 38 weeks. So could be 4 weeks or 5 weeks!! Scary!!

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. Catch up with you tomorrow honey and try not to worry...

summerbird · 26/04/2009 22:23

newmember i agree with dawn and would ring the GP or your local midwife just to ask.

take care hun and sleep well

OP posts:
NewMember · 27/04/2009 19:55

Thanx Ladies, it is very nice having the support on here! Spoke to GP and he said it is possible! I have to monitor my cycles for the next 3 months, then if nothing happens by then he will run some tests! So concerning!

Great news that you only have few weeks to go! Hopefully it will fly in for u both!

xx

Vix67 · 27/04/2009 20:34
