dh and I are having a last push at ttc. we are giving it either a year or another mc before we give up (haven't told gp ) so i have decided to reopen the anti-testing thread!

fmu? hope lil sis is feeling bit better today! i'm of to work in an hour then i have 2 days of! yayyyy

4thtimelucky · 19/03/2009 11:17

Love the pillow idea! Like a cork - am also laughing!

But not really - was out with a two of my closest friends last night and telling them about TTC and they were really dismissive as if it was a stupid thing to do. I have practically lost touch with all my married friends as they all have children now, their lifestyles and mine completely diverged so the friends I see now are almost exclusively the single ones. Their reaction surprised me and makes me doubt what we have decided to do when it's actually pretty much as right a time as it could ever be and that I am kidding myself that it may have worked this month and looking at mags in WHSmiths, reading the internet about fertility and everything and eyeing up testing kits in Boots is just foolish madness.

Hi

Still lurking and still spotting but AF still not really "Started" and was due on Monday - so still feeling confused. Trying to keep holding out and not test.

Joycey29 · 19/03/2009 13:33

Hold out Liskey, It will be worth it in the end - I had loads of spotting with DD - even had to go for early scan at 5 weeks but she's a healthy 2 year old now!

Joycey29 · 19/03/2009 13:34

lol at pillow! I'm a tilter myself - the headstand was never my strong point!

Liskey · 19/03/2009 14:06

I'm thinking about testing tomorrow now - cheers for that Joycey - but I had the opposite occur last year bleeding at 6 weeks then missed miscarriage

nunnie · 19/03/2009 14:23

i am officially pissed off. period has arrived 4d early, cried for ages last night and dh woke me up because i was having bad dreams. have to ring cons in a bit, seems we need some help.

OP posts:
Joycey29 · 20/03/2009 08:01

Oh Lissie I'm so sorry! I can't believe it turned up early! I think your idea to ring cons is a good one, atleast it will make you feel like you are doing something! Bugger, I really hoped you were!
It's not even really a consolation that you saved the test money.

OracleInaCoracle · 20/03/2009 08:04

than you. i was so hopeful! i even ovd from good side this month. feel totally shell-shocked and like such a failure.

OP posts:
Joycey29 · 20/03/2009 08:11

Not a failure!
You have been so great for all of us - we look up to you! You seem so in control and sorted - even if you don't feel it at the moment.
Have you spoken to a cons before??

OracleInaCoracle · 20/03/2009 08:13

yes, was referred to cons after 3rd mc and again after ep, have seen 3 different docs, one in liverpool, and 2 in my local PCT, one infertility specialist, and one recurrent mc specialist. last time said there was little they could do while i was getting up the pole and mc-ing, now im rarely getting pg at all.

OP posts:
Joycey29 · 20/03/2009 08:21

Bugger modern science! They almost seem to know too much at times without being helpful!
I am sure that this month is just a blip on the PG front, you've done it before you can get a BFP again!

shirleyc · 20/03/2009 08:37

Aww Lissie i really am sorry for you! I dont know your background but i can feel your pain and anger. .

I dont know what to say other than what Joycey said, you can get a bfp again. In the meantime if i've learnt anything on mn its that we're here for you, even if you need to scream and shout its ok.

OracleInaCoracle · 20/03/2009 08:42

OracleInaCoracle · 20/03/2009 09:05
