Hello all,
Fairy, please don't apologise honey. You will naturally have wobbly moments right up until your 12 week scan, as anyone does, even if they haven't MCd!! I guess in a way, I was slightly luckier because the MC was even earlier than yours, at 5 weeks, so I only had to wait until 6 weeks to get past that first hurdle. But I still don't relax even now so unfortunately all you PG ladies will have to get used to that.
There are constant hurdles to go through, right throughout the PG. The 12 week scan, the 20 week scan to make sure everything's where it should be and working, then 25 weeks when a large number of babies can survive if they're born too early. But I really think all this is preparing us for Motherhood - when we will NEVER STOP worrying!!
So Fairy and all the other PG girls, feel free to have wobbles whenever you need them and those of us that are slightly further on, will offer all the reassurances that you need, while worrying about our own next hurdles. MN is great for supporting each and every one of us.
Back to your original messages Fairy, glad that you started to get those PG feelings back again after relaxing. I'm sure that you are going to be fine, but maybe with some wobbly moments thrown in for good measure. It's amazing, I really thought people breezed through PG - but I'm not convinced that anyone has a trouble-free one...
Pistachio, I had a lovely dinner thanks darlin', although I did have some forbidden food and am trying not to think too hard about it. For my starter I had a Chicken and Chorizo (forbidden food) skewer. There were only a couple of bits of Chorizo though and I haven't been ill so I'm sure all is fine. I then had whole Seabass with a pesto sauce and some chips and veg, followed by Apple and Blackberry Crumble and Clotted Cream. I took 12 units of insulin before my meal and my reading was 6.9!! I was so thrilled that I'd kept it below the dreaded 7!! Did you have a nice weekend honey? Back to work tomorrow - yuck!!
Summer, hey hun, how was your weekend in Newcastle? Hope you had a good time!! What a gem of your Dsis to offer to come and stay so that you can go away. Luckily by our next WA, Jelly will be about 10 months old, although it's more the animals that we would struggle to get looked after, but I'm sure we will have lists of people offering to babysit so that we can go out for dinner!! And at least by then, I'll be allowed to have whatever I want without have to worry about injections first - sheer bliss!!
Crunchy, have you already been diagnosed with Anaemia or did you have it before PG? It's quite common in PG so when they test you they will just put you on Iron tablets I would imagine. Try not to worry too much, horrid when you're going through it though. I've had a few dizzy spells in the last couple of weeks and wonder if it's something to do with lack of iron now that I've had to change my diet so radically...
Anyway, hope everyone has had a lovely weekend and eaten lots of choccies for me!!
